The North Star Ballet, founded in 1980, is non-profit dance school offering ballet, creative movement, and contemporary dance classes for both recreational and pre professional students ages 4-adult. In addition to classes, North Star Ballet produces The Nutcracker in December & mixed repertory performances in the spring and fall.

I highly recommend the Intro to Adult Ballet class, it is the perfect place for someone who's never danced a day in their life. I now take the Adult 1 ballet class and love the community of other women who want to stay fit through dancing!

I absolutely adore North Star Ballet. My daughter has been a student since September and looks forward to class every week. The classes are developmentally and age appropriate, the teachers are enthusiastic and incredibly knowledgeable. The facility is beautiful as well. I know my child is in good hands while taking class or rehearsing for a show. I highly recommend any classes this studio has to offer.

I signed up for the Intro to Adult Ballet class last fall, and had so much fun learning the basics of ballet. Now I’m in the drop-in class, and I really look forward to it every week! Elizabeth is an amazing teacher, and she’s incredibly knowledgeable about the history of ballet.

My daughter takes lessons with NSB. The people are amazing and accomidating. Recently saw the Spring Gala Snow White production and it was sensation. Very talented dancers, Good music and fantastic choreography.

Had a wonderful experience with North Star Ballet! They work hard to make sure each child gets a part in the magical Nutcracker performance. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to get their child into ballet. Liz was always ready to answer all of my silly questions.

We absolutely LOVE North Star Ballet! My daughter Adrianna was a part of North Star years ago and now my daughter Isabelle has started taking classes. The staff has always been very kind and professional. They are absolutely amazing at getting in contact with you or answering any questions you may have! And the best part? They absolutely love teaching and truly enjoy being there for all of their dancers!!!❤️❤️❤️ My daughter has been so excited for ballet this year, she has literally been getting ready hours before her class!!! Definitely get in contact with Samantha or Elizabeth if your child is interested in Ballet!

North Star Ballet has been a vital force in our Fairbanks community during this year and the pandemic.
Seeing the smile in my daughter’s face as she was able to safely go back to a ballet class and watch the amazing tale red dancers we have in this town was beyond beautiful.
Their commitment to keep our community safe and the extra steps and consideration they took to keep the arts going despite almost everything being turned upside down was inspiring.
Their classes are amazingly professional and set foundational skills for a lifetime of love for dancing ❤️ 🩰

If you want to be a dancer, this really is the school to go to. The technique you learn here will last you you're whole life! It's been over 15 years and even as a non dancer, I still remember and use on a daily basis the technique I learned at North Star.
