I had a very excellent massage yesterday with Liam, the new massage therapist at the LifeSpa. Liam’s technique, approach, and vibe are all excellent! I’ve received hundreds of professional massages over the years, and Liam’s massage was certainly among the Very Best!
Sam Hartman is my personal trainer at Lifetime for more than a year now, and he too is awesome to work with!
I am a member of Lifetime Biltmore for more than two years, and it seems that in the last two months, generally everything is improving. Keep up the good work!

Lifetime Biltmore is truly one of the best Lifetime clubs I’ve experienced. I’m extremely particular, and this location consistently impresses me. Jose is an absolute pro, Jamie is amazing and fantastic, and Christine has completely transformed this club into something that feels like a five-star resort.
The instructors are top-notch, inclusive, supportive, and always ready to help. Any issue that comes up is handled with care and professionalism. You will pay for quality, but this club absolutely lives up to the Lifetime brand. It’s a great place to work out, and the facility is super clean.
I did have a phone-related issue in the past, but over the last year, Christine’s leadership has made a huge difference. The energy, service, and overall experience have all improved dramatically. While the front desk could improve—sometimes they feel a bit disengaged—that is my only minor complaint in an otherwise stellar experience.
If you’re looking for incredible instructors and a welcoming, high-quality fitness environment, this is the place.

I wanted to take a moment to share some feedback about an experience I had a few months ago with the Pilates intro class at your facility. I’ve taken some time to reflect on it, and I feel it’s important to voice this, both for my own peace of mind and in hopes it can contribute to an even better experience for others.
A bit of background: I was a Lifetime member when this location first opened and always appreciated the overall quality, amenities, and welcoming environment your team provides. After ending my membership in 2021, I recently returned because I truly value what Lifetime offers, it's always felt like more than just a gym.
I was excited to try the Pilates program, especially since I’ve been regularly attending classes at various local studios across AZ. When I learned that Lifetime offered Pilates for an additional cost, I didn’t hesitate to sign up for the intro session, expecting a welcoming introduction into the program. However, I was surprised to learn that the session was more of an assessment to determine if I was “able” to participate in the classes. While I understand the importance of safety and proper alignment, the tone of the session felt less supportive and more evaluative than I had anticipated.
Unfortunately, my experience with the instructor, Susan Crescini, left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. Her approach came across as passive-aggressive, and I left the session feeling as though I had somehow wasted her time. As someone who is still fairly new to Pilates, but eager to learn—I was not expecting to feel “graded” or judged on my ability to participate.
Afterward, I was contacted by Derek, one of the Fitness Coaches, and Val, the Concierge Supervisor, to share my concerns. They were kind and receptive, and I appreciated them taking the time to listen. Still, the experience left me with an unsettling feeling. I want to be clear that this feedback isn’t meant to tear anyone down, but rather to advocate for a more inclusive and supportive environment. I believe that fitness spaces, especially those promoting wellness practices like Pilates should be accessible to all levels, and that learning and growth should be met with encouragement, not gatekeeping. But, I want to emphasize that I remain a committed member and will continue working out at Lifetime. I’ve had positive experiences with many other staff members, particularly Sam Hartman, one of the physical therapist. I recently had a session with him to address sciatic pain in my hip, and he was incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and helpful.

Warning - confirm the price before beginning your service - Lifespa has overcharged me on two separate occasions!!!
Most recently - I went for a haircut on October 14 at 6pm - right before close. The receptionist asked if she could close me out and charge my tab (I’m a club member) and I agreed. Unbeknownst to me - they charged me an additional $30 dollars - on top of the price which was quoted in the app and stated in my confirmation email. When I called to address this the manager said she’d refund the overcharge - but has failed to do so.
I followed up via email several days later. No response or refund was received as of this posting. Super disappointing.

I went in to discuss membership. The girl at the front desk was so rude and offputting. I could barely get information from her. She acted like she was way too good to provide any information and extremely unwelcoming. We walked out the door, went to the village and joined the village. I could not believe we were treated so poorly, especially by someone working at the front desk: When someone’s walking in to join a club, you would think they would get a Warmer reception maybe they have two too many members?

It's a good gym but at premium pricing one would hope for better attention to details. Challenges on air-conditioning this past Summer consistent lengthy shutdowns for maintenance (repair) on Spa amenities like steam and sauna rooms and a lack of attention to programming the TVs to current live events falls short of a premium experience. The staff is super friendly but often not empowered to tune a TV onto a playoff game or Sunday football.

Club is in terrible condition. No need for a sauna/steam room, entire club feels like it’s 100°, has been for years, and just excuses (or they tell you it’s not actually hot, all in your head).
Only LT I’ve been to in this condition, at this price. I recommend keep looking.

While there has been a noticeable decline over the years in the facility, the location is still on of the best gyms in the metro Phoenix area. Though the steady increase in pricing every year is also starting to become more prominent when the facilities take extensive periods to repair/refurbish the location
An added bonus is seeing the sunrise prior to staring the day.

