Block Fitness is unique! I've taken exercise classes and had personal trainers before, but nothing like the attention I get from the trainers at Block. If I need help setting up equipment or help with my form to do things correctly, Stephanie or Aubrie are usually already coming to help. The trainers are just wonderful, the atmosphere is so inclusive and welcoming, and the exercise routines are often unique. I just love Block Fitness! Try it!

I've tried many gyms and workout classes, and Block Fitness exceeds them all! It's like personal training, but you get to share that time with a few other people who are focused on their own set of exercises. I’m a 50-+yr. Old woman in menopause. I need to drop some weight but really I wanted to be stronger and have less aches and pains! Not only are my aches and pains less, I’m sleeping better and getting stronger everyday! The coaches and individualized programs are great!!! I recently spent a month training with the coaches at Block Fitness off Sunrise. I did the 3x/wk plan and Saturday mornings for more of a HIIT kinda class. I am not a newbie to the whole gym/fitness/workout routine, but my routine has been flailing for the last 6 months or so. To me joining Block was a fresh start, access to experts who could talk to me about my form and make sure I was feeling what I should feel from each exercise, and, I had to be accountable to more than just myself for this kickstart of mine. It was a great experience and I am back at it with better awareness of my body and workouts I can keep doing while I travel this summer. And I will likely be back for more in the fall. Great place, great experienced and personable coaches.

This is a great locally owned gym. I like the semi-private, small-group style strength training workouts, the app and the coaches. I stayed away from gyms off and on for years for one reason or another, but this one has a different vibe you have to experience for yourself. I'm also seeing results after training for about 6 weeks.

These people are the REAL DEAL! Best gym I have ever joined and best coaching I have ever received. If you are looking for results put your trust in Block Fitness! They make it fun, achievable and you will have results guaranteed! Joseph's team personally tailored a workout plan for me that allowed me to achieve quick gains and overcome a torn shoulder that was needing replacement. I'm new to Block Fitness, but my experience so far has been fantastic. It’s been seven years since I have worked out in a gym. From the moment I stepped through the door, the Block Fitness team made me feel welcomed. I've been working specifically with Aubrie during my workouts, and she has been incredible! She never hesitates to cheer you on through the tough exercises, which keeps me motivated. She also pays close attention to my form, offering corrections when needed. On top of that, our conversations are always enjoyable and engaging. The workouts are challenging, but they’re also very rewarding. So far after a month in I’m loving the program.

Really enjoy my time at Block Fitness. Joseph and Karil are really welcoming and make you feel comfortable coming into the gym. It was important for me to feel comfortable coming back to workout and they did just that. The gym is nice and the trainers are all great. I love the semi private sessions because you get to workout with a few other people so you can be social, but still have your own plan and attention catered to you from a coach. If you are thinking about joining, just do it!
I’ve been doing semi-private training three days a week for a couple of months. Previously, I had only worked out on my own—sometimes asking a friend for advice on my workout plan.
But nothing compares to working out with a trainer, using a workout routine customized to your goals.
I have never had workouts this productive in my entire life. Having the accountability of a trainer present gives me so much more motivation, and their supervision means that I am doing everything safely.
I have worked with four of the Block Fitness trainers in my time here—including the two owners—and everyone is lovely. They are all friendly and encouraging, willing to take the time needed to make sure you understand each exercise and guiding you in the correct form to make sure you are getting everything out of each set.
The space is comfortable and the vibe is as non-intimidating as it can be. Their clientele ranges from seniors to people recovering from injuries to people just trying to get in shape. It’s definitely a positive, friendly environment where people come to work on their own goals without judgement.
I have nothing but great things to say about Block Fitness. I only wish I would have joined sooner. If you are considering joining, do yourself a favor and do it right away. You will thank yourself later!

This gym is our new favorite place to be, from the moment you walk in you can leave your worries behind and do something good for yourself. The coaches are amazing and the moves are easy yet effective, plus you can workout on your own goals privately. It’s so very clean too. Modern and open with only a handful of others working out at the same time. My daughter works out along side me and we help each other, it’s a fun workout and great space to unwind. They are kind and considerate. Highly recommend!!

Let me just start off by saying that this gym is for everyone. Really, I mean everyone (within medical safety limits of course). You’re a 72 yo sedentary adult with a history of spine surgery cleared for regular exercise? Come to Block! You’re a 25 year old rock climber that wants to increase overall strength? Come to Block! You’re a 32 yo gym rat mom who got knocked off the workout horse for a few months by back-to-back RSV and Covid (heehee that’s me)? Come to Block! This is a welcoming, healthy, encouraging, and comfortably challenging space for all bodies. I really can’t say enough good things about Block Fitness and their skilled team. Joseph and Karil are far more knowledgeable than any personal trainer or gym owner that I’ve ever known. During my assessment Joseph somehow knew that I carried my four year old on my right hip because he could see the strength imbalance between sides 🤯. Every session Karil gives me solid tips to get the most out of my assigned exercises. Not only are they knowledgeable now, but both of them are committed to continuing education so they stay up to date on the best in high quality strength training. I’ve been going 2x per week for less than 2 months, and I can already tell I’m getting back to my previous levels of strength… AND WITHOUT PAIN! When I went to other gyms and fitness classes I’d notice that my lower back would get painful and tight. Because of their modifications specific to my needs, the only pain I’ve had so far is that satisfying soreness a day or two after. I’m confident that I’ll surpass the strength that I once had in my physique competition and running days. They’re helping me stay strong and stable for my work as a hospice nurse, and I even have better strength and stamina for my job as a mom! Come see for yourself why Block is the fitness family you never knew you needed to be a part of.

I have been working out at various gyms for 40+ years. I started working with block because I had a shoulder injury. I was diagnosed by Joseph and team, not with a should problem, but a weak back that was affecting my shoulders. We worked on a custom workout to strengthen my back and I was pain free after a few months. I stayed with Block and they helped me prepare for a hiking trip where I walked almost two hundred mills in two weeks. I have been a BLCOK member for three years and am in the best place physically since my twenties. I highly recommend BLOCK for anyone no matter your current physical state or what your goals may be. They listen and help you achieve those goals.

Joseph and his coaching team did what 3 orthopedic doctors, and 3 physical therapists could not - address knee pain that was limiting my activity and keeping me up at night. They have a unique approach of custom training plans that change every month to address your specific needs and goals. I am now in my fourth year of Block membership and enjoying all the benefits of functional movement. I'm excited about this new facility and its focus on thoughtful, custom personal training.

Block Fitness is without a doubt the best gym in Arizona and beyond! There is no other facility on this planet that makes me look forward to working out the way Block does. I found Block because it was around the block from me, so I tried it out. I have joined many gyms in my life, but Block is by far the best. The coaches, first and foremost, are really positive and great, but ensure you are doing things correctly. I really like the class format.
