I have been working with Seanmatthew as my personal trainer for the past four months. The guy is absolutely passionate about his work and based on the reviews I wanted to share my own experience working with him.

Seanmatthew’s knowledge is impeccable on the human body. He understands which muscles we want to work and activate when working a particular exercise and he makes sure you’re doing the proper form (or else the reps don’t count 😂). He definitely knows how to push you to failure but remains professional and personable at the same time, which is something that can’t be taught.

Seanmatthew js very accommodating and listens to what I want to work on. My focus is really on mobility and core. He gives me a great workout plan that I can do in the gym as well as when I’m on vacation. The guy even followed up with me while I was on vacation to ask how my trip is going and how my training is going . Even remembered it was my birthday at the same time!

When we schedule our progress checks, he is always so supportive and encouraging. My ultimate goal is weight loss and sometimes the scale doesn’t go down like I want it to go or as much as I’d like to. He always points out the positive aspect of the body scan such as gaining muscle and losing fat. That is ultimately the end goal and we make adjustments to my cardio. This seems to have worked this go around as my latest body scan was the best yet since starting this journey. The guy has been my biggest and loudest support and cheerleader. He’s definitely someone that who you want to help you with your fitness journey!. He is a true hidden gem!

Going to the gym used to feel intimidating, but Kayla completely changed that for me. From the moment she helped me with my form and encouraged me to try personal training, I’ve felt stronger, more confident, and genuinely excited to work out. Her energy is contagious! Shes always positive, encouraging, and full of motivation and she makes every session challenging yet fun. The gym is great. The only thing I'm against is the sales. I cant even take a guest because we have to sit down and listen to the sales personal harassing my guest to get them to sign up. They use manipulation and sales man techniques but in reality they only care about themselves and don't care a bit about the clients. It's all about the money. I'm not superficial like the majority of the people. That's why I see this guy's as a negative experience enough to rate a 2 star.

Great place to work out. It's always crowded compared to Planet Fitness. They have a great variety of free weights, machines and areas to workout depending on what your goals are. They offer classes, have cold plunge room, a pool/jacuzzi, saunas in both locker rooms, and even an outdoor area to workout. The price is worth it.

I only come to this location for my personal trainer Kayla. Don’t get me wrong, it is decent despite the awful parking, but I wouldn’t travel 30mins for a 1 hour workout normally but she’s worth it. Kayla is a Master Trainer and she has gotten me doing work outs I couldn’t do before due to pain and other limitations. She takes the time every session to make sure I’m not in pain, to celebrate our success (yes “OUR”, we do this together) and discuss goals. Kayla’s willingness to accommodate me makes me more willing to try things I don’t think I’ll like.

KAYLA, KAYLA, KAYLA IS ALL I HAVE TO SAY. Going to the gym was hard and scary to even try to attempt. But I did it and I felt out of place and like if I didnt know what I was doing. One day Kayla came up to my sister and I as we worked out, she then told us to do the rep again at the machine we were at. Kayla then took us to her desk and asked if we ever thought of getting a trainer to help us out, we looked at each other and said no, but talking more to Kayla we decided to try it. I promise you it has been one of the best decisions we have made. This girl has always made us feel safe and at home working out at the gym. I can never have a wrong question about a workout, or rep, or workout machine, she always always has a loving and understanding answer. Kayla is always on time, her energy is always up the roof, she is always positive and has the best outlook at everything. I also have to say Kayla can kill you in 30 minutes as she can kill you in 1 hour. EOS in not a gym without Kayla! Started going to the gym anxious and nervous not knowing where to start. Kayla approached us and offered to teach us. Its been the best decision training with Kayla. She is full of knowledge and has helped me better understand the exercises. She has always been punctual and has been very organized. I have noticed muscle gain along with losing inches and feel more confident walking in the gym. Overall I've noticed consistency and before training with Kayla, i lacked motivation and confidence. Kayla is one of the most hard working people I know. When I first met her I was scared and shy because I didn’t know what to expect, now me and her are like best friends and I can tell her anything. She helps me out so much when working out and I’ve seen results when I’m with her. She is so kind and sweet, very funny too. We have built a bond that is very special to me. I know she is there for me not just at the gym but for anything else as well. She trains you so good leaving you super sore but leaving good results! My favorite part about going to the gym is not just working out but being able to have Kayla with me and being able to see her. This is how everyone trainer should be. Eos Fitness is an amazing gym for anyone that is looking for an affordable membership and a motivating community. The memberships start at $9.99 which makes it budget friendly for students, working adults and seniors. Joining this gym has not only improved my physical health but my mental health as well. When you walk in the front desk staff always greets you with a smile, making you feel welcome. The trainers are motivating, patient and are always willing to help you if you are unsure how to use a machine. Eos offers a variety of ways to stay active like strength training, cardio machines, workout classes, cycling and yoga. They also offer pool, saunas, and recovery rooms which I enjoy after a long workout or on my rest days. One thing that stands out about this gym is how clean the machines, locker rooms and restrooms are. Since joining, I have more energy in the mornings and a positive mindset throughout my day. Overall, I highly recommend Eos for anyone that is searching for an affordable gym membership, motivating environment, and a place for the mind and body.