Deleted my 1 star review from years ago to give them a fresh 1 star review.
I will start off by saying the current GM is the worst. She threatens my membership all because I have given her a laundry list of things wrong with the facility.
Her pathetic response was “you’re just being negative”
No I have given you legit concerns and I will put them on blast now.
I signed up for this facility at 119 a month with no upgrade fee from Tempe location.
I am now 250 a month and the place has been declining.
Giant water leak on third floor that destroyed a bunch of ellipticals on the walk way to the court.
Speaking of the court there has been a giant mold stain on the court that hasn’t been fixed. All because they are contemplating on taking it away for stupid pickleball. That mold stain combined with the lack of detail to actually cleaning the hardwood, someone is going to get hurt.
The steam room has been out in the men’s room for three months. And as soon as they fixed it they upped rates.
I had a personal meeting with the GM about price jumps and she had the nerve to say that rates might go up again after they tint the windows on the second floor to make it cooler.
Last time I checked. Maintenance and repairs don’t justify a price increase. Quit being cheapskates and pay for your repairs out of pocket instead of using your members.
Speaking of temperature. A trainer that works there told me that the AC has been out again on the gym floor and that it gets above 90 degrees in there. Oh and the funniest part is he told me this at an EOS gym. Even their employees don’t want to be there.
They have created a culture of snobs and rude people. And even worse they turn a blind eye to their founding members.
I loved lifetime. I’m an ex athlete. I loved the lifetime brand because they made me feel like I could “never retire”
And now it’s a sad place of social status and rude management. I feel bad for the super star members of the staff like Val, Lexi, Michelle, shaiann, and a few others. They don’t deserve to be represented by such a failure of a brand.
Best idea I gave them was to grandfather their founding members because there’s honestly not a lot left. They didn’t even check or entertain it for me. They are a bottom line company.
You get me back under 175 a month and fix that basketball court I’ll be a happy customer again. Plain and simple.

Great gym and great people. Would give 5 stars but the Air Conditioning is often not working at ideal temperatures throughout the summer. The GM says it has been fixed but there is obviously still issues. Just fix the AC and Make Lifetime Great Again.

Loretta is THE BEST! If you're looking for an amazing personal trainer, she's the one! She has transformed the way that I workout. Loretta gave me a roadmap on how to eat and what exercises to do to achieve my fitness goals. I wanted to look more toned and gain some muscle (something that has always been a struggle for me), and within a couple weeks, I had already gained two pounds of muscle. My friends and family have even commented that I look stronger than I ever have. Loretta is also always upbeat and easy to get along with, and I look forward to our sessions. She pushes me to work my hardest and has shown me the correct way to do many exercises. It's crazy how a tiny tweak in form can make an exercise so much harder, so that you know you're doing it right and truly working your muscles. She also doubles as a life coach and motivates me in other areas of my life! :-D I highly recommend her if you're looking for a trainer at Lifetime!

The skeleton/weekend morning front desk staff seem to have lesser training than the weekday morning staff. One desk person in particular is Anhara. I asked her name specifically so I could write this review. Every Saturday morning when I come in to work out she is there with a non verbal, unwelcoming/scowling demeanor, guarding over the I.D. scanner and entryway who refuses to greet patrons. I still politely speak first, but always think to myself what an unacceptable level of customer service that needs some attention from management. As the first person that a member sees walking into a health club, she should be more friendly and exude more inviting qualities. It should never be upon the patron to greet the employee first. For the quality at LifeTime, I expect better.

I’ve been going to Lifetime for years, and while I love the club, I’ve unfortunately had a few experiences where showing up just a few minutes late to class due to a hectic schedule or something unexpected has been met with frustration, disrespect or even being turned away. That’s why today’s experience with Danielle stood out so much.
Not only was I on time, but there were about six more attendees than were originally registered. Rather than giving attitude or turning people away, Danielle welcomed every single person with open arms and genuine enthusiasm. You could tell she was just thrilled that so many people showed up to move their bodies and commit to their goals.
She went above and beyond by splitting the class half cardio and half weights so that everyone could get coached and feel included! Such a thoughtful, inclusive approach. Danielle is a phenomenal coach, and Lifetime is lucky to have her. I truly hope she’s able to teach more classes at the Biltmore location soon. What an incredible energy to start a Sunday morning!

I used to love this gym, but it has gone completely downhill. I was a loyal customer at the Life Spa, going to Chrissy for a couple of years now. I heard she recently got fired, not sure why, but I will not be returning to this spa ever again. Despite her not having a good manager, she stayed working there because she had loyal customers and didn't want to just up and go. I've had an issue with this manager when she worked at North Scottsdale, so I wasn't happy when she moved to Biltmore, but I stayed going because of Chrissy. She was the best nail tech, so I'm very sad to see her leave.

Disappointed with the lack of maintenance at a gym charging premium fees. Persistent roof leaks pose safety risks and are often left unattended. I can't say enough good things about my experience with Sarah at Lifetime Spa! After years of trying to lighten my dark hair, I finally found the perfect person to help me achieve my blonde hair goals. She is incredibly talented and truly understands the intricacies of color and how to make the transformation seamless and beautiful.
The atmosphere at the spa is just as amazing as the service. It's always inviting and impeccably clean, which definitely adds to the overall experience. I always feel relaxed and pampered during my visits.
If you're looking to go blonde (or just want an amazing haircut), I highly recommend booking an appointment with her. You won't be disappointed! Thank you for always making my hair dreams come true! 💕

