I came in yesterday to try a day pass before signing up, since I’m new to the area and looking for a gym. The woman at the front desk told me she could only let me in if I left a 5-star review first, which already felt unprofessional. She also told us to come back the next day to pick up our guest passes.

When we returned today, we were denied entry and told we had been given the wrong information because she was “new.” Both women we interacted with were rude, dismissive, and showed no interest in helping or correcting the situation.

We ended up going down the street to Anytime Fitness, where they immediately accepted our guest passes and Texas IDs with no issues. Because of the unprofessional experience here, we signed up with them instead.

The group classes are great and the machines available are sufficient, but the building is dismal overall. The cardio equipment is grimy, the locker room/bathroom is unhygienic, the dials for the sauna settings are unreadable. It is poorly maintained, which is a disservice to the members who use it.

It's good, but they don't have the amenities of a newer club. The cryo would be amazing and they have the space for it in the front. It is a good club and it's a great place to workout, but not to recover. The showers need more consistent deep cleanings as well. Again good, not great. No big complaints but other can do better.

Trashy gym with dicey location. Dirty amenities and front staff, especially front desk is morally questionable. Definitely not customer oriented. I came in to work out with my wife and they treated us both like we were unwelcome. We have been members for a while and I’ve visited many other locations but this one was by far the worst. Makes me question renewing my membership at any location. I wish I knew the front desk attendant name but she was rude and unprofessional sitting down with a blanket over her body like she was on her nap break when we showed up. No one else around to help and no regard for customer service, human decency or professionalism.

The lady at the front desk was amazing let me get a workout in as a guess, I'm trying to get a good workout in on vacation she was amazing. As for the guy who's the salesman sucked, didn't ask me if my workout was good,did anyone show you around, did it feel like home to me when I worked out, he was very rude. Even though im visiting i wanted to get a workout in while im here. just because of him I won't ever join a this gym. Over good gym. Water fountains need attention with a scouring pad and its been a few years since one of the racquetball court ceilings has had water damage. Now there appears to be black mold on the exposed particle board. This is unsatisfactory for health and wellness. God for bid anyone get spores in there lungs.

I recently went in and inquired about getting a membership. I asked very specific questions pertaining to the workout regimen that I wanted to follow. Was told that they could accommodate with not only what I was wanting, but even Moore. Under the promise of everything that I wanted, I signed up for a Membership over $100 a month. Only to find out that there were many hidden fees for things that I was told were originally included with my member The hidden fees of the amenities that I wanted to use were in In total over $8000 added annually to my membership. Which is just an asinine amount of money. I would rather do push-ups and sit up in my living room.

In Arizona for work. Went to Phoenix location yesterday. Tried this Scottsdale one today. Smaller than most typical LA Fitness clubs but nice and clean. Tons of machines, great staff and best of all, they have a V Squat machine. Great for those of us that can't do traditional barbell squats. Oh yeah and the men's locker room has a lounge area 💪🏽

I really like LA Fitness ! Specifically the one on Scottsdale Road, I like the cycling class and the Zumba class they provide. With a lots of good gym equipment. The locker room is very clean also.

It’s adequate. The people are nice. The only part that upsets me are the sales people. I needed to get in shape for my health and the person I talked to cheated me out of money. We messed up by not reading the contract before signing. but we trusted his word that he was a good person. Now we are stuck paying 9months of training when he told us it was 3 months. Definitely don’t trust their word for it and read the contract.

Maybe I'm spoiled from my last gym(cheaper btw) but this gym actively demotivates me from working out. The equipment is so lacking and either out of date or poorly designed I get frustrated and don't want to push. No modern elliptical, one proper squat rack, one incline bench and one cable row machine have me scratching my head.

Addendum: do not buy personal training sessions at this gym. There was no consistency, no plan and I was bounced between 4 different trainers in 3 months. Then when I was done with my 3 months they charged me another month because I didn't inform them I was done training and refused a refund.

Too much NOISE. Random JUNK NOISE. Loud MUSIC constantly playing, but sounds TINNY, due to bad speakers. A lot of gym sounds due to machines, weights, and crowds. Hard floors reverberate sound everwhere. TV's and MUSIC blaring in the locker rooms. If I want MUSIC, I will bring my own. I do not want to hear YOUR MUSIC. Sounds jumbled up become ANNOYING JUNK NOISE flying around in the entire building.

It has a decent array of machines and people don’t seem to camp at a spot for excessive amounts of time. Honestly, it is very dirty. I never see anyone wiping down equipment; neither gym goers nor employees, and you can see dirt on machines. Also, the wipes are pretty cheap and ineffective.

I've had my locked locker broken into and wallet stolen twice from here.

Additionally, the stinky mean old man who's there in the morning some time between 5am & 7am is extremely rude to everyone around him and really ruins the experience of this gym for everyone else. I don't know why they haven't banned him yet.

The young Caucasian gentleman who owns the car on the right was sitting inside his vehicle when I parked in front of the LA Fitness on Scottsdale Rd. I briefly tried to ask him to straighten out but he just gave me a “tough guy” look and ignored me.

I figured he’d realize why I made my request when he decided to get out. Instead he decided to open his door into the side of my truck and leave me a profane note. Police report has been filed. Wow! Lurking under the surface are surprizing details. I. Litter on the floor in pool area, most probably from a careless customer. II. While swimming I saw medical waste (bandaids x2) floating in the water (removed both to pool deck). Then time to relax in the hot tub. I prefer the peaceful heat when the jets are off, usually. III. I used my toes to pick up something off the spa floor. A rusty screw and a piece of cloth. IV. Then I see two more rusty nails on the spa floor, really not my job to remove these. V. The far right filter/wall jet has a significant amount of silt/sand under it. VI. Disgusted I just get out and head to the showers VI) To see two huge globes of hair at the drain near my feet. Feeling ill, I look thinking omg, what next? VII) The ceiling vent near the last stall is coated with fuzzy dusty?/old paintish yuk? Suggestions: please drain and clean spa with additional maintenance. Ensure shower drains are cleared everyday (x2). Clean/paint shower ceiling vents. I love this location so the post will come down after a week or so. Please help me enjoy my membership. Not sure how to attach photos.

Thought this was a decent LA Fitness, compared to others in the area. The pool here is way cleaner and nicer than the one at McCormick Ranch. More spacious than average locker room with large benches so you're not crammed in. Adjustable showerheads with different settings in the locker rooms (it's the little things, right?). Seemed clean overall. And they actually had a smoothie bar with basic healthy food options, as opposed to just a vacant empty has-been area typical of other LA Fitness gyms in the area.

I seriously cannot say enough good things about this LA Fitness, but especially about Taylor. Like… WHERE do I even begin?! From the moment you walk in, she’s just radiating positive energy. Friendly, helpful, professional — she’s literally everything you want in someone running the front desk. She makes the whole place feel like home.

There’s been times I’ve come in tired, grumpy, not in the mood to work out — and somehow Taylor turns it around. Just seeing her at the front puts you in a good mood. You can tell she actually cares about the members and takes pride in what she does. That’s rare these days.

The gym itself is great — clean, all the equipment works, good vibes overall — but honestly, it’s Taylor that makes it stand out. If she’s working, you already know it’s gonna be a good day.

Give her a raise, give her a medal, name the building after her — I don’t care. Just don’t let her leave. She’s the GOAT.
