Been a member here for probably a decade. Ownership comes and goes but since it serves a lot of students, the crowd stays pretty much the same. Lately they've packed the studio w/lots of strength equipment making it no longer a studio and so there's often no place to do your own thing or stretch after a workout. Wish that would change.

I was in town on vacation and ready for a good workout. But when I went to change, the bathrooms were closed “until further notice”.
Any repairs or renovations should have a set completion date and be explained to members. This sloppy sign was vague - not helpful or informative.
So much for my strength training in Flagstaff…
I left town the next morning.

First off, a trainer greeted me the first time I entered. That was good. The rest was not so great.

Visited over 10 day period… does not rank high on cleanliness. AC seems to be in disrepair and sporadically functioning - had a bucket under it because it drips.

I called them last Thursday (before 5pm) because my AirPod case went missing the morning I was there. No one answered the phone or responded to my voice message. Five days later and they still haven’t gotten back to me.

I’ve visited AF’s all over the US and a few years back I worked as a trainer at two AFs in NH. Perhaps it was just an “off” month for them but my experience led me to believe that this location doesn’t have high standards.

Update to say a year later this gym is even worse. They charge an absurd number of fees, the building is completely unsafe at night with random doors propped open so that anyone can enter and just like all the other comments state- the bathrooms are disgusting.. If you are looking for an affordable, clean, safe gym- this is not it!

I would not recommend this gym. It is impossible to contact anyone who works at the club. I have been trying to get an issue with my account resolved for over two weeks with no response from anyone. I have called, I have left messages and I have emailed. No one cares to respond.

Nice small gym with everything I need. Next equipment I need to use is two steps away. Jimmy makes sure all equipment is fixed, but can be better at fixing the cables in a shorter time frame. Tanner is cool too, he's fun to talk to and always cleans up the place, replacing anything that needs to be replaced. The only thing I have to fuss about is the mats in the bathroom need to be replaced or cleaned, so much gunk in them. Also it would be nice to have another Smith machine.

This gym is by far the worst gym I’ve ever been to. I’m unfortunately stuck with a contract here or else I would go literally anywhere else. Save your money and don’t get a membership here. The bathrooms are always disgusting with wet floors, hair in the sink, no soap, and pee stains on the seats. The benches are awful and always moved around. The water filter has been on red for so long and seems like there’s no AC? It’s almost 8 pm and it’s 81 degrees inside!! I can’t believe I pay so much and can’t even have the most basic things here. The employees never show up for work. When i went to pick up my fob key noone was yhere. When i went to drop it off/ cancel my membership noone was there. Noone is there to answer the phones, noone is there to check and or return calls from voicemail left on the machine. The only time i see an employee there is the guy that cleans at night. Im having to call corporate and have them put me intouch with the owner to cancel my membership. The gym is tiny, but has everything you need which is the only reason i havent given it a one. Dont join if you expect some kind of emergency or dont think ur going to need to cancel ur membership for some years, cause you're going to have to jump through hoops to get ahold of an employee, because they never show up for work.

I normally love AF but this location currently has two problems that should be corrected. A couple of the showers don't have hot water (-2) and the recumbent bikes are broken (-1). One bike is in the back hall with an out of order sign. The other bike is on the floor and can be pedaled but none of the electronic indicators work and this bike feels like a bearing is out in the left pedal. If management fixes these issues I will be glad to raise my rating to 5 stars. Thanks.

If I could give it less than a star I would the, the gym had a warm wet stink that hit me when walked in. The bathrooms were TERRIBLE, I travel often and use my anytime membership while in on my trips and I have never seen an Anytime with this bad of a shower room. Management at this gym is awful. I canceled my membership within the time frame to get a full refund. This was in January and I was told I’d get a check in the mail. When you're the only game in town you run the risk of letting standards slip. That is not the case here. The gym is clean, the showers are large, the equipment is varied (including the squat cages with an Olympic lift set up) and overall the people who go here have a cheery comraderie that is nice. I met a girl named Alex and we talked different workouts and if she ever sees this, DO MORE ARNOLD PRESSES ALEX. Overall very happy with my experience and will be sure to stop by whenever I'm passing through.

