Heavy Metal Gym was a long-time staple of Kingman and its patrons were more than just dedicated to lifting; they were family. After its closing, a former member opened the House of Gainz to continue the tradition, and that tradition is still going strong. House of Gainz is a gym where everyone is welcome and the person lifting next to you may be twice your size or half your size but they are family. We have an eclectic group of members ranging from top-notch bodybuilders, powerlifters, athletes, young and old, along with folks just wanting to better their lives. No matter what, there will be someone next to you willing to assist, spot, or just give you encouragement. Come by the gym to join our family.

Love this place. My BIL lives in Kingman, so I lift here when visiting! Owner is super cool...
Warning: this is a real power gym, not a foo-foo aerobics center with foot massage and enemas...
Expect old, but HEAVY equipment!!
I think the dumbells goto a 1000....

Great gym with enough equipment to suit all workout types. The atmosphere feels welcoming and encouraging. The owners and regulars are friendly and fun to talk to. They have a kids room, shower room, lockers, individual bathrooms, etc. 24/7 access for members is also a major positive for those with irregular schedules - or night owls.

Still getting charged for a gym Ive been to once…. I’ve paid in total $180, I’m month to month, I Don’t live in kingman, I’ve contacted for months, no calls back left multiple VMs from multiple numbers… tried canceling with my bank but the transactions are still going thru….. can someone reach out to me or return a call? If so I’ll be glad to remove this review if refunded for the last couple months, since I’ve left voicemails and tried to reach you….
I’m a business owner I don’t understand why you wouldn’t return calls?

Place is NOT friendly to travelers or a place to stop in to as I was led to believe. No day passes available. Gym attendant saw me knocking but just went about her business as she could not be bothered by a customer apparently.

If you're visitng the area and need a place to jack steel, this is it! Staff was excellent, folks in the gym we're nice, and there is plenty of things other commercial gyms won't offer. 10/10 recommend!!!!

Great gym! It has everything I needed for a great workout, good quality of equipment, good AC and lots of free weights. Very friendly as well. Day pass is only 5$ which is awesome! Thanks a lot!

This gym is absolute class! Loads of great equipment, nice members, and a really friendly owner! Oh and a beautiful mascot dog called Cali. Note, if you're visiting as a guest, manned hours are 9-5. Absolute bargain at $5 for a workout. If you're passing on 66, and you want to train with some proper iron, you'd be stupid not to stop. Thanks for having us

Stopped in as I was traveling from out of town and needed a workout with more weights than PF-type places provide. A day pass was remarkably cheap, and the owners are extraordinarily friendly and helpful. I even got some spots on bench. They have a good variety of equipment, and everything is very clean and well-maintained. If I lived nearby, I'd join this gym with no hesitation.
