My boyfriend gave me a 7-day pass to use at this LA Fitness on Northern. When I scanned the QR code, the staff were rude and insisted on seeing an ID, which I provided. I showed my valid work permit ID with my name and photo, but they refused to accept it. I ended up having to call my boyfriend to come back to the gym just to scan the pass himself. The way the staff treated me made me feel discriminated against, and if this happens again, I’ll convince him to cancel his membership.

Nice gym, but for 50 bucks a month plus other fees you'd think you could stay open longer???? Not sure how the business hours changed so much, but if they could go back to 12 am closing that would help allot. Gyms aren't government buildings, you shouldn't have to operate the same hours of a bank = very inconvenient, plus for the price??? PS: this location has always issues with the pool or spa, one or the other is always closed almost daily for "maintenance".

I signed up with Claudia Gonzales for personal training. When I signed up, I asked her if I could cancel whenever and she said yes, you could cancel. Whenever there's no penalties, you don't have to worry about that. You could just cancel. I went in today to put my membership on pause for the personal training. And she said that I couldn't, and she never said that. I was able to cancel my membership. She said she never doesn't remember. So I went ahead and asked for corporate number and she couldn't give it to me. She asked one of her employees. And also said that he didn't have it. But that I could find it on Google. I then asked her for a business card. She says, what do you want my business card? I don't even have one well. I need your name, then. She said, what do you need? My name for I said, well, because I am gonna

my name is G I'm from Chicago, born and raised. I used to love this gym, having started visiting in 2014. However, the new general manager is consistently rude and disrespectful without provocation, displaying a poor attitude. Furthermore, she appears to treat the gym as her personal property, installing locks on the doors that result in members being locked out, a clear violation of our rights. Her inability to communicate respectfully, without resorting to rudeness or disrespect, has led me to wish to file a formal complaint against her and the gym. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this matter with the corporate office, as it is unacceptable for staff to treat members with such disdain. Unfortunately, this gym, like many others under new management, is driving away its membership, and I foresee a significant decline in attendance, with alternative fitness options, such as outdoor parks, becoming increasingly appealing. 😡the parks outside will be full 🗣️

I love this gym a lot, and the staff are generally welcoming and helpful. The gym itself is nice and has plenty of equipment.

However, I sometimes find the men’s toilets looking like a middle school bathroom — with unflushed toilets or clogs.

The basketball gym is really nice and serene, and the AC works great. The only issue I’ve had is with the manager — she needs to be more welcoming and mindful of how she comes off to others.

For example, one time I asked to pump my basketball. I saw a pump and asked to use it. She said, “We don’t have one.” I pointed behind her and said, “So there isn’t one right there?” She replied no. Then she pointed at something else next to the pump (which was the same color), and I said, “No, I mean right next to it.” She responded, “Oh, that’s for small basketballs.”

As a ball player, I was in disbelief — there’s no such thing as a pump for small balls and a different one for big balls. Not to mention, I had used that exact pump before and it worked perfectly. I told her that, but she still didn’t let me use it.

I said, “Aight, bet,” and walked away. She responded, “Bet.”

The next day, a different staff member — someone much nicer and more respectful — let me use it with no issue.

Great place to work out, not very crowded. Very clean, the downside people never put their dumbbells back where they belong and the employees,they never do it. Every morning, when I go to the gym, dumbbells are everywhere. I have to look for them to be able to work out. That's the part that I hate.

The gym is very well kept and clean, and the experience is always pleasant. We spent some time with one of the trainers, Mark, and he was exceptional. He made the gym setting less intimidating and was very encouraging and pleasant to be around. I went in with my niece because she needed a shower and I needed to watch her service dog. There was two chairs by the door so I sat in one. That chair was cracked leather and it kind of hurt my legs. The lady behind the desk didn't talk to me at all I tell my niece came out and her dog barked with happiness. At that time she told me I couldn't have the dog in there I was already sitting there almost an hour.

The weights in the equipment are great. They do not control the behavior even bad behavior of their patrons. If you'd like to see bad behavior you can go there any day and see people dancing and singing and just being generally distracting. It's irritating. Management doesn't care because it doesn't have anything to do with making new sales. If there was a decent gym near me I'd go there.

The personal trainers are friendly, helpful and seem to know their stuff and care about what they do.

I wasn't able to get back to the gym because I have my young son with me after work. Then I learned that my son could play in the Kid's Club while I work out. He loves it! There are other children there for him to play with. Sarah and Nadia, the two young ladies caring for the children, are absolutely amazing. They interact with the children, help them with what they need, and keep them safe. My son looks forward to seeing his Kid's Club friends every day.

I love the LA Fitness at 23rd Avenue and Northern. I originally started with LA Fitness at a different location but this location quickly became my go to gym. The front desk staff are super nice and their smiles always put me in a good mood. The equipment here is fixed quickly and any hot tub and pool repairs are made promptly. PLus, the whole place just has a good vibe and atmosphere. Just normal people having good workouts. Thanks to the staff at this location and the manager, who kills it (In a good way :)). Thanks :)

This location may be the best of all LAF. Over 14 years, they've saved stuff I left. The staff is courteous, prompt, and almost always ready to help immediately. Yester I managed to change out of my new shoes. In the way out I carried it. No bag.
When I got home, I couldn't find it I called and the man said he'd look for it. It took awhile. He actually found my shoe! In the parking lot !
I just picked it up. Emily was sweet despite being very busy.
