I been coming here off and on since the Ahwatukee location closed. One thing left to be desired was that the steam was not intense at all. Well I'm pleased to say they figured it out and I love it now. Best part of my workout is having a functional steam room, and they nailed it.

I've had personal training the last 7 months with Aaron at this LA Fitness Riverview location. He is kind, friendly, knowledgeable, professional and very motivating. His experience working as a Physical Therapist makes it even better and he made me feel comfortable right off the bat!

If I could afford more sessions, I would definitely get more because the time flies by way too quickly.

I have gained a lot of strength and lost a nice chunk of weight and plan to continue this journey of self-improvement. What is so great about personal trainers is learning how to use other equipment and exercises that I wouldn't otherwise try on my own.

As for the GYM, they seem to have a lot of turnover which is probably the norm. They need to take some of the membership money and get some floor mats that are thicker than 1/4" and get more than a few. There are hardly any around in the functional training area! The fitness balls need air but it doesn't appear anyone is in charge of that responsibility. One in particular has been half deflated for the entire 7 months. If it doesn't hold air, get a new one!!!

When its comes to my personal trainer Aaron 5 stars to the man. He has been training me for 9 months and my progress has been awesome. The personal trainer with the hat working at noon on Friday was very rude and made me get off his machine claimed it for personal training ONLY. He was causing a scene and made me feel very uncomfortable. He was using the step up things far away. This is the 2nd incident with this guy same exact thing. If you are actually using it how did I get on the machine? You let the next random person use it without even getting on it. You literally kicked me off the machine and let a random person on it and you never returned to use it. The front desk "managers" did nothing after I brought it to their attention. Also the bathroom stinks and urinals are always broken.

Bad experience with front desk staff. I was in town for a couple of days and came here to work out with a long-time member friend. The first staff member said I could use a free 3-day pass that you sign up for on the website. I did that, but then a second staff member showed up and said because I wasn’t an Arizona resident I would have to pay $20+ to get in for the day. I’m not paying $20+ to work out for 45 minutes. The person in the photo was the semi-helpful one. Another guy with a beard was the one who wouldn’t honor the free pass on the website.

I have mixed feelings about this location because the amenities of the kids jungle gym (I dont have kids) , smoothie bar, locker, steam room is my personal favorite. Staff is nice but it’s the cleaning part for me. I’ve been here more than once it always looks like Ross location in the hood b/c of the weights are not re-racked in correct spots and randomly moving everywhere. I can tell they need at least two or three cleaners working at one time in this location. My complaints sound anal but I feel as a paying member this location just needs to be cleaned/ redone or something. Other than that it does what a gym needs to do and for that I’m grateful and will just chose another location to go too.

Why have an app if you’re going to make your members drive all the way to the gym to find out on printed paper that the pool is closed?! There’s a message system in the app, you could use it for messaging.

Predatory cancellation policy. I hand-delivered a cancellation notice to LA Fitness Mesa per their own contract. Despite this, they refused to process it unless the operations manager was physically present—something the contract NEVER requires. They continued billing me and started calling and harassing me about it. I have photo proof of my cancellation and am now disputing all charges and filing formal complaints with the Attorney General and CFPB. This company ignores their own terms to trap members into extra payments. Avoid this location and avoid LA Fitness

I just started taking my 1 year old to the Kids club at the beginning of the month and she has warmed up so well to Ms. Shelli and Miss Delaney. She’s never really been away from me, so the first couple weeks she would cry at drop off but they were so great at redirecting her and now by week 4 she’s arms open to go for drop off. My work outs have been so peaceful knowing she’s safe and enjoying herself. The gym is always clean and well equipped for what I need. It’s been nice being back at this gym.

I have loved the Kids Klub at this gym. They are so kind and actually care about the kids. My kids come here and actually play instead of just watching TV. I would recommend the workers in the morning any day. I love how they know me and my kids. I also love the aqua fit classes and the machines always work and I feel welcomed. The only bummer is the pool, spa and sauna have seemed to keep breaking down. But they communicate what they can about when it will be up, if they can, which is helpful.

Every since Covid you can’t change the channels on the TV. Remote for TV’s use to be available at front desk! They are not any more! Went to the gym to get on stair master and watch the NBA Playoffs. About every TV was on the NHL Stanley Cup!! Ask for it to be changed and the early day workers locked it, so the young man working the front desk couldn’t change it!! My thing is it’s a gym with a basketball court, not a hockey arena!! Put the TV on the NBA games!! All the other LA Fitness’s always showed the big games NBA and NFL! Not here it always feels intentional too!
Steam room will be my next biggest issue, yes it’s running! But it is not functioning properly! When I mentioned to the front desk manager! I was told that’s the best I was gonna get. I been going to this gym since it was the 24 hour fitness. Steam room has always been the highlight of the workout routine!! Steam use to get real cloudy to were you can’t see, more importantly it only took about 5 to 7 minutes for a good steam! Now you have to sit in there a while to get the same effect!! It’s utterly ridiculous. Place has fell off since it stopped being a 24 hour gym as a LA Fitness. Closing of a lot of other L.A. Fitness’s in town has led this gym to be more populated. And it sucks! Basketball court looked like it needed to be rebuffed when I took some shots the other day too! All in all I enjoy this gym! But I hate paying my monthly membership with out the steam room properly working, or being able to workout and watch NBA games

Been going here a year. Drinking water was cloudy at one point. Pool/hot tub are often closed because they're swampy and misty. Some areas of the gym just stink. I don't use many amenities, just come in to work out, sauna, and leave. If that's all you need, then it's an average gym. Could be better taken care of.

We started attending classes at this location after the Stapley location closed, but it smells badly in so many parts of the facility, nothing like the cleanliness of Stapley, Chandler, and the Greenfield locations.