It’s honestly impressive how few bad reviews there are—maybe they got lost somewhere between the broken AC and the permanently “under repair” amenities. The building’s been falling apart since day one, but hey, who needs functioning facilities when you’ve got attitude?
The staff? Oh, they’re delightful—if you’re into the whole “too cool to help” vibe. Think less hospitality, more high school clique that somehow ended up managing a gym. Ask a simple question and prepare to be met with a sigh, an eye roll, or both.
Dare to mention in a survey that upper management might be asleep at the wheel? Boom—your rates mysteriously go up, but don’t worry, they’ll assure you it’s all part of their plan to “improve the club.” Improvements like a steam room that’s been out of order longer than some people’s gym memberships.
The gym is packed to the gills, but don’t worry, there’s a “waitlist”—which is apparently code for “we’ll let your friend in tomorrow if they ask nicely.” Honestly, it feels like the staff were trained in a used car lot before pivoting to overpriced gym memberships.
They throw fancy little parties for the same 12 members while the rest of us navigate locker room floors that double as slip-and-slides. And cleanliness? Let’s just say it builds character.
All in all, if you’re looking for a gym where everything’s broken, the staff act like you’re the inconvenience, and your rates go up for fun—look no further

Canceled membership and happy! LA Fitness is honestly better. The AC still doesn’t work correctly and there are broken machines every time I walk in. Water fountains are warm water. Locker rooms are not very clean. It also costs a car payment to workout here. Its also very crowded early mornings and late night--they have oversold the memberships BIG TIME for this small space! Definitely not worth the price. AC issue is probably a health hazard given the extreme heat in AZ. Other members are frustrated and complaints continue to be ignored by upper management. Fashion Square location is great as are most of the suburban ones! Biltmore is just awful.

I want to share my horrible experience with lifetime fitness and its corporate office I join lifetime fitness a little while it was a senior member to try to get my health and check and did join the Biltmore location as I was allotted to the experiences that I've had at this location have been discriminatory to say the least I have been singled out in regards to the amount of towels I can use they have made it a point to tell seniors when and when they can't use the gym and the discriminatory action is such that I stop going to that location for literally over 2 to 3 years and went back recently and was told by one of the staff that they recognized me while the other members checked in to use the facility My membership was dug in look through scrutinized before I used the facility and was told that they would let me use it this time now they have told a particular class of people they can only use certain facilities if you're in exclusive upper crust you can use the Camelback and Scottsdale road location if you are senior with a health plan You can only use Gilbert and Tempe location but you can't use the Biltmore or any other location if you're on a particular insurance plan I called the corporate office and requested to speak with a district manager and I swear that I was yelled at bye I'm assuming the district manager as he said he was at the top of his lungs through the phone very rude obnoxious person talking over me yelling at me i haven't gone to the Biltmore in a very long time I really don't want to go back to lifetime fitness because of the The way I was treated and from corporate. Now as far as the Tempe location is concerned it is out of my way but I must say that the least the management there is very kind and courteous but as far as the corporate structure it is horrendous and discriminatory. And being discriminatory letting other particular race of people check into use the facility and with me having to have a full complete dug up of my membership standing for a good 5 to 15 minutes and being told literally from 3 years ago that they recognize me other members using the towels and I get the blame if I use towels It is horrendous It's even more horrendous that the insurance company is allowing this kind of treatment of seniors

If you needed a sign to join Lifetime, this is it. I love this gym so much. I easily spend like 3 hours here doing classes, machines, and the incredible jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, & cold plunge. (The steam room and sauna are so spacious I love it). I leave feeling SO good. My fav is also reformer pilates once a week and I look forward to it so much! Some amazing instructors I’ve taken from are Tyler, Veronica, Lisa, & Lauren. 10000/10 recommend doing reformer here specifically because there’s only 6 spots so the teachers are really able to help and assist you. You build so much strength it’s life changing. Also shoutout to Tami in the women’s locker room for always keeping it so clean. Lifetime Biltmore is the best gym in town. The amenities, staff, trainers, cleanliness, rooftop pool, café, etc. are best in class. the fitness classes are top notch too. I have been taking reformer Pilates for over two years now and the classes are amazing, and the instructors are incredible. Tyler leads the team and really challenges us to be the best we can be. His classes are challenging yet very enjoyable with great camaraderie. My core has never been stronger. Veronica is another amazing instructor, incredibly hard in a classical format with an amazing music selection. And Gina is an incredible personal trainer who works well with student athletes. A majority of the classes do not have an extra fee which really should be the case for all classes.

I joined this gym at the beginning of the year and have loved it so far. I’m mainly a fitness class lover vs always on the gym floor and I think this gym is perfect for anyone like me. While membership is pricey, I still feel like I am paying less than I would by having 3 different memberships at other studios (Pilates, cycling, yoga etc). It’s a one stop shop. I have been taking the Reformer Pilates classes with Tyler for 1 1/2 months now and absolutely love these classes. I have never taken a Pilates class with an instructor that really focuses on proper form while constantly providing a challenging class. Tyler has a way of absolutely torturing our bodies (in the best way!) but somehow making us forget about it by making us laugh nonstop. It’s definitely an investment to pay for the Pilates classes on top of the membership, but I have already seen my body change for the better in such a short time. I genuinely enjoy my time at Lifetime so much so that I can spend hours of my day here!

As a founding member of Life Time, I can say the gym is stunning, with incredible amenities. However, the ongoing air conditioning issues continue to be ignored, and management has failed to provide a lasting solution. If it weren’t for my amazing Pilates instructor, Tyler, I would have canceled my membership a year ago.
The Pilates studio is top-notch, and taking classes twice a week has completely resolved my lower back issues. While the studio comes at an additional cost on top of an already exorbitant membership fee, good back health is priceless. Tyler is an exceptional instructor—knowledgeable, attentive, and always ready to offer modifications based on individual needs. Plus, his engaging and entertaining approach makes every class enjoyable.
At this point, Tyler is the only reason I’m keeping my membership. To Life Time management: Please, once and for all, resolve the air conditioning issues.