New dumb bell set yoga mats and jump ropes

Also the guy who cleans at night is always making sure everything is stocked up
if he is not cleaning something or shampooing the carpet he is fixing something around the gym i saw him last week fixing the water fountain the filter light was not working for a long time.

He is not much of a talker but is very nice and will answer you if you have any questions.

A nice Anytime Fitness. I have been to over 100 locations. I appreciate the Olympic lifting platform and how much floor space the gym has. I appreciate the options to do dips also. They could have soap in the shower room because the floor will get wet as those of us who forgot to bring it will undoubtedly go to the sink dispenser mid-shower to get suds. But they do have a generous water heater that dispense HOT water. Flagstaff you’ve got a solid anytime fitness!

This gym doesn't require people to wear masks while in the gym. There's a hand written note on the door that says wear a mask while entering and exiting but nobody wears a mask at anytime. Plus there isnt any staff to enforce this. This goes against the AZ regulations and when they find out I'm sure this gym will be closed again. Find another gym soon.

Honestly do not waste your time or money here. I have been billed twice during this pandemic for months that the gym was closed for and their facilities were inaccessible. I just went into the store during their specified business time, and there was not one staff member to help me quit my number ship, since this has to be done in person and cannot he done over the phone or e-mail. Not that that would be much of a help, i have called numerous times now, and each time i get the voicemail from I’m assuming the owner, but after his speech is given, there is no voice tone or “beep” to leave any kind of

I emailed Anytime Fitness to cancel my membership. During this process, I had to follow-up a couple of times to recieve confirmation that my membership was canceled. Very recently, I noticed that I was charged for a membership fee, even though I recieved by email that my membership was canceled. I called the main company that collects the membership fees, and was informed that they were not notified my membership was canceled, and I would have to work with the local Anytime Fitness gym to make sure my account is closed, and to refund my money. I never thought this would be such an ongoing process that it's becoming frustrating.

The customer service at this Anytime Fitness is horrible! I understand they are closed due to the pandemic, but you can't even leave a voicemail. I emailed about a billing issue complaint. They took a week to get back to me. Said they would look into it and get back to me. Haven't heard anything in 3 weeks. Twice now they have billed me during the pandemic when I have only had access to the club for 2-5 of my billing cycle. I would be okay if they charged me a prorated amount of the monthly dues, but I can't even talk to anyone about it. When our contract says we get access to the club 24/7, 365, they should not be charging for the entire month when you only get access to the club for 2 days. Maybe I'm wrong and they can. But once again their customer service is absolutely HORRIBLE!

My boyfriend and I stopped in today to get information about what the gym offers and monthly fees. Once we walked in, the manager yelled out “I’ll be there in a minute!”. He was on the phone so we waited patiently in the designated waiting area. After standing there for 15 minutes I looked back in the office and the manager was off the phone, just sitting there chit-chatting with another employee, laughing and joking around. We waited another 5 minutes with that going on. Finally, we got fed up waiting a total of 20 minutes and asked if we should just come back another time. The manager said, “Yeah, maybe come back tomorrow?”.

There is no reason for it to take that long, and if the manager was that busy, then he should have sent his employee out to help us. Horrible customer service. Really judgy atmosphere. Would not recommend.

Gym is never clean, and way too overcrowded with equipment! Smallest Anytime Fitness I've ever seen. The mirrors are always dirty; some baseboards are missing; floor thresholds are coming off. It's unsafe with so little space in between squat racks. I only go during off hours so I don't have to wait for someone next to me to finish their exercise before I can add or remove weights. There are too many treadmills for such a little gym. I've been waiting for things to improve the last couple months with the new manager, but I don't see any good changes.

