Relita is a great asset to the club for women. She always has good energy to give. She is always moving and taking care of the club and the club members. She shows that she really cares about the members and the atmosphere she is in charge of. Love coming in seeing her greet me with that smile.

The gym is fine but they take forever fixing hot water here. Most of the time you have to take cold shower. Even when people complain they just ignore it. Today the toilet wasn’t flushing and the front desk girl just sneered and ignored it.Bathroom was utterly disgusting. If it’s not working they can put a sign to warn customers to go over to the other side.

I was very shy to go back to this club because it was so quiet and intimidating. Then one day I decided to try it again because I realized the atmosphere and privacy are exactly what makes it comfortable to work out in. The equipment is always clean and the hot tub is perfect. I also love that I’m next door to where my husband works out and we have access to the gym for basketball

Jolene gave a great massage and found that elusive balance of talking just enough to put you at ease and giving enough quiet to be allow you to relax. She requested my wish for medium pressure without deep muscle work- my goal for a massage is less sport recovery and more mental health! It was just as I asked and I appreciated that.

I recently had a massage at The Alaska Club Women's location with Jolene and she was amazing. She listened to my preferences and where my body needed focus, it was wonderful, relaxing and just what my sore muscles needed. I highly recommend Jolene for a massage at the Alaska Club.

I love that the AK Club has a space for women. The vibe is great here. I wish more resources were put into keeping the locker room clean and the showers/bathrooms running well. Make sure to bring flip-flops for the showers, and hot water is hit or miss. I enjoy the classes in the main gym so I continue to come.

i really love the Alaska club for women, it is always clearer that the West club , the people are friendly and thoughtful and if is just the best though to know that we women have a place where we can just come and let our hair down and be comfortable i. our own gym, without having men look at us especially when we don't feel our best.

The AK club is definitely worth the price tag. They offer excellent classes with wonderful instructors. The clubs are clean and equipment is well-kept. The women's club is beautiful; I frequently go twice a day. I work out in the morning and often pop over after work to sit in the hot tub and steam room. The AK clubs are located all over the Anchorage area and in the valley as well. The clubs have improved my fitness and my mental health during the long Alaska winters.

My wife was using the Women’s side of the club when our daughter began showing hunger cues. She went back to the Women’s side with our daughter to use the facility to nurse her and was asked to walk all the way across to the general public side to feed her because it’s 21+ only. Why have a Women’s side of the facility if you can’t even support the women using it? Very inconvenient and rude. Support your women by providing them with a safe place to do things like this if they need it.
*Update*
Their response made it sound like I was trying to be with my wife while she nursed our daughter. We both entered in the AK club through the Women’s side to drop off our two small children in childcare (if you use this location you know the drop off is much closer to the Women’s side). They clearly watched the footage of us coming in and are now twisting the truth. My wife went into the Women’s Club locker room and the staff followed her in and asked her to go elsewhere.
Pursuant to the FSLA laws, a woman should have a place other than a restroom to nurse, thus entering the women’s club with our baby, however, was told she could not. She was then obligated to nurse in the hallway.

Could be better but nice that it’s only women. They have all these perks when you sign up but then it’s impossible to schedule anything because they don’t actually have it. The hot tub is a major plus tho!

This was my first experience with a women’s only gym. The staff is friendly and the facility is clean. They have plenty of equipment needed for an effective workout! There’s a squat rack, smith machine, barbells, kettle bells, machines, etc. The locker room is spacious and still provides your sauna, steam room, and whirlpool. Overall, 10/10. I only use the Women’s gym ✨

I have been going to the Alaska Club for over 20 years and I really appreciate the excellent classes in Yoga, Pilates, Group Power and Zumba. The instructors are top notch. I also use the pools, which have many hours for adult lap swimming. The new(ish) Studio on Jewel lake also has awesome Hot Yoga! This place is a great deal for all you get!

