I have recently taken Joy's Chair Yoga, Strength and Balance and Tai Chi Movements classes at The Center on Rosser to keep myself moving as I have experienced back issues for the past year. While I have gone to a chiropractor and done physical therapy in an effort to relieve the pain during that time, I found myself exhibiting poor posture, shuffling, very little pain relief and a general shift from being perky and vibrant to feeling old and decrepit . I am happy to say that, while I am not pain free, since taking Joy's classes, I feel better, my posture has improved, I'm not shuffling and, to some extent, my pain has decreased. Thank

When a new exercise is introduced she explains how to do it and also what the benefits are. Joy designed our routine after learning what our goals were. Having had many serious injuries in my lifetime, including a broken back and neck, Joy carefully tailored my program to maximize my fitness while preventing re-injury. Since I started training with Joy I have seen great strides in my physical fitness. She doesn't approach workouts with a cookie cutter "one size fits all" mentality but takes time to get to know you and what your goals are.
