Love this gym. The morning staff is always friendly and welcoming. They welcome every person walking in and out. They are constantly cleaning making sure the equipment is put away. The four am gym crowd is such a great group of gym goers. Would recommend this gym to all athletic types, it’s a great starter gym and for experience lifters.

I come here almost everyday and I love this gym. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable especially Jordy! I always see them cleaning the place so I know it's sanitized. And I love how accessible the equipment is. They also have a boxing ring and heavy bags to practice on. Definitely my favorite gym in town and I've been to all of them.

By far my favorite gym in town, and I've tried them all. Spacious, never too crowded (I go at peak gym crowd time from 4-5:30pm) and a true no-judgement zone. The staff are great...helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Tons of equipment no matter what your fitness level and goals are: bodybuilding, powerlifting, boxing, cardio, classes or just general fitness. If you've never been, or haven't been since the new staff came on board, you need to check it out. And if you're there in the evenings and need a spot, let me know!

Went to try out and it was $10 day pass! The place smelled like cigarettes, there's also some sort of restaurant situation going on in the back.
The gym it's self was the dirtiest gym I've ever seen. (Ive been going to gyms my whole life.
The locker rooms made me not want to touch anything. They had what looked like different shower curtains they acquired over time for some reason, old and mis matched. Everything was old and worn out.
The gym floor itself was small, dark and low air quality. The equipment was old, out dated. I tried a pull cable machine and the cable was so old and deteriorated that I stopped my workout and left.
Never to return. Sorry but the angry old man at the front that also, talked and acted like I shouldn't even be there was a no go for me.
Do better for the members and the community because it's obvious your not even trying.

We just started going there a couple months ago, It's my go to now, I have planet fitness membership as well. But this place wins every time. Friendly staff, good music, plenty of equipment, boxing room, it's just great. My daughter was visiting and they let me just do a month membership for her, no contract, no attachments, I loved that! My favorite gym so far in sierra vista. Ps. Wish they had a sauna, or a hot and cold plunge type of stuff lol

Danny, is the Manager of Buena Fitness and his Father, Hank is the Lease/Owner.
The original owner of the HOTYOGA CLUB ( Marybeth Medley, “was a friend for 2 yrs,” UNFORTUNATELY her, "main concern, is herself," to make the money, she needs this money, to the point, where the new people first come into the intense heat and humidity, they are not inform enough, to prepare new people for it. #1: You must have plenty of water, at least a pint or better a quart next to you. #2 The further back you are from the instructor, the temperature is cooler, especially for beginners. You see, you first pay $20 to start. If you don’t come back, "SO WHAT," she keeps the 20$ and you quit. My first day I got very lightheaded/dizzy, I forgot my water. I had to stop, left the room, went to the front desk and bought multiple bottles and drank most of them. Then returned. Marybeth would ignore my questions about a proper automatic brief before each class. The humidity system is a bit complex and I was the one that fixed, repaired and maintained it for her, I solved numerous other issues including repairing the inside of the hot yoga room. Joseph is the power yoga instructor and one day he verbally assaulted me in a insane rant screaming his head off over nothing while slamming his arm as hard as he could cursing and was obviously unstable. I complained to Marybeth and she then; to make a long story short, she kicked me out of the hot yoga classes permanently. She was worried that I was going to get a restraining order for Joseph assaulting a elder- person. My yoga was therapeutic for my PTSD, and very important to my longevity and mental health. Marybeth demonstrates a sociopathic type behavior and I learned that she is a chronic habitual liar. My PTSD is directly connected to my military service of over 20years as a US Navy SEAL, 67 yrs old. The manager of the gym, " Danny," supported her lies and was the one that brought all the numerous quitters to my attention? We “were,” good friends….(until he stabbed me in the back...) I constantly promoted the Gym and saved both of them thousands of dollars……Very SAD.👎👎👎 The last day of April 2022, was my last day and the beginning of the END of the HotYogaClub and the shrinking popularity of the Buena Fitness gym. Mary-Beth and Danny's KARMA, are non-existent, BAD, to say the least!

This is a very unique facility. It has old school professional grade free weights for serious bodybuilders as well as huge variety of machines for those who prefer more controlled weight lifting. This facility also had a nice boxing ring with heavy bags and boxing practice accessories. But, above it all, probably the jewel of Buena fitness is the legendary Mr. Hank Diaz who has been bodybuilding himself for over 40 years and trained countless bodybuilders during his career. If you never met this man, then I highly suggest you pay a visit and use his knowledge of physical training to take your training to the next level. At age 89 Mr. Díaz opens the gym every day of the week at 03:30am and take care of his clients better than anyone I have ever met.

By far the best gym in the local area. They have a massive facility, with every kind of equipment you could possibly need. The owner is the nicest man you'll meet. There are a plethora of cardio machines and an entire boxing room, with a ring. They do hot yoga classes as well, so virtually everything fitness related is doable here. The pricing is also fantastic for what's offered.

Buena health and fitness is located near the main Buffalo soldier gate fort Huachuca Army Post. It is a really nice place. Easy going calm and quiet a great place to work out and get yourself together.

This place is non-pretentious and very real. It is spacious and large and usually not very crowded. They have a wide variety of equipment weight machines and free weights. As well as a boxing gym, with a boxing ring.