I visited this gym while on vacation. The Manager, Charles, was exceptionally professional, welcoming and accommodating. This facility offers many options from the type of equipment to the group fitness classes available. The gym is pristine and has established a mindful culture of health and safety standards during COVID-19. The women’s locker room is elegant and spacious includes a hot tub and plenty of large, clean showers. The staff is friendly, and helpful too.
If I lived in Anchorage, I would have a membership here.

Front desk staff named Kathryn from the women's club discriminated and embarrassed my mother to the point where she does not want to go back. She is also a new member. We shall see if anyone gets back to me on this matter.
Edit 04/15/2021
Glad they called my mom it shows that they care about their members. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone. Thank you Alaska Club for contacting my mother and making her feel welcomed.

I’ve been a member for only a few months and about half of that time the steam room and jacuzzi are not working. They even shut down the ENTIRE locker room for a few days for repair, within a day it was broken again. Then they closed off half the locker room so the workers could “fix” it, and yet again they are not functioning within days of the completing the “repairs”. We pay over $100 per month for this club for the amenities, so explain to me how it’s acceptable that we are never able to use those amenities. Where is that money going? Not toward a competent handy man, clearly. This is unacceptable, I’m not pleased and if this continues I’ll be canceling my membership. The whole reason I signed up in the first place was to use the women’s club! If the locker room is always somewhat unusable, kind of defeats the purpose...

This place was absolutely amazing with my massage! I feel like a new women. I get massages very often and was in town for a bit. I was sore from life and needed a deep massage. The lady who handles massages here is just gifted!!! I’d 100% go back any day!

I was a member for about a year when, after 11 months, I was placed on bed rest when I was 8 months pregnant. The pregnancy was my main concern, and I (obviously) didn’t/couldn’t use my membership. I didn’t get around to canceling until after the baby was born. Their policy states that they require 30 day advance notice to cancel; however, when I signed up, I was told they would work with unforeseen circumstances, e.g. if I had a doctor’s note indicating an inability to use the facilities. I spoke with someone in membership accounting and emailed that person my doctor’s note. I never heard back, so I called and was informed that the person I spoke to/emailed was no longer employed in membership accounting. Meanwhile, I was still being charged for membership (my 13th month even though I only signed a year contract). When I finally got in touch with a manager, they wouldn’t honor cancellation as of the date i was placed on bed rest, but 30 days from that. They settled on reimbursing me for the one month after the baby was born - the month beyond my 1 year contract.
Prior to that, I got a massage and was left in the room to change for at least 10 minutes. When the massage therapist re-entered the room, she smelled so strongly of marijuana. I provided the details of the situation in an email survey they sent. I received a call at a time I couldn’t discuss but said I would like follow up on the situation. I never received a call back and was unable to reach the person who initially called when I called them back. The survey was apparently a customer service facade because they really didn’t care to hear the customer’s voice or remedy the situation.

Classes are fantastic! The club itself is small, but there is something for everyone. From yoga to insanity, everyone can find a workout plan that works well for them here. All of the classes are challenging and the instructors are well versed at modifying workouts to suit individual needs. Exceptional variety in the class schedules. Love it!

This Women's Club is very good, especially if you prefer a female-only, small gym experience. Plus, I love that it has a hot tub, sauna, and steam room for relaxation and recovery. The staff are very personable and helpful, and the equipment is kept clean.
The only major negative thing is that you have to purchase a Gold Membership, which is quite pricey, and sign a one year contract to go here.

I was duped by their salesman/woman into purchasing a membership after I specifically asked them (I was quite specific) if that was what I was doing when they showed me a rectangular card with some print in it that it was a 7 day free trial pass and I needed to sign the back of it AND THEN they needed a copy of it. And what "magically" appeared on some "mysterious" contact paperwork?????? MY SIGNATURE!!! Shame on you Alaska Club;!! Shame on you!!
I'm still fighting with these people about this situation.
