Itβs actually surprising it didnβt happen sooner with the employees and managers that sat around on their phones while making excuses why thereβs no kidβs club because they donβt have enough staff. Clean facility, but terrible management. Overheard the employee βdaltonβ or βDaytonβ instructing the other employees to create fake sign up accounts with βfake numbersβ to boost their conversion numbers. He was very snippy with them and it just made me very uncomfortable as I was in the general vicinity. What would happen if they incorrectly but actually inputted someoneβs number and they continue to get charged? It just all seems shady and off-putting.

LIFTERS NOT WELCOME. My husband and I were told by the GM today that we could no longer have our "large" gym bags on the floor/in workout areas that only "small drawstring" bags would be allowed. The reason, for "safety" of other members. We explained the necessary items for our weightlifting: belts, straps, wraps, powder, pulley attachments, and pads would not fit in a smaller bag. No solution was offered other than finding a new gym.

Extremely disappointed in the way the Queen Creek Esporta management is handling my escalation. Signed up for a trainer in October. I am now told what was told to me, was a complete lie. Come to find out the salesmen had BLATANTLY lied to MULTIPLE customers in order to close sales. The kicker is the establishment is AWARE of the lies and because of this, the salesman was FIRED for those actions. Management is telling me there is NOTHING THEY CAN DO TO HELP ME even though they know I was lied to straight to my face. Absolutely ridiculous. Had multiple employees laugh at me when they saw the salesman who helped me, stating, βYeah he did this to a lot of people. Youβre not the only one.β I manage a sales store and if any of my employees lied, I would I do right by my buying customer. I have been told different managers would call me but I keep having to call int I follow up. As of today, Ashley told me my only options are to pay for a service I was lied to about OR cancel and pay close to $800 and not be able to use any training sessions. What an absolute joke.

No frills workout spot with all the equipment you need and plenty of the hilarious people watching drama you're accustomed to in a public place. But, running out of reasons to go to this gym... The restroom is almost always closed during my workout time.

This gym is horrible. I recently had to change gyms because it was annoying being there. Iβve been a member at esporta for 3+ years. I started at the Tempe location and I loved that gym. The people there were amazing and very helpful. I had to start going to this gym because of moving cities. This gym is terrible. Nobody wipes down the equipment and thereβs never any paper towels close by the equipment anymore. There are so many teenagers and younger adults that go to this gym too and very judgemental. I caught two teenagers or younger adults taking pictures of me, laughing while doing exercises. I also tried playing basketball and almost got into a fight with one of their employees. I donβt recommend going here. Iβm trying an esporta nearby once more and then Iβm canceling.

Loved the racquetball courts, pool, treadmills, bikes... I don't envision not being able to meet my goals. And with so many options, not wasting time waiting for my turn on the machine

This was an ok location, but they've cancelled their kids care permanently and with very little warning. This effectively eliminates my gym membership here, so now I get to go through the long and extremely difficult process of cancelling. "You can go to a different location, Gilbert still has kids care."
That's great, thanks, my membership is literally only for this club, but I'll drive way further and see if they still have a kids care and can transfer my membership there.

I always liked the gym and the staff and managers are friendly. The gym used to be open 24hrs a day before COVID-19. It was nice with my hectic schedule. Currently they have no plans to return to a 24hr gym so I had to cancel my membership.

Donβt schedule building maintenance during operating hours. If you must, make sure they are in compliance with safety procedures. Donβt just pick some cheap family business.
The staff at this site is useless and late at opening. The gym is decent and the regulars are good people.
Update after about two years:
Only one good employee. The staff keeps losing the key or the door won't open. Still late opening. New management says they will fix it but so far all they offer is excuses about being new and meaningless apologies.
Just go to 24 hours. Then you can staff whomever you want.

Buyer beware. Same story different name. I signed up for the kids club so we could take our grandchildren one time while they were in our care. We were assured we could cancel at anytime and not have to pay for the childcare for any other months. When I called this location to cancel, I was told that I had to submit an email through the app, which I did and included every email address to insure that the correct person received my notice. The next time I went into the gym, I confirmed that the childcare had been turned off on my account and that I wouldn't be charged moving forward. It was confirmed as completed so I didn't think about it again. This was in November. I was charge continuously through February. When I realized this I called back the gym and again was told that I hadn't been charged. Since it was on my credit card statement I knew that was incorrect and had to call the corporate number. I was told that I had to cancel in person which was the opposite of what the local gym told me I was able to do. The lady at the corporate office told me that I had used the childcare recently which I assured her I had only ever brought my grandchildren in on one occasion and so that was incorrect information. She also said she was unable to refund any of the previous months. Since I had an email showing a request to cancel, I told her I would dispute it with my CC. She then agreed to refund 3 of the 4 months of over charges. Watch your credit card closely if you ever try to cancel your membership. They are no different than LA Fitness when it comes to canceling your membership and will continue to charge you as long as they can get away with it.

