I've been a client for about 6 months now. My time with trainer Donald has been incredibly positive and I'm seeing results. It's a friendly place overall. As everyone else says, it's not a big-box gym -- it's a focused training studio. What really helped me decide was the trial offer that Justin provides -- work out with your potential trainer multiple times to see if it works for you. It's a great test drive.

After years of injuries from athletics, car accidents and life, I was looking for a way to heal my body holistically and get out of pain. Starting with the first conversation with Justin, I knew I was in the right place. He paired me with Steve and after the first sessions I already was feeling better, relearning how to move, what muscles to engage, and how to relax and trust my body again. Steve is incredibly knowledgeable, kind and I looked forward to our 2 sessions every week. Better Bodies is a warm community space and I am so grateful for their expertise and encouragement. I highly recommend them!

Justin is a great manager, he listens and he couples you with a trainer that helps you achieve your goals. Matthew is a trainer that has x-rays vision, he knows what muscle needs training and he focuses on that area. I mentioned that I get bored lifting weights so he set me up with exercises that uses my body weight to get stronger. Go 300! Inside joke...

In an attempt to correct some imbalances as a result of my physical career, I signed up for a intro package at Better Bodies in July of 2022. I connected to AndrΓ©e's bio and began. On the day of the last session, I let her know I would not be able to continue due to my finances, however, at the end of my workout - which was tailored, thoughtful, safe, fun, different, and cumulative - I signed up for a year. I LOVE working with AndrΓ©e each week. She is such a great fit for me, and I appreciate that she can meet me where I'm at and she prioritizes keeping me from injury or from "tweaking" anything that will make it hard for me to work as a massage therapist. I'm getting some poor postural behaviors identified and corrected, I'm getting stronger and I'm having fun at the same time. I'm so grateful for Better Bodies chill atmosphere and for AndrΓ©e's guidance and support!

I've been working with Justin, the owner, for about 2 years now, and I can say without hesitation that he is dedicated, compassionate, conscientious, and completely committed to his clients. For me, personally, my strength has improved, my attitude is better, and I'm more committed to weight training. He approaches everything from a whole person frame of mind. He addresses diet, exercise, rest, and all of it comes from a background of personal success as a bodybuilder and consistent commitment to continuing education. If you want personal training that is truly personally invested in you as well as in the company, Better Bodies is the place to go.

TLDR: At the end of my 11th session at Better Bodies, my trainer informed me that they had recently (2 days prior) been exposed to COVID. I'm upset that this was not disclosed before the start of that session. The owner has not addressed my frustrations.
I began seeing a personal trainer at Better Bodies in early April. After having a pretty decent time on an eight-session trial run, I decided to purchase 12 more sessions. However, at the end of the third of these new sessions, my trainer informed me that three of their other clients had recently tested positive for COVID and that they had seen one of these clients as recently as two days before my session. My trainer told me this after I had just been in very close contact with them for nearly thirty minutes. When I told them that I would not have attended my session had I known ahead of time, they responded by saying "it was all very last minute for me as well."
While I understand that COVID exposure is a risk whenever in public, I find this behavior completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Given that my trainer knew prior to my session that they had been exposed, they should have told me before my session started so that I could have chosen not to expose myself (I would've even been willing to pay the cancelation fee for the inconvenience to them).
I have already reached out to the owner of Better Bodies to request a refund for my remaining nine sessions, as I do not feel comfortable going to a facility that clearly does not prioritize my health and well-being. Unfortunately, they have denied this request, citing that their sessions don't expire, so I can come back when COVID has subsided. However, this response fails to acknowledge or address the core of why I am upset. I understand and accept that COVID exposure is a risk whenever in public, however, if I am paying someone to take an interest in my health and well-being then I have an expectation (which I think is a very reasonable expectation) that they will disclose if might be exposing me to a highly contagious disease before my session starts. In their response to me, the owner did not provide any assurance that a situation like this will not occur again nor did they grant my request for a refund. This is an extremally disappointing response and I cannot in good conscious recommend Better Bodies. I would suggest finding another facility that will prioritize your health and wellbeing.

I have had a great time at BB so far, and I like how each workout is effectively tailored to me. My favorite thing at BB is how friendly the staff are, and you can tell they really care about helping you reach your goals! This is my first experience with personal training, and Miguel has done a great job in helping me with my forms and encouraging me.

Honestly, was nervous at first, First time doing Personal Training. But it was everything good I expected and more! I have been going once a week for about 3-4 months now and I am loving it! Justin is my Personal Trainer and he does a phenomenal job at doing his job, but I know the other trainers there give a excellent service as well while I watch them with their clients. They always work with me and I always leave with a nice big pump! Answers lots of questions regarding working out, no problem! Too much to say honestly. It does add to the monthly bill BUT it is worth it!

I purchased the Groupon for 8 sessions to try out the gym and see if it was a good fit for me. Iβm now in my 5th month of training! Friendly, encouraging atmosphere. My trainer, Donald is great at teaching me how to do the exercises correctly, and how to work out my aches and pains along the way. Enjoy being here and look forward to continuing this journey!

Friendly staff and Excellent Personal training , and the correct way to lift weights,
are some of the reasons that I look forward to going to Better Bodies. I have had a full shoulder Replacement
3 years ago, and the shoulder was really stiff. Stephen Caputo, my trainer has worked with to strengthen
the shoulder,loosen, and stretch it,which has helped immensely with shoulder pain. I highly recommend this gym.

I bought the Groupon online to try something different than the traditional gyms around Tucson. I loved the atmosphere as soon as I walked in -- it's not intimidating and you can tell the team of trainers are really knowledgeable about what they do.They keep you accountable, provide lots of encouragement, welcome you in with a smile and you always leave feeling good about the progress you've made. We got a Groupon for 8 sessions. I have a 13 year old son and wasnβt sure how much he would like personal training so we wanted to try it before we did a commitment. Groupon was an affordable way to give it a shot. My son loves training and his trainer Robert couldnβt be a better personality match. We ended up purchasing another 3 months after our Groupon ended. I love the gym, they are very conscious of everyoneβs feelings and wear masks if needed. Itβs never overly crowded, and we are seeing immediate results physically. Of course my sons enthusiasm after each session is the best part. Great gym, great people, great results!

I can't say enough great things about my experience with Better Bodies, working with Stephen has been an amazing journey, I came into the program with my own agenda which I quickly realized was a poor approach. Through Better Bodies I have learned that I need to start from the core and work on my full body fitness not just targeting a few problem areas. The gym is always clean, everyone is very friendly and the trainers give you their full attention, this is not a one-size-fits-all approach. I would recommend them to anyone. I have seen fantastic progress in a few short months.

Better Bodies is a great place for help meeting your personal fitness goals. Initially, I met with Justin List, the owner, to review my personal goals and develop a plan. He has worked with me for the past 5 months and is ever aware of my goals and takes them into consideration with every workout. He pushes me enough but not to the point of injury. Justin is a great coach and role model. He has my respect. Overall, I observe clients of the other personal trainers and they all seem pleased with coming to Better Bodies. I can highly recommend them.

I started at Better Bodies after three years of hardship on my body (a tough pregnancy, being stuck under a baby nursing, running after a toddler, etc). I couldnβt touch the floor. I couldnβt squat. My whole body was mess. I bought the groupon for 8 session hoping that, as movement specialists, they could help me get back my core & flexibility. By the end of session 4, I could squat with a twenty pound weight and by the end of session 5, I could easily touch the ground. This gym is amazing; everyone is so kind and helpful, but they get the job done!
