480 Fitness has been my home for the better part of 3 years now. What an incredible establishment. They have a full section/massive gym floor with every piece of equipment you could ask for and brings me back to my youth when my father owned gyms back east. They also have their main training section, which is an entirely different, massive space for personal training athletes all the way to fixing injuries with another full floor of machines and a huge section of turf to train on. The entirety of the gym is geared towards kids just getting into working out, to athletes training for competitions or their upcoming season, to people that want to live a healthier lifestyle, all the way to old dogs like myself that don’t want to lose my strength, but want to make sure I’m around for a long time for my family. Their owner Tyler, staff and trainers are some of the nicest people you will meet here in the valley and are extremely knowledgeable. They have a class/aerobic studio, enormous men’s and women’s locker rooms with steam rooms! Last but not least, they also have certified sports massage therapists on site that are just incredible at what they do! It’s not about cost with me, but their membership and training fees are extremely manageable for anyone! If you’re looking for a all encompassing fitness facility and never have to wait for equipment due to their layout and amazing trainers/staff, then 480 Fitness should be your spot to clang and bang the weights around and/or just stay healthy!

I've been training at 480 Fitness, and it's the best gym I've ever been to. The equipment is top-notch, the facility is always clean, and there's a great balance of space and atmosphere.

My trainer, Tyler, is knowledgeable, motivating, and genuinely cares about helping me reach my goals. He pushes me in all the right ways but always keeps the workouts fun and challenging. I've made more progress with him than I ever have on my own.

The 24-hour access is a huge bonus for someone like me with a busy schedule. I can't recommend 480 Fitness enough.

I highly recommend 480 Fitness; Tyler and his team in Chandler are about the difference between “Going to a trainer” and “Training.” They don’t look up the latest trends on social media or copy generic workout plans; instead, they customize each training session and overall program to your individual goals while continuously adjusting it as your body responds and changes over time. This is the best gym in the East Valley, AND it’s locally owned. We've been going to this Gym for 5 years. The staff are nice, the gym is clean, they have everything I need for my circuit workouts (dumbells, machines, and cardio equipment). I don't use the amenities like the steam room, dry sauna, tanning, indoor pool, and group workout classes, they are available. It's small and I like that.

Added: They doubled their prices, so we left for Vasa. Great place!

First of all I want to address the poor reviews from 3-4 years ago, they are outdated and don’t reflect current conditions and ownership. My wife and I have been members here going back to 2017. The gym has changed ownership a couple of times and has definitely been ran poorly in the past. Fast forward to today the owners and trainers of 480 have transformed this spot into a high quality gym for those serious about personal fitness. All of the staff here are so great to work with especially the personal trainers they are all class acts and deserve the highest praise. I highly recommend 480 fitness it’s a place full of support and friendly faces. I have trained with Kyle for the past 15 months and am so grateful for all he has helped me accomplish over that time. I really love the management and training team here (so much so I've worked with their personal trainers for like 8 years). Everyone is super supportive and welcoming, and it feels like everyone ends up knowing each other by name, which makes this place super approachable unlike many other gyms. The upgrades to the facilities and training equipment that have happened over the past year are making this place even better too.

There are also a couple other small business that operate out of the gym which is a nice touch to have a body work therapist, physical therapist and swim school in the same space!

