My younger sister has been a regular at this gym for several years and has thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff is exceptional and the coaches are top-notch; we've never encountered a problem. They've consistently been considerate and flexible with our unique circumstances. As a widow with a limited fixed income, our mother found the Arizona Sunrays' scholarship program a godsend, as it made participation in their gymnastics program financially feasible for us. I definitely recommend this gymnastics facility to anyone looking for a friendly and clean environment for their kids.

Arizona Sunrays was my daughter’s gymnastics gym for about four years. As far as the facility on 32nd street it is probably the nicest in the valley. You’re definitely also going to be charged the most in the valley by a lot! Sunrays does like to pack in the classes to maximize programs leaving limited space for each group/class. We had some wonderful times there and made some great memories. We have moved to a newer gym (WGC) located by Skyzone. Have to say the move has been the best choice ever. My daughter now goes 4 hours a day 3 times a week and it cost only a few dollars more a month than we paid for 2 hours a day 1 day a week. I will never discourage anyone from joining Sunrays however, I would highly recommend exploring other nearby options before committing to Sunrays.

We had my daughter's birthday party at the Arcadia location, and it was terrific. The coaches did a great job keeping the kids entertained, and Theresa made everything easy for us. She was a dream to work with.

My daughter has been attending Sunrays Gymnastics for two years, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience! Ms Melissa is an incredibly talented and dedicated dance instructor who brings out the best in each student. Her passion for dance and teaching is evident in every class. Ms Melissa has a way of engaging and encouraging students to learn in a fun and exciting environment. The dance recitals are always well-organized, inspiring, and something we look forward to every year.

I have 3 words for this gym, Family, Inclusion and Ability. We have daughter with special abilities, Down Syndrome and Autism, she is just AMAZING! I start with Family because the moment you walk in the door you are treated as such! We have been attending the 32nd location with Mrs. Heather for over 6 years and we have been treated like family since day one! Inclusion is the second word I use because my daughter is treated like a “Rock Star” by everyone there and included in all activities! Last but not least, I use the word ability because they work with everyone’s ability and supports you along the way!

Classes start 7 minutes late and end 7-8 minutes early. They sit for the first 15 minutes. The coaches are not engaged and lack luster (9:15 Saturday Preschool class) Maybe sing some songs, MOVE, care about where your students are? For how expensive the classes are, I expect better. We are switching to a different day and time. Perhaps it’ll be better.
I will say, Ms. McKenzie is awesome though. She’s the reason we enrolled from open gym and my nieces tumbling class. It’s too bad the standard isn’t higher for all of their teachers. Or at the very least, provide better training for your new teachers.

They really made my daughters first gymnastic experience amazing ! The first week she refused to get out of the car in the parking lot and so we were told to keep trying that it can be scary and so we tried the second week again and I am so glad she went inside and warmed up because she was crying not leave by the time the session was over. Thank you !

Today was our first day - but so far we have had a 5 star experience. The facility is beautiful and clean.
My daughter had a small meltdown at first and the staff was AMAZING. So kind and obviously so good with kids. After a few minutes she came around and had a blast. The teachers all seem very kind and genuinely loving. WAY better than the other gymnastics gym we tried. They kept the preschool class moving so they never got bored and the teacher demonstrated everything for them which I think is so important!

Great if you don't care about your child's mental health. The coaches love talking to your kids behind your back telling them about demoting them for their spins not being tight enough. The coaches kid gets the best costumes, the best routines, and the most routines. "Champions" aren't made by only featuring two students. Be ashamed. Our family practically paid for that brand new auditorium and they have the gall to tell several of our children that they aren't good enough to be stars. If you like performing routines the Sunrays stole from the Cali Flyers this is the place for you.

