I thought my daughter would try cheer and it would be a passing fad, but she continues after over 2 years of practice and competitions. She practices her dances all the time and it's something that keeps her active and creative. Coach Alexa and her team are very caring of the cheer team and parents. Thanks AZ Cheer and Dance for helping our girl spread her wings and challenge her social and physical skills.

My daughter has been with AZ Gems since it first began, she was 8 and now is 11. My daughter has always been homeschooled and is very soft spoken. Since beginning AZ Gems, not only have I seen her excel in her cheer, dance and tumbling skills, but she is also improving in her social skills as well. Coach Alexa has always treated my daughter with such kindness, respect and especially compassion not only concerning her shyness, but more-so regarding my personal health. Since the beginning of this year, I became pretty ill. I was concerned that my illness would affect my daughter’s ability to continue to thrive in a sport she loves. When I approached Coach Alexa and made her aware of my medical condition, not only was she concerned of my physical health, but of my daughter’s mental and emotional health. She has provided her such a safe, guarded and fun environment that allows her to continue to embrace her childhood despite my illness, and to continue to grow athletically. As a parent, that speaks very highly of her character! Coach Alexa is professional, compassionate, motivating, and determined to provide all of her girls the environment they need to excel in their athletic skills. She remains consistent in providing them the best opportunities for growth and success. My husband and I could not ask for a better cheer/dance coach for our daughter! Coach Lexi with AZ Gems Cheer has been an absolute blessing for my daughter. She treats every girl on the team like her own and is always there to help and support them, both on and off the mat. Coach Lexi works hard to make the program affordable for families, which speaks volumes about her heart and commitment.
What really sets her apart is the environment she creates. Disrespect towards coaches or teammates is completely unacceptable. She promotes a culture of kindness, respect and accountability. My daughter has been with AZ Gems for going on 3 seasons now and I must say it has been so much fun to see how much she has learned from coach Lexi. Tuition fees are very affordable and the coach is amazing! She always goes above and beyond to make sure the girls understand what is expected of them through out the season. The dedication and hard work the coach puts into her team is hard to come by, she shows up everyday for her cheer squads. She will always add extra practice when needed to make sure all the groups/levels have the routines down especially before competitions. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to the teams and always looking for new opportunities for the girls to expand and perform at. We appreciate you!! Coach Lexi began AZ Gems Cheer squad in 2022.
Her goal is to expose girls to a positive productive and supportive environment that allows them to embrace their creativity, develop confidence and build character.
And she has done this...
She's coached over 125 girls ages 4-13 since since she's opened.
They've placed 1st more than 6 times in competitions as well receiving numerous other placements and titles.
Coach Lexi has had her initiative aired on "ABC15– Toyota “Helping kids go places “
She was awarded "Coach of the year through infinity for 2023" out of all Arizona recreational programs, and has received support and accolades from her surrounding community..she is an asset to all that she is involved in and we appreciate her drive,tenacity, and sincerity.

Exceptional professionalism and well organized! My daughters have been on this team for a couple of years now, and this experience has been one of the best that we’ve experienced with any cheer team thus far in AZ. I typically do not leave reviews, but in this case, I definitely need to I will say that the owner/coach needs to work on professionalism being more organized and communication skills because all of those were off with me. My daughter was removed from the team and she had said that she could possibly come back the following season. I respected her choices because I do not condone in being disrespectful to adults are being rude and I corrected my child for that all of this occurred at the end of the season where she decided for my daughter, not sit in Vegas, which was perfectly fine. I had already paid partially of my payment to go to Vegas so I was supposed to receive my payment back. It took two weeks to receive back because of the communication between me and her she kept telling me one day that she would be there and then she wasn’t. She kept changing up the dates. Finally, we had got to the date that she said she would be there, which was on Friday, which was yesterday. I texted her to assure that she was there because I didn’t want any more confusion about returning a uniform that she said that she had made it back I understood all of that. I have no problem with returning the uniform because as I explained to her numerous of times that the uniform was already too small for my daughter. I have never experienced so much unprofessionalism from someone running a business. I also run a business and the way that I was treated, and my child was treated, which was very poorly for the business owner to do so there has been several occasions that I just let slide with the coach/owner, Lexie I’ve always tried to be polite and patient with her but the way that she acted with me. Yesterday was so rude disrespectful and very unprofessional. I showed up to the SportsCenter to return the old uniform that they are no longer using for the next season. She text me in a very rude manner, saying that a lot of the jewels came off. Remind you I’m also a business owner who designed shirts and these jewels fall off all the time especially with the uniform already being too small and too tight, and my daughter was one of the girls that lifted the other team members up. She insinuated that the jewels were picked off and was very rude and very aggressive with me about it, and I didn’t wear the uniform the way that she talk to me was very unprofessional and very rude as I said, I’ve tried to be very patient with her and kind always but the way that she addressed the situation yesterday was very uncalled for and she definitely needs to work on professionalism. I explain to her that my child has a disability and she can be very moody. I feel like why my daughter was on the team. She allowed her to be antagonized and bullied by another parent and it was never addressed I also feel like she was discussing things in front of other children that should’ve never happened where they were able to tell my daughter exactly what she was saying very unprofessional now seeing the way that she treated me and my daughter that everybody is not doing it from the kindness of their heart some people are just doing things for money. I feel like my daughter was constantly singled out and no, she’s not innocent at all and anytime she called and let me know that she did something. I am a parent that is gonna correct my daughter because right is right and wrong is wrong yesterday. The owner coach was very rude and very aggressive with me. Upon this time I had no problem with her until she came out screaming, being very rude to me, in front of people children several witnesses. All I came there for as she ask was to return a uniform and receive my payment! It was like she kept trying to start conflict with me, when she had already prolonged giving me my money! She made a statement about me being made about me being mad my daughter was kicked off that was very unprofessional especially making the statement and my daughter is disabled. Always remember to be kind, and professional my sons death date is Sunday I’ve never been anything but kind until you are rude to me.