I highly recommend this gym to everyone! They have all the equipment (cardio, free weights, sleds, TRX, turf, multiple squat racks) that EOS or Esporta has, without the congestion at peak hours. Exceptionally clean and all the staff are professionals. I’ve been working as a personal training client with Kyle for years and cannot recommend him enough. He understands my limitations and works with me. I’ve never experienced any injuries while training with him and have gotten in the best shape of my life! The training team is genuinely one of a kind. After training here with Tyler Holmes for over five years, I knew no matter what would arise, if my schedule changed and I had to reschedule, 480 always had my back-- whether this means training at a different time that day, or shifting between remote and in person sessions, there were always options. I have never felt like I will miss my goals or fail my workouts. This is rare and a major benefit to 480 Fitness, because most other gyms will charge for no shows or will add additional charges. I’ve been a member of this gym since their first location on Chandler Blvd. What keeps me going is the extremely CLEAN and well kept facility, the amazing classes (Joey will get your butt in shape!) and the wonderful, friendly service! I would give my money to this small, family-owned, business any day, over the corporate gyms. The 24-hour access means I can escape my husband and kids at any hour of the day for a great de-stressing cardio pump, or get in before work when it’s not so busy. I just moved to the Chandler area and I’m seeking a new gym to call home. I called and was poorly greeted by an associate named Joey. He gave me no information about rates, any type of incentive for joining here as opposed to other gyms in the area. To put it simple, communication and customer service skills need work. I did not feel welcomed when on phone, even after discussing coming down for a trial. I felt like it was a bother to give me this information. I’m still going to look at the gym in hopes his service isn’t a reflection on the whole gym itself.

I joined this gym in December 2020, eight months into and at the height of the pandemic. My concerns for a safe and clean environment were easily satisfied, and they offered group classes conducted by friendly professional trainers.
All the trainers at Sta Fit are a notch above what you find at other gyms. They are college graduates in Fitness and wellness, and most participated in college level athletics. I particularly enjoy the Strength and Conditioning group classes.
The focus of the classes change monthly and each workout is unique throughout the month. The challenge is always fresh and unexpected. Class participants wear masks, are distanced more than 6' apart, and all equipment is sanitized before and after each session....personally this is very important.
If you're looking to get back to the gym like I was after 8 months, to change gyms (my last gym closed thanks to Covid), and a challenge. I fully recommend you give them a look.
The gym has easy access, and an abundance of parking. I started with a 5-Day free trial but knew after the first day this was the gym for me.

Do NOT do business with Elev8. I had to move out of town during shut down and have been trying for 2 weeks to contact someone to cancel my membership. The phone listed online has been disconnected. I tried the number on their IG account at it was a voicemail to someone else. I DMed 3 times over IG and the first time got a response but as soon as I said I wanted to cancel my membership I haven't heard back. I finally found a working phone number because my credit card was charged for a membership I have been trying to cancel and it went directly to voicemail and asked to leave a message but the mailbox was full. Not a great way to do business!

All of the people complaining about this place because of the change in staff need to give it a chance. I was also skeptical the first day they re-opened and I didn't recognize anyone. I gave it a chance, and it's just as good as ever IMO. The new staff has been awesome since I've been going back. The gym is only getting cleaner and updated. Who cares about the "behind the scenes" drama? Are you going there to get a workout or get involved in someone else's drama?

Anyone looking for a gym should definitely give Elite a shot, the equipment is awesome and the staff is friendly.

Prior to COVID, I would give this gym 100 stars. Chris, Heather and the rest of the staff made the gym a friendly, clean and motivating place to work out. Since re-opening, Darren, the sleaze ball partner of the gym that barely set foot in the place decided to push Chris out of the partnership and fire all of the staff (trainers, front desk). The new staff are giving out information that is completely inappropriate and false to existing members and people that are coming in to sign up. They put out a statement on Instagram that they got new management; they did not get new management, they pushed out a PARTNER in the business and fired the entire staff for no reason other than they worked for Chris. They pushed out a partner that has by his hand and all of the great people around him built this gym into a great place to build relationships, work out and get healthy. Shame on Darren and this "new" guy for what you are doing to our gym and our community. If you are considering a gym, please pass on this one unless Darren pulls his head out and does the right thing and restore the gym to is former staff and Chris at the helm. If you join, do not be surprised if the doors close for good in the not too distant future. The current regime has absolutely NO skin the game and will not provide the atmosphere that Chris, Heather and team provided.

Five Stars for what was....

We loved our gym Elite Fitness. Located right in our neighborhood, super clean and lots of friendly people. It is very sad that the accountant business partner has now pushed out the talent partner, Chris Runyon because he was unwilling to accept an unsavory character being brought in to "grow" the business.