Esporta/La Fitness run a scam where if you try to cancel, you have to do it by paper, which they just pretend not to get, keep charging you, and then AMEX for example doesn't block recurring charges and they follow you to new cards. Amazing. Esporta robbed me, and will rob you too.

Clean place, thereβs always paper and sanitizer to wipe down machinery. Programs such as Zumba, yoga, silver sneakers, boxing, etc are offered. Equipment works non of them are broken down and thereβs plenty for everyone specially during the week. Basketball court and pool are in the facility. Lockers are available in the changing area or outside. Good gym overall

Manager got really upset with us for not signing guests in after other employees told us we didnβt need to because we already had provided them with our information several times.
She was pretty rude and condescending to us, but then my group went without me a few days later and the same manager told them they didnβt need to sign guests in.
The equipment is fine , but nothing special.

I want to like this gym, but being a member here is like being in a toxic relationship with someone you don't like.
Been a member for 12 years. In those 12 years, it's always been kind of a fairly mediocre gym - not ever bad, but not stand out good. Well let me tell you, that changed with COVID.
Before 2020, I'd make a trip to the gym and be in & out with little to no issues. Machine selection wasn't exactly plentiful, but it worked. Equipment was old, but at least it was serviceable and there was enough to go around.
Fast forward to today, and it's like the gym went into major identity crisis mode... (August 2021)
- Key gym equipment (example - one of only 3 Smith/Klein machines) is ROUTINELY "under maintenance" or completely broken for extended durations of time (weeks/months)
- Facility has occasional issues with trash on the floor (bottles/paper towels) kinda just left behind
- There is no "good time" to go, the club is constantly packed as apparently there is no cap on membership numbers
- Plates left on machines/not re-racked/left on floor
- Extremely limited quantity of cable machine attachments
- Cable attachments not in any centralized/discernable location, generally strewn all over the gym on the floor
- General lack of equipment for member volume
- General lack of gym etiquette; members using more than 1 station/machine at a time (In my 20+ years of gym membership, this one is new to me, maybe it's a Californian thing?)
- Dirty restrooms
I suppose I could go on, but any serious gym user will have already gotten the point and I don't want to preach on about the negatives. The staff here has always been great, but there is something deeply wrong with this place. it's not my "Zen" spot for me to go to to de-stress anymore. Maybe it's just society. Either way, I'm going to look to greener pastures, this gym isn't somewhere I want to spend my precious daily gym hours any longer when there are far better options nearby.

This gym is a good vibe for those whom wanna feel like they have a little gym freedom. The cardio is separated upstairs, there are classes, sauna and pool. I've already has eos and planet fitness. And they both aren't bad gyms however the atmosphere at esporta is awesome!! The trainers are constantly either working out so you can watch their form or walking around so you can ask them questions. The daycare is great, having it for so cheap is literally changing my life. I was not a "gym gym person" I joined this one and have been going 6 days a week. I am now obsessed with it. I love it here. Only thing I'd change is it to be 24 hrs again. Other then that, I really love this gym!

Longtime member(since this gym opened). This used to be a 4-5 star gym. When they changed over from LA Fitness to ESporta, everything pretty much went out the window. They never notified members of new pricing, or offered them the option to change to one of the new plans. When I spoke to one of the "sales associates", he came off like a slimy used-car salesman, was unsympathetic, and dismissive. I emailed customer service 3 times before I got a reply, which amounted to "you'll have to deal with the local team". The folks at the front desk are awesome, but the changes to the facility, the COVID policies they've instituted, and their pricing structure/sales team are trash. Begrudgingly, I have cancelled my membership & moved to Planet Fitness...and I can tell you I am not the only one. I'll be surprised if this place makes it through the end of 2021. Such a shame...

Itβs awful how the pandemic has effected this gym. HALF the machines are turned off, so good luck getting on the stepper and forget about weekends unless you go early early. They will never stop harassing you about masks. I will literally be running 8 miles per hour for miles and have the S##T scared out of me by someone telling me to cover my nose. Respectfully, I distance myself in the farthest corner, away from as many people as possible and I always clean the machines before and after use, religiously.
I have a membership at mountain side fitness, but come here with my boyfriend as his guest because itβs close to his house. I highly suggest spending the extra $10 at mountain side where everyone seems to understand good business ethic. The $10 really does earn you a little more respect from the employees. I workout everyday, and Iβve never had one single issue there.

Esporta as a company needs some serious help. Wrote them an email in May and July. As of November 22, I have never gotten a response back. It was the email that was linked to their app so I know I have the right one. I understand it taking a while because of the shutdown. But you would think they would at least have someone who is able to respond to emails. And the gym has been back open for a while now so there is really no excuse. Save yourself the headache and find a different gym.