Probably the worst gym I have had to use. My first complaint I have is i got charged $50 for bringing people into the gym. Yes I am at fault for not seeing the sign posted on the front door, but I honestly never saw it until I was notified about it. 2. My gym membership was also suspended without notice and I showed up to the gym on multiple occasions not allowed in the gym. Not until I contacted them did I find out what was wrong with the gym key card. 3. The owner of the gym made me give a 5 star reviews on the google and yelp page in order to get my membership back and I still got charged $50. I also got the people who I took to the gym to sign up for the gym anyway and they still wouldn't give me my $50 back and they also never gave me the money for the referral fee. This gym is absolutely over priced for its amenities. The recently took out the tanning booth and the gym is not worth it over the other gym in Flagstaff now. This gym has NO SAUNA, NO POOL, NO STEAM ROOM, NO TANNING ROOM, AND NO HYDRO MASSAGE. this is what you would get at most other gyms for less than $40 a month. If you are looking for a gym go to the flagstaff athletic club NOT ANYTIME FITNESS. I also Travel and the gyms in San Diego are so small and not in a convenient location. So with this being said I cancelled my membership and go to a new gym now and couldn't be happier that I never have to use these gyms again.

Love the management! Equipment is up to date and very clean!! However it is very small and crowded! Most people go for chit chat which can make newbies uncomfortable. I reccomend going as early or late in the day as possible 5-7 is NOT the time to go.

Anytime fitness serves as a great escape from the crowds of NAU's health and learning center. the machines are usually open, (unless you go right after the working day) the facility is clean, and they even have a tanning booth if you want to get some dark. It's awesome to be able to go any time of the day and workout, a big step up from other gyms that close at certain times.

Gym is always crowded and far too small. Also I cancelled my membership back in October (turned the key in and everything) and found out today that I have been charged $45 for a membership I no longer use and a facility I don’t even have access to. I called during their open hours but I’m not holding my breath for a call back, as nobody seems to be able to get ahold of them. I’ll be back in town next week and I’ll be sure to make it clear how disappointing my experience has been. :)

Talked to Laurie on the phone a few times and she was very helpful. Had to cancel awhile back due to moving but happy to come back to this gym. Amy (hope it's spelled correctly!) helped me with the sign up. Easiest gym decision. You guys rock.

This is the second gym in flagstaff that I have had a membership at, and thus far I have enjoyed my time at this gym. I really value having space to do my own thing and not feel over crowded. If you come during busy hours you do get a lot of younger people and those are the hours I tend to avoid but during the slower hours you get a more diverse crowd which for me is so much better. I live out of town and having showers available is definitely a bonus as well as being able to do yoga at the same place. Over all it's a decent place and I would recommend trying it out.

The gym itself has a great vibe! Since I joined I have never seen it dirty and it has all the equipment I need. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. It's got a great little yoga room, a tanning bed, and free classes for members! Easily worth the 39 bucks a month.

Visiting from Minneapolis. The gym is medium in size for an Anytime. Shower/bath room facilities are generous in size but could use more hooks and maybe a shelf. One of the faucet was broken. Hot water didn't work in one of the showers. Studio floor needed sweeping bad. Overall I was happy to have an Anytime in town and despite a few issues, the gym was overall nice.

Worst gym I’ve ever been too. Laurie S the manager is the rudest manager I’ve ever dealt with in my entire life , when she couldn’t find my brothers membership she opened every anytime fitness members account and information for me to look through and find. Equipment is very old and broken. The air conditioning is broken and leaks over every machine. The weights are always missing from racks and machines. Don’t waste your time on this dump.

I would like to update this to 4 star after my experience with Laurie. As soon as she got my concern it was dealt with in professionalism I know wasn’t there before and speed so thank you. I have tried calling again and someone did answer so I can say with confidence things are different and always liked the facility. I have been calling and trying to get ahold of someone there for a month now. I have left messages I only call between 10am-3pm multiple times and have not reached anyone or received a phone call back. Don’t waste your time with bad customer service!!!!