I have been working out at places like this for nearly 40 years and I am very particular at this point in life. I have been an Elite Fitness member since 2016, so it is safe to say that I have been a satisfied customer most of the time. I am very sad to say that we (myself and my family) will be cancelling our membership at Elite Fitness due to the ousting of Chris Runyon and his team. There will be no Elite Fitness without them, just an empty building, a teary eyed accountant and his unscrupulous, no talent, new business partner.

Honestly this is a hidden gem of a gym in chandler- needing a little more glorification. They offer affordable memberships and personal training programs-the membership I have includes the hydromassage chairs and group training classes which go hand and hand. I've never had a wait for the rowing machine, trx or the weights and I've been coming here for almost a year.

I like that it's a smaller, independent gym but that the free-weight options are there. Elite has the equipment that almost anyone would need or want (short of a swimming pool). I also like that the people that work there are friendly and supportive. The members are dedicated but range in their levels of abilities so there isn't a constant feeling of competition, but the motivation is there.

Me and my fiancé really love this gym. Staff are always friendly, equipment is always clean. It’s almost never overcrowded which is a huge plus for me. I will say it is a bit pricier compared to other gyms that are bigger and offer more but it makes up for this in more ways than one. The only complaint I have is that there are no full body mirrors in the gym, making it pretty hard to know if my form needs correcting when it comes to the lower body.

The group fitness classes are challenging and fun. In the personal training was very helpful and very specific to meet my needs. The gym is well-equipped clean and staff is great.

Walking into EF it's clear the gym focuses on the practical needs of the client. Easy to access lockers, water, childcare, and occasional puppies. The gym and facilities are always clean and in excellent condition. I've been working with Kyle for the past several months now and he has made working out exactly the kind of challenge it should be. I'm pushed to my limits but not past and it keeps me motivated. I see the other trainers also working with their clients using this philosophy and it creates a very welcoming atmosphere. We feel good about working hard and that has paid dividends for our strength and general well being.

I enjoy coming in to do my workouts every day and being greeted by the entire Training Team. They really know how to make you feel like you are a part of their family. I love being able to bring every one of my family members in and the Training Team knows every one of us by name. I have never experienced that at any of the other gyms that I was a member for. This is why Elite will always have mine and my family's business on their side.

Hands down the best gym I've stepped foot in. Everyone there is ready to workout. You don't see people sitting on the machine and texting like other gyms. I love that about the people that workout here. As far as the staff they are all friendly and greet me in and out of the gym with smiles and pep. It's also beautiful that they are 24/7 because sometimes I work late. Card pass when closed to open the door is brilliant. Late at night sometimes I feel it's my own personal gym. It's amazing. The classes seem cool and friendly, but I have yet to take one. They have a cycle room as well as a "quiet room" for all my heavy lifters out there. Meaning that its soundproof inside it. Super sweet! I will continue to train here until I move far away or out of state. Been here over a year now and I absolutely love everything about it. Thanks ELITE FITNESS for accommodating everyone's needs. Oh I cant forget to mention the steam room. Oh bless the steam room 🌞😀.

I’m not going to pretend it’s not a bare bones gym, because it is. And that’s its appeal to me. If you go to a gym to actually work out, rather than socialize, show off, or gymtimidate, this may be the place for you. I use it for weights and swimming, occasionally the elliptical or the treadmill.

Nope, locker rooms are not luxurious. Nope, not 24/7 (but the hours are still pretty good). Nope, not a lot of fancy equipment or a fancy pool. If you want that, look elsewhere. It’s been good enough for me since 2011 (I joined back when it was Fitness Forum and family owned, with a 1-year hiatus when I was on the East Coast).

Dues are $10/month and a (I think) $40 annual maintenance fee. Never had any problems with staff or other users.

There is so much to like about Elite! First and foremost; Elite has made me feel very welcome. There was no “intimidating gym” factor, the staff is amazing, very welcoming and the facility is top notch. The personal training sessions with Tyler Holmes are the best. Tyler took what I had to offer physically and designed a program to work within my abilities. A year later the program continues to evolve with my progress, it’s been fantastic! I’ve NEVER enjoyed “lifting weights”, but now with the proper coaching & motivation I look forward to my sessions each time I walk through the door. Elite is big enough to give you just about everything you want in a gym/fitness center, yet small enough that you feel like you’re part of the family and not just a number.

