I rented a Kia forte from here for about 12 hrs only had 12hrs and drove exactly 23 miles. They charged me for 1.51 gallons of fuel @9.99 a gallon. It was like a $15 charge. Not a lot but when you consider this car gets on low side 36 miles to the gallon there is something off here and then on top of that this Avis doesnβt honor national Avis discounts where I was supposed to be charged market price for fill ups. I called and tried to get them to make it right but never received call back as they said I would. If they charge everyone like this I could see a pattern of bad behavior. Where this location only charges a little extra so as to not look bad

The sports complex is great IF youβre not a student at UAA. The gyms are small and terrible and closed all the time. The sauna isnβt hot. Students paying tuition to a university should at the very least have access to a decent 24 hour gym. Iβm sure the UAA athletes have some secret gym somewhere thatβs great.

It's a nice arena, just shocked for a college that it was as small as it is. I heard they had a bigger arena, but it's not used for a homeless camp. Not sure how accurate that is, but it is disappointing to know they don't have a bigger arena.

We attended a martial arts tournament in the gym at the Seawolf Sports Complex. It was a good venue for that purpose. They should have opened all the gates at the top of the bleachers, though, because it was inconvenient to have everyone walking down one lane and crossing the gym floor to access the rest of the stands. Also, the complex has nice locker rooms, but the men's locker room is a long way from the gym. Parking was ample. The venue was easy to get to. Google Maps got us right to the door. Fun day. We took home a lot of medals.

Great option for UAA students. Not sure for public as facility quality can't justify the price.

Student gym is old, weightlifting center smells like it hasn't been cleaned since the 90's (I know someone who got pinkeye from going there), hours of operation are terrible and inconsistent. They will shut down the entire center for UAA hockey games, kids hockey games, swim meets, etc. Students taking full time credits are FORCED to pay a membership fee for this place, I wish they would give us the choice to pay for their facilities or use our money to get a membership somewhere with decent facilities and consistent hours. Most students avoid this place, I would reccomend you do the same

I love watching my daughter play hockey here. I do have a few issues. I cannot see that this facility is wheel chair accessible. That needs fixed immediately. The vending machines need tended to more regularly too. They rarely work. The concession stand needs to be open more often. The ice is great though and anchorage is lucky to have UAA.

Itβs always great to watch the girls on the ice at the Seawolf Sports Complex. The bleachers are abundant, itβs kept pretty warm and there are several places to take a walk and explore. In fact, the UAA Bookstore & Student Union are connected via enclosed walkway. The rink is very well lit, which helps when trying to get a good action photo. With both a cafe and a Subway in the building, there is generally a place to grab a snack. The facility brings a lot to Anchorage. UAA generously allows for community use and encourages youth engagement in sports. Another Anchorage gem!

The speakers for the games were blasted right into the section I was seated at and there were no earplugs provided, either for free or for sale. The doors for the zamboni were also next to this seating area for visiting team fans, so it was cold. The announcer for hockey games was a poor announcer, made a lot of mistakes in his speaking. He must not have a communications degree or a lot of experience in public speaking. There were several times that the music was left on when the puck was in play. And the same songs were played during intermission and timeouts and when the puck was not in play.

Good for students. Non student passes are expensive. Two gyms that have great hours. The pool is very large. Lap swim and open swim at pretty good hours.
The only bad thing is there is very limited ice time. Hockey has okay times, but figure or open skating is SUPER limited.

I came to the Wells Fargo Sports Complex to perform in the 2018 Fur Rendezvous Ice skating show. The Ice surface is very well kept. The entire facility is extremely clean. Public session have room and space carved out for ice artist to practice their moves in a smaller space.

$7 for adults admission will get you access to Saturday/Sunday open gym for volleyball, plus weights, track and pool! Be sure to call ahead to make sure the gym doesn't have another event scheduled - and if it is critical, ask for a manager, because unfortunately, 3 times in the past I've called to confirm and the people answering the phone did not have the current information! Not good when you are scheduling a team to show up for practice...=/ That aside, the facilities are excellent.