I signed up for 6 months of group training back in February. The past 6 months due to complications to the pandemic group classes were either unavailable or unsafe to attend. The other main reason i signed up for late night gym access has also been taken away due to the pandemic. I basically have paid hundreds for a membership that was unsafe or unavailable to use. I have since moved away from the area before they reopened and have tried contacting them for a refund by email and have been unsuccessful for the last month.

This gym is the best gym Iβve been to in awhile, the GM Trevor Is amazing he cares a lot about his members.. he goes above and beyond for his members. I was Looking to get a membership and was really hesitant because EOS just charged me all these fees, so i really has my radar up. But when i showed up Trevor made me feel like he was actually there to help me and not just care about the sale. I tried the gym that day and signed up right after. Iβll definitely will be telling all my friends and family about this gym for sure. Thank you Esporta!!

I went in with the intention of joining this gym and was extremely disappointed after walking around and decided not to join. I understand everything opening back up are trying to get back in the swing of things but you would think that a gym would attempt to have discounts or waive initiation fees. Not this one. $50 to 100 dollar initiation fee? The pool was in the process of draining so that wasnβt open. Neither was the whirl pool. My biggest concern were no machines were moved to help with social distancing and they had no spray in site to clean machines after each persons use. I literally walked by one machine right after someone stood up from using it and all I saw on the seat was sweaty butt marks. If thatβs not spreading bacteria , I donβt know what is. Word of advice. you definitely need a new floor plan to spread your machines out. Put up cleaning stations near machines that has spray disinfectant and paper towels. So when people are done using it. They can clean it for the next person. The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one, was because the gentleman at the front doors finally looked up and said would you like a tour or would you like to walk around yourself?

Terrible customer service. I got charged 180 dollars for a personal trainer, when it was supposed to be 80 for the first month. After explaining my situation I got a call stating that I was going to be refunded the 180 and the only thing that I needed was to pay 80
Dollars and do a new contract. After paying the 80 dollars. I was advised that something happened and I needed to re run my card again and charge another 80 dollars. I explain to the manager I have 180 and 80 dollars pending and that I was not going to re run my card again. Today I called my bank and ask if there was a refund pending and they stated no. So now I started a disputed. Which my Bank refunded me the money pending the outcome and block any further transactions for ESPORTA. Love the trainer however managed sucks

Great hours. A lot of choices in equipment and free weights, overall a great atmosphere. The equipment is slightly more worn than other LA locations in the East valley, however nothing that can't be overlook as it's a gym and eventually happens overtime. All of the machines are maintained and it's in a great location.

They recently made upgrades & made the gym even nicer! It's 2-story, round, open floor plan is really great!
But, the real reason I continue to go is for their classes! Janie is one of my favorite instructors & she's a bright ray of sunshine! She teaches Zumba, but has a real passion for DANCE! She's always trying new routines & plays some of the BEST POP music out now! She even stays after class to practice & is open to feedback from all of us! I really appreciate her, as do many of the others in her classes! So, if you want to workout & have some fun, check out some of her classes! (She also teaches at Signal Butte club in Mesa)

2020 BEST GYM AWARD
Personal training has completely changed the game here. They have converted into Esporta which is more based around personal training. They put in $200,000 worth (my estimate) of new training equipment for those who have training that consists of turf area and any functional training exercise equipment you can possibly think of! The trainers are very knowledgeable as well and have their certification through NASM and are nice and friendly with helping you meet you fitness goals. Also when i signed up for training they didnβt have me pay an enrollment fee like other gyms do. And get this! It was $100 off my first month! Did a guest pass with a friend for months no issues, decided it was time I find my own gym. Joined eos, then did a week trial with a different friend at a different la fitness, now they won't stop calling me even though I told them I'm committed to my current gym, contract and everything!

Maureen D. The manager at this LA fitness is the most rude and disrespectful person I have ever been in contact with. She doesnβt care about anyone but herself and I will be contacting her supervisor Tom Velaro. I would like a call from her with a 3 way and have her apologize to me in front of someone so itβs not rude like the last time. Sheβs not a nice person!!!! You just canβt be going around being rude and disrespectful to anyone because of your job title! I hope she has a great day and her day goes better then it was when I called. She seemed stressed maybe she needs a few days off to help reset. Sometimes stress can make a person be something there not and I hope thatβs the case! Thank you!

DONT sign up for the personal fitness. NO MATTER WHAT! You will be trapped in a contract that you cannot cancel without losing your sessions and they ARE EXPENSIVE. Then they promise you a bunch of stuff, make you sign a contract that is super long which of course you won't read, then promise, promise, promise...until you go to cancel, then you LOSE unused sessions even after they promise you you have 30 days to use them. Then they give 100 excuses telling you the people that promised you that you would not lose your sessions were "front desk" and gave you "wrong information" and the location manager "gave wrong information" SHORT STORY: STAY AWAY!!!!!!! Dont sign anything. Dont listen to what they are saying.