I love my classes and trainers. Trainers are great! I also love all the spin class instructors and yoga instructors. No one is overly pushy and they try to meet your needs/goals. Although it is not as big as other gyms, it is clean, staff is friendly and I love that it has a steam room.

I really enjoy this gym and their staff! Flex Fit Camp is by far one of the best group training programs in Chandler. Andrew and Trevor really know their stuff! They focus on proper form and results instead of getting you to lift heavy and knock out reps. I love that I can use my heart rate monitor to keep track of my cardio fitness and calories burned. If you haven’t tried Sta Fit and Flex Fit Camp, what are you waiting for?!

How I have been coming here close to two years and haven’t written a review is my fault. The old space was a bit smaller, never felt crowded, and I was worried the new space would change that. It couldn’t be further from my worries. The new space has more room, more racks, more machines, and still never feels crowded. The staff is the most friendly gym staff I have ever encountered. Sure it will cost a bit more than a “commercial gym” but the fact I can workout right after work and not wait for equipment is worth it to me.

With the exception of the manager Dominque, the staff and facilities were great. Andrew, Sarah, and trainer Queli did a great job. I have been going there for a couple of years. They don't open until 5AM and I now need earlier hours. Once I notified them I was leaving, Dominque changed what was previously told to me by other employees. Even though the other employees provided me information, I should have known what I had to do. Because of this, I had to pay additional fees. I asked Dominque for the owner's contact information and he refused to provide it to me. Even though everything else was good at Sta Fit, I am glad I am done with them, because of Dominque.

Elite Fitness... I get it. The can't have a extremely long name on the front of a building. Truth be told they should be called ELITE EVERYTHING. Elite Staff.. Elite equipment.. Elite atmosphere.. Elite customer service. You walk inside and you're always greeted by staff. You're on the elliptical or hitting the weights the staff acknowledges you with a wave, head knod, or just a traditional hello. Elite Fitness gives you that mom and pop gym feel with the look of a big company. Staff there is exceptional and always willing to help you reach your fitness goals. I just recently moved to this gym from another and I am so thankful I made the switch.

Don't just take my word for it though. Allow Elite Fitness to show you better than I can tell you. From cupping and stretch therapy to crossfit training and functional fitness.. Elite Fitness is where it is at.

Elite Fitness has all the equipment you could want and plenty of space but none of that corporate feel! People greet you by name when you come in and it has a family feel! The amount of classes and the personal training options are also excellent! I personally do not have children but I love that they have training programs for young athletes or for kids who want to learn about fitness while their parents have a session.. what a brilliant idea to get kids into the gym environment at a young age!

I have been grossly overcharged with fees and being double charged after I cancelled! The bathrooms are disgusting, and the managers apparently have no power to do anything. I have contacted the owner and he didn't respond. This is beyond unacceptable, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone when there are gorgeous brand new gyms just a block away.

This GYM is not doing business honestly but trying to play trick to make you enroll with them. They do text message and phone call to tell you 0 enrollment special but when you arrive, they will say it is not work with basic program which was not mentioned at all.

The trainers and staff are (at best) ambivalent to the needs of the customers and (at worst) blatantly disrespectful and insulting. They often play music at unsafe volumes that feature obscene, racist, and misogynistic lyrics. When asked to turn the volume down or change the content they will flatly refuse or ignore the client. The facility does not seem to be cleaned regularly and is just plain disgusting. The free weights are in terrible shape: bars are rusty and falling apart, machines are outdated and in need of repair and replacement. Fun fact: The health department shut down the pool because it was so filthy and disgusting. I am only giving this gym one star is because zero stars is not an option. If you want to give your money to people who treat you like the dirt that is pervasive throughout this gym, then go here.

