I recently took Carly’s spin class at Cyclebar McCormick Ranch, and it was an outstanding experience. Her rhythm on the bike was spot-on, making it easy to follow along and stay motivated throughout the session. The music selection was fantastic—upbeat and perfectly suited to keep everyone energized. Carly's high energy on a Saturday morning was truly impressive and set a positive tone for the entire class. Her enthusiasm was contagious and made the workout both enjoyable and invigorating. Highly recommend if you're looking for a dynamic and motivating spin class!
Also, Corey’s class at CycleBar is the perfect combination of energy, motivation, and fun! From the moment the music starts, you can feel the positive vibes and high energy in the room. Corey knows exactly how to push you to your limits while making the ride feel empowering and uplifting. The playlists are fire, the coaching is inspiring, and you leave class feeling stronger, both mentally and physically. Whether you're a seasoned rider or brand new to cycling, Corey creates a welcoming environment that keeps you coming back for more. Highly recommend!

This place kind of sucks. Half the time I go my bike is broken. I finally said something once and asked if I could get some sort of pass refund or something, and they said no because it was that instructors last class so they had opened up all the broken bikes for booking. Just seems like really bad customer service as their decision to do that has nothing to do with me and I wasnt informed I was getting a broken bike. Their cancellation policy is also pretty extreme- you not only lose your entire class- you also have to pay a $15 fee. So they basically make $45 or so on a class you dont take. This is extreme for a place that from everything I can see is not regularly booking up their classes.

I’ve been to this cycle bar SO many times. I typically use ClassPass. I went today for a ClassPass class and had them charge the card on file the $4 shoe fee. My card declined for some reason and the error code was “call bank” they don’t take Apple Pay or any electronic type of payment. I was turned away and not allowed to ride because of a FOUR DOLLAR shoe fee! I’ll go spin elsewhere from now on.

I am absolutely appalled by the treatment my friend and I received from the staff at this CycleBar location, and I feel compelled to share my experience to warn others. To provide context, I'm a current CycleBar member at my home studio in a different city and an experienced rider, very familiar with the class structure and the brand’s overall protocols.
Now, I understand that each CycleBar location operates as an independently owned and managed franchise, and this means policies and levels of flexibility can sometimes vary from one studio to another. While I acknowledge that there are overarching brand guidelines, individual franchise owners have the discretion to enforce rules as they see fit, and this includes policies on arrival times, class participation, and general customer accommodations, etc.
My friend (who is also a CycleBar member in her city) and I were in Scottsdale for work for a couple of days and decided to book a class at this Cyclebar location. On the day of our scheduled class, we encountered unexpected traffic despite leaving plenty of buffer time. While this made it impossible to arrive exactly 15 minutes early (as the studio requested to get us “set up"), we were still en route via Uber and would have arrived before the class began. Wanting to be proactive, I reached out to the studio in advance to explain our situation, and let them know that while we couldn’t meet their early arrival requirement, we would still be on time and didn’t need a bike rundown, as we were already familiar with the bikes.
To my surprise, rather than demonstrating even a hint of understanding or flexibility, they outright refused to let us participate, promptly canceled our bookings—yet had NO problem keeping our money, labeling it a "late cancellation," despite the fact that neither my friend nor I had actually canceled.
Welcome to 2025. Traffic delays are a universal reality, and any competent studio should recognize the need for at least a little flexibility—especially if their clients are current Cyclebar members and are already familiar with the class structure and DO NOT require a "run-down" of the bikes. Policies should serve the needs of members, not alienate them. I have always appreciated the brand’s emphasis on community and inclusivity. But this experience has made it painfully clear that this particular Cyclebar location is absolutely an exception to those values.
So, we took our business to NYX nearby, where we were met with nothing short of excellence and positive vibes! From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us with professionalism, empathy, and a genuine warmth that immediately set the tone for an amazing workout. The difference between the two studios couldn’t be more pronounced—one thrives by putting people first, while the other alienates its customers with nonsensical inflexibility and poor judgment. NYX demonstrated how a business should operate: with customer care, adequate flexibility, and a commitment to creating a welcoming environment.
NYX has set a standard that this CycleBar Scottsdale location should aspire to, though I highly doubt they’re capable of it. If you are looking for a studio that truly values its members and delivers an outstanding experience, NYX is the clear choice. As for this CycleBar location? They’ve proven they don’t deserve your time, money, or loyalty. Their inflexible, tone-deaf approach to customer service and complete disregard for the realities of their members’ lives are utterly baffling. This is not how a business that values its customers operates. Do yourself a favor and steer clear—there are FAR better studios out there that actually care about their members.

