I really like this gym, but the equipment is outdated. It had a plethora of equipment and room for extra movement. The maintenance seems to be behind and the staff is great. The hydro message chairs are great for recovery and pre/post workout treatment.

I would sat it needs upkeep and new equipment.

WARNING: The Treamills will hurt you!!!

I used to really like going here, but within the past couple of years, the gym has not been great. The tvs hadn’t worked in a year, the treadmills will kill you if you’re not careful by them randomly shutting off while exercising, the pads on certain machines are worn, and it’s getting crowded! Need them TVs to work so I’m not staring at others while they exercise. I may have to start looking for another gym. Man, I used to love this gym!

In the 2 years I've been a member, Bender's has gone steadily downhill. It's sad. There are two massage chairs; one has never worked in 2 years, now the other seems to be DOA too. The locker doors are falling off in the women's restroom. The TVs have all gone black. Soap dispenders all quit working; their solution was to replace them with Dial pump soap bottles from the Dollar Store. Clocks all over the walls, but they are all dead. Pads on the machines explode and it takes them weeks to replace. There are big Coke and water dispensers up front, but they are empty. My credit card was just dinged for the yearly $29 maintenance fee. You people are kidding, right? I really like the location of Bender's and how safe I feel as a woman in this parking lot after dark, but I've had it. I'm looking for a new gym.

We Pay a yearly maintenance dues on top of monthly dues and nothing ever gets fixed ..i almost broke a rib running on 1 of the treadmills and the breaker flipped and i hit the front of the machine running...parts missing off of machines..tanning bulbs need changed ..water massage tables never work..lots of cracked padding on machines and benches we work out on...tvs are not on any longer not sure if they work or not...i like the lay out and the room to workout but have no idea why we pay yearly maintenance dues and takes forever to get something fixed not to mention some stuff doesnt stay fixed like the water massaging chairs 🤷‍♂️

I’ve heard they’ve lost a lot of members because of the maintenance problems. The urinal in the men’s bathroom has been broken for months but parts have supposedly been ordered. Still not fixed. Machines pads are all but falling apart. Took over a month to fix the cable machine. Absentee owners that know nothing of gym maintenance.

Gym was awesome when it first opened now maintenance isn’t done, equipment is broken and tagged, tanning beds have lights not working, pads on machines are worn out, massage chairs don’t work anymore and nothing gets fixed, yet they charge an annual fee for upkeep.it’s a little cheaper than anytime fitness but way behind in terms of quality. Very disappointed with management.

I love this gym. Even though I don't 'workout', I go for tanning and hydromassage bed. I think they do need to change the bulbs in the stand up bed. The other tanning bed is out of service but heard they were putting in a new one..I hope so! Sometimes I just want to lay and be lazy as I tan 😁 but please change bulbs in stand up bed🤩 overall it is a great gym. Everyone is friendly, staff and members. Maybe one day I'll start working out but as of now I just work out for getting tanned and relaxing. And it has never been crowded when I go, yeah there are people there but no one is waiting on equipment.. just us waiting for the 1 tanning bed 😁. Love this place and it's overall a great gym and good mix of older and younger people of all sizes...so come check this place out..you won't be disappointed!

Matrix Equipment. Helpful staff. Three Rogue squat stands (not cages). Plenty of barbells and Dumbbells up to 120lbs, and a football bar. Leg press & V-squat, but no hack squat or belt squat. Seated leg curl, but no laying leg curl, but does have two GHRs. No ab machines. No lateral delt machine, but does have a nice pec deck / rear delt machine. There's one 90° (vertical) smith machine.

Two cable towers, one stand alone dual-cable unit. Various cardio equipment. Plenty of benches (2 flat, 1 each incline, decline, seated-military). Plenty of equipment for just about everything.

9/10 overall, not perfect but realize that absolutely no place is. They have a standing and a laying tanning booth, too. Pretty damned clean place. They say it gets crowded around 5pm.

I really can't say enough good things about this place. First, the staff is incredibly friendly. Second, if you are going to lift they have everything you need. Could use a few more squat racks but you usually don't have to wait so it's not an issue. These people worked so great with me while I was visiting for the month from out of town. I recommend anyone looking for a great gym to check them out. Especially if you are traveling and need to get in a good workout while on the road. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Great gym! I always visit here when I am in town. Staff is very friendly and helpful and they have everything I need. I like to mix up body building and oly lifts and some cardio. The rouge racks, bumper plates and curve treadmill make for a great circuit when I want to mix up the cardio. Definitely recommend!!

The gym is much smaller inside then it looks on the outside. So, I walked up to get a membership as I'm new in town and in need of a new gym. The guy starts getting me signed up, I had to agree to a bunch of stuff, nothing new. Except that when I got to the part where they charge me an ADDITIONAL 30 dollars every year in the month of March just to maintain equipment, as well as a 35 dollar per month membership fee, AND 50 bucks just to start the membership! I'd rather drive the 40 minutes to Planet Fitness in Huntsville for 21 bucks a month and no hidden fees, and they have 3x's the equipment and space.

Do not operate according to their posted business hours. Showed up at 430PM on a Friday. Door locked and staff gone. Paper handwritten sign saying “be back Saturday at 9AM”. Lol, I’d hope so, that’s the posted hours. Don’t plan your trip there unless you call first.