Lifetime Biltmore is INCREDIBLE. I could go on and on about the amenities, staff, people, cleanliness, rooftop pool, etc. However specifically wanted to write a review for Pilates. I have done mat/reformer and numerous studios and nothing compares to the quality of classes at Lifetime. I have only done classes with Tyler (reformer) and Kat (mat) and they are two of the most knowledgeable/easy to follow/engaging/incredible instructors. The reformer classes are also relatively small so it is a very personalized class experience. Truly the best of the best!

Absolutely too many members here. We pay a premium for childcare and show up and there is no childcare available. There’s also no reservation list for our child’s age group and it is VERY disappointing to come here and not be able to work out. If we had known in advance we would have gone at a different time or brought our swim things.
Also please do a better job at keeping the stair steppers and treadmills in working order or at least label them promptly when they are broken 🙃

I’ve been a member of Lifetime Gym at the Biltmore location for a while now, and unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of disheartening. On the surface, the facility looks gorgeous, and offerings like the rooftop yoga classes are a nice touch. But don’t let that fool you into thinking you’re going to get what you pay for because at Lifetime, a hefty membership fee does not equate to respectful or responsive service.
From day one, I felt out of place and uncomfortable in the space. The atmosphere at Biltmore lacks inclusiveness, and it’s hard not to notice how little they seem to care about making all members feel welcome. As a Black woman, I expected a higher standard of inclusivity from a place charging such premium prices, but instead, I was met with an environment where I felt overlooked and uncomfortable more often than not.
The so-called “concierge” service is another major issue. They claim to be attentive, but when I attempted to cancel my membership, I was met with endless delays, miscommunication, and complete disregard for my time and money. Despite sending an email to cancel on September 29th, they claimed I never submitted a form, leading to additional charges that they refuse to refund. It’s frustrating and speaks to their lack of care for their members. Once they have your money, good luck getting any resolution.
The locker rooms, while modern in appearance, could be much better maintained given the cost of membership. You expect a spa-like experience, but that’s not what you get here.
Honestly, I should’ve saved my money and joined EŌS Fitness. Not only do they offer comparable amenities, but the prices are far more reasonable, and their members are treated with more respect. Lifetime Biltmore could learn a thing or two about real customer service and community inclusiveness from gyms like EŌS. The difference is night and day, and at EŌS, the lower price is just icing on the cake.

Spend $450 a month to deal with bloody spas and floors. Mention it to the staff and they look at you like it’s impossible. It’s ok go shower and get salt water from the shower to rinse it off. Wait that’s not kosher call the gm, wait she’s busy here’s a voicemail she won’t call you back. It’s ok call the corporate number, but wait they are only open a few hours a week, just call back.
Lifetime has lost its identify, I spent years evangelizing their model, it was a lifestyle destination, I work out 6-7 days a week, I travel and enjoyed their locations.
Today it’s a horrible experience and it seems this is the place to vocalize the mess and reality. Hi Mary (gm)! Ruben here, been in your office sharing the good, the bad over a vm cause your won’t answer and here’s the ugly. You guys are a mess.

Lifetime Fitness Biltmore is where I workout and spend time keeping myself in shape and motivated to continue this way of life. The Management and Staff at the Biltmore Location are excellent and I’m writing this to let them know how much I appreciate all they do not just for me but for all those that attend this location. Starting from the Gen Mgr Mary who is there leader and I can see why because she is a spark plug who fuels the staff. Then there is Val the concierge mgr what a guy ! He is on top of it all. He kind polite and knowledgeable. Then the staff and for now I will pick out 2 special people who are my favorites Daniel and Jeremy who work the front desk. They are the pulse they set the tone up front. Special guys ! They also hired a new bright spot Grace who is too new for me to comment on ! But if Val hired her it’s a home run ! Lifetime is a more of a community and the people that run it are amazing. Lifetime Corporate should count there blessings on what a terrific job they do to represent the Lifetime Brand

I wanted to really enjoy my experience when I visited Lifetime Biltmore I did not. It was overcrowded with equipment and people. The staff was not friendly and did not acknowledge me when I said hello. Additionally, the pool area had trash and accumulation of towels. It is a great location but the facility tired and sorely in need of a touch up with just some paint and a deep clean
Once again, I really wanted to enjoy lifetime as I do at my home Lifetime gym

Worst Lifetime Fitness location and it’s one of the most expensive. Honestly LA fitness is cleaner and more organized.
Lifetime Fitness Biltmore is dirty. The machines are dirty and has grime on them. There equipment laying around everywhere and almost tripped.
There are 0 places to seat. I got off the treadmill about to faint because there are literally no chairs or seats at all for members anywhere on the gym floor. That’s insane, at other locations there’s places to sit.
The locker rooms are full of used towels everywhere. Some lockers locks are hard to get open. The sauna is at a lower temperature compared to other lifetime locations.
They close early on Saturday and every 6 months they keep raising their rates without providing anything that is worth the value. I don’t get anything out of my membership besides a dirty disorganized location. I go to the North Scottsdale location because it’s better honestly.
The staff are always non welcoming and snobby at this location. I don’t know if they are trying to hire specific type of staff here, but they are by far the worst I’ve experienced at any gym or LifeTime location throughout the country.