🚫EOS Fitness🚫

The gym itself is nice, and some locations have good amenities. However, I DO NOT RECOMMEND signing up with EOS Fitness.

I currently have a broken leg and decided to cancel my membership until I heal. When I tried to cancel, they told me I owed over $200 for a personal trainer, something I never requested, never used, and was never told about. Because of that supposed balance, they refused to cancel my membership.

Nowhere in my EOS app does it show any kind of $200 balance. The last time I tried to cancel, a manager told me I had only a $15 balance to clear. I understood that and decided to wait until my payday that Friday.

When I first signed up, I specifically asked for the basic membership with the option to bring a guest. The employee had me sign on an electronic pad for the membership and autopay, then took my $30 payment. Only after everything was done did he send me the contract, so I never saw what I was signing beforehand. I signed the electronic pad with the understanding that I was starting a membership and had the option to bring a friend and that they would be automatically drafting my monthly payments from my account. That was my understanding for signing a “contract” I just had to take his word for it. He never showed me anything on his computer screen (which he could’ve easily turned and showed me)

I was never informed that I’d be charged for a personal trainer or that it was a separate fee. I already have my own gym routine and never needed one. This “mystery balance” was only explained to me after I called corporate, since none of the employees in the gym could give me an answer.

Please be careful and don’t sign any contracts with EOS Fitness without reading everything first. They’ve been extremely shady and unhelpful in resolving this issue. This company is absolutely one of those that only care about the money and not their actual consumers that keep them rich.

September 8 at 10:34 I walked in the gym for my 7 day guest pass for the first time which the front desk guy was being biased and discriminated. I've showed video of the situation to other eos managers explaining they try to up sale me and didn't do the guest pass procedures right.

DO NOT SIGN A MEMBERSHIP!!!! Avoid this establishment at all costs. The equipment is subpar and is not maintained. The weights (dumbells and plates) are never in proper order. When you sign up, they create the appearance of a well-run and managed gym. I don't see how this gym cannot maintain the standards of a corporate gym, actually, I do know the lack of accountability and standards. They are just another global gym name that will fade away. There are many more gyms in Glendale. When you go to cancel, they hide behind their policies that are designed take advantage of consumers.

I would love to give 5 stars, but I have to give a 4 as it comes with some feedback.

First, the front desk here, 5 stars! Out of all of the greeting staff in the valley, this staff actually greets its guests! Specifically, I need to mention Sara as she is one of the friendliest greeters they have ever had. She's always bubbly and engages with conversation if she recognizes you. I honestly look forward to being greeted by her when I go in.

The equipment, 5 stars. There is a plethora of machines, squat racks, bench racks, outdoor equipment, dumbbell racks, yard (inside and out), and just open available space that it doesn't feel cramped. Also, pool, hot tub, sauna. As well, recovery room, cycle room, cinema, etc. - things I don't really use but are there. It's a massive location with a lot of amenities.