CycleBar Scottsdale is a top-notch studio that truly stands out for its incredible staff and welcoming environment. From the moment you walk in, Allie at the front desk greets you with the warmest smile and energy that instantly puts you in a great mood. She’s always so helpful, making the check-in process seamless and answering any questions with enthusiasm and professionalism.
Kylie, the manager, is equally amazing and clearly dedicated to making CycleBar Scottsdale the best it can be. Her leadership shines through in the studio’s smooth operations and the positive atmosphere she fosters. Kylie is approachable, attentive, and genuinely cares about every rider’s experience, which is so refreshing to see.
The studio itself is spotless, the bikes are well-maintained, and the overall vibe is fun and inspiring. If you’re looking for a place to crush your fitness goals while being supported by an outstanding team, CycleBar Scottsdale is it!

BEWARE!! The franchise owner of this location is not paying their bills. They own this location, the Chandler location and one other location. The Chandler location is closed with a note on the door that they did not pay their rent. They supposably sent out an email, but neither my husband nor I received an email. No response to calls for a refund. You have been warned.

Have been going to Cyclebar for a couple years now but took some time off for summer/work travel. Been tough getting motivated recently with the dog days of summer - but alas, Carly’s Wednesday hip hop ride was a God send! Banger playlist (that I’m tempted to Shazam mid class) - and Carly has such great and positive energy. Perfect midweek workout that doesn’t feel like a workout. Pumped to be back in routine at Cyclebar McCormick Ranch. Highly recommend.

“I cannot say enough great things about Samantha and Maya, my incredible spin instructors. They are truly amazing and uplifting, bringing so much energy to every class. Their positivity and encouragement are contagious, and they always seem to find the perfect words to motivate and inspire, no matter how tough the ride gets. Both Samantha and Maya have created an atmosphere that goes beyond just a workout – they’ve built a community that I’m so grateful to be a part of.
During a challenging time in my life, these two have been a constant source of strength. Their classes have not only helped me grow physically, but they’ve also been a huge boost to my mental well-being. I walk out of every session feeling accomplished and recharged, and it’s all thanks to their unwavering dedication. Samantha and Maya are truly a gift to the cycle community, and I’m forever thankful for the impact they’ve had on my life.”

This was actually my first time cycling (my better half convinced me to try it) and it was awesome. The staff are amazing and welcoming and despite it being my first time, they made me feel like I was a regular. The class itself was a lot of fun and Carly (the instructor) has a great music selection and was encouraging the whole time. She really gets you pumped to push yourself. Her instructions were clear and easy to follow.
If you are considering trying cycling for the first time or if you have been doing it for years, I can’t recommend this place enough!

Can I give this place 10 stars? Seriously! The new Stages bikes are amazing!! The staff are all super friendly, and the instructors make each class so much fun! I was burnt out on cycling outdoors and hadn’t been on a bike in years. I’m so glad I found this place! It is the most fun ever! Also, the facility is super clean… I mean CLEAN!! It’s a gorgeous facility, as it just underwent some remodeling. I signed up on the spot, and look forward to each and every ride. It’s also a great way to burn a whole bunch of calories without feeling like you had to put in the effort. Time flies in that studio, as do our legs. Thanks CycleBar McCormick Ranch! I love Cyclebar!!
After years of dragging myself to workouts I didn’t enjoy, I finally got over my fear of workout classes (I thought they were so intimidating!) and tried a Cyclebar class. I was addicted right away!
I feel immediately at home when I walk in the door, greeted with a smile by the girls at the front desk who learned my name remarkably fast and always seem happy to see me. When you go to your first class they leave personal touches to make you feel extra welcome, which is the kind of little detail that will keep you coming back.
Every single instructor I’ve taken a class from has been soooo encouraging, positive, motivating, and welcoming. I am already looking and feeling healthier after only a few months going to the studio regularly.
If you are on-the-go and have places to be after a class at any time of the day, there are showers with everything you need from shampoo, conditioner, body wash, razors, towels, and even deodorant and other personal care items you might need or forget to bring for yourself.
The recent studio updates are great, too! The bikes are very sturdy, and the whole place is clean and gorgeous! I haven’t looked yet, but I’m excited to check out the new merchandise :D
Cyclebar McCormick Ranch is a GREAT Cyclebar location, and I’m glad to call it my home studio, but it’s also so nice that the format is consistent from one location to the next. When I visit another state I look right away for the nearest Cyclebar location where I can get a great workout in while I’m there.
Love, love, love Cyclebar!! Your first class is free, so what’s stopping you? Give it a try!!

