I pay $40 for a membership w guest privileges, there was one day I came w my girlfriend but got an emergency call from my business & had to get that resolved. My girlfriend stayed as we were already here, 2 minutes later I got a call stating I couldn’t leave her at the gym & leave… 2 weeks go by & I guess I left such an impression that the guy felt the need to tell me in person AGAIN as if he wasn’t the one that made someone call to tell me the first time. Never had these BS encounters at any other gym, i’ve been w this gym for 2 years but i’d cancel if this gym wasn’t across from my house, nothing special about this gym & not cheap (single location membership)

I've been to probably 50 LAF centers all over the country, and this one is without question the absolute biggest and best I've ever been to. It's huge, and they have an excellent quantity and variety of equipment. It's also very clean and was not crowded at all in the morning. I wish I lived here because I would definitely join this gym, but I will still come back here every time I visit for work.

Imagine me, gripping my gym bag & water bottle likes it’s my emotional support system, feeling a little overwhelmed and trying to act like I knew what was going on, inside I’m quickly met by one of the best humans ever - Thaden. He is smiling like the sun, calm like an app for meditation, and ready to save the day. Ten minutes later, I am signed up, excited, and really wondering whether this man is moonlighting as a magician because….wow.

Polite, patient, and genuinely helpful-he’s the kind of whose smiles could power half the city. He answered every question, made me laugh, and somehow turned joining a gym into actually kind of an okay experience. Wild for someone who considers chasing the kids around at home cardio.

Then I find out he’s new. NEW. Excuse me?! The professionalism, the confidence, the amazing vibes! You’d never would have guessed it. He’s the first to help, knowledgeable, smiling - just a smile can go a long way and he’s definitely WINNING when it comes to his.

LA Fitness, please-make this man a manager. Actually, no-make him manager, regional director, and maybe mayor of the city. He’s got my vote! #TeamThaden

Hire ten more like him while you’re at it. People like Thaden are reasons members come back-even when we swear we wouldn’t after leg day. He’s the reason people show up.

My personal favorite location. It's very busy but I avoid peak times and don't have an issue. It has same sex dry saunas in the bathrooms. Perfect for those thatI don't like coed sweating. I live in Tempe so its close. Ive never had any negative issues except whenever I bring in a friend they are a bit excessive on sales tactics. I didnt do it often but I stopped all together because of that. Its overly obvious they work on commissions. Other than that Ive been coming to this location for years and love it.

This is my first time to put a one star in my all ratings. I always don’t put a rating if I don’t like anything in a place, but It was very disappointing and frustrating to me when I came to try the gym and use the free 3 days pass clearly stated on their website without any restrictions and then Ali, one of the managers, told me that I can’t use the whole 3 days free pass as it’s for AZ residents only, and I can use only a pass for 1 day as I’m not an AZ resident. I just moved to AZ and I still have my CA ID, and I don’t know where did he brought this from! At the end, he also didn’t give me the free 1 day pass that he said at the beginning, and I left the gym without exercising! It was so disappointing and frustrating as they mention something on their website, but people working there create their own policies and prevent new people from using what mentioned in the gym website!! If you don’t provide the free pass for new people to try the gym first, please remove it from your website! I always exercise and go to the gym when I was in California, but I have never seen something or treatment like this from any gym!! I decided to leave them and join another gym that has clear policy and nice staff than this gym!

This gym is amazing period. I started out at twenty five point eight percent body fat.After five months i'm down to seventeen point three percent body fat. I didn't lose any muscle during the transition Either.My personal trainer was super helpful.They helped me schedule, they helped me set everything up, and they didn't charge me too much.If it's your personal health, you're worried about in my opinion.You can go big or go home out of all the gyms.I visited this one's the place to be.

I live way out in Chandler/Gilbert but missed a Zumba class at the LA fitness down the street from me once back in May. Decided to try out the available class here and I’ve been coming back ever since! Liz is the absolute best! High intensity class and fun as hell. My sister even came with me once and now she asks to join me every time. We giggle about the songs being stuck in our head throughout the week and truly look forward to her class together. You can still use the gym without the app but if there are issues setting up the app you need to cancel in person. Over all if your close and have no other options then this is an OK gym. The layout is very bad and the over all equipment is old and scarce. If your into squatting good luck.. only 2 squat racks for heavier lifting. The equipment is top-notch, well-maintained, and always available, even during peak hours. Whether I'm lifting, hitting the sauna for recovery, or playing pickup games on the full basketball court, there’s something for every fitness style.
