Best gym that I’ve been to! All the trainers are knowledgeable and supportive. I joined the gym when I found out I was pregnant, thinking I would have to stop exercising all together, Chris explained why I should continue and how it’s beneficial for me to continue. He always was always checking on how I was doing and feeling, always telling me the modifications I should do and all. Months after having my baby, he pushed me to come back even though I wasn’t feeling that good but after coming back, it made me feel so much better! I couldnt recommend this gym enough, great trainers, great community! Thanks Chris for all the support you have given me in my fitness journey!

I’ve been at BFT South Tempe for a little over a year now and it’s been such a great experience! No matter your age or where you’re at in your fitness journey, there’s something for everyone. I’ve gotten so much stronger and can lift heavier than I ever could before. The workouts are always fun and challenging, and the community here is amazing. we even get together for monthly member events, which are always a good time with lots of laughs.

My Absolute favorite group fitness training class. All the coaches are extremely personable, remember your name, help you focus on improving yourself and reaching your goals. I have been attending for over a year and a half…what I really appreciate is the variety of workouts and the big interactive screens which keep you on point throughout your workout. There are so many different workouts that you’ll never get bored.

Joined this gym in December and I love coming here! I felt welcome from the moment I first walked in the door. The coaches are all extremely knowledgeable and genuinely care about your progress. The classes are challenging but fun! It doesn’t matter where you are on your fitness journey, the workouts can be easily modified to suit any level. I can’t recommend this gym enough!

Great program, amazing coaches. The best part is the members are just as supportive and motivating. This is the only program in about ten years of my fitness journey that has actually worked. Could just be me maturing and being more focused and dedicated, but the results can’t be denied. Down 25 lbs and almost at my target weight. I’m in my mid 40s and probably in the best shape of my life thanks to this gym.

When I first started at BFT on January 15th, 2025, I hadn’t consistently worked out since high school. I weighed 206 lbs and could barely bench 75 lbs. Fast forward to May 9th, and I’m down to 188 lbs with a bench max of 150! My cardio has leveled up like crazy, and I’m easily the strongest I’ve ever been in my life.
Huge shoutout to Chris, Ashley, Theresa, and V – their coaching, encouragement, and energy made all the difference. I’m so grateful I took a chance on this gym. The community here is next level – the camaraderie among the members makes every workout fun and motivating.

Experienced or brand new this is the place for you.
It was daunting for me getting back to the gym after injuries and career moves sidelined me for a few years.
Didn’t have the stamina or the strength to follow my old programming and tomorrow was always the best time to get started.
The people and the leadership at this gym are top notch. Take it serious enough to get results while keeping it fun enough and varied enough to keep it exciting to keep coming back.
I feel like I’m finally back on track and could not have done it without such an awesome team.
Wherever you’re at in your fitness journey I can’t recommend this location highly enough.

People need BFT, fantastic coaches, clean gym, and great programming. For those that want to live a long healthy and better life. Incorporating this style of exercise is best. Any movement is great, but if you are going to move, you might as well do it right! BFT incorporates cardio, explosive movements, and heavy lifting: a recipe for longevity and a pain free life. If you are going to go to a gym, I HIGHLY recommend BFT. Backed by science and supported by fantastic results. You’re aerial spinning, low weight, and trampoline jumping isn’t cutting it!

There are many reasons why I’m giving BFT 5 stars but I’ll simplify it to three main points:
Science-based: BFT takes pride in designing their workouts based on science. This claim is truly evident in the significant results I’ve seen in just a few months! And it’s not just about losing weight but also getting stronger.
Fun: I look forward to the workouts! No day is the same, which keeps it fun and engaging! The music is always great and adds to a positive atmosphere ideal for pushing hard during the workouts.
Friendly: I don’t know how they do it but they have the friendliest coaches (and not in a cringy, overly-bubbly way) and members. The thought of the workouts can be intimidating but the welcoming environment makes all the difference.

I’m an OG BFT member since November 2023 and had not heard of BFT previously until this location opened. Here my thoughts and observations as a member here:
The space and equipment - it’s obviously new and well taken care of. It’s cleaned regularly. The bathrooms are spotless also. If any equipment breaks due to wear and tear it is quickly fixed and/or replaced.
The coaches - they care. You can learn something from each one of them. They all bring something unique to their classes but all are knowledgeable. They will push you to be better and lift heavier.
The members - they are all shapes, sizes, ages and walks of life. You won’t be the youngest or oldest, I promise. Members will also challenge you if you’re not lifting heavy enough, a true fit fam ;)
The workouts - these are carefully written by corporate with the members in mind. Each day builds off the previous one and in 8 week blocks. Every other day is cardio rotating each week. You will be paired with someone or in a group of 3 and never alone in the workouts.
All and all this place has something for everyone. Investing in your health is a necessity and this is a wonderful place to do it. I highly recommend this gym and location to anyone in Arizona — you won’t regret it :)

When I first learned BFT was opening a location in Tempe I actually wasn't looking for a gym. But then all of a sudden my gym of 5 years was closing and I was in the market.
Best decision I made was signing up as a founding member before the doors even opened. Just over 1 year later I am about to hit 250 workouts. The mix of cardio, strength and even a few kickboxing style workouts always keep it exciting. Not only do the coaches push you the other members are truly inspiring. I can't praise this place enough. Come check it out!

