TL;DR:
Staff blocked my sister’s guest pass without warning, pressured me into an $11 “temporary” membership, promised I could cancel and get refunded, then never refunded me and charged me $69.98 in fees despite not being an active member or having access to the gym. Predatory experience- avoid this gym.

I visited this gym for the first time last month with my sister, who pays extra every month specifically so she can bring guests for free. When we arrived, staff told us it was an “open house day,” so guest passes supposedly weren’t allowed — even though there were no signs anywhere indicating this, and they only mentioned it after separating us for individual tours.

I was then told I had three choices:
1. Sign up for an $11 membership on the spot
2. Pay $20 for a day pass, or
3. Ruin my sister’s workout and leave.
This gym is 45 minutes from my home, and I was only there for her, so I chose what seemed like the cheapest option. I was explicitly told by the employee (Will) that I could cancel as soon as I finished.
After the workout, I went to cancel. Will told me the membership was canceled, and the manager apologized, agreeing that my sister’s plan should have covered me as a guest. He promised a refund of the $11.
A month later, I’ve never received that refund — and now I’ve been charged $69.98 in “club fees.” I am not a member, I never completed setup, and I have no key card, no app access, and no way to even enter the gym. I was told the membership was canceled on day one.
This experience has felt deliberately misleading at every step. If you’re reading this, I’d strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere unless you want to deal with the same predatory practices.

Great gym! little too crowded during the day time for my taste but great at later evening times. The late night crew is very welcoming despite the late hours. My wife (Carrina) and I go to this Location M-F and occasionally on Saturdays and Every day We are greeted with smiles and outstanding customer service especially from Lori who goes over and beyond to answer any of our questions and making sure our accounts are squared away and makes us and our Daughter who goes to Kids club feel welcomed. The only “suggested” resolution, is to submit a form online for billing. Signed up for their family plan for the $1 sign up in April. Was charged membership fees 2 weeks later instead of the month later like I was told. Called to dispute it and was transferred to another person. She looked into it and seen the same thing and said I wasn’t supposed to be charged. Sent me to the assistant manager of the location and he told me I was supposed to be charged that they charge you after two weeks. I then told him I’ll need to cancel my personal training then since it made me negative in my account and I was in a different city needing my money for gas back home. He told me I would need to talk to the personal training manager and would have him call me back. I never received a call and was charged for more personal training. I then contacted the regional vice president since he was the one that signed me up, even though I kept telling him no but kept pressuring me to buy the service, and told me if I have any issues to email him personally. I never received anything back and continue to be charged. I have now been charged 3 times for personal training that I don’t receive or even hear from the personal trainer. I am now disputing the charges with my bank. The gym is nice but the service is a joke. Would rather go to planet fitness with lesser quality equipment than go to this overcharging, no customer service, only cares about sales gym. They put on a smile and pressure you to buy instead of worrying about their customers wants and needs.

Edit 1; After quite a long wait and another conversation with the management that seems to have led to nowhere weeks ago, I'll be dropping this review to a 1 star. After being an Eos Member for years and receiving what feels like absolutely no outcome at all feels extremely rough. Given I picked to deescalate being harassed over my own personal pain/injuries- there's now a part of me that is concerned to work out whenever I have a pain flare up. I feel as though I had no support or restitution, despite making the call to deescalate a situation and take it to management as opposed to any other option. I have to work extremely hard and precisely to maintain any semblance of the mobility I had before, and to feel like someone could steal that space to do so away at their discretion without support from the gym itself feels terrible.

I wish this had gone differently, or I had felt supported at all, but I did not. As much as I used to whole-heartedly recommend this gym, I now cannot if anyone has any sort of chronic pain or movement issues.

As much as I would like to say I adore this gym, and I used too, a warning to anyone with chronic pain or impaired movement: if someone on the work out floor decides you are using equipment improperly or too long for their liking, then bullies/harasses you off of it, the most you will get from the staff is polite platitudes and apologies. No consequence for the person treating you like dirt, and no tangible outcome other then your pain and being shrugged off.

To their credit, the staff I spoke too were incredibly kind and polite, and yet absolutely nothing came of the issue. I was simply harassed off equipment, and left holding the pain of my injuries as I was suddenly unable to do what my medical professionals had instructed me to do to work out. A shame really, I have been going here for years and really want to love this place as much as I did. Feeling like I have no support in the case of choosing to de-escalate an issue over forcing an altercation due to someone else's harassment of me feels pretty rough though.

The gym is clean, equipment is repaired quickly, and you can easily get your work out in even at busy times- if you can handle a couple minutes of wait. The turf area is well stocked, and there's even a neat outdoor area. Were it not for how bitter this issue left me, I'd be leaving a whole-hearted five star review. As it stands, this gym is an awesome place to work out- just not if someone else deigns that you don't deserve to use the equipment as well.

UPDATE: Ended up have issues with billing. Pretty much the same issues everyone else in these 1 star reviews talks about having.

Nobody is ever available to answer personal training account questions. They always tell you to "come back" or email. Then weeks go by and nobody answers your email. I even cc'd the email address in the response to this review and didn't get an answer.

When you ask for proof that your training account is actually closed they refuse to provide you with one. So how about an email? NOPE. You just have to trust their word of mouth. But they won't believe yours when you tell them you already put in your 30 days and made 12 payments when they only have record of 11.

Since word of mouth is the only proof they will give you that they actually closed your account then you just have to secretly video record them confirming the account is closed verbally as proof🤷‍♀️

I had to bring in my personal bank statements to prove to them I actually made my payment. The person who opened my account took the 1st payment on a different account in my name...closed it and then collected the other 11 payments on that new one so they thought I owed more when I didn't.

Also...if you wanna cancel correctly send in a signed 30 day cancellation notice via certified mail RETURN RECEIPT and keep ALL your emails and bank statements. It says this in the contract but nobody knows about it there...interesting....

Good thing I have experience in court services cause you'll need all the knowledge to get it done right!

I have been training at EOS since October and so far I am impressed. They're professional, friendly and actually care about your fitness journey.

The outdoor area is a great option to have. I haven't tried the pool yet but it's always clean. Evan has really helped me along the way when I had any concerns or questions regarding my training.

I'd highly recommend this location. They're clean, well maintained, friendly and everyone wears masks (even though I'd rather not I understand there isn't a choice so whatever review in here that says 'nobody wears masks' is a BIG LIAR! cause EVERYBODY is wearing one...unfortunately)

So far I haven't had any issues with my billing. Thank you EOS crew!🔥🙌👍
