I was told today that I can no longer use my own cable handles because someone from PF corporate saw me with my own handles and cable rope. The front desk told me that the corporate person indicated that this was a legal risk for PF. Really! Your real risk is having people not understanding how to exercise not a cable handle. This kind of attitude angers me. I terminated my membership today......

This might be my favorite Planet Fitness I've been to! First time going in today. It's clean, spacious, not busy, equipment not shut down, proper signage on the spa room machines and none of the bs they've been adding/taking away at new Planet Fitnesses (like in LA, they're removing the stretching equipment and replacing the stretch mats with paper thin child sized ones, and their TBE machines have false signage, and adding whacky things like TV screens right in front of your face on the ellipticals - I can't work out like that...and they're busy). Other ones I've been to are in Fairbanks and Ohio where they're fine but I think I am going to really like this one! They even have newer row machines with an easier clip tightener to secure your feet with a couple more options on the screen. Reception desk was nice :)

I would've rated this PF higher but to be perfectly honest every time I come in to workout the sinks in the men's locker room look absolutely horrible! Either staff isn't checking things enough or members just need to learn how to clean up after themselves!

Just an update: as you can see I received a response regarding my previous review. I just have to say I am a paying Black Card member, i pay PF to employee managers who get paid to tell employees to do their jobs! I don't get paid to tell your employees to do their jobs!

There are new laws in place stating subscriptions and memberships need to have a "one click" cancelation.
This PF not only does not abide by that, they will hassle you repeatedly to come in and cancel. Which, funny enough, I did do in June of 2022.
I've got documentation of my several phone calls and emails trying to cancel this, not even get my money back, just trying to prevent any more of my money from being taken. It took countless calls and emails to finally get a call back. Absolutely the rudest person I talked to and go figure, took her 5 seconds to cancel it.
I'm not a Karen, I hate leaving bad reviews, but this needs to be posted. I'll also be sending everything to the BBB and an attorney.

Honestly loved this place especially with our black card but after I canceled me and my fiancé membership due to a tragedy in the family & hardships at end of 2024 I was charged a randomn$69 charge + $25.00 charge x2 within 3 days of each other a month AFTER we canceled. & still no refund given & no one can even explain what the $69 charge was for as it doesn't equal the once a year "dues" or even both months of membership cost as they always come in separate @ $25.00 each. Highly disappointed in planet fitness. I'd be willing to change the rating to the 5☆ if manager or corporate would call me back & give me a refund that I deserve as the funds were taken without my consent or authorization and it was over a month AFTER I canceled

PF has taken out the weight circuit that I used and replaced the machines with a collection of random equipment. I miss the 30 minute circuit and am probably going to drop my membership. My friend already has. Boooo!!!! Hi there- I will talk to the manager but did talk to a staff member about it. She said that all PF gyms were removing the equipment and didnt know why. What I liked about the circuit is that the equipment fit me- I’m 5’1”. I will follow up and ask. But it was very convenient before and sure is not now with people doing long sets on the weight equipment and not wanting me to work in. Plus there are not enough weight benches!

I would give a 5 but I am very upset . I have been coming to this location for around 3 years now. Today I came in for a tan and a work out before I would head to work . I hadn’t tanned in a couple weeks . I know my skin and my body and have a condition called Ehlors Danlos syndrome and fibromyalgia, so I am very careful . I approached the gap at the counter and she proceeded to ask me full time ? I said no ! 6 minutes please . She then asked me again , “how much time ?” As if she didn’t hear me . I said louder , 6 minutes please. She was very short with me. Didn’t even make eye contact. Said number 3 . I went in as usual and put my goggles on . Hit start and with my goggles on closed my eyes like I always do . It seems like it was longer than 6 minutes and I was staring to severely overheat to the point of the shakes . I opened the doors because the start button doesn’t end the session. I am guessing that’s why there is an emergency shut off buttton . I just wanted out . Before exiting I looked at the time and it said 8:53 . I felt like I had been cooked . I proceeded to get dressed and went and told the other counter person since the one who had done this was leaning on the counter quite relaxed . She didn’t apologize or anything . After reporting it to the other employee, showing her how I was burnt and shaking, feeling like I wanted to pass out , I put on my hoodie but couldn’t bear to put my coat on I was so overheated. I went out to my truck where it took me 20 minutes to calm my shakes before I could drive . Now I’m home after tattooing in pain . Not only pain of a burn , but now having a severe flare up . I did not catch the employee’s name . I will be going back to get the name and I will be writing a formal complaint with pictures included . This is not ok. We are leaving our safety in your staffs hands . She constantly looks like she doesn’t want to be there . She shouldn’t be there , It is harmful and neglectful. I can’t imagine if it had happened to someone on their first time tanning . I did not consent to 9 minutes. I asked for 6 which is the minimum . I have not one time ever asked for the maximum time . I am heavily considering canceling my membership. It’s not worth risking my health.
I use this to help replace the vitamins from the sun we lack . I have severe anxiety and depression. I come here to better my health. Now, I’m untrusting and am anxious to return I’ll try to attach pics here that are appropriate .

