Our family LOVES Heart and Soul! The format is fun and engaging for the kids, and the instructors build great relationships with students and parents. My daughter and son love their combo classes where they get to experience both dance and gymnastics. It is wonderful to see their skill levels grow and how much pride they take in their learning there. It says a lot about the instructors that one of my kids' favorite things to do on the weekend is pretend-play "dance teacher."

I also can't recommend the birthday parties at Heart and Soul Oro Valley highly enough; great value for the money, especially if you're looking for an air-conditioned option in the summer. The coordinator is helpful and attentive, and the coaches during the party work so hard to make it a special day for the birthday kid and all party participants.

We’ve been coming to dance/tumble class with Miss Gisele since my daughter turned 1, and it’s been such a joy to watch her grow in confidence each week. My daughter can be a little wary by nature, but she absolutely loves Miss Gisele. She has a special way of making every child feel seen and included! The only good thing about Heart and Soul was my daughter's gymnastics and dance teachers. The issue with Heart and Soul is the management and business practices. For example, if you go on a two to three-week holiday vacation, your child can only make up one session in the same month if there is availability in a class. Additionally, on their website, it states, “Make-ups are not guaranteed, make-up options are contingent upon availability.” In essence, you lose out on the other sessions for the month, and making up the one session for the month is not guaranteed. An excellent business practice example is my daughter's swim school, where a six-month token is provided for a makeup session. The parent can schedule a makeup session online by checking schedules and adding their child to a swim class.

Another business practice is the monthly tuition, which is more like a non-prorated billing. The business states on its website that they do not adjust the billing for months when there are holidays, pre-planned closures, or more classes. Additionally, they note that classes even out, but if you pay attention to pre-planned closures and holidays, it does not even out in the end. The business concept is similar to a membership or subscription framework in that the same amount is billed monthly, regardless of utilization. However, there is no value proposition for this type of billing from Heart and Soul Kids. An excellent business example is my daughter's monthly membership to a local kids' playground, where the monthly billing is adjusted for holidays and pre-planned business closures. The monthly bill is adjusted if there are fewer or more days in a month. The transactional interaction between the consumer and business allows the value proposition to favor both parties.

A business practice that I disagree with is the management purposely hiring more part-time employees so they do not need to provide federal and state benefits. From a non-empathetic or compassionate business management view, similar to Amazon, this is a way to keep costs low but at the risk of mistreating low-level employees. As a fellow business owner, I prefer having full-time employees and building a work culture of excellence, compassion, and professionalism. The overall work environment morale is high, and employees work efficiently to ensure high productivity, often going above and beyond without needing to ask. That starts with doing the right thing for the business and the employees who help build the business.

As I said earlier, the teachers are why we stayed so long, but the value proposition is no longer there. We found an excellent dance studio that provides a phenomenal experience for our daughter while ensuring an exceptional business experience similar to my daughter's swim school and kids' playground membership. Yes! We pay more money, but the cost is worth it.

My wife and I enrolled our kids at Heart and Soul of December of 2022. My son was in the tumbling class and my daughter was in the tap/ballet class. My son is now in gymnastics and my daughter is in the tap/ballet/gymnastics combo. We recently were in the recital, which is a memory I will never forget. Saying it was the best decision we made is an understatement. For the past 8 months, Heart and Soul has become like family. The amount of Heart and Soul (pun intended) that is here is amazing. You can really tell that it was a thoughtful process to hide the employees that work there. All the employees are so good with all the kids. I don't know how, but even after the first class they remembered our kids names. They have always been flexible with us when emergencies and unexpected life events have occurred. No matter who we have interacted with, our interactions have always been pleasant. Whether it's Olivia, Taylor, Katelyn, Payton or McKenna, our kids look forward to seeing them. Even when I see the other coaches and how they interact with the kids, it warms my heart. Don't think twice when trying to decide if your kids would love Heart and Soul, because I promise you they will!

We had a play date at Heart and Soul. It was such a fun time for the kiddos. They played for an hour and the staff stayed engaged the entire time. They helped navigate the older kiddos and younger ones making fun games and activities to keep all kids satisfied. My kiddos had so much fun and have already asked to go back.

My 6 yr old son and 3 year old daughter love Heart & Soul so much! They attend gymnastics and Ninja at the OV location and my daughter does dance at the Central location. The teachers are so kind, patient, and encouraging. My son has done summer camp for the last two years and it’s literally been such a life saver as he thrives on routine. We also celebrated both kids’ bdays (separate days) at Heart & Soul and it was effortless on my part as they handle basically everything to facilitate a super fun party for a great price! My kids’ self-confidence and coordination skills have flourished because of Heart & Soul. I also receive prompt email responses.

The overall class is very good with good atmosphere.
This does not apply to all teachers. But the one teacher (gymnastics) that my daughter attended (just her second class),there was 100% biased nature and love / motivation shown only to other kids and not ours. I am not saying any attention should not be given to others, but what I witnessed was extremely bad (almost purposeful). Felt very disappointed. Hopefully the new teacher works better for us!.

We love Heart & Soul!!! First of all, there are so many different options- from various dance to gymnastics at all age levels (including adult!) I love how many choices my kids have!

The facilites are beautiful and well maintained! I'm always comfortable when we are there.

Last, but certainly not least, the staff is incredible! Each wonderful teacher we encounter is great with each of my kids, regardless of whether or not it's their class day. We love them so much!