UPDATE ! the first review had a incentive attached HOWEVER IF YOU ARE A FAMILY OF COLOR I DONT RECOMMEND COMING HERE
FAMILIES OF COLOR DO NOT LAST HERE DUE TO HOW THEY ARE TREATED
OUR EXPERIENCE STARTED OFF GOOD UNTIL MY HOUSEHOLD EXPERIENCED SOME FINANCIAL STRUGGLES AND I APPLIED FOR SCHOLARHIP
HUGE MISTAKE !!
MY CHILD HAS HAD some issues where she started sleeping a lot and we could not make it at times I felt like I was being pressured to sign up for another scholarship HOWEVER I DID NOT BECAUSE I GOT A PAY INCREASE AT THE TIME SO I DECIDED TO PAY FOR THE CLASSES however if you are WHITE THEY WILL WORK WITH YOU but me for one NOT so much it was always a knit pick complaint and when I said this is about the all mighty dollar why are we even having these ridiculous conversations they said my child was no longer welcomed and gave my money back which I have since not been told good things about this establishment if you are a FAMILY OF COLOR there are other places that will treat you EQUALLY AND APPRECIATE YOU AND YOUR CHILD
HER DANCE TEACHERS AND GYMNASTICS COACHES WERE GREAT HOWEVER dealing with office staff was difficult and I was always feeling like it was inconvenience to ask questions TERRIBLE 😞 HOPEFULLY THEY DO BETTER MOVING FORWARD

I used to truly enjoy Sunrays’ gymnastics classes they provided. But there is poor communication amongst their staff. A situation occurred caused by both the distribution of false information and poor communication on their end. I asked to chat with a manager/owner to make them aware of the situation, in hopes of preventing it from happening again to someone else, but they NEVER reached out like they said they would. …Haven't been back to Sunrays since. If it weren't for that, I have re-enrolled for multiple classes at Sunrays.
But because they failed to reach out to communicate with me, (yet again) I enrolled in gymnastics elsewhere, with longer classes to master skills. And since AZ Sunrays increased their tuition prices & added more fees, I've had access to more training for less elsewhere, since leaving Sunrays. It's sad leaving Sunrays because of the relationships built here, but it's not worth getting messed over due to mistakes on their end & them still not showing any accountability or improvement after the fact to resolve the issue or simply prevent future occurrences for that matter.
As an educator in the North Phoenix/PV area, I stopped recommending Arizona Sunrays to families with children who I know would enjoy or benefit from gymnastics because of Sunrays lack of accountability and poor communication.

If you’re looking for a preschool for your child, look no further! Sending my son to the Learning Center has been an absolute dream come true. He gets the combination of an incredible education and physical activity: learning ABCs, sign language, Spanish (and so much more), plus gymnastics, dance, and ninja. He loves going to school every day! He really struggled at other schools, but he is so happy and fulfilled at the Learning Center! The teachers and director are fabulous people as well. Putting him in this school is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. You won’t be disappointed!

My daughter was in the Learning Center preschool for two and a half years. We absolutely loved our experience. The teachers are so great and she learned so much. It is an active preschool which is perfect for active little bodies. She got to participate in dance, ninja and gymnastics. They also learn ASL(sign language) and my daughter is so excited to continue her ASL training. She is sad to leave the Learning Center as she is moving on to Kindergarten but she will continue with her Dance and Gymnastics classes.
I highly recommend this program for your little ones.

Coming from another Ninja program at Xtreme, this gym blows the other one out of the water. The ninja program at Sunrays actually follows a curriculum where the kids get evaluated so they can move up into the next level, instead of just running around doing random parkour. My son was happy in the other gym but now we are both happy. He is excited to be actually working towards real goals to help him be a better athlete.

I really dislike this place!!
The kid-teacher ratio is too high. Kids learn Better with better hands on coaching .
I’ve literally watched my daughter try a moved for 10 minutes with no help from the teacher. By the time the teacher realized they were moving areas. So my daughter got no help cause the teacher was too occupied helping other students.
The way you schedule make-ups is inconvenient and dumb also.

My dougther has been attending sunrays for 5 years now when she started she did not speak any english and even with a lenguage barrier the coaches were patience with her until she was able to understand the lenguage I will always be thankful for this. she loves her coaches they are always willing to help her in a great way and always with positive vibes. now she attends their academy as well meaning their school and she is in love with the place and with her teacher Robin. she is a great teacher always so patience with the kids I love the way she comunicates with the girls. the staff there are so welcoming so thoughtful and always helping us parents with anything we need I love to feel that my kid is in great hands. Thank you Sunrays staff for always looking out for our families.

