I went to this gym, one time and the guy at the front desk Fraudulently signed me up for a membership! I’ve made numerous calls to resolve this issue and they will not stop charging my credit card. Wasn't a bad gym but be ready for all the fees that you are charged. Read the contract before you sign up. There's a membership cancelation fee, you must give 30 days notice when you cancel and any payment within that 30 days will get taken out, I had to call three different people to actually cancel, and you're membership is auto renewed despite you not going there for 200 some days.

I honestly love the Huntsville Youfit. The equipment is great and it’s always clean and the staff are nice. I have been a member for almost two years. However, within the last 2-3 months, the opening times have been horribly inconsistent. At least six times in the last two months, you have not been open at 5am on a weekday. And this is the second Sunday in April you have not been open at 8am. I get that it’s difficult for employees to get in at 5am. But I’ve worked at at gym and opened it at 5am before. You either need to change your hours or give members key cards. Because we can’t keep showing up ready to workout and the gym be closed.

Cancelling is a massive hassle. I printed off my receipt via email of my cancelation and they continued to charge me for 4 months after that. Each time was a different story. I eventually had to call my bank and put a stop payment so they couldn’t pay themselves again. Super shady tactics, highly suggest you lift at a place that isn’t going to try to trap you.

This Gym is a trap. Covid came through they shut the doors but continued charging. No child care nothing but a shopping complex building with workout machines. Canceled my membership well past 1 year contract and still charged a cancellation fee and then charged another month after that. When I ask management why I’m being charged when I hadn’t used the membership in a year they said it’s policy you canceled in the middle of last month???? Really like REALLY!? I normally workout elsewhere, but I heard rumors of TikTok sensation Harley McMahan working at the south Huntsville location so I instantaneously switched gyms. The overall location and gym is nice, but I solely got this gym membership to see Harley McMahan. Really nice guy, he’s exactly who I expected him to be from his TikToks. Very helpful, kind, and even gave me uno advice. Wouldn’t recommend any other gym in town!

This gym is amazing and for 25 dollars a month, one of the best bargains close to where I live. The facility is clean, has sanitizing stations all over the gym. The staff is helpful, the personal trainers are incredibly knowledgeable, and the equipment is top notch. If you are looking to make a change in yourself this is an incredible place to begin that journey.

This gym is a flipping joke. When you want to cancel, it becomes the problem. I called and was told the process of cancelling. When I got there, the story changed. The guy at the front desk was just as rude as the manager I previously spoke with. Seems like you would want to keep a good reputation seeing as how there are ample amounts of gyms available. I paid for almost a year and only worked out for 1 month and you think you’re going to charge me an additional month to cancel…I’ll never, ever return or recommend this gym!!

Been a member for years and always enjoyed working out there; however, recently their musical selections have become awful. Instead of the classic rock and roll (AC/DC, Van Halen, Joan Jett, etc) they used to play, now it's nothing but a continuous stream of thug music, with vile and misogynistic lyrics. Basically the sort of playlist you'd expect in the exercise yard of a prison, rather than a family-friendly fitness center. So, if you decide to visit this You Fit, get a good pair of ear buds and bring your own music.

I canceled this gym since June/2020, the staff told me they will refund money into my account in threes week. After two months I still not received any refunds from youfit. I try to call for asking a reason, they just said ( they will refund but really don’t when) maybe 2 or 3 years later.
The refund is not a large amount, but the problem of handling the work is not professional at all.

The gym is always clean and smells nice. It is easy to maneuver within the gym, not usually too crowded. The staff is always willing to assist with advice or help spotting with a difficult exercise when I am struggling. Music is varied enough that I never become bored and there is no vulgar or distasteful music being played. Feels like a safe environment for me to work out in without being bothered.

For a globogym style gym this place is pretty good. They have most of the equipment I want (though I wish they had a legitimate power rack with a 1,000lb rated bar) and its only really crowded during what I call the "lemming times." Price is excellent. Wish they would give people a pamphlet or short video on gym etiquette as they sign up though. Lots of folks blocking the dumbbells when doing their sets and taking up equipment for too long. Can't fault the place for that though.

I was a member there for about 2 years. It is a great facility. They keep the place really clean. Everyone is nice and it's not crowded. I didn't want a monthly draft so I opted to pay up front for a year. Their system will not allow you to purchase a year at the promo rate. I still managed to get a discount just not as great. When my membership ended I recieved quite a few phone calls, most while I was at work. I'd like to come back but I don't have the money up front and I'm not interested in any bank draft drama.

I have been to three Youfits in the last year, and this one is by far the best one. All the employees were very friendly, and greeted everyone that walked in. All of the equipment was up to date, and the gym itself is always CLEAN. I haven't had any hidden fees or catches; the employees explain everyth charge that came out, and I haven't had any surprises. I started my membership back in December 2014. I got an assessment with a personal trainer, and fell in love with being at the gym. 50 pounds later, by Summer of 2015 I felt i was done needing the gym. Cancelled my membership. Shortly after i found myself missing the atmosphere and the staff. Rejoined, even though i was disappointed that the rates had gone up. Have been a member since. And have no intention of cancelling again.

Pros: Friendly staff, for the most part. Up to date equipment. Fair costs.
Cons: Only one location, South Huntsville. Limited package plans.

If you have any inkling you might discontinue membership, beware of the fees. The language is there in the contract, but that font is very small and they definitely don't bring your attention to the raping that takes place should you leave. What got my goat was being charged for a whole last month when only two days had gone by in said month. Just because a business can include policies like this in a contract doesn't mean that they should. The policies I'm talking about are insulting to patrons. The gym business model itself is one wherein profit margins are slim, I get it. But being subversive is insulting. The staff is trained to fight to hang on to customers to the point of annoyance. Upon my sign up I was told I had to have an assessment. I thought great. I arrived and which Trainer Cole tells me to warm up on the treadmill. I have no clue where it is or how to operate it, but OK figured it out. He then gives me weights I couldn't pick up. I realize I was in the gym for a reason and not to be laughed at by him. He tells me I need additional training. I explained I had no idea the assessment was to consider extra $ for a trainer. I told him I could not spend any extra which his reply was thanks for coming in. I have never been laughed at by a trainer and felt so embarrassed. Not sure I can go back.

Horrible what they did! They took out 3 transactions in one month without even telling me about the extra fees. I was told that the normal 20.00 a month would be taken out this June PLUS an additional 40.00 in June to cover an annual fee or whatever. So I made sure that the money in my account was in there for that. However, nothing was ever said to me about them taking an additional $50.00 out of my account just recently this month, leaving me in the overdraft! And NOW.... I have to wait for a manager who is out of town to come in and fix this! I really hope this isn't being done to anyone else, but just beware. Definitely reporting to my bank that this charge was unauthorized... because I was not even made aware of this 50.00 fee by any of the gym members at all and I am seriously considering canceling my membership with them right now, even if they refund the money.
