I can’t say enough good things about this gym! I always feel welcomed and supported. The energy is always positive, the space is clean and well-equipped, and the vibe is just right—motivating without being intimidating.
The coaches/trainers are knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely care about your progress, no matter your fitness level. One of the things I love most is that no two training sessions are ever the same. Even through Legacy offers group training classes, every workout is thoughtfully planned for the individual clients to keep things fresh and challenging.

Need help preparing for a marathon or a Ragnar relay race? This is the place! They've helped me so much with my running goals that I would never go anywhere else. I am so thankful I stumbled upon this gym.
These personal trainers and the structure of this gym (how the trainers assess starting points and integrate you into the program) is unlike anything I have ever experienced. I feel so supported here, and these trainers truly work with you and your life, and you truly feel better. I have also never had personal trainers be so attentive and knowledgeable as they are at Legacy.

Great experience at Legacy Fitness. The training is all semi-private meaning you work out with a trainer who is supporting a few other people at the same time. This is by far the best personal training experience I have had. Playing D1 sports at a BIG10 school was some of the highest quality training I have been around and this is on par. Love training at this gym when I'm in Scottsdale. They have all of the equipment, a huge space and excellent semi-private training to make sure I'm using the right form on barbell lifts. It's one of the places I always visit when I come to town and highly recommend for anyone who wants to follow a program to reach 3/6/12 month goals.

I am fairly new to training in general and this type of training specifically. I know it's call "semi-personal "training but it often feels like you are 1-on-1 with the trainers. Small classes (6 or less) make this very personal. Here you aren't just floundering around a big impersonal gym not having a clue what to do. Shout out to the coaches Kelsey, Natalie, and Jolie and boss man Zach. They are experts! always watching to make sure that you're doing it right! And they are so patient and encouraging. The attention given to each member, the amenities, and the great staff are quite the package. There are a lot of “training” options in Scottsdale but Legacy has to be at the top of those options.

I've been training here for the last three weeks. I was looking for personal training to get me back in shape. I really like the personalized approach of this gym. They took the time to make an assessment of where I was, and develop a training plan suited to me to ensure progressive development without risking injury.
Membership includes an app for easily scheduling training sessions, food logging, and a perk / reward system to keep me motivated. I also receive a lot of communication and motivation from the trainers I work with, and the Fitness Director. I also get to meet with the Fitness Director every two weeks to conduct measurements and evaluate ways to best achieve my fitness goals.
So far, I'm feeling much stronger and feel like my workouts are getting progressively better each day.

Finding Legacy was a gift for me. I would drive past (formerly, Pulse Fitness) every day, at least 2 times per day, and I always wondered what it was like. I knew I was ready to take a step toward a fitness journey, when I found myself out of breath from bending over to tie my shoes! I had always worked out in some capacity, but took a very long hiatus because I allowed work, kids, activities consume me, so never took time for myself or my health. So one random Saturday morning, almost 5 years ago, I walked into (Pulse), signed up on the spot and never looked back!
I had been so used to making “donations” to gyms but this was different. I was held accountable for not showing up. All the workouts are scheduled (like a business meeting), and you’re on someone else’s time (the trainers and other members), so I never wanted to disappoint them either. When I started I could barely lift 15 pounds. My last PR for hip thrust was 309 pounds, so to say I’ve come a long way is an understatement.
Legacy Fitness has changed me in such a positive way. The trainers are incredible, the gym is state of the art…I am now at a point in my life where I make excuses to not show up for the other things going on so I don’t miss a day working out!

I had ACL surgery in May, and I started training at Legacy before my surgery to get myself prepared. About 1 month post-op I returned, and my Coaches were amazing when it came to my limitations, and curating exercises that would help me in my Physical Therapy.
As I would get stronger, they would challenge me, but always made sure I felt comfortable before and during an exercise. My Coach Jayce is my biggest cheerleader, checking in on me whenever I had post-op appointments, to make sure I was on track.
My success in my recovery is 100% due to being able to carefully regain my strength 4 days a week at Legacy and my Physical Therapy.

I started with Legacy several months ago to assist in gaining strength back into my upper body from a Crushed Humerus in my right elbow with 2 surgeries. I had been in 18 months of OT so this was the next step in gaining my strength and muscle back to continue my Triathlon training and daily training in my life.
Everyone there is amazing in the knowledge to help reach my goals. They listened to what my goals were and where i wanted to go with this investment of my time and money into all this.
Everyone has been supportive and patient in understanding from where I was coming from with my physical limitations and knew i wanted to push myself forward.
With all that being said, I gained my strength back to complete my first Ironman 70.3 , since my injuries a week ago and completed the swim with confidence that my arm would be ready and it was.Thanks to all the Staff there for helping me get ready!

