I cannot say enough good things about Wayfinder Fitness and Nutrition. Several years ago I was part of another CrossFit gym but when my coach left, I drifted away. I tried other forms of movement but nothing ever felt the same. Earlier this year I threw my back out and ended up in physical therapy which happened to be right next door to Wayfinder. Once I was able to move again, I dropped into a class and immediately felt that familiar spark.

From day one, everyone was so kind and welcoming. The athletes here are supportive, encouraging and genuinely fun to be around. We laugh, we push through hard workouts together and it truly feels like community. The coaches are everything you’d hope for both in personality and in knowledge. They care about form and technique, they challenge you, they celebrate your wins and they meet you exactly where you are in your fitness journey (which also means knowing when you’re sandbagging and calling you out ~lovingly~ every time.)

I look forward to class every day and seeing the friends I’ve made here. Wayfinder has become my happy place and I am so grateful I found my way back to CrossFit through them. If you’ve been wanting to try CrossFit or are looking for a new gym family, this is the place.

What started as simply a more conveniently located gym has turned into a great decision! Cory and Emily have been fantastic. They are so welcoming, encouraging and helpful. In just a few classes I feel more confident in things I haven't tried or was unsure of while working out by myself.

Wayfinder is such a welcoming space for everyone, no matter your fitness level. Here, parents of young kids are accommodated and brought into the fold. Fellow classmates offer support and encouragement and become friends in short order. It’s a safe space for growth and challenge. I love it here.

Cory over at Wayfinder fitness & nutrition great guy makes you feel very comfortable and informed. Enjoyed chatting with him about the gym & my goals. Ofc cost is a bit more but also would be getting so much more for for the cost.

I’m not a member of the gym yet but that’s only due to my work schedule. However I’ve been able to drop in for a class every now and then as my schedule allows. Every class I’ve been to, the coaches have been attentive and supportive of my skill level. For those less skilled in CrossFit or those that move like a stiff piece of cardboard (me), they encourage modifications and adjustments. They create an environment where the most important thing is, you’re there to make yourself better. All of the members are welcoming, inviting, and regardless of your skill, extremely supportive. These guys really care for their members. They start out slow making sure you understand the fundamentals and then it’s all fun and games. I look forward to going when I get a chance and they always make it fun. If you’re looking for a way to get healthy through exercise I would highly encourage you to check these guys out.

Members were highly encourage to dress up yacht style.

I’ve visited and been members of many CrossFit gyms and the one thing that sets great ones apart is the community. The staff has done a wonderful job of cultivating a culture of acceptance no matter where you are physically, mentally or emotionally. In a cold place where connection doesn’t come easy, Wayfinder takes the cake.

CrossFit at Wayfinder is an amazing experience. Every class feels like a personal training session because the coaches are attentive and are able to offer many options for scaled workouts. Most sessions provide a mix of cardio, strength, and flexibility making it a great workout for us seniors. The community at Wayfinder really sets it apart though. You can attend any class and will feel welcomed and encouraged.

I found Wayfinder Fitness and Nutrition after searching for local gyms with group fitness classes and personal training. I wanted a gym community, not just a gym. I’ve never enjoyed anything more! They meet you where you are at in your fitness journey, showing how to scale movements so they are challenging yet still doable. Then, they help you progress from there.

When I first joined Wayfinders, my main goal was to lose weight.

But along the way, I’ve gained so much more — strength, confidence, amazing friendships, a supportive community, and most importantly, the chance to show my daughter what living a healthy lifestyle looks like.

Oh, and yes — my body is changing for the better too!

If you’re on the fence about joining, just do it. You won’t regret it.

I cannot recommend this gym enough! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the welcoming and supportive atmosphere. The staff and patrons are friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to offer guidance and encouragement. Wayfinder Fitness offers a variety of classes and personal training options in a family friendly atmosphere. The coaches are passionate and genuinely care about helping you achieve your goals. The community here is fantastic – it's inspiring to be surrounded by individuals who are all working towards their personal best and encouraging everyone else to do the same. You do not need to be in shape to start, you just need to have a desire to improve your strength and overall health! If you’re well into your fitness journey or just getting started, this is definitely the place to be!

An extra shoutout to Emily who pushes and encourages me and has helped me come a long way!