1) Cleanliness- extremely dirty all the time. Dirt, dust, and hair all over the floor and at the bottoms of equipment. I wouldnβt be caught showering or using the sauna there.
2) Staff- overall not that friendly or helpful. But one front desk person is exceptionally rude and he happens to be there almost every day during peak hours.
3) Equipment- Moderate condition, not the greatest. If something is broken it is a long while before it is fixed. Also there really isnβt enough space for free weight lifting. No power racks. Finally, I donβt know if it is just the culture or the staff or just the people who go here, but NO ONE puts their weights away where they go. Itβs always a scramble trying to find what you need.
4) Only reason Iβm giving 2 stars is because the spin class instructors are great. Iβll miss them when I leave (canceled my membership).

This place is dirtier and dirtier lately. Roaches (both dead and alive), hair/dust bunnies underneath equipment (dont exhale towards the ground, as you'll blow up nice a cloud of goodies). The new ADA water fountain has been showing red for the filter status for weeks. Dried blood on the barbell. For a commercial gym this isn't a good look.
Place has gone downhill hard on cleanliness.

I love this gym. They have an indoor pool and sauna. They also have yoga, cycling and fitness classes. Thereβs a smoothie cafe when youβre done with your workout and racquetball equipment. There are 5 racquetball courts and plenty of great competition. Highly recommend this fitness club.

I'm pretty upset to say the least. We took the whole family to go work out.
We dropped the 3 youngest at the KidsClub on the way in. When we went to collect them on our way out, we saw a random 10-11 year old girl holding our 5 month old baby inside the KidsClub..
The blonde lady at the desk wasn't paying attention as she was playing games on the computer. The other lady saw us walk in and then grabbed our 5 month old from the older girl.
I was pretty upset but decided to wait until I got home to call and speak with a manager. The guy I got on the phone told me there was no manager on staff for the night. When I told him what happened he tells me he needs to go ask the KidsClub girls if this really happened. He comes back and says "Man.. it was no problem. It was only for 5 seconds or so they say". I said I'm sure it was longer than 5 seconds as the girl in there was sitting at her computer playing games. He tells me "dude... I'm not sure that really happened". I lost my temper, cussed him out and then hung up.
At this point, I'm livid.

Pretty standard gym. Not impressive in any way but where they shine is when you want to cancel. So pretty much anyone can sign you up at any time in the day but if you want to cancel, oh cancel you will not. So only one person can cancel your membership in the entire staff, ONE person. That person sticks to the adherent schedule of 9-5 Monday through Friday, so good luck cancelling if you are a working class human. Call them you say? NO, NO...they cannot cancel by phone. You have to come in and speak with them in person. I'm sure there is a whole subculture of degenerates calling and cancelling peoples gym memberships so i completely understand this but the blatant attempt to make it as difficult as possible to cancel is Bush League at best. Thank you LA fitness for always re upholstering half of the gym equipment at the same time and leaving some of my favorite machines broken for weeks at a time. Thank you for making it so easy to sign up and so easy for you to collect your monthly dues but making it a blood sacrifice to cancel a membership. I would rather work out for free in prison then ever work out in a LA fitness again.

HORRIBLE!! Horrible front desk employee named AMBER BELLS!! She should NEVER be in customer service interacting with customers. All I can say is WOW! This is by far the worst experience we have had at this gym. She yelled at my husband who is in his 60s and disable "WE'RE CLOSED!!. It was 7 minutes to closing time, several people still working out & several still in the locker rooms. My husband acknowledge her and kindly said thank you I have one last set and then I'm leaving. she then walked around came up to his face in the middle of his set and yelled again "YOU NEED TO STOP NOW!! (Still was a few minutes before closing) several others witnessed her behavior and were disgusted. I (wife) came up to the counter and told her that is no way to treat people, She then yelled at me "I DON'T GET PAID HERE For Overtime" I told her my husband is disabled he can't move very well he cant even drive.. she said "I DON'T CARE! She kept screaming at us as we walked out the door she followed us out half way to our car yelling "go ahead and email my boss I don't care". She kept dishing out so much hate and yelling non-stop!!! WOW needless to say we officially left 5 minutes over closing time because of her non stop yelling and arguing with us. We hope LA Fitness disciplines her ASAP! This would be in there best interest.
(Even the other night employee that was there, witnessed her raising her hands up in the air screaming at us. He is a great calm guy with excellent customer service skills, he was towards the back of the gym but did witness the end of her yelling rage and witnessed her following us outside where she kept yelling at us.)