I joined about a year ago and it’s been a great experience! All the coaches are very knowledgeable and do a great job of making it a personal experience. If you have an injury they always remember and make sure modifications are made. If you’re looking for something in between a one-on-one sessions and a big group session then this offers a lot. There is usually one instructor to about five people which gives them the ability to focus on individuals and provide each person with their own tailored plan. The coaches are all personable and the environment is encouraging which keeps me motivated!!

I am not one to post reviews that often unless it is something absolutely horrendous or absolutely exceptional. I have to say only being a member here for one month, it has been the best decision I’ve made in years. I have tried every gym out there, every type of program, I even convinced myself into buying a peloton during quarantine, and I have never committed to anything before, like I have with Legacy.
The attention that the trainers give each and everyone of us is unlike any other that I’ve received from other gyms. The genuine interest from the team as a whole truly makes you feel like you were getting world-class service. I also love that they do body scans each month. All my numbers are going in the right direction and so many other things have improved overall with my life style; eating habits, water intake, endurance to name a few. Stop wasting your time deciding on what gym to join. Legacy personal training is absolutely exceptional!

I recently moved to AZ, and one goal I made before moving was to find a gym and get in the best shape of my life. Side note: I am 36, and do not have an athletic/gym history. I was naturally slim, and ate/drank whatever I wanted (meaning terrible things) ... until my 30s arrived and night shift catapulted me from a cool 130 lbs to 190. I assumed the weight would fall off once on days again. Negative. Y'all, I tried everything. But ultimately I lacked consistency and accountability. Plus, nursing has also awarded me with the back of a 90-year-old so these universally-tailored work outs didn't fly. Enter Legacy. Zach C. is warm, engaging, and passionate - and it's infectious. He essentially broke down what led to my weight gain, reassured my struggles, and mapped out opportunities. I signed that day, and started in mid May. I was terrified. But it didn't take long for me to fall in love with group fitness (a genuine no judgement zone), and most importantly - the trainers. All of them are incredible and really, really supportive! The trainer I probably work with the most is (also named) Zach. He pushes me beyond what I think I'm capable of every time. When I first started, I cringed over shoulder taps. That was until I met side planks. Now, I thank Jesus for shoulder taps. I'd never used a weight over 5 lbs - now I'm using 15 to 20 lbs. In the these last two months, I have not only lost weight, but gained skeletal muscle mass. That's also attributed to Brande, trainer/nutritionist/rockstar, who has helped me cultivate much better habits in the kitchen. And on the go. I am cooking more, drinking (a lot) less, meal prepping, and tracking my macros. I've always struggled with protein intake, and she has given me all the tools to meet my goals. Being a visual person, the biweekly body scan sheds all the light on meeting those goals. I can see what I'm losing/gaining and where. Initially it's very scary, but eventually it becomes a driver. I still have a longgggg way to go, and working on meeting my ultimate goal of being in the gym 3-4x a week. I committed to a year here, and recently accepted a staff position so I can stay. It's not totally ideal b/c I'm headed back to nights again - but overall it's temporary and I have a much better support system this go 'round. I've already received texts from Zach and Brande - where else do you get that? If you read this entire review - my apologies - it's so long. I just hope if you're at all like me, I promise you won't regret trying this out. It's the best decision I could have made. Thank you, Legacy!

Pulse and what it has already done for me in a few short weeks is hard to put into words. Full transparency here I didn't want to train at a place like this-I don't like to train in front or directly with others. So glad I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and reached out! Immediately I was met with true concern and care for my goals and where I am at in my health journey at this point. So why not try a week (3 workouts) and see how I feel. Well after my first week I was hooked! The trainers are amazing, the manager, Zach is too and they all seem to genuinely care. The atmosphere is always uplifting and encouraging. Yes, I am working out in front of others but I NEVER feel like I am competing with anyone but myself, we are all at different levels and we genuinely cheer each other on. Semi-private training is definitely what I have needed and again so glad I took the first scary step! I now actually look forward to my workouts and love that I can schedule them as far out as I want! Thank you Pulse, I am in it for the long haul and excited to see results! :)

My first week at Pulse Fitness. 6 straight days of awesomeness. Every question handled with great solutions personalized for me, every exercise spot on beneficial and great. Before joining Pulse, I attended various gyms over the years and tried out different "boot camp" deals I've come across.
This is the first place to which I feel I "belong". I'm not only impressed with the professionalism of the staff but, I genuinely like the other members too.
It's not a "meathead" gym nor is it one of those mega places where you're pretty much on your own and invisible.
The staff knows their stuff and seem to genuinely care about your fitness and well being. They are valuable resources of exercise, physical therapy and nutrition advice.
Other places I've tried left me with the impression that the boot camp trainers were making it up as they went or just winging it. I often felt that things were kind of sloppy and rather than thinking "that was a good workout" I felt injured or strained.
Here at Pulse, I've definitely worked myself hard but never felt like things were out of control or overdone.
It's fun, upbeat and I feel like I'm in good hands. I'm now in the best shape of my life.

