About the Club

At the front of this great gym is 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist, Amanda Borden-Cochran. As the program has flourished, so have the facilities. In August 2008, Amanda and Gold Medal Gymnastics opened their second location. Since the grand opening of Gold Medal Gymnastics, GMG continues to be a proven force in Arizona Gymnastics both recreationally and competitively. The home of several State and Regional Champions, GMG remains a great gym where moms and tots as well as teens can have a little fun while feeling success in the sport of gymnastics.

Just minutes from Arizona State University and the Sky Harbor Airport, our Tempe gym remains our flagship location and main offices.

Great studio. Aileen was extremely helpful with our crazy summer schedule situation. Best customer service I've received in a long time. Studio is clean and great seating for parents. Thank you for all the help Aileen it's more than appreciated.

I've used them a few times over the last decade with a couple of my daughters and I was never satisfied. I daughters press me to stay there but I desire to see the progression. I don't feel the value is there. There other places around that blows this gym out. There are sone very small unknown gyms out here that are unrivaled next level. We had to move on.

Ms Victoria and Ms Lisa thank you for being so patient with my daughter on the days she doesn't have as much confidence! Your patience helps her build her confidence, progress, and love gymnastics.

The front staff along with the coaches are all so friendly and it shows they love what they do.

Coach Lisa is wonderful! Although we only attended for 3 months before summer break and relocating, our little one learned and grew so much. Classes are small, instructions are detailed with demos. Great experience overall!

My daughter loved her time at Gold Medal πŸ…. I too observing, chatting with the parents, as well as asking questions about the industry, the hard questions about trusting coaches & therapists with female athletes, etc. and found the staff were 100% open to discussion. Lovely experience. Sadly we moved far North and will no longer be fortunate to attend Fireflies, etc. with our friends. Miss you all, and Charlie Mae says, "Coach Amy always made me smile & try anyways, when I thought I couldn't do something hard". πŸ’–

Our daughter, who had been struggling with the back handspring just had her first tumbling class last night to work on that and a few other skills and in one class her coach had her doing it successfully and had also taught her to do the front tuck. Amazing coaches and staff and the girls all act as part of a team and support each other.

We've been with the gold medal family for five+ years and couldn't imagine taking our kids anywhere else. Our 8 year old daughter considers the coach's family and has really developed as a gymnast. Our 5 year old son was in the gymnastics program and is now transitioning to the incredible new ninja warrior course and loves it.

The difference in customer service attitude between this location & the Chandler one is night & day.

Tempe whenever I tried to schedule a makeup, it was:
Okay.
And then proceeding me to offer zero options that could work for me (mornings during school day or for Kyrene early release afternoons when we're in a different district)
When I would point out that what they offered didn't work, I'd get "what do you expect us to do?" or "well, I mean, classes are filled up for months so....?"

I don't know. Maybe: not over-fill classes and/or allow for the one extra slot from time to time for makeups? Or at the very least, lead w/ understanding since I pay a lot here?

When I changed to the Chandler location, I am always greeted, always welcomed warmly. Everyone is friendly, and there's a lot more space there for parents.

Like I said at the Chandler location, this place is amazing! This location is the much smaller one which has only recreational and a few team classes for routines or private lessons. This is a great place for your younger kids, as the painting in the small section is painted cutely.

This gym is the best! All the staff members are so warm and welcoming. The coaches seem to always have a smile on their faces and really enjoy teaching the kids. I've been taking my daughter here for a few months now and all we have is positive things to say about this facility. We absolutely love Gold Medal Gymnastics!

My daughter used to take gymnastics classes at Gold Medal when she was younger. It was a great gym! She recently went to an open gym and loved it. Even though Gold Medal is far from our house, we're thinking about going back because it may be the best choice for her. They have a separate section for kids 7+. My son also wants to attend a class! They have a separate boys only class and all the other classes are coed! We love this gym so much!

Gold Medal is an amazing gym! I love the gym, and the equipment is safe. They have wonderful strategies and phenomenal coaches.Their starting program is pretty much at the bottom, but you can easily work your way up the levels if you are willing to work hard. I was in their Junior Olympics program until level 4. Their JO strategies required LOTS of conditioning and flexibility, and they were often 1st place or 2nd place in meets. They coaches are very nice, but tough in a "I want you to do great to your fullest potential" sort of way. They do have another program called excel. Excel is only 4 levels, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. The excel coaches are a lot more chillax, but still are tough. Over all I highly recommend it... I've been doing gymnastics there since I was 4 years old.
Great gym!