Cleaning/Crew, 4 stars. I wish the bathrooms were upkept better than they are, as well as the equipment being re-racked and put back into place. Just from observation I sometimes wonder if the team members walk through and do these cycles/rounds. As a fellow business owner, it shows when those details aren't being attended to. I finally saw them cleaning the bathrooms once on a weekend, but outside of that I don't see it happening. Maybe that's a good thing from a chosen time perspective, but otherwise it doesn't smell very good near the showers. For me, that means a lot.

I appreciate EOS and their growth as I do find their membership fee(s) affordable, and overall like the feel of their gyms. Hopefully this feedback is received well!

I'm only giving a 1 star review for this place because of the way I was misinformed about the charges I would be facing when I signed up. I was in town visiting for a couple of weeks. I tried to take advantage of a 7- day free trial. I walked into the gym on the July 10th to get it started, but I was told since I'm not an AZ resident, I couldn't get a free trial. So, I was instructed to sign up for a plan. The team member who I was talking to, told me that since I was leaving in a few days, all I had to do was come in and cancel and I wouldn't need to pay the annual fee. I walked in January 17th and had an appointment for a body scan, which was included. After the scan, they attempted to sign me up of a personal trainer, but I told them that I don't live in AZ and there isn't a gym close by, so it's no point in me signing up for it. I told them I didn't have the initial $50 fee to start it anyways. They asked if I knew anyone that could lend me the money. I told them maybe, but I'd have to make a few calls. Then they wanted me to call people at that very moment. I told them that I would have to come back the next day. They put a $50 hold on my account, but said it would disappear if I didn't pay it in a certain time frame. I walked in on the 18th to inform them that I would not be able to afford it because I found out my annual fee was $88. They offered to push it back a few months. I told them no thank you because I'm unemployed and am unable to afford it. I proceeded to cancel, but they still wanted the $88. I told them that I was told at sign up that I wouldn't have to worry about it since I wasn't there the whole month. The guy who signed me up wasn't there at the moment. They said that still had to pay it since I didn't cancel within 3 days. So, I couldn't wait for the guy to come in and I paid the fee. I also was charged $50 for the physical trainer add-on. I didn't even do a first session with them. I canceled that within 3 days, but I still had to pay $50. I tried avoiding putting all this on here because it's a really nice gym, but I've attempted to email the general manager. Apparently his email is full, so my email couldn't be sent. Then I submitted a complaint on the website, they still haven't responded. I'm very disappointed with how all of this was handled. I was given false information from the get go about the annual fee. I also received an email about my Personal Trainer session getting canceled at no charge, but I still got charged the $50. I was even told that were no cancelation fees from the get go. I felt i was lied to and took advantage of. I was only there for 8 days.

This gym, although the equipment is good, but their customer service is not friendly, they don't even have a lost and found! I see lost and found in any gym, but this one is weird! I forgot to take my bag of clean clothes in the women's locker room last night, and when I rushed to get here today, it was gone, so I asked the front desk if there was a lost and found, and she replied unfriendly "No! We threw it all away for you!" What? Is this how you treat customers?" I have never seen any gym treat customers so barbarically! Did they hate customers or they never get good education?

Very busy location.My only issue are the young ladies posing and taking videos and pictures of them selves in the mirror locker room very small couldn't change for fear of being exposed i. I love this gym and the trainers. They are very welcoming to new gym goers and allow for growth. My coach Liz allowed me to move at my own pace and I’ve learned how to control and maintain a healthy weight and a healthy diet, my other coach Jose has been incredibly patient and supportive of those days when I don’t feel I’m doing anything right he moves at a calm pace and allows me to feel comfortable. If anyone is starting their fitness journey or looking for a Pt I strongly recommend to look into Eos on 43rd and Glendale for the best service.