I have been attending the Senior (65+) class for just over a year. We meet 3x a week, and I have made incredible gains in strength, stamina, stability and flexibility. I have not been this fit since the 1980s. A year ago, I was struggling to get off the floor without using my hands and the furniture to stand. I could not do lunges, squats or many of the weight bearing exercised unassisted. Now, I can!!! I love the atmosphere at my gym. My fellow student are great fun to workout with during class. The instructors teach me proper form, have me work at my level and pace while encouraging me to improve, to work hard and to be my best self. I know I will enjoy my 70s, 80s and 90s more because I workout at Wayfinder Fitness and Nutrition. 😁

I’ve been going to Wayfinder since the fall and have been enjoying it a lot! Not only is the coaching staff very knowledgeable and instructs clearly, but also very approachable and welcoming. I have really liked the programming and mix of strength and cardio, and how the workouts can be scaled or more challenging. Wayfinder also leans heavily into building up their gym community, which is a major thing I look for in a CrossFit gym. If you’re looking for a gym that will meet you where you’re at and make you feel seen, come to Wayfinder.

The environment at Wayfinder is so welcoming and everyone is always so supportive no matter where you are in your journey. I’ve only been here a few months but I’m already getting stronger again and able to do a lot of things I haven’t been able to do for a long time without pain! The coaches are amazing and will help you figure out modifications if you need them without any judgment. The community here is amazing and you can tell that the people here truly care!

I am 62 years old and was need of some physical fitness. I have never been a member of a gym and was looking for a class type workout program.
I was a bit apprehensive looking into Wayfinder as the word CrossFit made me think of a bunch of very in shape people performing very demanding exercises.
I was wrong in one respect as I walked into Wayfinder to be greeted by Cory. There are a lot of very fit individuals performing very demanding exercises but not everyone. There are friendly people of many different shapes and sizes and ages and different fitness levels doing exactly what I was looking for. A great fitness program tailored to my capabilities.
Nobody judges you. If you can’t accomplish all the reps no one cares, just do the best you can and you will be rewarded with fist bumps and encouragement and eventually a much healthier body and mind. If you have any physical limitations due to an old injury Cory and the other coaches will provide alternative exercises. It’s like having a personal trainer.
The people and environment make it very comfortable to achieve the goals you seek.
Just stop by and talk to Cory or Emily and you will be pleasantly surprised, as I was, that Wayfinder is for anyone, regardless of your situation.
I kept procrastinating and making excuses to not get healthy and now I am doing it and at a place that easily fits my needs, surrounded by friendly, like minded individuals.

I've been a member of Wayfinder Fitness and Nutrition for over five months , and I can honestly say it’s been an amazing experience. The coaching here is exceptional—every trainer is knowledgeable, supportive, and truly invested in helping you achieve your fitness goals. They take the time to explain movements, provide personalized adjustments, and always encourage you to push past your limits, whether you're a beginner or more advanced.
What really sets this gym apart, though, is the incredible community. The members are all so positive and welcoming. It's not just a place to work out; it's a place where you feel motivated by others and where everyone is lifting each other up. There's a sense of camaraderie that makes every session feel rewarding, and the energy is contagious. I’ve seen huge improvements in my own fitness, and I can’t recommend being a Wayfinder member enough to anyone looking for a gym that combines great coaching with an uplifting community atmosphere.

Wayfinder Fitness & Nutrition is the best place to help you work towards your health and fitness goals! I am recently retired and am making my health a priority. Cory and Emily are very knowledgeable, helpful, and welcoming. The people who come here are also very nice! It is a good place to work on those goals beginning wherever you are at - like after 20 years at a desk job! (But really, don't wait as long as I did to get started!)

I've been with Wayfinder Fitness (previously Refuge) since 2020. Every moment with this amazing community has been wonderful. Not only are all of the coaches so supportive, the members are awesome! If you ever are looking to try CrossFit or if you've been doing it for years, Wayfinder is the place for you. They will welcome you with open arms.

It’s hard work. THAT’S why I love it… it may not be a popular opinion, but the coaches and class members really do push you to do *your* best. And *your* best may be way different than *someone else’s* best, but it’s still *progress*. 🙌🏼 There a real sense of community & accomplishment, especially for this mom in the trenches trying to find her space in the fitness world again… it’s been a long road. Thank you, Wayfinder. I/my family needed you more than we knew.