No AC ON THE FITNESS FLOOR FOR OVER 2 MONTHS AND WE ARE IN THE HOTTEST LIVEABLE CITY IN THE UNITED STATES. Paying $350 a month, management doesn’t notify members so until we arrive we have no idea of anything working, shower temperatures haven’t been working for a few months, fitness floor looks like trash, cardio equipment been out for months. No AC, and not even a $1 gift card given to members. It’s an additional $150 for access to this particular location alone and this is what is taking place so save your money and join the NON premium lifetime locations as they are MUCH better.

Update: workout floor is very hot and humid, they do not run the AC enough to keep up with summer temps.
Very nice gym in a convenient location. However, it is often overcrowded and not the cleanest. The alpha classes scheduled during peak times using most of the squat racks is very frustrating. It feels like the gym isn’t big enough at times. The locker rooms and especially the restrooms in the locker rooms are dirty and smelly every time I’ve been there.
Overall, it’s a nice gym but not the premium experience I would expect for the price.

I’m a recent new member and within a couple of workouts it was very difficult to find a working treadmill. There are about 8-10 treadmills that don’t operate. After submitting a request to the front desk about the broken treadmills they told me they have no idea when they will be repaired. I immediately contacted the GM and was told they’re working on hiring a technician. A few weeks passed by and the treadmills still remain broken. Also, it’s extremely hot and humid within the facility making it unbearable to workout. Lastly, they increase your costly dues every month without notice. Caveat emptor “buyer beware”.

You would think the gym can afford AC when we pay them so much money every month. My family alone gives them at least $700 a month. They continue to suggest it’ll be fixed but it’s not. I suspect it’s not even broken. They just won’t run it to keep up with summer/monsoon season. On top of this, they charge for other services that are not included in the fees, other areas of the gym are regularly down for maintenance, and every few months they raise our membership fees. Obviously, several of us are willing to pay the money, but the least they could do is keep it a comfortable working gym. Instead every class is hot yoga. Hot barre. Hot Pilates. Hot strength training.

Update to review:
This club under new management has become cleaner, however, it’s in uninhabitable currently and they don’t seem to care in the slightest. 85° and so humid you can see fog on the mirrors, I’ve been blatantly lied to that the club is maintained at 74° at all times. They will never miss an opportunity to raise your member dues, but can’t find the time to respond to you on the poor condition of the facilities.
LT has some incredible clubs, however, this location is very poorly managed. Constantly raises rates while diminishing services.
Locker rooms are often flooded with wet floors, bandaids near hot/cold plunges, dirty towels everywhere. Not uncommon to have zero towels in the locker room, and more often than not, missing amenities like hair dryers, lotion, shaving cream/razors, etc you would expect at any other Lifetime “athletic country club”.
Over the years we’ve had non functioning AC in the summer time, weights unorganized and in the wrong places, missing soap dispensers, broken and or green hot tubs, no clean towels in locker room.
They won’t forget to increase your dues repeatedly though!

Air temp and humidity in the weight room is seriously unbearable, arguably dangerous. Notoriously high-profit club dues get your concerns ignored (not even acknowledged!) and unaddressed, but they certainly don’t get the floors cleaned. Willful indifference or incompetence is unknowable, given non-existent communication, but what difference does it make? Members are all so overheated and frustrated they leave the equipment disorganized and covered in sweat and smell. Management has really great communication about the latest desperate botox deals, so maybe a rogue employee with an ounce of empathy and sense of duty could sneak in a footnote about baseline maintenance status?
Forgot to mention they apparently dilute the hand soap in the men’s locker room, which is unsanitary and disgusting. Unreal.
Maybe putting membership on hold and joining EOS for the summers is the way to go.

The staff is so friendly! The gym community is so inclusive and as a newcomer I felt so welcome and was able to work out without feeling judged or out of place. However, it is so hot! Even in the morning you sweat just from simply walking on the treadmill for 15 minutes, and the water there is terrible so I make sure to always bring my own. For such an expensive gym I was a bit disappointed by the lack of proper air conditioning and the water filtration system.

They also give you a full tour of LifeTime Fitness & you get to see all the state of the art workout equipment as well as meet the technicians & have delicious horderves & snacks :) This particular day ROSE a new esthetician was celebrated & welcomed. Who is outside in 110 degree weather during those hours? 10am Aqua aerobics let's out and you are missing 20 plus customers with that late opening time. It would be great if they could fix the elevator down to the women's locker rooms from the pool deck, heard it's been out of service for over a month. For $300 monthly it would also be amazing to have locker rental available. I hate having to lug my gear back and forth. The hot tub in the womens locker room also has a mold on the filters .

