Beware of EOS Fitness Scottsdale - Deceptive Business Practices
I'm writing this review to warn others about my terrible experience with EOS Fitness Scottsdale. I signed up for a membership, but what I got was a nightmare. They told me the membership would be $22/month with an $80 signup fee, but that's not the whole story. They pushed me into private training sessions, and now I'm stuck with a never-ending cycle of charges. $180 every two weeks, plus membership fees, and no gym access.

When I tried to cancel, they made it impossible. They claimed I had signed a contract, but I never agreed to anything like that. EOS Fitness Scottsdale seems to thrive on taking people's money, not on providing a service. I've lost $2000, and they're still going strong.

I've tried calling their billing department multiple times, but they just keep charging me. I've gone to the gym in person, but they refuse to cancel my membership. It's clear they have no intention of working with customers.

If you're considering joining EOS Fitness Scottsdale, don't. They'll take your money and run. I've learned my lesson the hard way. Find a different gym that actually cares about its customers.

The facility is absolutely beautiful. I really love the recovery room that has super comfortable massage chairs that help you relax after a tough workout. The group fitness classes are amazing too. New good gym in the area , I started going and switched from mountainside.
Quite spacious , new machines.
Customer service not good, I could not bring my 13 years old to workout here that would go with me because he is minor. But if I pay for him and make him a member he can come and workout , ok decided to get a membership for him , I told them teenager’s DOB but they changed the year to make him adult in the system ….and sell us membership, that didn’t seem right to me.

He would otherwise go with me as free guest to mountainside without an issue.

Their maintenance is too slow and if a machine is broke , won’t be fixed for a month or two. Sauna is a must for me after workout and their sauna is broken for over a month and not fixed yet. I guess I am switching back to mountainside.

Eos is my new favorite gym. Was a member at mountainside fitness for 15+ years since the location on FLW and 116th opened. Mountainside was always way too hot inside (when I would mention they’d say corporate controls the temps), had limited machines, and was half the size of this new EOS. EOS is perfectly cool inside. Has all the machines I need for all muscle groups. Has a dedicated room for relaxing with massage chairs and tons of smart equipment. A movie room for my cardio. Moved my whole family over to EOS and so far everyone is loving it.

Update. After a few months they seemed to have cut back on AC so it’s about the same as mountainside now. Gets pretty warm in the afternoon unfortunately when the gym is full. Still like the gym but cutting back on AC is a big issue when working out.

Very dissatisfied and disappointed with this gym. In order for any of your kids to come to the gym they have to have a membership. Ordinarily I would be fine with this. However, when I signed up they told me 16 and under need a membership, 16 and older can come as a guest. My son is a swimmer and has never come to the gym. Tonight, he wanted to try going to the gym with me. My daughter who is 14 (has a membership), son who is 17 and myself went to EOs. They would not let my son in. I explained what I was told and they said I was misinformed. I asked to buy a guest pass, they said no. Only way to get him in is to buy a membership.

I told me it’s because of liability reasons. So a 14 year old girl can come to the gym ALONE but my 17 year old son can’t come in as a guest?

I told them I would cancel and they said ok, what is your number and they were completely fine losing two members.

Back to Mountainside Fitness where I get guest passes each month to use as I want.

Worst gym experience of my life. Tried cancelling my membership unable to until I cancel my PT contract. Tried emailing they said I need a drs note due to my heart condition and 2 strokes I’ve had. [Deceptive Billing Practices and Broken Promises]

My husband and I were members of this EōS location for only four months, and in that short time they’ve overcharged us nearly $200 and we still haven’t received a refund.

1ST UNAUTHORIZED CHARGE - After noticing the first unauthorized charge, I went in and spoke with a manager who confirmed that a duplicate account had been accidentally created under my husband’s name. He assured me the duplicate account was deleted and I would be refunded during the next billing cycle. The next billing cycle came, but instead of a refund, I was charged extra again.

2ND UNAUTHORIZED CHARGE - My husband and I went back in together and spoke to another manager, who repeated the same story and told me it would be resolved on the next billing cycle. Once again, the following month came with no refund and yet another extra charge.

3RD UNAUTHORIZED CHARGE - My husband went in for a third visit and escalated to the district manager only to hear the exact same run-down with no resolution.

Looking at Google and Yelp reviews, I now see that we are far from the only customer experiencing this. We have since canceled our membership and no longer trust EōS with our money.

My advice: if you are considering EōS, watch your bank statements very closely.

I joined this gym when it first opened under a 30-day money-back guarantee. I submitted a cancellation request back in April, yet five months later I am still being charged every single month.

Each time I call, I’m told they don’t see any cancellation request on file. Eventually, they said they “put in another request,” but the billing never stopped. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this directly, nothing has changed. NO REFUNDS NO CANCELLATION ONLY NEW CHARGES ON MY CARD.

