This LA Fitness is a bit older in terms of equipment but I like the vibe here. My only complaint and every LA Fitness is the desk people hardly ever smile or greet anyone. I don't know what they are getting paid to do but EOS and Mountainside both have friendly desk staff that check you in.

It's an older facility and gets the job done. Equipment can be waiting for service for a while, staff isn't attentive with handsanitizer stations or paper towels. It's ok hence a 3 star - you get what you pay for. I can't wait until the new one opens close by as I will be changing locations ASAP.

I've worked out at this location for several years..when it was still 24 hour fitness..and this location has only gotton better. We joined 24 Hour Fitness some years ago in Oregon. It was really convenient to just come to Arizona and go to the 24 Hour Fitness. We came in one morning and discovered it been bought by LA Fitness. Not much of anything has changed in the gym except that we have to switch allegiance with Silverfit a month before we come here or go home. Not quite as convenient. We tried another LA Fitness here and didn't like it. My husband actually hurt himself. So we're glad they haven't changed out the 24 Hour Fitness Equipment.

It is not as nice as the LA Fitness on Gilbert but I like this location because they are open later then all the other locations! Typically till 11pm when the others close at 8 on the weekends. The equipment is all older but it all works great! The gym does smell like chlorine becauae of the pool. For some reason even though the pool is in a different room, it smells in the main gym. You get used to the smell so not a deal breaker.

I had to cancel my debit card to stop LA Fitness from charging my debit card. Well the saga continues. They call daily. Once they realize we have no interest in their gym, they say, well, you owe a late fee. When we introduce or attorney Mr. Bigglesworth, they are kind enough to refund late fee, but they call the next day. This company is a complete joke and I question anyone’s sanity that chooses to do business with them.

P.S. the funny thing is that we have gone to this gym for years. It use to be 24 hour Fitness. We would cancel, then a year so later, we would go back. An apocalypse couldn’t make me take shelter there, now.

The gym had everything you needed in order to get a proper workout. With that being said, the only reason I ever drove out to this location was because it was the only 24 hour LA Fitness in the East Valley. They have just changed their hours, and it no longer fits my needs and/or schedule. I wish I had not paid for a year membership with LA Fitness. Place changed it's hours. It actually stated it was going to take effect on Sunday the 16th, but the closed the doors on Saturday the 15th at 1100pm. Nothing better than walking up to the door and seeing the staff kick everyone out and lock the doors.

To be honest this LA Fitness is so much better that the others, they helped me right away, i had to drive to this one because all the other LA Fitnesses by my house kept telling me that there was one person who can cancel my membership and he was never in or he was gonna give me a call back and they never did. This place has completely gone downhill since it became LA Fitness. Let's start off with walking in the door, very seldom are you ever greeted, it usually seems like your an inconvenience when the front desk has to scan your membership card. The equipment is filthy. I generally have to pre-wipe down equipment prior to using. The trash cans are over flowing with garbage all the time. The bathrooms are also a disappointment, most if the time the soap dispensers are empty and there is never paper towels. This place definitely needs a make over, from the building to the staff!

The weights that they offer are so diverse that even I can work out there. My muscles have never been so big in my life! Other than them trying to scam me (-1 star) they would have received 5 stars! Every time I work out I get this tingly feeling in my arms like they're excited and I don't get the same feeling anywhere else but here. If you like the tingly sensation then I would recommend you work out here! Just be careful because they want your money and they're sneaky conversationalists so don't let them trick you.

This gym was ran better with their old ownership, 24hr fitness. Steam room doesn't work, no one that works there knows when it'll be fixed. Two machines I wanted to work on were out of order and didn't have signs (missing small parts that prevented use and the parts aren't as noticeable, someone could have been hurt), again no employees knew/cared. At least 24hr.Fitness would advise a fixed by date with signs as I understand things break... But the L.A. fitness girls were more concerned about watching Snapchat vids rather than helping me. The men's bathroom floor was covered in trash (paper towels and etc.) even though I saw a cleaning crew making "busy work" elsewhere. I'm easy going but this was ridiculous.

All you that give bad reviews need to shut the f-up. This is the only LA fitness open for 24 hours on this side of town. For the cost of being open for 24 hours the equipment is fine. Appreciate what's been given or they might just shorten the hours if they upgrade for all you complainers. This is a good after hours gym for when you missed your workout during regular hours. Go to one of the other LAF locations if you want new equipment. Thank you LA Fitness for buying out this old 24 hour fitness gym! Myself and many others appreciate it!

To be fair. The gym was crappy to begin with. The old staff was terrible as well. And all the machines could use an overhaul. I paid for a 3 year membership but don't go often because the condition of the gym is poor and I'm also a bit tired of watching gym rats flexing in the mirror and shadow boxing in the dumbell area. But I think there are people like that in most gyms.
Hopefully they can get the gym in reasonable condition and the staff better trained soon.

This is by far the worst gym I have ever been to in Arizona. This location switched over from a 24 hour fitness and I wish it wouldn’t have. This place was MUCH better when It was run by 24 hour fitness.

Staff:
The staff is horrible. If you have a problem and ask them for help all they do is make excuses as to why they can’t help you. They all love to just stand up at the front counter and talk to one another instead of doing anything else. The overall attitude of the staff is “DGAF”.

Equipment:
The Machines are old and they are always broken in one way or another. If you go and tell the staff about broken machines they don’t even take note of it and just say they are going to get it fixed. I told them about a broken machine 2 MONTHS ago and it is still broken.

Entertainment:
The TVs are all from the 1990s and they are tiny compared to today’s standards. Glad our monthly dues are going to good use!

Pool/Sauna/Steam Room:
The pool is gross. The color of the pool deck is black. No, that was not the original color that is what color it is now due to them never cleaning anything. There is black scum all over that place. I don’t even want to go to the pool since I don’t want to walk barefoot out on the deck. I can’t even imagine how dirty the water must be.

Closing:
If you are a member of LA fitness and are looking for a good gym, this IS NOT the one. I would recommend a newer facility like the one in Chandler at Gilbert and the South 202 Freeway
