I visit a lot of clubs in the valley, but this is my home club and my favorite. The cleaning staff does a wonderful job, the front desk always greets me with a smile, and the managers have all been helpful. Classic boomer gym. Not been renovated since I was born. Playlist/music is awful. Annual fee & pricing model sucks bc they know people will want to churn.

That said, Chris the GM is awesome, the lead trainer Avery is an upstanding young man, and the ops team at the front desk is super kind. The LA Fitness team makes me smile every time I am in. They really do care. Also this gym has tons of good equipment and usually no wait at prime hours for equipment.

All in good value. I would rather pay more for better aesthetics/vibes but the people and no waits make it a 5 star.

Beware with this dirty class establishment. They kept charging me after i caccelled my Menbership.

This has to be one of the bigger LA Fitness locations I've been to in Arizona. It has a lot of machines that are useful as well. It wasn't too crowded on the day I was there which was nice. There are plenty of cardio machines here too. The only thing that I noticed was a downside was that the machines all looked pretty old and worn. Perhaps a renovation is needed.

For the last couple of moths the place hygiene/cleanness just bad/trash! Floors trough the gym are always dirty with dirty water stains. equipment dirty always dusty and dirt stains.restrooms dirty, showers drain with lots of hair, same hair at same spot for several of days proof that they’ve not clean down for days! The pool recently drain out but it looks the same as they didn’t even resurface it! No pride it making it look great as the people that go to work out!

But just want to let you guys know that i've noticed for the past couple of months an older guy walking around outside and looking through the windows between 6-7 pm. He looks like he's looking for someone. He does it 2-3x a week. Its kinda creepy. just something noticed.

This place is trash… Had to change my review… this is just not ok now.
Wi-Fi is always interrupting across the place, test fire alarms, swimming pool has been dirty dirty (not sure if it’s been cleaned at all since I started going), no drier for the clothes, and yesterday I had someone place a warning sticker on my Ducati for parking in the shade… I get it, it said no parking zone, but it was parked literally on the corner as close as possible to the wall where it literally really wasn’t bugging anyone… it was 115 degrees yesterday, and you guys have literally 0 covered parking anywhere. I was just trying to not hurt myself when riding back/ leaving your facility… if I’m going to work out for two hours at least, I can’t have my bike cooking out there in the sun, and parking there was my only option. Now I gotta figure out how to remove this fricken sticker without damaging the Ducati body and leave scratches… costs 1000’s of dollars, and one of your security people thinks it’s ok to just stick this sticker on the side like this… words can’t describe how much of an idiot that dude is, and the struggle of what I have to do now to get this off without scratching the body… wish I could make the guy pay for this removal, but karma gets everyone sooner or later - thanks LA fitness 👍 this totally helps with my reason of coming there in the first place to “unwind”

Been an LA fitness member for YEARS. Never thought I'd be writing a bad review, yet here we are!
I froze my membership due to financial woes. I confirmed with the front desk girl and she told me it was going to be a one time $10 charge to freeze the acct and that nothing else would be charged until I wanted to reactivate my acct again. I was suddenly charged the annual fee last week. I just gave them a call and now they're saying it's $10 per month WHILE THE ACCT IS FROZEN? AND NO ACCESS TO THE GYM WHILE ITS FROZEN? MAKE THAT MAKE SENSE. What a stupid freaking policy! And the guy I spoke with at member services, Dwayne I believe his name was, was not helpful or empathetic. I've been a member since BEFORE covid, and couldn't "do anything" about the annual fee. Not even a one time refund, unbelievable. Fully cancelled my membership now. I'll take my business to the newly opened EOS on Bell!!!

My review is for the kids club at this gym. My granddaughter who is 3 absolutely loves the kids club here! It’s such a relief knowing they’re in such a fun and safe environment while my daughter and I work out. Everyone is so nice when we walk in, they absolutely adore her. Yes, I would highly recommend!

Questions that I had might help you are the hours when they are open. They give you 2 hours to work out and open Mon- Thurs 4 pm-8 pm, and on Sat 8 am- 12 pm. Closed Fridays & Sundays.

I’ve been going to this gym for 10 years, and overall I really love it. The facility is always clean, the equipment is well-maintained, and the members create a great community atmosphere. Over the years, most of the staff have been friendly and helpful, and I’ve always appreciated that.

However, I did want to bring attention to two recent experiences that were disappointing.

Last month, I was leaving the gym on a Saturday evening right at closing time. As I walked out at 8:01 PM, the staff member locking up told me I’d be charged a late fee if I stayed past closing again. I was surprised by this, especially since I was clearly already exiting and it was just one minute past. I felt the comment was unnecessary and a bit harsh.

Then more recently, in June, I visited with my niece whose account was just one day past due. The front desk staff told her she couldn’t work out because the manager had changed the policy and anyone with a past due account couldn’t be let in. It was 7:15 AM, and when my niece explained that her mom was asleep and couldn’t make the payment immediately, she was told she’d have to come back later after the balance was paid. I understand the importance of policy, but a little grace—especially for a single-day delay—would have gone a long way.

Despite these issues, I still enjoy the gym and hope management can bring more consistency and understanding to how these types of situations are handled. Respect and flexibility make a big difference, especially for long-time members like myself.