Alright, start of the new year, I tried going to a Gym, first timer. I joked with the manager, Zach, he gave me 17 days. well I am into my 3rd month, and loving it.
Tracking body fat loss, muscle gain, its really cool.

Want more than a gym, but a lifestyle change, a home away from home? You should look no further than Pulse Fitness. It's been my healthy place since I joined four years ago. I utilize boot camp and personal training. Each trainer is professional and fun, and you can learn from all of them. They take the time to understand your goals, and work with you if you have any sore spots or injuries to help and overcome them. This is not a typical scottsdale gym, no one upping each other, no makeup needed, a gym hair, don't hair, kind of a place. I am happy with my fitness results through boot camps and personal training, and when I slack due to travel and life and kids, or whatever, they remind me to come back in, and don't make me feel bad about it. Come in and give it a try, you will be happy you did. And your body will thank you too. Oh...and grab a smoothie. They are delish.

Today I can’t imagine getting through the day without a workout at the gym - that’s how Pulse Fitness has transformed me and my fitness regime. I joined Pulse Fitness about 18 months ago after not being able to do much exercise for 7 years due to back problems.
Before joining Pulse Fitness, I visited several gyms. I knew that I didn’t want to join a large gym nor did I want to join a gym that is crowded with exercise equipment. Additionally, I was looking for customised personal/semi-personal training and flexible schedule.
Pulse Fitness offers exactly what I was looking for and MORE. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I also enjoy the bootcamp classes. My workout program combines semi-personal training and the bootcamp. Over the past year, I have seen the results not just in my overall fitness but also in my strength and endurance.
I must admit that I was initially a little intimidated by being at a gym, in fact being near any type of exercise. The Pulse Fitness coaches put me at ease by customising the training based on my physical fitness and goals. For the first time in my life, I feel confident enough to use any gym while I am travelling.
I don’t usually write reviews of any kind but I feel compelled to share my positive experience and give Pulse Fitness the recognition they deserve.
So, a big thanks to Pulse Fitness. I would have given 6 stars if I could!

I completed the 6wk challenge and lost nearly 9% body fat! The Pulse team helped me get back into the gym after a two year hiatus and upon completion I felt as if I had never missed a day. This program truly does work if you put the effort in to follow the meal plan. The meal plan they gave me was easy to follow and the workouts were tough enough with them that I didn't need to workout 6 or 7 days a week to meet my goal. Pulse caught my eye one day, with a free six-week weight loss challenge post on Facebook or Instagram... and wanting to turn the tide on the ever rising scale, I replied.
This was one sweet deal, and I'm so glad I was accepted! It started with an assessment, along with a meal plan. The food is the key. You cant out-train a bad diet, and Pulse gives you the tools to maintain a great diet!
I agreed to attend at least 3 boot camp sessions a week, for the duration of the challenge. The book camps are much like circuit training. Expect lots of squats, up-downs, and burpees. You'll be mixing it up with push-ups and planks. Then grab a 17lb weighted ball to see how high you can throw it, or raise a slam-ball high above your head and slam it into the ground! Want more? Hop on a stationary bike for quick, high intensity bursts, then plank with dumbells which you'll raise up, one arm at a time. Head over to the TRX straps for some rows or tricep extensions. Finally, grab the battle ropes, or push that weighted sled for 20 yards. You aint leavin till youre heavin!
Starting at 271, after 6 weeks, I dropped 29 lbs... and I have the tools to continue achieving success, all thanks to Pulse! Give them a try if you're serious about changing yourself

