My wife and I were looking for an activity for our 4-year-old son’s development in patients, confidence, listening skills, ability to work with others and more. Our little guy is now 6-years-old and this Karate Institute has done all of that and much more. As a parent, I am amazed at our son’s progress at home and at school. What he has learn in controlling himself in this class has transferred to home and in school. All of the instructors here are awesome. I was looking for a school to sign up my son and found Edward Chavez Kenpo Karate Institute in Google. I called and scheduled a meeting to meet with Mr. Chavez and I am glad we came because one meeting was more than enough for my husband and I to decide to sign up our son.
Mr. Chavez is not only a qualified instructor but a very well known person in the world of Martial Arts.
My son has been here for 2 months already and he is very happy and has learned so much in such a short period of time. It has a lot to do with the quality of instruction, the environment and the individual.

If you are looking for Karate in the west valley this place is it. I have known the instructor for over a decade and my son has been taking classes now for 3 years now. The instructor Mr. Chavez is amazing and great with all his students. He also encourages community and has a wonderful annual Christmas party for all the students and families. My son really admires and respects all the instructors that teach here and they are amazing mentors. My son has grown in his confidence and is learning the importance of respect and going for your goals and working hard to achieve them. I highly recommend this Kenpo Karate institute to anyone.

Master Chavez is amazing! He does great with all age groups. We’ve been with him for a while and all of my kids really love it here. He’s patient and gives everyone the attention they need whether the class is large or small. He’s very supportive and engaged. He has had an incredible, positive impact on my kids and helps to hold them accountable with their grades/behavior. I can’t recommend him enough!!

As a Black Belt from another martial arts school, I wanted to find a place for my son to go and learn structure and discipline. I taught him a few basics at home but was still missing the overall experience of going to a school. From the moment I stepped in I knew Master Chavez was great with kids. He truly has structure to his class and keeps them aligned. I can tell after starting his classes my son is starting to excel and is better behaved in school.