Visiting from Wisconsin and stopped in for a quick workout. This is the least desirable Anytime Fitness I've ever been to. Most equipment is outdated, heavily worn out, or too close together so you're always in someone's way with free weights. It was very muggy in the gym and smelled like BO. It is a gym so it is somewhat expected, but I felt like it was excessive.

I could tell they were remodeling a room, but I feel like the entire place needs it. I feel bad for the people up here because the next closest Anytime Fitness is over an hour and a half away. I'll be happy when I get back to my regular gym.

I'm currently a member and I'm glad they have all the equipment I want to use But there are numerous problems with this gym. First it doesn't seem to have air conditioning or a window that opens. So it is always hot, humid, and smells of 3 years worth of sweat. Also equipment will be broken for months and the staff does nothing about.Currently the multipurpose room is under construction. 70% of my workout consists of free weights and I now no longer have a place to do my workouts. Finally, I took advantage of my free training session. As nice as the trainer was it seemed he cared more about making the sale, rather than on the exercises I was asking him about. I also told him multiple times a $400 training package was not something I could afford, but he kept trying to get me to buy a training package. Overall this place is fairly mediocre. It has everything you want, but nothing you actually need.

For being a professional business, the professionalism is severely lacking. I recently moved and wanted to cancel my membership but it turned out to be the worst nightmare I ever imagined. I have been calling them and e-mailing them for about three months now to cancel and I never had a call returned back to me until today over three months later where something was finally done. I couldn't go in and do it in person because I moved too soon so I had no choice but to do it over the phone and e-mail.

I've called them numerous times during business hours but the phone just rings until it goes to voicemail. What do they do the entire day not answer their phones or e-mails? When I finally got someone on the phone, she was rude and in such a hurry to get off the phone. For three months of trying to get into contact with them I wasted so much money. I will never visit this gym or any other Anytime Fitness gym again.

Was trying to make an appointment today to possibly join again. Just wanted to memberships so i have on each side of town. Wish Snap fitness had another location but it is the best place. Then i tryed to call and the phone is temporarily disconnected. How shady. Then I was reading reviews, wow some really bad ones. I think I will stick with snap fitness. Wasnt going to leave just wanted somthing on the other side of town. Customer service is outstanding. Place is always clean and doesn't smell like a gym at all like the reviews say how sticky and dirty it is . The owner knows people by name. Walks around says hi to members sees if they need anything. Defiantly approachable. Way different than anytime fitness reviews. Go to Snap fitness you won't regret it.

Honestly just a good solid gym. Yea, its busy during peak hours, but so is literally everywhere else. Employees are knowledgeable and enjoy helping out. I recently had to abruptly leave the area so I had to cancel my membership and even that process was full of understanding and help. Ill miss this gym for sure.

Reading some of the other reviews, I'm a bit shocked. I'm going on my second year working out at this location and have had nothing but a great experience. There's been a few changes in employees, but they are just as friendly and helpful as the others were. Equipment is awesome and only on a few occasions has it been so busy I had to wait to use equipment. For the price per month (around 35 doll hairs) I think this place is great! Of the other gyms in Flagstaff I would recommend this one for sure!

I was offered a membership at Anytime Fitness for $32 per month, this seemed like a good deal so I joined. I ended up paying $82 for the first month because they charge $50 extra for the door key.
The 2nd month, the manager lost my credit card info and had to call me, I was charged $52 instead of $32, so I complained and had this reversed.

The 3rd month I was charged $52 again, and this time they would not refund the overcharge, and claimed my card was not working so they charged me an extra $20 fee. WHAT? And for insult I was also charged an Extra $10 service fee a few days later, which they claim was in the contract. (Total of $62 for this month)

They also charge a fee to Cancel your membership, ridiculous!

24 hour fitness what more can you want? When I'm visiting in town I come here and get some workouts. I pay $30 a month my son and I. Not too bad well worth it if you make the commitments.