I love everything about Elite. The facility staff is welcoming and feels like family. The facilities are always clean and well kept. I love that it's still a local gym and you can see it with the staff bringing in their cute pups to work (probably my favorite part). I like that there are plenty of workout classes included in membership. There are always smiling faces at the front desk to welcome you in. I also like the fact that it's not always so busy like the other big box gyms. The extra cost in membership is definitely worth the extra money to not have this place so packed that you can't even get on the machines. Offering the Tribe classes is great too, it's definitely made me accountable to show up on a regular basis. Chris, Heather, and the rest of the staff here run a top notch facility!

This is the best gym I've had a membership at. It's better than LA and Lifetime! Sure, there's no water slide, but I like to focus on my workout and know that my kids are safe and nearby. The trainers at Elite are non judgmental and adjust everything to suit individual needs. They push your limits, but never make you uncomfortable. There's a doctor and nutritionists on staff and they only want to help me reach my goals. Plus, we have gym dogs...I mean, it doesn't get better than that! The staff is friendly and always welcoming. The equipment is for everyone to use, not just for people who pay extra for a trainer. Oh...and a steam room in the very nicely decorated locker rooms! Elite has the best of everything!

I like that it offers so much variety but still has a small town personal feel to it. All the associates are extremely personable and greet everyone coming in or going out of the gym. Each and every one of them go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. I have never worked with a personal trainer before and Erica has been amazing. I left a less expensive gym to join Elite and it was a wonderful decision.

5 STARS for BAD review?? yes because I know the owners are awesome! I have been going there for yrs, yes things break down but they repair it right away, that happens everywhere you go .Anyways, to my complaint, I went this passed Sunday 4/14/20019 around 4:30pm to renew my membership and add two more my family member, but I came back very disappointed. The white male ( no name tag nor introduced himself ) so, I can't name, he was very unprofessional and very low energy, didn't want to help us, even the girl was nasty and rude. She made us feel like we went to take advantage of them. I know the place but I want to show my teens since they never been there. I asked to use the one day free pass they offer, but the low energy guy said, " people use us for free for 5 and 6 days and never come back etc.." well, that was not smart business accusing the rest of customers for another customer fault. No worries, we take our business elsewhere, but I hope they both be replaced to keep that place going!

They finally renovated the changing rooms. It looks better and cleaner now. The gym is hardly ever crowded which is nice. The only thing that irks me is that the daycare time has changed since they first opened. The daycare staff is wonderful and experienced, but the time they can work is very limited. It's only about 8 hours Mon-Thurs, 4 hours on Friday, and closed on the weekends. I used to go there all the time with my kids, but now I have to work around this oddball schedule.

Cancelled my gym membership today!
They cancelled all the good classes without any notice no last class to say goodbye or anything.
The pound classes was the main reason I was going.
I'm not interested in going to a gym that doesn't respect it's members enough to send out a notice that the classes are cancelled.

I'm done with you sta fit!
Time to find a better gym!

Hands down the best gym I've ever been to. Friendly staff, always kept clean and organized, huge variety of equipment to use, and a ton of free classes to attend with an easy schedule to follow for them. I've been referring everyone I know with a gym membership to this place. On top of it, the culture inside the gym is really pleasant. Everyone I've met while working out is very friendly and willing to spot for you and share equipment if necessary.

Also-and this sounds kinda silly I know-but that water dispenser they installed by the locker rooms pours out the best tasting water I've ever had in my life. A nice thing to have while getting workouts in.

Great gym, awesome staff. Has some of the best free weights I've ever seen, complete with bumper plates and plenty of power racks that results in minimal to no wait times to use the equipment. The ability to use the gym at unstaffed times is a huge plus as well. Overall would recommend!

I'm a member and I love this gym. Its clean and the lovely, friendly staff are just a sight to see (female staff). I'm able to get in and get my workout done without delay. Weights and machines are always available for use, even on busy days. I would recommend this gym to everyone.

If you are looking for a no-frills gym this is the place for you. Very outdated facility. Amenities often don’t work; steam room etc.….. The place often opens late on weekends. The average age for the patrons is up there, which isn’t a bad thing however the music played throughout the guy is determined by the contract trainers and is often very unappropriated for the gym members. So if you are OK with poor customer service and are OK with surprise non-openings this I the place for you!