At this point, it feels impossible to actually cancel a membership here. The employee who originally signed me up has since left and even admitted the way memberships are handled is shady.

The manager at my location messed up my mom's personal trainer thing, they canceled it on her due to a glitch with the app and refused to allow her to continue her personal training at the discounted rate and the personal trainer manager Oscar said he would correct it and then 2 months later it didnt auto renew and he made her personal trainer tell her the bad news despite her trying to reach out to him multiple times. She got the discounted rate because she joined for the grand opening for this location and they had an option on the app which we were told wasn't meant to be there and she accidentally pressed it and it cancled the auto renew which should have never even been available to the public as it was removed. Oscar refused to reach out to corporate or help with the issue and let it expire and said there is nothing he could do now besides charge her the full rate. This is absolutely unprofessional and he refuses to take responsibility.

Our son found this new location and our family Sweat Squad has followed. We've loved it - worth every bit of extra drive time.

The gym is great and fantastic value, but this 5-Star review is for the front desk, particularly Jasmine and Nadine. I had a glitch accessing the cold plunge room, and it turned out I still had 2 accounts running. This was part of a larger account consolidation for our Squad that's been unresolved for months.

Nadine and Jasmine teamed up to figure out what was going on and took care of it. Quickly, politely, and with high ownership. Even a follow-up phone call to update me on progress. (I can't remember this level of service happening before with Eos, and it rarely happens anywhere. Top shelf!)

As this took a few minutes, I had the chance to observe another customer request help. There was a little more tension in that one, but the team again handled it expertly, with Nadine quickly understanding and addressing the exact pain points - and resolving.

I work with leaders in diverse industries, and Nadine stands out as a leader. Can-do attitude. Proactive. "Finds work." Enables team members. Positive attitude. High ownership and stewardship. Eos, if you're smart, you'll continue giving her more responsibility and invest in her career.

I want to share my very disappointing experience with EOS Fitness. During the sign-up process, the sales representative, Parker Hoff, misled me and my spouse about the terms of the membership. We were told several times that if we purchased the “Will Power Max Plan,” we would receive a VIP guest privilege, and that I, as the spouse, would be able to use this guest access to enter the club on my own. This was confirmed multiple times during the sales discussion.

However, on our very first day, the front desk staff denied me entry and explained that the VIP guest must always come in together with the member. This directly contradicted what we were promised. We felt deceived, wasted our time, and immediately canceled the membership at the club.

We reserve the right to escalate this matter further, as this experience caused us both financial loss and frustration. I strongly urge EOS Fitness management to review the sales practices being used, because no customer should go through this kind of misleading sales tactic.

I went to this location to have my girlfriend sign up, I was already a member but they told us to do a family plan with both of us instead for the same price. My only concern was being charged the anual fee again and I was assured I would not. Of course I was and they lied but I was also charged for my previous membership and the new family plan. I spoke with them and was told there would be no manager in for a week and that they would call. They did not. I went back and spoke with a manager and he said he placed a refund request and cancelation of my previous membership. He said I could expect the refund in a week, a week and a half later and no refund. So I am back for a FOURTH time just trying to get refunded for a charge I was lied to about and apparently the company is taking a company wide retreat so there will be no managers for a week. BTW apparently there is no way to get a phone number, email, business card or anything to someone higher up to complain to or have this addressed. Overall this EŌS location is a great gym. Staff are friendly, everything is kept very clean, really nice amenities and a good selection of weight and cardio equipment. I absolutely love the classes included with my membership, especially any class taught by Vikki. When we signed up at EOS, we were promised that both of our old memberships would be canceled and merged into a new family plan. Instead, they continued charging us for all the memberships. Avoid signing up in person—do it online if you must.
Don’t trust what the employees tell you. They’ll say anything to get you to sign up, then disappear when the billing problems start. Total scammy behavior.

The sales rep told us that because we were joining before it opened we would be charged $9.99 per month and there would be no registration fee since it wasn't open yet. Pretty nice gym. I was especially impressed that they have a GHD. I wasn't able to figure out the cost of the gym as it's not posted anywhere. It's like buying concert tickets, the pricing information is hidden until you put in all your personal and payment info. I still might join.

I’ve been coming to EOS for a while now, but I have to give a huge shoutout to Brian and the new stretch program he’s leading! Brian’s energy is always positive and welcoming he makes you feel seen, heard, and encouraged. The stretch session was a game changer for me and my girlfriend. It helped relieve tension we didn’t even realize we were holding, and we walked out feeling noticeably better.