At the initial weigh in we were assigned a meal plan to follow along with bootcamp training 3 times a week. Through this journey we had 24 hr support from the team at Pulse Fitness for any questions and guidance. Finding a place you feel comfortable working out at is sometimes difficult to do. I hate "big box" gyms, fancy schmancy, expensive, exclusive, places don't work for me either (and really I only went to those places for the steam room - I LOVE steam rooms!! Hint, hint TJ )
Some women have to tear others down to make them feel better about themselves. But this never happens at Pulse because we seem to be a tight-knit little group (and well, we're just kinda that awesome!) We see the same people at BC or coming in for training. One never knows what someone else may be going through and just a smile, "you got this", or "have a great day" can really mean a lot to someone. That's what Pulse Fitness is all about.
So, I have to give a shout out to some people. First, the trainers are just awesome. They put a lot of effort into making the Boot Camps different every single day. Jenna, thanks for always making me smile even when I hate the workout and coming by to say hi or give me a high five before you go stretch someone. David, thanks for getting my eating under control. I love knowing I'm fueling my body properly and I'm seeing results (almost 20 pounds lost in 2 months)!!

I've always been somewhat in shape (or so I thought) and didn't have the worst nutrition habits. I've dabbled with different fitness routines from circuit training-type workouts, to wandering around various gyms, to just running (ugh) and I've never been able to push past the plateau; to really challenge myself; to be held accountable for MY results. That is until I found Pulse Fitness. This place and these trainers are no joke! They are educated and willing to share all of their knowledge with you to help you reach your fitness goals. I haven't been going to Pulse for very long, but I will never join a regular gym again. Tim, Chris, and David actually care about their clients. They follow-up on your progress, they push you further than you think you can go, they give you just the right combination of encouragement and smack talking to keep you motivated. I have been a member for two months and will be for life!!! I came to pulse not just obese but having a false sense of the right way to workout. All the trainers are very knowledge, friendly, and want to see their clients happy with their results. I tend to push myself beyond limits and when a muscle is sore or a joint is hurting the trainers modify the exercise to accommodate. They don't wanna "break" you like other trainers I have worked with they truly care about you getting results, feeling good about yourself, and most importantly doing it in the right way. They have healthy meal plans on the spot that you can buy after a workout or if your looking for something healthy to take to work for lunch. Go and meet the staff, watch a boot camp session it has been a wonderful experience. I am ending my 8 week "Biggest Loser" competition at Pulse and will be continuing my journey to a healthier me with Pulse. Thanks for changing my life Tim, Chris, Jenna, David, and fellow boot campers.

Some of the most impressive trainers I have seen in a long time. Each trainer actually has their own video to let you know a little bit more about them and their purpose. Great staff who are not only fun, but dedicated in getting you the results that you wish. They come highly recommended and Tim is GREAT! I love their energy and I am sure you will as well.

I joined Pulse Fitness in June of 2011 after I had been unsuccessful at a couple of different types of gyms. I took them up on offer to give the gym a try for one month to see if it was the right fit for me. Within a few sessions I was convinced that I would succeed in reaching my fitness goals by working out at Pulse. They offer many different programs for people of every fitness level and, even though I was in horrible shape when I joined, they never made me feel uncomfortable. They worked with me, gave me exercise and nutrition tips that helped me reach my goals. I am more confident in my athletic abilities now than I have ever been in my entire life, I reached my initial goals and have since established new goals to work on through the new year. I would highly recommend Pulse to anyone hoping to improve their health.

Very educated staff and leadership. Tim knows his stuff and is changing lives at Pulse Fitness. He truly cares about his clients and has great little events where you can learn a ton about nutrition and get your body fat tested to the T with specialists that come in with high end equipment! I joined Pulse Fitness 5 months ago after seeing a picture of myself from my bridal Shower and realized that I needed to lose weight and get in shape. Since then I have lost a lot of weight, gained muscle and just have such a better understanding of nutrition and my metabolism. The team at Pulse is VERY knowledgeable and are always guiding me on what I can do to achieve what ever goal I have with my body and nutrition. In addition the place is super clean and the people that work out there are very nice. The place has such a positive and motivating energy that I enjoy going there. I highly recommend this gym.

Love the concept at Pulse. I've had a few personal trainers in the past, and this has been a totally different experience. This is a very comprehensive and personalized approach to training. It's not the typical repetitive weight lifting over and over again. It feels like a mix of crossfit and biggest loser workouts. The owner and trainers are great, very knowledgeable and encouraging. They were able to spot some trouble areas for me and focus on stretching them out and strengthening them. They also offer group boot camp classes, that I'm looking forward to trying once I'm feeling a little more in shape!
Being close to AJ's also makes it easy to grab a healthy meal after your workout. You can also pop in next door to get your nails done or get a quick spray tan. If you're looking for a great environment to really get in shape, this is the way to go. It's not a "be seen" type of gym, people are serious about getting in shape here. Highly recommended!
