Not sure why lies are being told about this Boxing gym in the reviews. It’s only 3 African American girls that train in our gym. So to whoever wrote that review saying she’s a black girl working out in the gym and the n word was used you Damn lie!! The review of young guys smoking vape pens is a huge lie!!! Whoever you are you really that mad you really that jealous??? To tell flat out lies like this?? Mendez boxing gym is multi cultural gym!! With multi cultural trainers we are the only gym with Blacks, Mexicans and White fighters on our team!!! And winning on the normal!! That’s why you mad!! Because we GOOD!!!! Real Good!!!!! So whoever is telling lies folks come to us EVERYDAY!! Wanting to train at Mendez Boxing because they want to learn to Box the right way AND WIN!!!! Rick Griffith!!

Best coaching! I was training with Drew and the team beginning in 2019-2020 - They were all very professional and helped me develop basic but necessary boxing skills. I’m going to bring my daughter to Mendez Boxing Academy soon! I’ve watched Drew, Debbie the kids turn every single person into family and fighters with endless support and love, for years. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a place for you or your child to learn boxing, compete or even train at the professional level.

Amazing atmosphere! This is more then just a gym every one becomes family and works hard to achieve their goal from losing weight, self defense or becoming an amateur or pro fighter! It’s a fun gym every one works extremely hard and also have fun in there!! If you’re looking for a gym that works hard and who cares for everyone look no further! it shows with all the fighters from kids to adults theirs proof that Mendez is the place to be!!!

Don’t get me wrong..the classes at this gym really push you. It’s an excellent place for a tough workout, especially if you’re looking to sweat, even though it’s more focused on boxercise than actual boxing technique.
However, I’m really disappointed by the environment. At least 70% of the members, including kids, casually use the n-word, and as a Black girl in Arizona, it’s disheartening. What should be a safe space for me to relieve stress instead feels uncomfortable and unwelcoming because of this.

well I was looking for a good quality gym that I could trust my son's development and training with after doing some research Mendez Boxing came highly recommended. A class "A" organization training and staff are professional and most important care about the students ,if your serious bout your training and development come to "Mendez" boxing.