You can tell Brian genuinely cares about helping people move and feel their best. He took the time to explain things clearly, adjust movements based on our needs, and bring a ton of passion to what he’s doing. If you’re looking for a way to improve mobility or recover from training, I’d 100% recommend checking out the stretch program.

this gymnasium is positively spiffing! There’s this one dashing fellow, Brandon, I presume he’s the overseer of this fine establishment, and he is simply a frightfully splendid chap. He dashed to my aid with all my queries and, would you believe, even escorted me to the whereabouts of some jolly fitness contraptions. This is, without a shadow of a doubt, a positively smashing gym, and I shall be popping back for what the young chaps call “a pump!”

This is a great location probably the best of all of them in the area since is the newest one. I’ve been coming here for around two months and I was starting to enjoy it because since it’s a new location, there’s not many people and the equipment it’s new it’s very clean. However they are starting to neglect the gym. The sauna never works they say that they are gonna fix it but they never do and it’s really bothering me because I am actually getting a membership more expensive than the normal one just because I wanna have access to the sauna since it’s a big part of my workout routine and the healing process. I talked to the Manager to ask what’s going on and ask how long the sauna not gonna be working, He doesn’t seem to know what’s going on and it’s really confusing and frustrating the fact that there’s always something not working in the gym it’s just so annoying. Just keep this in mind if you ever think about signing in this gym.

Another weird issue with this location is that sometimes you arrive and there’s nobody in the front desk, especially when you need to buy something or ask for a question other than that I don’t have any other issues. I think that if they commit to fix these two main issues this will be a really good location for me to have my workout routine . I really hope they fix these two issues.

Bad experience all around. Fraudulently bill you even if you cancel in the first 72 hours (illegal). Scheduled personal training sessions and the trainers did not show up for either session. Avoid this place. What a terrible experience.so disappointing.

I loooooove this gym!!! Everything is sooooo clean and the staff are all so friendly and helpful!! The front desk staff are just there ready to greet you and i just love all the extra amenities and the fact that they have so many massage chairs and you don’t have to wait forever after your workout to chillax! I havnt tried the jacuzzi or polar plunge yet but my nephew literally spends hours in there! I’m pretty basic when it comes to working out but the elliptical has my heart!!!! 💗 All of the workout machines are the latest and greatest equipment! A lot of the equipment connects with your phone or you can charge your phone while working out on some and i even saw young man playing an electronic game of chess ♟️ on the excercise bike!!!! You can pick outdoor scenes on your screen to work out through if you want as well! Shoutout to Brandon, the operations manager at this location. He is so friendly and keeps a positive vibe while maintaining a professional and efficient atmosphere! I highly recommend this gym! The only thing that could make it better is someone bringing me an iced latte to the massage chair!!!! Keep it up Via Linda!!!! 🙌🏽 👊

This gym engages in deceptive tactics to trap members in contracts. Cancellation is intentionally made difficult, with staff constantly redirecting responsibility and refusing to take action. Members are given the runaround, and charges continue even after cancellation requests are made.

These practices are not just unprofessional — they are unethical. The gym relies on confusion and delay to hold onto payments rather than honoring clear requests to cancel.

Prospective members should approach with extreme caution. This is not a place that values honesty or respects its clients.

Literally amazing and super affordable. Movie theatre room, great fitness classes, cold plunge, infrared sauna… you name it, they have it!! Left planet fitness for them and it’s been SO worth it!

I got billed even though I never used their services! I canceled the first day I signed up at EoS and didn't use anything. Several employees said I had 30 risk-free days and could cancel anytime, so I canceled day one—that's within 30 days! But management said the employees were wrong; my contract needs 30 days' notice. Apparently, canceling before starting isn't within the first 30 days, even though EoS staff gave incorrect information. It's a win-win for them.

BEAUTIFUL GYM, STAFF TRIED TO SCAM ME. As a regular gym user my entire live and I have never had a issue with the staff like I did today in fact I love to engage and get to know the staff and become friends that’s the type of guy I am. But today I brought in a guest and this gentleman did not let me use my guess pass I have the top tier I believe it’s called Will Power so I take advantage and bring a guest quite often as that is the main reason I decided to upgrade my membership. So he denied the guest pass then another gentleman called us over and said this is your lucky offer and someone who is lied to for a living the hair on my neck stood up. So we went over and he WANTED TO CHARGE ME TO BRING MY GUEST IN and I told him no that’s completely Bull 🐂 Ship 🚢. And that’s why I pay for the Top Tier membership. Look it’s a beautiful gym and I have been working out with Eos for a while now and this is by far my favorite location but get it together. If they don’t make this right I am considering switching gyms and the $22 he wanted to charge me is going to be more than a $22 long term loss for the company. So I hope someone reaches out as I believe in honest feedback and I want to make sure this doesn’t happen again