Edit to update: I have decided that I have to file a police report. This is BONKERS.
the GM Mary called me today. Actually she called my cell but was looking for my boyfriend. I was a member there also. The account is in my name. I was the one who asked to be called.
What is this, the 1950s throw back? Why on earth would she call HIM when it was my bag and I made the complain. Then she sounded REALLY put out that she couldn’t just hang up on me and call him.
She was BEYOND condescending. She spoke over me, had an agenda, and was INCREDIBLY rude.
I told her I wanted the bag replaced.
She said she would order me a LifeTime bag. I honestly thought she was joking. She was SO condescending in her tone and speech. She said she was “absolutely not going to buy me a new bag” but she would credit my account for the price. I’m still out a diaper bag. And she made it sound like she was doing me this huge favor! Like I should have been thanking her profusely for her fake generosity.
She told me that her employees “threw away” a $200 bag. I asked her if she was being serious with that story. We specifically asked for it to be held and it was less than a week in the lost and found. It HAD MY DAUGHTERS NAME ON IT. My kids go there every single weekend, twice. There was NO REASON it couldn’t have been returned to us.
This club is a FORTUNE and they treat their customers like an absolute inconvenience.
She also told me that her employees all said that I was rude and cursed at them. I absolutely did not! She took their word that they simply “threw away” a brand new $200 bag, but not my word.
Mary is a literal nightmare and a stain on women in management.
—————
My boyfriend has been a longtime member (years, we’ve spent thousands at this location). He accidentally left our daughter’s diaper bag at the kids center. He called and they said they had it and would put it aside for him.
Well, one of their employees stole it. It was a gift, lululemon, and expensive for a diaper bag. It also had a keepsake in it from the night my daughter was born.
It’s been weeks of going back and forth with them. The manager apparently said she was going to order a new one and did not.
We keep getting the run around even though they have admitted and acknowledged that their employee took it, it has not been resolved. This is taking up hours of time, and obviously we are without the diaper bag we need.
Spent an hour on the phone this morning and still no answers.
Edited to add, employees sound absolutely terrified of their GM Mary. I wonder why that is? Maybe they noticed things go missing around certain people?
This is how they treat members in good standing. Just keep that in mind when joining.

LT is a fantastic gym with an ideal location. The spa is excellent, and the steam bath is the best. However, the maintenance of the equipment is subpar. It typically takes about two to three months for a broken machine to be repaired. Additionally, there is only one abductor machine, which has been out of order for nine weeks now and still hasn't been fixed. Given the slow repair times, it would be beneficial to have at least two machines of the same type. Unfortunately, this sole abductor machine is operational for only about three months a year; it's out of order the other nine months. This is very disappointing.

Not getting rid of my past review as it shows how a horrible a manager can destroy a business by having no customer service. There is a new manager here and things have shifted incredibly. She takes feedback from members and quickly takes action. Finally new towels! New shower products. Regular cleaning! A happy front desk staff! They increased the workout floor in size by getting rid of unused areas. Management makes the world of difference. My question is though.. will our rates drop being the previous manager increased them every 6-8 months for 2 years and prices are higher here than gyms in LA.
OLD REVIEW: This gym should be a 911 to corporate. This is the highest costing diamond club in the valley and they are failing all around. One, they can’t keep staffing so in turn there is never towels in the locker room. They have an attendant currently walking around handing out towels by request vs just folding towels and putting them on the shelves.
There is 3 showers currently not working. The water pressure and piping at this gym has been getting worse rapidly. The issue here is that no one in management uses the facilities to know if anything needs maintenance. They rely on members to complain. This is the worst business motto. I currently could go to LA fitness and get people who care more about the shower area.
From a business stand point, the management here needs to tell their regional manager what’s going on so they can actually get support.
The reason this gym got ranked 2 stars is that it has a nice gym floor, pool and classes. The rest of it needs 911 support. I also hate writing this right now as I enjoy a few members on the management team here but this is not ok.

The worst part of this high dollar gym is the super slippery floors around the hot tub and plunge pool. North Scottsdale and many other Lifetime facilities do not have this problem, nor do they ignore it when brought to their attention. I have a deep affection for my gym, but the continuous increase in membership fees has been a cause of concern. Considering the already high cost of living, it seems I may have to make the difficult decision to terminate my membership and seek an alternative fitness center. This decision saddens me greatly, as I primarily utilize the weight room for my workouts.
The situation is exacerbated by the fact that I am unable to access the recovery room, even if I wanted to, as it requires an additional $150 membership fee for entry, which adds to the overall frustration.

Really like the gym classes and the instructors, but am really disappointed by the management and the frequent premium increases of $20 at a time.
Initially when I joined during covid, the food and drinks were much more reasonable priced. There was also live music on the weekends.
Now it seems overly crowded and hot in the summers. And the regular increases in rates is really frustrating.
I joined in early 2021 for $300 for me and my husband. He hardly goes so we took him off the membership. I was told that was an option when I first joined and that I could adjust to $200 a month.
In Dec. 2021, the front desk staff told me that it'd be $225 for just me and the only way that they could honor the $200 was if I removed him permanently. So I agreed to that. A few days later they came back and said actually they can't honor that rate.
It's now been increased twice since that and will be almost as much as I was paying for both of us for just me. I have friends that have gotten discounted rates and have reached out to management but they do not seem to care about their members.

The gym is back to being disgusting. It's so hot that people leave trails of sweat everywhere they go. The manager, Kayla, sweats all over machines and then does not wipe them off. I have witnessed this happen multiple times and notified corporate. Nothing happened. She must have dirt on this place or there is no way she would still be employed. Great way to lead by example.
There is no time this place is not busy. It's oversold beyond belief. They refuse to put up shades and the Arizona sun fills the club in the warmer months, making it intolerable in the afternoon. I was told that Life Time does not use shades in any of their clubs on the workout floor. They also built the outside of the club with a type of rock that does not do well in heat and now it has a net over it since pieces are falling off. Weird to dig your heels in just because it's "always how you do it" throwing logic out the window.
I like getting my nails done in the spa by Brittany and the smoothies in the cafe are good.

Super sweet place but it seems like one of your managers makes the employees walk on egg shells around him. I think i overheard his name was Steve. I went two times on guest passes with some friends but I don't think I can support a place that mistreats its employees to where they look like a mistreated child. They are usually so nice and friendly but they look soulless after they interact with him. I hope y'all figure it out.