I heard about Refuge CrossFit from a friend and joining was the best decision ever, right from the beginning I was welcomed like I was part of the CrossFit family. I always thought CrossFit was just body building and competitions and yes it is that but there is so much more. It is helping me to build strength through out and accomplish more than I could of imagined. The instructors are very mindful of each individual and their limitations, they know when to push/encourage you further. Thank you

I hurt my low back really bad when I was 27 and struggled with it for many years. I had a number of periods throughout my life where I spent months sleeping on the floor, was not able to sit in chairs, had constant leg and back pain and numbness. I saw chiropractors literally thousands of times, learned to adjust my own back to a certain extent, tried lots of physical therapy and everything else I could find but was solid in my commitment to avoid surgery. I had to quit my favorite sport, Brazilian Jiu-Jutsu and stopped running for over 30 years. I kept myself in shape over the years by walking and hiking a lot, carrying heavy backpacks, and doing fairly light exercises but was always worried about re-injuring myself and avoided most weight lifting and all gyms. I forced myself to keep moving and continued to hunt and fish and live my outdoor dreams but was always in pain and worried about the next time my back would go down. I carried heavy packs, hunted goat/sheep and everything else in Alaska but as I got older it got harder and harder to do. I realized I had to make some changes and figure out how to keep myself in shape as what I had always done was not enough.

Then I started to go to Refuge CrossFit….

I have almost completely removed low back pain from my life, lifted lots of weights, including things like dead lifts and types of weight lifting that I was certain would make me much worse. I run a lot now, do pull ups, burpees, jump rope, and so much more. I have become much stronger and can still able to do the things I want to do but with much more confidence and ability than before.

I cannot recommend Refuge CrossFit enough. I know this review is long but I could keep going and write a lot more about this gym. I’ll leave it at this and say at 49 years old I feel good, I’m in shape, I can still carry heavy packs and go into the mountains and I’m very grateful for what Refuge CrossFit and their amazing community has done for my life.

Come check us out. You are never too old and even if you are fighting real pain and physical challenges, Refuge provides the coaching, environment, and atmosphere for you to gain better physical fitness and more control over your physical life!

Refuge is extremely welcoming and has a great community. I've been doing CrossFit on and off for almost a decade at various gyms in many states as I traveled for school and work. Refuge is a highlight, from the owners to the coaches to the members, everyone is great. Exercising alongside others and having a program provided each day/week/month is the most enjoyable and efficient way to get fit and see results each month. I also love that they offer nutrition coaching and personal training! The physical therapists who work/treat inside the gym are always available to help too, which makes it more accessible for beginners!
There are folks from all different professional and lifestyle backgrounds, and every type of fitness level from total beginner to very experienced. There's no way you won't make a couple friends at Refuge. There's also no way you won't get more fit, and I promise you'll have fun!

I started my CrossFit journey at Refuge 2.5 years ago. In that time, I’ve found the coaches to be attentive and invested in helping their athletes to reach their goals and potential. They are careful to help push you when you need the extra challenge and boost of confidence. They are also helpful to provide modifications and scaled options to ensure safety and to make the most out of your time and effort spent here, no matter what skill level you are at.

This box has helped me immensely improve my overall fitness, endurance and stamina. Most of all, it has helped me to believe in myself and my capabilities as well as strengthen my mental toughness!

Their community as a whole is family friendly, warm, supportive and are each other’s biggest cheerleaders! We are friends in and out of the gym and we love seeing each other reach our individual goals. This place is truly special and joining this CrossFit box has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my health and well being!

Refuge Crossfit is where friends gather to do hard things. The coaches are knowledgeable not only about CrossFit techniques, but about individual athlete’s abilities. They take the time to get to know their members and what their needs are. The gym can accommodate 16 people per class, and there is childcare offered for several classes. Kids CrossFit and teens CrossFit, along with a seniors class are all options as well. If you’re looking for a place to help with fitness and diet related goals, Refuge CrossFit is the place to try out! First class is free!! Please, come join us!

I have had David as a CrossFit coach for a few years now, and I've never had a better CF coach.
This is an awesome facility with a comfortable environment, an exceptional setup for a CrossFit box, and David and Emily are amazing people who take the time to treat their clients as though they are most important thing going on in their lives. One feels like family talking to them.
I would recommend Refuge CrossFit to anyone who is looking for a new box or who is just starting CrossFit and still a little nervous about getting into it. God truly works through David and Emily to make Refuge CrossFit a welcoming and accepting environment!
