Updated Review: I did get an immediate response from management about my wish to drop classes. I did have an issue with the sign-up and registration process for the summer camps. My son is high energy and high needs. I signed him up for several days of the ninja camp this summer. Unfortunately, it did not work out for him. After day 2, he was crying, and it was just a little too overwhelming. He was also being bullied by one of the other kids.
I was surprised to find out that this gym has a no-refunds policy for all camps, even if you try to cancel ahead of time. I had to call to register for the camps, and I was charged the full price for three weeks of camp, even though we only needed two days a week. They did correct this billing error, but when I informed them that my son would no longer be attending the camps, they said they had a no-refunds policy.
I went back and saw that this was in the original email we got when we signed up for classes months ago, but the staff never mentioned this to me when I registered for camp over the phone. The no-refunds policy is also not on the camps page of Flex Gymnastics, it's only after they charge your credit card that you'll get an email about this policy.
I also had some confusion over whether the regular classes were going on in the summer. Their website AI has some issues that they really should clear up, because it gave me the mistaken impression that they did not have regular classes running alongside the summer camps.
Make sure you talk to the front desk about all your concerns. I can't promise that they'll accomodate you, but at least you won't be surprised like I was.
My son attended classes here for the past six months. At the regular gymnastics classes for Pre-K, he used to have the same coach but for the past few months, there have been different coaches every time. Today, there were two young coaches that spent more time socializing with each other than helping the students with form or skills. I understand it's summer and it's hard to find reliable staff, but it just rubbed me the wrong way. My son really needs extra help learning new skills. This gym may work out well if your kid is independent, but mine has different needs and this gym just didn't work out for our family. We are signed up to try a different gym when school starts.
Overall, I would say this gym may be a good option for a competition team. It wasn't the right vibe for my family and our high energy, high needs preschooler. Keep in mind that there is no option to pause classes and the portal needs some work. The login portal isn't even available on the main set of links. I also think the customer service needs a brush up because they were very dismissive about my valid concerns.

I’m disappointed to have to write this review. My son was a first-year member of the boys’ gymnastics team at Flex, which is still a small and developing program. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations, primarily due to concerns with the coaching.
The team is led by a teenage coach who, while likely well-intentioned, lacks the maturity and leadership skills necessary to effectively guide young athletes. My son repeatedly asked for support and instruction but was often met with indifference or a lack of follow-through. Additionally, the coach’s interactions with the boys—many of whom are only a few years younger than him—often fell short of what’s expected from someone in an instructor role.
When we articulated our decision to transition to another gym, the situation worsened. The coach’s comments became personal and unprofessional, leaving my son feeling embarrassed and hurt. We brought these concerns to the attention of the owner, but they were dismissed with a comment that the coach was “trained that way,” offering little acknowledgment of the impact on our child or any indication of change.
Youth sports should foster growth, confidence, and character under the guidance of trusted mentors. Unfortunately, that standard is not being upheld in the boys’ program at Flex Gymnastics, and the lack of accountability from leadership is troubling.

Our experience at Flex started out fine but ended on a disappointing note after three years. Upon moving to a different class, my child was placed with a coach who was consistently rude, disrespectful, and carried a negative attitude. The tipping point came when this coach spoke to my child in an unacceptable manner.
I attempted to address the issue with the front desk, who assured me that the manager would follow up. Katie, the manager, did reach out but only to offer alternative time slots for classes. Unfortunately, the core issue—how my child was treated—was never acknowledged or resolved.
Hoping for a better response, I emailed higher management on 1/08/25. As of today (1/21), my email has gone unanswered and unacknowledged. This lack of accountability and communication from the staff and management is deeply disappointing.
I cannot recommend Flex to other parents. The coaches seem to dislike their jobs and project that negativity onto the children. If you’re considering this facility, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for a more positive and supportive environment.

One of the coaches was extremely rude to my niece. A grown woman being rude to an 8 year old child is just unbelievable. I highly do not recommend bringing your child here. I don’t know her name but she does classes Mondays at 3pm and I hope she loses her job so she no longer has the chance to be mean to these children.

We really wanted our kids to go here. We enrolled our daughter in gymnastics and son in ninja class. They both loved the classes and their instructors.
Unfortunately, the third session in, the ninja instructor left without warning. Our son, who is on the spectrum was very upset by this. The new instructor was female and for his own reasons, he was uncomfortable with this. We brought him to one more session the following weekend to see if he would warm up to it, but he was not interested in participating anymore.
When we went to the front desk to cancel our remaining sessions, two women in their fifties assisted me and they were entirely inappropriate. They asked why I was cancelling the remaining classes, I explained that my son was having trouble transitioning to a new coach, and also that she was a female coach. Their response was that if he can't handle that, he's going to have a really hard time in life. Wow, wildl inappropriate statement #1. I am perfectly aware of the difficulties that my autistic child faces, thank you very much!
Next, they asked why I was cancelling my daughter's classes too. I explained that my time is limited, and that I can't balance both kids doing different activities right now. Her response was to tell me that when her kids were younger that she worked 20 hours a weekand was able to manage just fine. Judgemental much? I regularly work 60 hours a week as a director at a Fortune 500 company, managing thousands of employees. If I say I don't have the time, I don't. I really don't care to have you judge my son and I. If I want to cancel, you should respect that. We didn't ask for special treatment, nor did we expect it. But to be disrespected this way is unacceptable.
Given the attitudes of these women, I would not recommend this place in the slightest, especially given their attitude about special needs children. To whoever owns this establishment, I strongly urge you to provide customer service training to these women. If they talked this way to me, I have no doubt that they are talking this way to others as well.

Flex gymnastics is a amazing place, however they will allow billing as my daughter experienced and give many excuses. Be careful not to ever blame them dfor head luce either for the owner is very difficult and defensive upon any blame and accountability. But bullied and favoritism is here.

It's too bad that, along with gymnastics, they teach favoritism, and ignore obvious signs of bullying...

We’ve been to three gyms over the years with my girls. This one has by far been the most comfortable for the kids. There’s no pressure on them (my kids are young). But they’re learning a lot and seems like they’d be ready for team if they want to go that direction.

I searched for a class for my 3 year old son that would let him be a ninja turtle but also teach him how not to get hurt or hurt others. Lil Ninja at FlexGym was an amazing find! It provides just the right amount of structure, activity, and learning at an age appropriate level. We love this Lil Ninja and FlexGym!

My daughter has been going here for months now and absolutely loves it. They have actively listened to what we want to get out of Flex and have worked with me and my daughter to make sure shes in the appropriate class for her age and skill level. We love the instructors and feedback we get from them and are excited to see where the road leads for my daughter as she lives and breathes gymnastics.
Thank you Flex!

I love this gym they used to be on ina but moved all the way across town to Oracle just south of tangerine but I still make the treck every Wednesday to take my 2 year old to open gym so she can jump on the trampoline and balence on the beems, and climbing and run until she can't anymore! This gym is only 5 bucks for an hour on Wednesdays at 10am without a membership so it's totally worth it to play and let her play that hard lol! Try it if you haven't there are different times for different ages so call ahead if you need to find out!