This place is awesome, they have a good deadlifting platform, plenty of squat racks, great selection of dumbbells, and a good mentality/atmosphere for getting in shape. The price is excellent for all the things you get access to, and they even have a boxing/MMA room with heavybags, speedbags, and a FULL boxing ring!! They have an amazing personal trainer named Carl Taylor who trains people in the morning time and will get you the results you're looking for! He's incredibly knowledgeable and helped a friend of mine lose over 50 pounds!

The hours, price convenience, the fact that it’s never really busy are fantastic! They staff/owners are EXTREMELY welcoming, polite and easy to talk with. The monster issue, for me at least, is the cleanliness. The bathrooms are atrocious and the gym floor is full of clumps of balled up hair left over from mopping. Simple vacuuming would solve the problem of the gym floor and cleaning the bathroom more than once a week, as flyer says they are cleaned on Sundays, would help as well. Also wasn’t a huge fan of working out in dim lighting with zero windows. Obviously, a lot of this is personal preference but the cleanliness is just a glaring issue for me. I’m sure they are short staffed like the test of the world too.

It's a classic 90's gym. They have a boxing ring, hot yoga studio, and meal prep kitchen in the back. It's an old school gym with an awesome owner. He's personal and he gets to know you by name. They also have a place for kids to wait for their parents to workout. Support this local business owner because it's definitely worth visiting.

Was a member here when I was in Sierra Vista. A friend recommended it to me as "serious Iron gym". Had a terrible experience at another gym where I saw an elderly veteran totally disrespected and yelled at by a self-entitled person who thought she was God's gift to humanity for the"crime" of paying this drama queen a compliment. Management was terrible to him so I left the next day and tried Buena HFC. It's an old fashioned gym that's not full of prima donnas who are obnoxious to any and everyone. Rather it was a friendly atmosphere where you could do some serious lifting.

My situation was resolved and I got refunded.

It's been a year since I've used this gym and I think they're trying to modernize more. I think it's a decent gym and it isn't very expensive, they throw in boxing instruction along with some free equipment. One thing I thought was silly was somebody wrecked the bathroom so they just closed it for everyone. I think they made it so you need a key for the bathroom. I think that maybe shows you the budget of the gym. I think it would be renovating an area for lockers and a full size bathroom, with cctv near the entrance. When there's more traffic in a locker/bathroom area I think somebody would also be less likely to get away with vandalism as well.

It was a decent gym when I was around and I hope they continue to improve.

I was lucky enough to stumble into Buena This past summer and my experience there was excellent. The staff are extremely friendly and encourage you in every way possible. The atmosphere in the gym is even better. Personally I’ve always felt self conscious when working out but I never felt that way at Buena. The equipment is top notch as well! Buena is easily the best gym in SV.

I have been using BHS since 1993. This is a legit gym, not one of those that panders to clients. If you want to get a good workout in, have a staff that actually wants you to exceed and pass all your own fitness expectations, then there is no better gym in the area. The owners and staff will do everything they can to help you on your journey.

I've been participating in Silver Sneakers at Buena for about a year. The instructor is wonderful. There is a great deal of camaraderie among those attending. Unfortunately, I do not do well exercising without air conditioning. Sometimes we have air conditioning, sometimes we do not. When it is 80 degrees in the room, I begin to feel sick. Last summer the room became very hot. I'm not sure I can handle another hot summer without air conditioning at Buena Health Fitness Center.

Revision to review: I had posted the review above. I am lowering the review because of Buena Health Fitness Center's response to the review. Their response was disingenuous stating that the temperature was between 72 - 74 degrees. That was not what I had experienced. Nor is it what others in the class had experienced prior to my review. Providing a reasonable temperature had been an on going problem the entire time that I was a member of the Fitness Center. The 80 degree day was the straw that broke the camels back. Management's response to an on going problem was to deflect the issue to a problem with me. They are so sloppy that they called, and left a message wanting me to return their call and failed to provide a phone number. I've left Buena Health Fitness Center. I'm now going to Cochise Racquet Club. The facility is cleaner, the staff much more friendly, and the other members are extremely welcoming.

If you are sane, you will NOT believe this story: Went one day only, on my membership. My first day ever on the floor. I forgot to take weights off leg press. Was sent an email 24 hours later saying they revoke membership for this infraction. They wrote that my email reply would help them determine "disciplinary action". My reply indicated I was quite sorry for the mistake, it was an uncommon one on my side, and that I was quite stunned at being threatened with revocation of my membership over one infraction of an innocuous kind, without so much as a warning of this kind of absolute rigidity, instead of this kind of aggression from my one and only day using my membership. I indicated this was my first time at the gym, ever. They replied saying my email helped them determine that my "unmerited" perspective, had them determine to follow through with that threat (however unmerited the perceived threat??) to revoke my membership. In addition, this revocation was not enough for them, so at the bottom of that email, was a directive, in all bold, that if I stepped foot on any part of their property, I would be arrested. . . .But even THAT wasn't enough folks, because they sent police TO MY HOUSE!! While I was writing this review, a police officer just stopped by to confirm that if I stepped on that property, I would, indeed be arrested!!!!!! True story folks. These people are just CRAZY. I don't know WHAT all these 5 stars are for. No human never forgets to replace weights in my 52 yrs going to a gym. Lol. No wonder at all that this place is always empty every time I drive by.
