They need an outside location for us to practice the HAMR run. Itβs 5:30pm and the basketball court is full of ppl everywhere on both sides and I cannot practice for my test.

Luke AFB gym. Older military gym with slightly outdated equipment. The desk staff and cleaning staff ensure everything is as close to perfect as it can be. They are pretty awesome and make this a Five Star facility!
Small & inexpensive things that would instantly help improve the gym.
1. Trap bars for deadlifts (the ones with a six inch riser grip). Adding one or more to each free weight gym would add a back protecting option to weight lifters, as well as giving a Farmers Carry option to training. (Your aviation mechanics and ordinance loaders will particularly like this.)
2. Keeping an air pump with a ball filling needle in the basketball gym. 90% of the basketballs in the gym are non-bouncy bricks. This is why many hoopers bring their own balls. But junior enlisted are tossing the bricks that live in the gym. Those gym balls don't bounce back very well, landing with more of a thud on the court surface. The balls that are there are old, but ok. They just need to be pumped up. Let the hoopers do it.
There are other suggestions, but these are two small things that could be implemented quickly & easily, and are inexpensive.

Plenty of exercise machines for cardio. Very clean and very friendly staff. Not busy during the day. Weight room is spacious with a good amount of machines and free weights. 3 full basketball courts will almost ensure space to practice.

Awesome gym with tons of options. Can get busy at normal times, but no issues during the off hours/weekends. Make sure to check out the combat PT tent behind the main gym as it is oftentimes much less crowded than the main gym.

Clean gym. Friendly staff. Easy access. The mornings are the best times. They have everything you need to be in shape at this gym. I enjoy being at sauna, it is a bit small for 20 people but come early and it is empty. Huge locker room. Love being a proud wife to an Air-force husband.

There is plenty of workout equipment there. A good number of stationary bikes, treadmills, and step climbing machines are available. A basketball court and a large fit/ cross fit section.

Lots of varying/modern workout equipment. Great atmosphere; accommodating and awesome staff. It can be very crowded and some patrons tend to hog/hold equipment although this is not an issue as most are quite polite if you inquire about the use of them.

Theyβre the go to option for blocking your cac when you follow all the rules after business hours, and making you turn around and grab your cac during business hours if you EVER forget it . America can rest assured these guys wonβt let the military personnel work out without ALL proper identification during business hours and to make it a hassle after business hours.

So the weekends here are a joke. They only have one squat rack in the weight area that has a line of people waiting to use it. However, the Combat PT tent has several, but they close it on the weekend. Therefore my leg workout takes longer than usual as I sit and wait my turn to use the squat rack. Easy fix, open the Combat PT tent on the weekends. Please and thanks.

This facility is currently available for all DoD cardholders not just Active Duty, per COVID requirements a mask must be worn. I especially like that sanitation standards are met for the current situation and all equipment/facilities can be used safely.

Its a bit of a joke to be half operational, tell people to prep for PT tests, take down the use of every other piece of equipment, completely close off the basketball court which is approximately 45% of the square footage of the entire facility, and expect people to call this a good or even great gym. Once leadership can figure out the direction they really want to go in it would likely make the gym more operational. Equipment isn't often broken but when it is its fairly simple fixes. The best thing this gym does is offer 24 hour entrance with CAC access.

First time going being a reservist has made it difficult to work out while having a full time job and doing school online. This fitness center not only had awesome friendly staff but the environment was clean and up to code. I'm happy to say I'd recommend this gym for whom is trying to get back in shape or staying in shape .

Itβs really not fair when you have the fitness centers open during the COVID-19 only for active-duty reserve national guard but military spouses military dependence are not allowed do you use the facilities. I understand that they trying to protect the soldiers but they also need to understand that the soldiers they live with their dependence they live with their spouses so youβre really not doing anything other than just preventing spouses and dependence from using the facilities its really doesnβt make sense!!!!
We follow our spouses everywhere they go every duty station so we have part in this stop treating us like some stupid civilians that donβt know anything because we have a role in this and start including us into these kind of things!!!!

This is the smallest gym I've been to out of 4 bases and although nice it gets so overly cramped when only twenty people want to get there swole on. The one nice thing about this gym is the combat pt tent which is a little more crossfit focused but has all the free weights you need to get the job done that is when the main gym is overcrowded.

Anyone complaining has never visited an army gym. This facility is nice and clean and has a lot of amenities, most at no out of pocket cost. Equipment is new and works properly. I did see a sign advertising $4 pre work out Jell-O shots if youβre into that sorta thing.

Excellent facility state-of-the-art. I like how they separate the cardio buddies from the thick neck big vein carnivores in the weight room. The only negative thing I could say is that the bathroom stalls door had a gap wide enough for me to fit my hand in I guess it's okay if people want to see my face as the Pre-Workout kicks in when I'm on the toilet.
