I trained here while on vacation in Gulf Shores. I will definitely be back. The place is extremely clean, well maintained and organized.

While my husband and I were on vacation at Orange Beach, I asked Chris if he would help me β€˜crisp’ my forms in preparation for my black belt testing in Pelham, AL the following week.
When he said , β€œIt would be an honor”, I was so impressed. Someone with a fifth degree black belt was willing to take time to work with a 66 year-old grandmother!
Chris was extremely knowledgeable and kind!!

While I do not live in the Gulf Shores area, I wanted to share my experience with Sensei Chris. I was on vacation with my kids when my car broke down, I pulled into his parking lot to wait for the tow truck. Sensei Chris, was kind enough to take my kids on a tour of his studio, offered us drinks, the restroom and even a ride to the shop if required. He was so nice and we really appreciated the kindness he showed during our extremely stressful time! Sensei Chris, we made it back home safely 😊 My drive belt & tensioner broke! Thank you again for your kindness!!

I was visiting from out of town and looking for a place to take a Muay Thai class. Saw the good reviews and gave Wheeles a shot.

Def worth it. Sensei Chris is extremely knowledgeable and approachable as was coach Scott who taught the class I went to.

Most important to me: I felt a strong sense of respect and camaraderie amongst the team. They look out for each other, they stop to help, and they have fun.

Shout out to Alonzo for leading 2 of the 3 sessions I went to. Those were great.

The kids classes also look great. I’ll be back!

So thankful we found these Folks when we moved back to the Beach - my Son absolutely thrives there, and they treat everyone like Family. Don’t wait, get those kids moving and involved. OSU, Wheeles Karate - best of the best!

Great gym, I highly recommend! I recently dropped in for a couple of Muay Thai classes while visiting Gulf Shores. Owner Chris and Coach Scott were very welcoming and gave tons of individualized feedback for my upcoming fight. Both were generous with their time and knowledge. The other students were a great group - very friendly and quick to include a new face. All around a fantastic atmosphere and great for all skill levels. Very grateful for the experience and will visit again if I'm back in the area!

I came into the school to drop in and do jiu jitsu while visiting from out of town and chris, the owner, was super nice and welcoming. Josh led a solid jiu jitsu class, bunch of killers in that room. If you're looking for no gi jiu jitsu in the area, look no further. 10/10

I train out of a BJJ school in Bham which is also under 10p. I just rolled up there a few minutes before class, signed a waiver and they didn't even charge me to drop in. Super nice so I bought some gear. Training was excellent. The whole facility is practically aseptic. They even have signs posted everywhere about cleaning procedures and frequency. Would recommend for a home school or just drop ins.

A big indicator of a good school is how their kids program is populated. And the karate classes had a ton of kids. Awesome to see

Can’t say enough good things about this place and Sensei Chris. Our grandson just started the Little Dragons class. He was extremely shy and nervous the first few classes, and even stood in the corner crying. Each class Chris would take him by the hand and lead him onto the floor and have him participate and help set up the nights events. Now fast forward 2 months, and our grandson can’t get enough of this place. He is passionate and excited about going. He has learned to count to 10 in Japanese, do a ninja jump, and so much more. This week he got to move up to his first colored belt (yellow). And to do so he had to break a board with his bare hands. Which to our grandson’s surprise he did without a problem. Even though he thought his muscle were going to be small to break. So, thank you Sensei Chris and the rest of the staff at Wheeles Karate. You have given our grandson something to be proud of and passionate about for the first time. You guys are the best.

Wheeles karate has been wonderful for my son, Edward. He’s only 4 and broke his first Board yesterday! Sensei Chris has helped him to find confidence, courage, and discipline. All the staff are excellent! Highly recommend!

I dropped in for open mat and a couple of nogi classes (taught by Josh) while on vacation. Chris was very welcoming as were Josh and the rest of the folks. Clean gym, good rolls, great instruction.

My two children just started. No doubt this will be great for them both. Instructors are patient and helpful to new students. I may even decide to join in the near future? Sensei Wheeles and staff conduct themselves in a very polite kind confident and professional manner. Definitely recommend this dojo.