I recently had a disappointing experience with this studio. As a long time CycleBar member, I like to visit studios when I travel. I signed up approximately two hours before class to attend a free first class while visiting Scottsdale--there were at least 8-10 bikes available. When I arrived at this studio, the person at the front desk asked if I was local, and when I said no, she stated it would be $33.00 to ride in the class--$29.00 as a drop-in, and $4.00 for shoe rental. The website does not indicate a need to be local for a free first class. We did not stay for the class. As someone who will be visiting this area regularly, you have left me with a bad impression, and I will not attempt to visit this studio again.

I been going to the McCormick Ranch location for some time and had no issues with the bathrooms being clean. Having the ability to shower was a definite reason for me going. It wasn't until my last class attended which was a couple of weeks ago that I noticed the women bathroom was filthy. Someone had an accident and there was poop around the top of the toilet bowl. I typically take showers after attending a class but noticed showers stalls were dirty. The last stall had white gooey stuff with what looked like someone's weave. It looked as though the stalls haven't been cleaned at all and was afraid of getting foot fungus. For amount I pay, everything should be clean all the time. Possibly its time I discontinue my membership.

I think the instructors are great and the front desk staff is so sweet. Unfortunately as of recent the cleanliness of the facility has gone downhill, the bathrooms are anything but sanitary with no toilet paper, garbage bags in the can, dont event get me started on the showers. There are not wipes to clean the bikes and it doesn't look like the floor or bikes have been clean for some time. I think this is because the facility lacks a manager- hopefully this will turn around soon.

The location on Scottsdale and 101 is not reliable. You have to be careful with company’s like this who are struggling to stay afloat. I’m sure their instructors are overworked as they have to work the front desk as well since they don’t have a front desk receptionist. This location was extremely hard to find at first, when I tried to call phone wasn’t even connected and when I did finally find it only 2 min late to my class the doors were already locked and no one inside. Of course I will be charged for this but if they had the appropriate staffing and maybe a phone that worked I would have actually been early to my class.. anyways if you’re located in Phoenix go to the the underground instead. Much better company with excellent staff and better yet a phone to help you find the place!! 😊

The WORST cycle studio in the USA. They tried to make us pay for our first class which on their site they say first class is free. The music was awful, vibes terrible and the people super stuck up. They tried to make us pay for our first ride and realized they were wrong. They just want all the money they can get. Don’t ever go here. Waste of time and money. I can’t believe I ever went to a CycleBar. Very disappointing and owners should be ashamed of their staff.

I wish there was an option for zero stars. The one star can go towards the instructors that provide fun and challenging workouts, but everything else about this business is a joke. I signed up this summer on a promotion and was told that I would only owe one month of dues after the first months promotion. The only reason I did it was because I was 5 months pregnant and NOT looking for a long term membership for obvious reasons. Well it turns out I also was supposed to pay another 30 notice fee which is the equivalent of another months dues. I was never informed of this until I had already made the grave mistake of sharing my credit card info. It’s been months of the most obnoxious marketing, I seriously get texts and emails to join everyday even though they’re billing me for a membership I was lied and coerced into having. I tried reaching out resolve it multiple times, to no avail. Sent an email to management yesterday morning that was ignored and woke up this morning to a marketing text about how they miss me and I should book a ride followed by another $80 charge to my credit card. I’m disputing as fraud and literally never stepping foot in a cycle bar ever again. Try somewhere, ANYWHERE else unless you enjoy being lied to, stolen from and harassed.

These people play dirty. STRONGLY recommend going literally anywhere else if you want to get a workout in. They will do anything to keep your money and it is next to impossible to cancel. I went one time and signed up for the "discounted" package for first timers. Big mistake on my part. I am trying to cancel, thinking I could do it online. Nope- not possible, so I call thinking I can cancel it via phone. Again, wrong. You have to either physically go in person OR write a hand written note and mail it to them saying you want to cancel. I said out-loud "Is this a joke?". Very much a reality.
I was unimpressed with the class itself. Soul-cycle wanna be. Save your money and look elsewhere.

DO NOT waste your time or money!! Horrible company. The classes are dull and uneventful. I cancelled my membership during covid, when I was Extremely sick with covid. Gave proper notice, paid my last month, then they continued to charge my card. I sent the signed agreement to my bank and personal banker. my bank immediately disputed and filed it under fraud, they even said that many small businesses have been trying to rip off their clients during covid. They don't even know how to follow their own contracts. Also they harass me almost every week for additional money, or they claim they are going to take it to collections. Thankfully my banker has been amazing, and filed for both my credit report and bank to ensure they cannot scam my acct or credit. wow, I have so many memberships from Lifetime, Pilates, Red Light Therapy, Massages, and Float Spa. This is the only company I have ever had an issue with. I make sure to tell everyone I know to stay away from this place at all cost. What an obnoxious group of people. TERRIBLE!!