As a senior white female I found this 43rd Ave & Glendale location (only) unacceptable. The cameras were going almost nonstop in the locker/shower/bathroom area. Even at one point while two women dressed on both sides of a full length mirror, and with mirrors behind the photographer, one women took pictures for a long stretch of time. Speaking to the woman was a wasted effort. When I spoke to the front desk a manager intervened with an interpreter. Still the one woman kept taking pictures only now she told others in Spanish. Even more cameras clicked, with one of them strutting past me in an obvious attempt to intimidate me. The one photographer woman was taking pictures for around a half hour that I know of. I know of another senior white woman that had a similar experience with the picture taking, front desk AND intimidation. I would absolutely never recommend this location to my kids, grandkids, friends or strangers! Quite the opposite!

Be careful with this place, I do not recommend it. They do not treat you well, and they charge you surprise fees that they do not tell you. In addition, they tell you one thing and do another. When you ask about the additional charges, they do not give you an answer. In addition, they behave despotically with you, and when you want to cancel, cuz the way they behave with you makes them look stupid and does not help, especially Veronica Gomez and I just give them 1 star cuz I cant put zero

I’m really disappointed with how my experience with EōS Fitness personal training was handled at the 4355 W Glendale Ave location. I signed up for training and decided to cancel within the clearly stated three-business-day window. When I spoke with the manager, James Lewis, he told me I had to complete my first session before I could cancel—something that’s completely false and not supported by EōS’s own policy.

What made the whole situation worse was how James pressured me into signing up in the first place, even after I told him multiple times that I wasn’t interested. It felt like he completely ignored what I was saying and kept pushing the sale until I finally gave in. That kind of behavior is manipulative and makes members feel incredibly uncomfortable.

It honestly felt like I was being misled and pressured just to meet a quota. Thankfully, I did my own research, submitted my cancellation in writing, and made sure it was handled properly—but it should never be this difficult to get honest information and make a decision without being pushed.

If you’re thinking about signing up for personal training here, read the terms yourself and be cautious. I wouldn’t trust what you’re told face-to-face without verifying it first. The experience really made me question the ethics of this location.

Hola a todos ,buenos días ,aquellas personas que no hablan ni leen español este comentario es para ustedes y tenga cuidado de una experiencia que me paso en este lugar, yo hice en línea todo el proceso ,pagas un el mes pero también al mismo tiempo te cobran la membresía anual ,a diferencia de otros Gimnasio este te lo cobra de una vez aunque te retires antes oh solo vallas un día no te regresan el dinero de mantenimiento de maquinas que se paga una vez al año, osea pagué $137.00 en dos pagos los hacen uno el primer día qué te suscribes y el siguiente mes de pago te cobran el resto y en el contrato qué te hacen firmar tienen eso escrito, más es estrenada mente largo para leerlo en línea a manera que te desesperes y termines firmando y después pues suceden estas cosas ,solo les digo que tengo cuidado para que no les pasa igual que a mi por favor con cuido investiguen bien todo para que no terminen perdido su Dinero ...

This eos is one of the worst ones to many members eos should limit memberships mens locker room is always filthy hardly ever soap in dispensers people doing selfies by lockers even if you are changing also in front of sinks they don't care if you are using urinals I complained to staff as I walking out to gym floor said ok he'd check it out i watched to see he never did check it out instead went right to where desks are members do not rerack anything they use weather it is dumbells or plates they load up I will definitely be canceling my membership I'd rather pay more monthly than go to an overpacked filthy gym

Es la segunda vez que entreno, deje como sugerencia a unos de los chicos de la entrada que por favor coloquen avisos a los usuarios, que sean conscientes cuando estén entrenando en las máquinas como la Smith machine que solo hay Dos de esas máquinas , he esperado más de media hora para entrenar y la chicas que la están usando están más texteando que entrenando, eso lo podemos hacer cuando o hay más máquinas o no hay personas en línea esperando, como usuarios debemos ser empaticos y conscientes con los otros compañeros que están usando su tiempo para esperar
