The machines are all extremely close to eachother, you have to turn sideways to get between many of them. The gym is extremely dirty, multiple machines not working appropriately. Owner is never available via phone call and does not return emails, impossible to cancel membership and continues to charge monthly. Had to open a dispute claim with capital one. Avoid this gym.

By far my favorite gym I’ve ever been to. I was intimidated coming in the first time, but it turns out this place has some of the most supportive and friendly members. Josh and Bella(owners) are also wonderful and are pretty much always around. There’s an awesome massage therapist and nutrition shop inside as well. Perfect community if you’re looking to become a better person ❤️😎

I went to this gym twice and did not enjoy it. Ended up working out in my backyard gym. It’s September and I have been trying to cancel my account since January. They tell me to come to the gym (now an hour and a half round trip since I moved) to cancel between 10-7 but no one is there. I mailed a letter and key but of course that didn’t work. Now had to dispute charges with the bank over $35 a month. Just bad business and poor customer service. I was willing to make the trek for this gym because I loved metroflex Plano and always had such a great experience there. Phoenix has a lot to learn. Stay away unless you never ever ever want to cancel.

Very dirty and poorly maintained gym. I am more of a natural powerlifter/heavy weight lifter — so I lift for strength first, looks second. These guys are all steroid users that care about looks first, and strength second. Don’t be surprised if you see people posing and flexing in mirrors all over the gym in the middle of a workout, which can get annoying. Nothing but ghetto rap music blasting through the speakers at this gym too. So if you enjoy being around a bunch of steroid using, tights wearing bodybuilders while listening to ghetto rap music in a super dirty/un-maintained gym, by all means, go here. If not, look elsewhere.

This is a terrible gym. First of it is run by incompetence. These people have no idea what they are doing and have zero customer service skills. Second this gym is a mess. It is super dirty to the point its pretty much nasty. Really shows the pride these people have. I would never recommend this gym to ANYONE!

It has old school bodybuilding equipment which earns itself 5 stars. But I scrub my body after leaving because its gritty and many machines have torn cushions earning itself a star or two. You come here to get the job done, not be seen like the large gyms.

Good bodybuilding gym. Lots of free weights and machines. Moderate amount of racks and cardio equipment. Very good price for a drop in fee. I definitely recommend checking it out if you are ever in the North Phoenix metro area.

I tried canceling my membership in person years ago and it was never canceled. I essentially gave up on it, but the bullet and paid the monthly fee. I recently decided to give cancelling it another shot seeing as I don’t go there any longer nor live close to it. This gym is IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of and they will not return your calls.

I have reached out to my credit card company, received a new card/cancelled the old one and was thrown into collections. My new card has since been charged. This place is a scam and are committing fraud. Stay far away and read all the other negative reviews. I’m beyond livid at this point and have ZERO idea how they are still in business or haven’t been sued.

I have not been to this gym for almost a year, for multiple reasons. I have tried to call multiple times to only reach the same incredibly generic voicemail over and over without a return call. This gym charges more per month that most local (much cleaner!!!!!!) Gyms. I joined bc a friend of mine works there and was my personal trainer. They didn't even give their clients a break during the first round of Covid, as most gyms did... Very dissatisfied and still trying to cancel... Wi try to get there this week and will go to BBB if necessary.

Amazing hardcore gym. Intense atmosphere and walking in just makes you want to work! Old real iron, great friendly people, multiple squat racks and actual deadlifting platforms, plenty of specific machines, a posing room, this is definitely the place to be if you're serious about lifting or are competing.

This gym has really great upper body plate loaded equipment. Hammerstrength, Life Fitness, old school Nautilus. Could use more leg equipment. Hardly anyone there late night (after 9 PM) trying to use the same machines.

This gym is freaking awesome. At first I wasn't too sure if it was or wasn't but it is, lol. I got a tour of the gym and it brought back memories from when I was in the Army, when my unit would have a small gym in the bays near by. This gym is for people who are serious about working out; whether it be for bodybuilding competitions or to get fit. The members and employees are super cool, courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. I've met the owner and he's a really awesome guy and cares about the members who like to workout. I became a member a month ago but I haven't tried some of their services as of yet but will be doing so real soon. This gym has a really cool & chill vibe, cool members, and best part is that I don't have to wait to use the equipment!

I love this gym! What a hidden gem and it is huge! You walk in and everyone is so friendly. It was like a city in a gym, as there was a barber, tanning, spa, smoothie and supplement store. They said daycare is opening up soon for us moms like us who want to get rid of our baby weight. So excited to get in amazing shape!!!

I specifically asked when I joined this gym if they would try to take money off of my card every month and they told me no. I said good because Planet Fitness does that and that is the reason I will not join them. I paid $50 for a first month membership in the second month was supposed to be $25. After going the first visit no one was very friendly, no one offered to help or spot me and no gym staff was anywhere to be found. I felt very uncomfortable during my first visit and never returned. Then I found out the next month my card was being charged against my knowledge. Upon reading the reviews I am dealing with similar situations fortunately for me I was able to cancel my card and dispute the charges. Stay away from this gym the billing practices seem very dishonest.

Was going to check this gym out, but you guys should see the Instagram video that exposes a customer's private account information. This is terrible customer service. One star simply because of the awful business etiquette and customer care. I've tried calling and leaving voicemails which no body apparently checks. Then the only other point of contact I could find was an email address on the website which also no body checks apparently. I no longer live in the area and need my membership I haven't used in months canceled and can't even do so because apparently no body is running the gym?! Then after spending an hour on the phone with your ABC Financial service who charges my bank account requires me to speak to a representative from the gym (Conveniently chosen by the gym vs letting the customer cancel over the phone) but I again cannot contact a representative of the gym due to NO BODY is running the gym. Only a matter of time before you're facing a lawsuit and the better business bureau for your lack of business ethics.

-5 stars. Metroflex owner, Josh Barnett, is in violation of AZ Consumer Protection laws and doesn't care. Membership agreement, by law, has a clause that states if consumer should choose to cancel the agreement within 3 days of signing, they are entitled to a full refund. I chose to cancel services within this time frame, yet the gym ignored all requests for refund. 2 months advance payment was made for both myself and my spouse. Complaint had to be filed with the AZ consumer protection division. VERY shady operation and ownership!