I didn't know anyone when I moved to Arizona and joined Cyclebar. I immediately found community at Cyclebar McCormick Ranch. Kelli, the manager, is one of the most INCREDIBLE people I have ever met. She helped me feel right at home in Arizona, and has always been accommodating whenever I have needed to freeze my membership, cancel a class last minute, etc. Many spin studios don't provide shoes, ear plugs, or emergency hair ties, but Cyclebar does at no additional cost. I've developed a personal relationship with many of the employees and instructors. I also have greatly benefitted from their student pricing. I would absolutely recommend Cyclebar McCormick Ranch to anyone considering a spin studio.

I called the front desk and spoke to someone (I believe her name is Kelly) to see if my membership could transfer to a different location. She assured me that I could cancel my membership and that I would receive a refund within a few business days. Instead, I have been dealing with the business now for 3 months because they will not cancel my membership. I have been charged over $450 in fees and I have not even visited their location ONE TIME. Now that Covid-19 has closed all gyms, I can not even get ahold of anyone! I will be bringing them to small claims court!

Horrible experience with cleanliness and horrible customer service. After several times to reach company I cancelled membership. Would never recommend.

I went as a drop in, as I was visiting the area for a weekend. The ride was fine. The part where they double billed my credit card, then credited my "account" and then charged me $155 for their error is less fine.
2/5/2020 edit--I've both texted and called the biller and sent numerous emails. The fact that the owner has no idea what's going on is disturbing.

The front desk guy Nick (?) is the interaction that stands out in my mind. He really goes above and beyond with the customers that come in. He greets everyone with a smile and asks how their day is going. If it's your first time, he makes sure to give you a rundown of the place and answer any questions you might have.
Being a newbie myself, he helped me get strapped in to the bike since clumsy me couldn't figure it out.
The class itself was also ok. The seat was a bit uncomfortable, but that has nothing to do with the studio but rather my own body just not being used to cycling. The instructor really tries hard to keep everyone motivated, and afterwards in the locker room- there's free fruit (bananas, etc).
Pretty good experience.

I have been going to the Cyclebar at McCormick Ranch, Scottsdale since it opened 2 1/2 years ago. It is a great workout with great instructors and super friendly and helpful front desk staff, but most importantly it's fun, that's what keeps me going back!

I have always said I "hated" cycling/spin, but CycleBar has totally changed that for me. The classes are so fun and I love that they allow their instructors to be who they are and don't censor them. It allows the riders to find the instructor who resonates with them the most, thus allowing a deeper connection and commitment to the class and the workout. I love all the instructors, but Amy's uncensored and raw approach to her classes really speaks to me and has become one of my favorites! I highly recommend new riders try taking classes with all of the instructors to see who they connect with best!

I had previously given this studio a solid five star rating, but recent experiences have motivated me to change my review. My husband and I took a class last week with a new instructor (Amy Peters) and were quite bothered by the number of "F" words and other profanities that managed to come out of her mouth during a 50 minute class. From complaining about how the recent hurricanes "ruined my trip to celebrate my f-ing divorce" (?? not very sensitive to complain about a vacation when thousands lost their homes), to talking about how f-ing wasted she got over the weekend, bragging about how her liver is ruined but she doesn't need it, and several other inappropriate references and innuendos during class-- the only impression we got of her was "trashy". This is NOT how a high end cycle studio should represent itself and I am quite disappointed that management allows behavior like this from instructors. I am now embarrassed to send friends and co-workers to this location for fear they will register for a class where language like this occurs. I have been spinning for 10+ years and have had plenty of amazing instructors that are able to motivate without making the language R-rated. We attempted to reach the manager with this concern but received no response.

I have worked out at this location a number of times. It is always a great work-out! Excellent music and instructors, keep the class very upbeat! It is allot of fun competing with the class, and viewing the rankings up on the scoreboard! You really go at your own pace, and can kick it up at any time! All of the staff take the time to check you in, ensure you are set on your bike properly. Jon's team is top notch, and as a fitness owner myself, I appreciate the details of a great studio, and this location rocks!

I had a great spin class at CycleBar with our instructor Holly. She was full of energy, and they played great music. I think there are about 50 or more bikes there, and they all have SPD pedals that require clip-in shoes to keep you steady and secured. They do provide them there, and you also get a locker. The facility has showers and the place is spotless. They just opened, so I wish them much success.
