He constantly checks in to ensure we are staying on track with goals and listens to his clients and their needs. His one on one sessions are tailored specifically to your goals and very informative. When I’m not working with him one on one, his workout plan delineates expected weight/reps/sets. Highly recommend Gus if you are looking to transform your physique and health!

It’s been about 4 months since I’ve been working with Gus. Gus is a man of his word and he was right about being consistent and sticking to the numbers. I saw results in the timeframe we discussed. Gus has been fantastic. He has been building my exercise routine for over a year now and has been working with me to get my nutrition modified for the past 4 months. I am lifting more, seeing body changes, and reaching my nutrition goals. He is a great coach to work with. I have been doing his virtual training and the price is right for someone who knows their way around the gym but might not know what they need to do each day at the gym. He is also nice enough to respond to your IG fitness videos or memes you share with him to share a laugh. I have already told various friends and family about Haugen Fitness and hope they sign up so they can make the progress in their diet and their functionality.

Gus is an excellent trainer and person. I was involved in competitive sports for 15-16 years and then let myself go for a while. Gus tailors things to my abilities and my knowledge so that I get the most out of each workout. Gus does a great job of checking on how challenging each workout is and how much he can push you. I do remote sessions, and get all of the benefits that I would get in a gym with Gus. I have been working out with Gus for a few months now. I am lifting more than I used to and have dropped over 15 lbs and counting.

Gus has been nothing short of awesome. As a middle aged professional it was time for me to have a more structured and well rounded fitness and dietary plan that was realistic and flexible for my crazy schedule. Gus has provided me with a great plan that is continually evolving to fit my needs and goals. We started out slowly at home and have transitioned now to gym workouts that are fun, amazingly effective, and very time efficient. After just four months I am feeling great and the results have exceeded my expectations. He has given me great dietary recommendations and eating tips while still allowing for foods I enjoy with mindful moderation. Gus has been absolutely amazing to work with! I'm an aerial athlete and thus my needs in the gym can be a little....unique. He did additional research to help tailor my workouts to achieve my goals that range from weight loss to pole-specific strength gains.
He's flexible on times and available quickly if I have questions on workouts or exercises. OR - if I ignore his suggestions and then do something crazy in class that leaves me sore, he can quickly modify my upcoming workouts to adapt to my needs and progess.

I have been working out and doing nutrition coaching with Gus for about nine months and continue to meet my health goals.
I am someone who actively resisted going to the gym or working out in general as it has always been uncomfortable and a struggle for me. The option to work with Gus via FaceTime from home has made working out significantly more convenient and personal. He is patient, always careful, and very motivating. I continue to surprise myself with things I am able to do physically and genuinely feel excited to work out (most days, lol).
As for nutrition coaching — this has been a game-changer for me. I have had success in the past with losing significant amounts of weight (50+ lbs) on my own, but only by using elimination diets or strict calorie counting which is not sustainable. Gus has taught me to make small behavioral changes that have successfully helped me to lose almost 30 lbs and keep it off. I am very grateful for his ideas, support and accountability.
I highly recommend working with Gus to achieve your personal fitness and health goals!

As a former college athlete I’ve had trainers my entire life. Gus ranks up there with the best of them. He is extremely knowledgeable, understands what each individual needs and is always on time. Coming into 2020, I was at a point with my health and wellness that a serious adjustment needed to be made. I reached out to Gus in July 2020, to see if he could help achieve my goals of dropping weight and getting into better shape. His response was immediate and he was able to create a customized workout program that was tailored to my likes/dislikes as well as focusing on improving my whole body fitness. I cannot say enough great things about personal training sessions with Gus! I have worked with him for almost two years now. I started with in-person training sessions but once Covid restrictions went into place I transitioned to online training and monthly custom workout plans. Gus really takes the time to listen to the goals you want to accomplish and designs each workout with that in mind. I do a lot of cardio on my own so we focus mostly on strength training. Gus has a great attention to detail when it comes to making sure you are doing each exercise with the proper form. He is able to explain every exercise so precisely and it really helps me get the most out of every rep and minute in his sessions. The workouts he designs have a lot of variety and so I am always learning something new. Each workout is definitely challenging but Gus does a great job of following up after workouts to see if any weight or other adjustment needs to be made for the next workout. If you are searching for a personal trainer who is great at what they do, then I would highly recommend Gus.