So I guess we now pay a premium to swim with roaches in the pool…great location, great facility but remember, there’s never just “one roach”.
Update: Weeks later, changed my review to a one star because there’s another roach only this time outside of the pool. We did not sign up for this among other things.

I’ve been a member here a year and a half. I’ve been training with Susan for 8 months and it’s been life changing. The most personable and elite trainer I’ve had my entire life. And yes…. I’ve had many. The rooftop bar/ pool gets me through the week and always makes this membership worth it. Kayla the general manager introduced herself to me right when I joined and it is so nice to have found a community in Biltmore. Also Alesia is rocking the kids club. A+ club. I cannot wait to bring my entire family here.

I love this club. It is absolutely stunning and the moment you enter you feel the elite vibe. It's the best place to recharge, invest in your health, and find good community. Where ever I visit in the club whether it's the sushi lounge, kid's department, spa, and cafe I feel all the warmth from the staff. It was so easy to get connected even to the trainers who are all over!! I'm also always seeing people cleaning and keeping up with the demands of such a spectacular place. I've visited all the other Life Times in the valley and there is NONE like Biltmore. It's your one stop shop for all the things you need.

small gym , always waiting on equipment, benches, weights but the staff and the people are really nice and aware that it’s limited equipment so they are usually kind enough to take turns during sets.

Life Time Fitness in the Biltmore center (2502 Camelback Rd., Phoenix Arizona) is second to no place. It is well staffed, very clean, has lots of exercise equipment and a ton of classes. Personally I love the steam room and cold plunge pool and a sushi bar. On the roof they have a beautiful pool with a view of the local mountains, cabanas, loads of lounges and pool service. What more could anyone want in a fitness club.

Good gym for working out. All the machines and weights you would need. Always get a great workout. HOWEVER, major issues with membership management. My DUES WERE RAISED TWICE IN ONE YEAR. When I asked for more information I was transferred back and forth from corporate. Still waiting for a call back from corporate as to why I was chosen for a dues increase while others were not (that was 5 months ago). Some people get their dues lowered if they talk to management. I didn't. Guess I don't know the right people. Still work out here but wish they did a better job of taking care of their members. I did complain once about the cleanliness of the locker room which still tends to be clean and not clean with some amenities broken at times like the steam and sauna. Overall a great gym just needs better management.

The wet areas in this gym are very poorly maintained. 2-3 of the showers are routinely down. Sauna, Cold Plunge and Steam room are rarely all three in operation. Not enough staff to keep clean towels, maintain cleanliness.
The gym very quickly loses its appeal when you have to navigate the gross shower areas day after day. Visible Mold, bad smells, etc.
For this facility, location, and price point, management has done a laughable job. Although there is great potential at this location, the current conditions are one I would advise to stay far away from. The issues at this club should really be escalated to a higher level manager
Update 4.12.2023
Sauna and Cold Plunge are routinely down. Basketball Main court has been broken for months. Management is truly incompetent here. The showers areas are disgusting. There are LA fitness locations in the area that are managed much better than this. What a joke. Who is the manager? Corporate needs to get involved here

Solid gym and we enjoy coming here however things that should work often don't such as the hot tubs and shower heat; for the membership price, the management doesn't pay great care or attention to detail (app classes that you can sign up for are not always accurate, etc.)
Better than LA Fitness if you can afford it UNLESS you like to swim laps - LA Fitness is better for lap swimming as this gym does not have a true lap pool and is often filled to prevent lap swimming.
The family changing room can be a bit creepy as sometimes couples without kids and single men without kids use the space and it isn't as thoroughly cleaned as other spaces.
It is less crowded than LA Fitness but can still be challenging to find equipment during peak hours.
The childcare center is EXCELLENT (and 5 stars.)

My experience with Lifetime Biltmore was phenomenal starting with the warmth, professionalism and competence of Alexis who enrolled me in membership. When I needed to follow up on completing my membership, I had another amazing experience with Loryn. When you walk into the door, you immediately feel the upbeat and positive energy and culture to serve and make you feel better. So I was curious to know who runs this ship and to my delight I met the manager, Bella who shared a few gems of creating the positive culture in the place! I love it!!!

This location is always having issues even though the members are paying close to $300 per month. The basketball gym has been broken for over a month now and the staff lies about the date it will be fixed. The sauna smells heinous and is broken half the time. Oh, and let's not forget the weekly shower issues... it really feels like every member is getting ripped off. FIX THE ISSUES

The gyms amenities like cold plunge, sauna, steam and hot tub are rarely functional and has gotten progressively worse over the years. The cold plunge when “functional” will be green like a lagoon often! The basketball court has been non functioning for a month and prior to that had non stop leaks from the ceiling. The dues keep increasing but the facilities keep deteriorating which doesn’t make sense. The expectation isn’t if the facilities are functional but how many of the amenities won’t be available on any given day. I’d highly recommend you consider a different establishment as it doesn’t appear that client experience is a high priority for management.

Have continued to raise rates without any quality improvements. Sauna, cold plunge and hot tub are routinely down. Basketball court has a hoop with rim taken off for nearly a month with promise of repair 3/30 changed to 4/2. Today still repair hasn’t even been started, not the product a gym with this membership rate should be putting out.

When signing up for this gym today, I was given a full tour right away! I was concerned about the childcare, so Loryn took us straight back & introduced us to the employees running the childcare center who were friendly and immediately greeted my kiddos. I am wanting to get back into shape ~5 months postpartum & was introduced to a postpartum specialist - Kenleigh. Loryn answered my many questions with a professional and polite manner - she really knows what she is doing! I hope she makes commission because her attitude & support were big reasons why I signed up. I’m excited to write a review of the facility once I actually try it but I had to shout out Loryn - she was great! I have signed up for other gyms in the past & left feeling confused, misunderstood or pressured into something I didn’t really want. That was not the case here. Thanks Loryn!