My daughter loved going here for the few weeks that we did. However, that cannot excuse the dishonesty and poor management of the facility. When I signed her up, I was told by two separate individuals, including the office manager, that I would be allowed to participate in the parent classes without a face covering due to a medical condition. That was the one reason I decided to sign her up for the classes. I wanted to be sure to get that clear from the start so there was no confusion or humiliation. The first time this was confirmed was over the phone when a man helped me book her first trial class. The second instance was when the office manager helped us check in to her trial class.
However, the last two weeks, I've had a few members of the staff approach me and ask me to put on a mask, signaling me out and leaving me to feel humiliated. I informed them that I already had approval from the office manager and will happily continue to maintain a safe distance from other parents/children/staff.
Today I received a phone call and was informed that I would need to violate my rights to medical accommodations in order to continue having my daughter enrolled in their program. This is absolutely unacceptable and truly a sign of poor management and communication. I'm sick of the world we live in that allows this type of medical discrimination to take place- especially when other children and adults in the facility are only encouraged to wear a mask- not required.

This is a wonderful center and we absolutely love it. My son is 4 and attends their preschool class. During the week he gets to participate in dance, gymnastics and ninja zone lessons. He also learns so much during class. He's starting to write and read, using sign language and speaking Spanish. The teachers and instructors are all amazing!

First we came here for a New Year. And it was really fantastic! My kids loved it so much, all the activities and balloons, and raffles. And than my daughter started gymnastics classes here! We changed time and groups a couple times, and I can say that each and every teacher was great, different, but great! It's not cheap, but this classes worth every penny. My daughter loves the gymnastics! And now we are in a waiting list for ninja classes for my son.

My daughter, a 13 year old JO Level 9, practiced with the Sunray’s competitive team while we were on vacation in Phoenix. The facility is incredible! It’s immaculately clean, hosts multiple unique bar set ups (with a pit bar and a sunken bar), has “the softest beams” and most of the facility floor is built in foam so everything is “the perfect amount of cushion” according to my gymnast. In addition to the great equipment and set up, all of the coaches and all the gymnasts were welcoming, encouraging, and so very kind. The coaches gave her great feedback without pushing her to do skills she wasn’t comfortable performing without her regular coach. The gymnasts cheered her on when she decided to go for her layout step out series on beam. Thank you, AZ Sunrays, for such a great experience!

I love this place. The facility is amazing and the people just as great. I feel so welcomed at this gym as an adult gymnast. I have a favorite coach and favorite front office person of course. But if I could live there every day I would. Oh yeah, their safety and prevention is so advanced. Seriously those kids save their bodies by landing on great surfaces, pits everywhere, trampolines under the bars and soft surfaces surround the beams. Great program.

I have two kids that have been attending AZ sunrays for a year now. They absolutely love it. The coaches are amazing. My son has been in the ninja classes and had a great time. He's now taking a Tumbling class which he think is so cool. My daughter has just started the competitive team program. Which is difficult but she thinks it's amazing and lights up every time she talks about her class, teammates and coaches. So to me what makes my kids happy must be a great place. I will continue to bring my kids here.

My daughter begged to take gymnastics. She started last year at Arizona Sunrays as the new gym opened. It is amazing. All of the coaches have been patient as she has learned and progressed in her skill level. She has also attended super camp and I was shocked how tired she was from all the fun she had! We even did her birthday part here, and several friends that go to other gyms commented to how awesome this gym is! I can’t say enough good things about this gym! We love it!

Arizona Sunrays is great. The building is new and their gym set up is awesome. They even have a Cafe that has drinks and snacks. My daughter had been going to Arizona Sunrays since she was about 18mo. I started taking her to their baby/parent dance class they offered for babies under 2.5yrs. Then we signed our daughter up for gymnastics. We started off in the parent and me class in their old building for a bit then moved up to The All by myself class once they moved to the new building. She is now almost going to be 4 and still enjoys jer gymnastic class each week. The coaches are great. Coach Destiny, Amber, Jessica and all the coaches are really awesome. :) The front desk staff is great as well. Overall great facilty!

They offer 23 different times for "boys only" to participate in the NinjaZone program and only 1 time late Friday evening for girls. You would think a gymnastics school would be more accommodating to girls. The company that licenses NinjaZone said they do not require classes to be separated by gender. I would call back and demand my daughter be allowed in, but I wouldn't want her in a school that has this type pf policy.