Honestly, finding this gym has been the best! As a former figure competitor, I was looking for a place that was the perfect blend of strength and cardio to help me get back into shape after taking a hiatus from working out … and boy did I find it! BFT South Tempe is by far the best gym I've ever been to! I've tried several other group fitness gyms, but none compare to the way BFT structures its workouts. The combination of progressive blocks and strength training has helped me become the strongest I've been in 8 years! I just moved to AZ from MN and one of my deciding factors of where to live in AZ was based around where the closest BFT gym was. I love BFT classes. I have been in the fitness industry for over 25 years and have lost over 90 lb. but never in these 25 years have I found a group fitness program that works! The classes are always challenging. Your body never plateaus and is constantly being challenged. The instructors are all amazing as well and loaded with tons of knowledge. Come try a few classes. You won’t be disappointed!

I first stumbled on BFT when I spent a month in Australia (where it was started). I worked out there for two weeks and was blown away. It’s the perfect combination of cardio and strength, like if orange theory and CrossFit met in the middle.
It’s also the perfect atmosphere, with people working hard and being a community, without feeling like a cult of people whose entire identity is their body and PRs.
Lucky me, they expanded into the US. I was ecstatic when I saw a south Tempe location was opening, and reached out to Chris, the owner. A little less than a year later, and I’m so thankful I did.
It’s been the biggest blessing in my life the past year. I have a place I can go and work hard, laugh with friends, make progress, encourage others, and be a part of what’s becoming such a beautiful community.
The coaches are kind, fun, and in some cases (looking at you Chris and Ashley) the silliest geese (in the best way). The members are diverse, you’ll find all levels of fitness and age, and like a big family that cheers each other on.
What you won’t find are coaches or members trying to get you to push yourself into the danger zone, being overly critical, or judging you based on appearance or proficiency. It is truly the most welcoming gym I’ve ever been a part of.
But don’t let that fool you, we WORK. And the best part is you’ll WANT to work. I have to force myself to take days off, because it’s that fun being there, and I feel so good after. But of course, bodies need rest.
That being said, the programming is so well-designed that you can absolutely go once every day. Going twice every day…might be too much, but it usually doesn’t stop me anyways.
Chris, Ashley, and the other coaches are building something really special, and it’s made a very real difference in my life the past year. I can’t begin to thank them enough.
Come do a class with all of us, and I bet you won’t look back. We’ll be waitin’ for ya!

I’ve been coming to BFT South Tempe since they opened and I have to say I truly enjoy it. I’ve done everything: CrossFit, Orange Theory, F45, other functional fitness gyms and even my own lifting in a gym. BFT South Tempe give you all of it plus more.
The programming is very well balanced. You wear a heart rate monitor and depending on the day the coaches will guide you through what zones you should be in as you progress in the class, coaches will push you to go harder, keep your pace or even tell you to slow down to achieve the goal of the day. They’ve taught me going harder is not always better. Every workout pushes you without making you feeling fatigued or overworked the next day. I know some OT or F45 classes I would take I would get pushed to where I didn’t want to show up the next day because of being sore or just tired.
The Coaches are AMAZING! Coaches will demo movements for the class and give you an idea of what you should be focusing on when doing that movement. Some days depending on the type of class there are 2 coaches walking around to ensure everyone is doing the moves properly. They will answer any and all questions. I know for me personally understanding the heart rate zones and why we may rest longer than expected on strength days has definently helped me build my endurance and I've gotten so much stronger! The coaches are educated and it’s clear they have a lot of experience.
On to the community! I know starting at a new gym can be intimidating, but I can truthfully say everyone is always welcoming in all classes. I go to any class I can make, sometimes its early morning and other times its late evening. I’ve never been partnered or part of a group where we didn’t talk, help or cheer each other on. The gym even puts together outings where we can all get together outside the gym enviorment. Its truly the best.
The gym isn’t the cheapest option out there, but its worth every cent! No matter your fitness goals this gym I believe will help you get there. The Gym owner Chris will even text you if he hasn’t seen you in a while just to make sure you’re not just throwing your money away.

I love working out here!! I've been coming since they first opened and all of the coaches are so nice, motivating and fun. This gym has really developed into a nice community and everyone is friendly! I enjoy the programs that BFT uses, they alternate between either more strength based or cardio classes, but also have mixed days as well. The app is also really helpful and easy to use to schedule classes, see your heart rate zones during a previous workout and I feel like it helps to hold myself accountable with attending sessions!

I’ve been attending BFT South Tempe since they opened and love it for at least 3 reasons.
1. The programming is challenging, balanced, and diverse. Depending on the workout, you are challenged with either the weight, heart rate zones, or tempo. There is a good mix of strength and cardio each week.
2. The friendly coaches provide constructive feedback on your form and help you with modifications. They also keep you motivated during the workouts.
3. The community. Their group fitness model is motivating and fun. They’re also planning monthly community events, like brunch, hiking, and bowling, outside of the studio.
I recommend this studio to anyone looking to have fun while improving their physical fitness. Coming from working out solely at home and 16 months postpartum, I’ve already seen my strength and endurance grow. I enjoy working out with like minded people.

Nice gym! I wanted something similar to F45 but not as expensive. This gym def provided that. My only complaint, the pricing is super vague and still don't know the long term options. Also, the staff was nice, but seemed like they didn't quite know what to do. Amazing equipment and awesome class.