I came to this gym because I thought it was nice and convenient to where I work… I never normally write reviews but the minute I walked in and asked about a membership the lady at the front desk stares at me and goes “well it’s $259 a month and $50 for a day pass” and stared at me as though she was looking for a reaction…. i’ve been to multiple lifetimes and I am more than aware of the monthly membership. I am not sure if it was racially profiling or i just “looked poor” to her but either way it was an off putting experience and idk if i will return

This review is mostly on my experience with a person Trainer, Dylan Kolb. The gym has nice facilities and good staff. I was able to work with Dylan for a month. I would say for sure, personal trainer here is super expensive but Dylan was great. He would literally text me on weekends and go above and beyond when I worked with him. Always approachable and knowledgable. He really cared about seeing me hit my goals. Lifetime is expensive but it is quality. I guess you get what you pay for.

I was excited about joining because of all the amenities, it having a nice clean upscale feel since they advertise it as a 'country club atmosphere' and expecting everything to function properly.
You can count on the sauna going down once a week. The steam room has mold in it and the eucalyptus doesn't work. The showers often lose hot water and the soap dispensers either don't work or are always empty...so people take the top of and dip their hand in to grab some.
There was 1 smith machine and 8 squat wracks where Lifetimes that cost $100/month have 20 plus squat wracks - the issue is that you're waiting around even with the large gym size.
I want to love this gym but the issues haven't gone away and they are the same ones.
Honestly if it wasn't $249 a month then I'd say whatever but functionality and cleanliness shouldn't be a continual problem. I'd value the membership at $175 with how it runs and currently functions.

Amazing gym and experience. I am a new member at a Lifetime in Orange County that hasn't finished construction yet, but I wanted to experience Lifetime and workout while on a recent business trip to Phoenix. Sy and Bella were incredibly helpful and friendly and helped me with a guest pass so I could get a workout in and experience Lifetime for the first time. The gym was beautiful and well maintained, the staff was friendly, and the overall experience solidified my decision to leave my existing gym and join Lifetime. Thank you Sy and Bella for your help, your professionalism, and for allowing me to enjoy your facility while on the road. I would highly recommend this gym and especially this location.

Modern and spacious. Since it is pretty new, it’s much more updated than other Life Times in the area. The rooftop pool is landscaped very nicely and has great views. I only wish it had a hot tub. The indoor one is nice but it’s always nice being outside.

Giving it 3 stars, only because it’s not the same as it used to be when they had first open. Now that they are adding classes, they are taking those class out on the floor gym. I go to the gym to workout and now I walk out doing half my workout because the racks are all taken by a class! I can’t be the only one thinking this is a problem, I see multiple of people circling around waiting for them to finish. If they really want to have a class that needs a squat rack please make a room that designated to group classes. Also, The gym is getting so congested and not enough room. For the price we’re paying is not worth it, I’ve heard village is better and some are going back to village. I might be checking them out if this doesn’t work for me.

I’m from out of town and came to this location since it was the nearest one to me. I’m a lifetime member back home and wanted to check out the other lifetime clubs. Staff was super friendly and helpful. This location is by far the most beautiful lifetime I’ve came across yet. All the equipment is new and they keep the club very clean. My favorite feature is the cold plunge, as well as the rooftop pool. Very nice club. If I lived in the area, I’d definitely sign up no hesitation. Thank you lifetime!

UPDATE: 10/10/2022
THE INSANITY--
I really enjoy this gym alot.
I am kinda bothered that a founding member is a lower level member compared to a 'Signature Member" In order to use the massage beds I have to set a reservation... which is fine I mean I get that whatever............ oh wait..... to get that option within the LIFETIME APP I have to upgrade my membership another $40- $60 to be able to reserve a bed lol............
Yall are OUT OF YOUR MINDS crazy.
$249 a month as it is and i cant even use the massage beds. I get times are rough but I been around & loyal since yall opened back in MARCH 2020.
Its literally a 5 min visit to use those massage beds.... but run it up another $40- $60. LOL Better off hitting Arizona Mills and putting $5 bucks in one of those chairs they have in the aisle. Shiet....
Also please dont reach out and say sorry. Im sorry im paying $249 lol its too bad i like yall so much. Il continue using what $249 can get me.
Staff is pretty nice to me by the way. I havent had much of a bad experience with anyone. $249 id sure hope not.....

I am updating my review to 4 stars. Improvement have been made and management is engaged to make this club better. Some of the new Instructor are great. Kate's Spin class EDGE is awesome. And Patrick with Yoga and barbell strength is great.
Thank you Life Time for making this a friendly and fun club
After being a founding member at 3 other Lifetime Fitness locations over 20 years at Gilbert AZ, Bellevue WA, and San Clemente CA, I thought I would reach out and give you my feedback on the Biltmore AZ location. This club is just out of control and poorly run. The employee culture is a problem. Equipment is not maintained well. Cleanliness is poor. Front desk staff is arrogant. The trainers are self centered and it is about them and not the client. There is one stand out, Patrick is great and should be used as the paragon example. The others should go away and be replaced.
I loved my time and Bellevue and San Clemente and still remember the trainers and how amazing they were.
1 month into Biltmore I really dislike my experience so far