It's a decent gym. They keep it clean and the instructor is awesome. Has a lot of experience and is easy to talk to and ask questions. Very informative and will help you get to your own personal goals. It can definitely get busy sometimes so it's good to find the right time to go so it's not crowded.

I like the location, the employees seem happy to be there, sometimes you find a couple of pieces of equipment out of order but it doesn't seem too long for them to fix them. I like the several sections it has been created for specific workouts. Unfortunately I frequently observe individuals monopolizing equipment, especially in the 30 min circuit area, which explicitly states - and even uses red and green lights to show - that the machine should be used for 1 minute, cleaned in the 30 second period, and vacated for the next member to use.

The thing i did not like about as a first time or new user of the amenities for black card members which are the massages, front personels arent very helpful with it. One time a guy helped with the massage chair and then i asked for help when the massage turned off, i said i needed to use it more & i believe i accidentally turned or pressed it off and no one helped so i left. Not only have I felt uncomfortable working out at this gym due to guys who think its ok to interrupt a workout to flirt, but when I wanted to cancel mine and my boyfriends membership I was literally told I had to go there in person to sign a document or send a letter with a signature on it. This is inconvenient for those of us who work 2 jobs and raise our children. The fact that I can cancel ANY membership I have via the website and/or the apps makes it amazing however planet fitness fails to to this same thing because they obviously want to refuse letting you quit them easily. I am an absolutely unhappy customer and one star is even too much to give this bogus company.

Overall, the Planet Fitness concept brings a much-needed breath of fresh air to the personal fitness and weight training gym scene. I like working out here, and with a black card membership, I can use the facilities in other locations like Anchorage or Eagle River, when travelling. My two main criticisms for all the PF locations I have used are the use of cell phones on the gym floor and the related issue of people lounging on the machines in-between sets. Cell phones need to banned in the gym and management needs to educate and remind members about proper gym etiquette when using the machines, as I have had to wait numerous times while someone completes their entire sets for a muscle group on a particular machine, including ridiculous amounts of rest while they scroll on their phones. If you are done with a set, get off the machine and let someone else use it! Basic courtesy when in a gym that is moderately full of members.

Friendly staff, Great for the price, but if you're going during normal hours, expect to wait for popular equipment like the squat rack (Smith machine) no free weights except dumbells. I was able to get everything done I wanted in reasonable time, excluding squats. Also, their cancelation policy requires you CANCEL IN PERSON, so if you are visiting make sure you cancel before you leave.

I've been going here for a while now. I do enjoy tanning, massages, and the workout equipment. The only thing I can say that I don't like about planet fitness is the fact that you can't cancel your membership if you need to. It is a month to month membership. I should be able to cancel it. I understand their is also an annual fee, but there have been a few months when I've needed to cancel that membership fee just to make sure I had the last $30 of my rent money. But I couldn't cancel the membership. Therefore I ended up HAVING to pay fir it anyways. I will most likely switch gyms just because of this inconvenience

Got this gym for convenience and price. Most of the machines are alright. The free weight stations are almost always getting hogged by muscle heads lol. Seriously though they camp there forever. With how crowded this place is it would help to expand or open more locations. It would be nice if they hired janitorial staff. The floors are filthy this winter in the gym and locker rooms. I am at the gym for about 2 hours at a time I've never seen staff wipe machines down. I always clean the machines after I use them but not everyone does. The showers during peak times are so chilly. The showers are also dirty everytime I use them. They have not been cleaned in some time. There's grit and mildew buildup in them. Shower slippers are a must. MRSA and warts are things I try to avoid.

It's one of my favorite locations of PF! Located in Midtown, the guests are pretty laid back at this location. The people that complain think of the time you're going in to work out, is it peak times? The Staff are amazing with customer service and made my fitness journey much easier to stay on track even on my bad days! I'm a regular, so most afternoon/night staff know me by now.

It was just a little itty bitty free weight little 2lb'er ya just a little freebie but as long as he kept eating his iron he would grow up to become a big free weight and do big things just other free weights. Went in to sign up today. Found out you have to sign up using the app. Nice seating area available to sit and sign up. After signing up, I went to front desk and asked for a tour of the facility, what I needed to do when entering, how to sign up for tanning and massages. Overall I thought there was alot of cardio equipment and a decent amount of nautilus style equipment. Not alot of free weights, but those don't really interest me.

The equipment is consistently out of order. They have 4 stair masters and two have been out of order for weeks. The equipment from the old site was moved into this new location, nothing upgraded from what i can tell. Workers standing behind counter and they use to wipe down equipment constantly. Bathrooms are dirty and not kept up. AND…not sure what the situation is, but a homeless looking individual sits at the only table and chairs near the window all the time. I feel like PF gets a bad rap sometimes because of the whole water bottle thing or the "lunk alarm". I've brought large (30 plus oz) water bottles in with no issue and in the several years I've been going here never heard the alarm sound.
