I love the structure and the versatility of the workout plus includes it strength training which can be intimidating on your own. The overall friendliness and the atmosphere of having fun while working out is a major plus! The heart rate monitor gives you feedback to make sure you are working out to give your body the maximum benefits. I also loved how amazingly friendly and welcoming Madison and Alex were to make me feel comfortable on my first visit and workout. Ok, if you want a great workout Orangethory is it. You get a workout and trainer in every session. I did the personal trainer workout at the gym, yes the trainer was great, but when my paid training season was done, I was free to use the equipment and weights but now w/ out help, my form was not great at times the problem is that there was not a trainer around to correct me, so injuries happened. at Orangetheory you have a trainer at all seasons correcting your form, itβs wonderful.

Orangetheory is an amazing workout! I cannot say enough good things about my experience. I first joined in 2018, and spent 5 days a week, building muscle, running regularly and made a few good friends. I was in the best shape of my life! But then covid happenedβ¦I left and tried to workout on my own, but it just wasnβt the same, especially missed the muscle building and encouragement these workouts give you. After being gone for 2 years I went backβ¦..It took about 3 months to gain my momentum and Iβm getting back on track, but I wished I had never left! Truly worth the money! Itβs like having a personal trainer, but surrounded by great people! Thanks Red Mountain OTF!!

Great studio! Workouts constantly change. The studio does lots of fun workshops and challenges. Donβt have to book out far in advance / never too crowded but still a good group of people to help motivate you. Itβs nice that you can visit other studios across the country easily when traveling.

I did a drop-in class through Mindbody and I really enjoyed it. The class flew by. Shoutout to Jacob, the coach.
(The billing folks here not so much--- has been a headache to deal with.)
We started on the rowing machines where we warmed up and after a long time of no exercise from too much couch potato-ing I sure felt my heart beat go up. It was made even more challenging by having to stand up between the rowing machines and doing lunges. :)
Then, we did upper body and core stuff to switch it up. It was fun doing it was those rollerskateboard thingys and pulling it up with your feet- never tried that, but very fun and could feel core burning.
We ended class with a stretch and the teacher left us with some motivating words.
Lastly, we finished with 12 minute run. Sounds easy but it was hard.
PS.
Love their on-arm heart rate monitor. Last time I did it a few years back, they only had monitor to wear under shirt.

Great music choice. The music and Jacob really kept us feeling upbeat and motivated.

A while back when Covid first hit, I called the Red Mountain Orange Theory (Mesa, AZ) and froze my account.
On November 3rd, I called the studio and asked the guy that answered if my membership had been cancelled. He told me that it was cancelled and confirmed that I wouldnβt get charged. I asked him a couple of times because I only remember freezing my account and not canceling it.
On December 2nd, I noticed there was a charge on my credit card statement from Orange Theory. I immediately called the studio asking why I was charged and they told me that my account was active. I explained to them that I called on 11/3 and the guy I spoke to told me my account was terminated and I wouldnβt get charged again. Zengy, the studio manager, said that the guy I spoke to was new and told me the wrong information. She admitted it was their fault so I thought the refund would be an easy next step, but unfortunately that was not the case. Zengy told me that she canβt process any refunds and that she will need to send in a request to corporate, but first I needed to prove that I called on 11/3. So I sent her my telephone records to prove I talked to them( even know she admitted fault and told me she knew who I talked to)
On December 10th, Zengy called me back to tell me that corporate did not approve my refund request. Itβs frustrating, she admitted that it was their fault, but she has no control whatsoever on whether or not a member will get refunded for being mistakenly charged. I fought back a lot and expressed my frustration and she told me she feels bad, but canβt do much more. She then said she will try to ask corporate one more time, and I week later I found out my request was denied again.
Then when I disputed the charge through my CC company, the same person that told me it was their fault rebuttalled against me stating that I never cancelled and that I only froze my account....

This was an amazing and beautiful place to get time to myself and work out to better my health, pre-pandemic. Unfortunately, once the pandemic hit, you could immediately see how new management, poorly dealt with the members that could no longer work out due to health reasons. As a type one diabetic, I am considered high risk when it comes to COVID 19. After calling multiple times to ask about why I had been charged for a membership I had frozen, no one got back to me. I was finally able to speak to a manager (one who promised to follow up but never did) and tried to reason with her as to why she felt it was okay to charge someone for TWO months of their membership, during a pandemic, AFTER being made aware of my inability to expose myself to potential risks of contracting COVID. At the end of the day they offered me free classes to "apologize" for not being able to give me a refund. I declined and asked to CANCEL my account. They sent me a cancellation form (which I signed at the fear of being charged again) and then they used that against me when I filed a dispute with my bank.
Please, I ask you to reconsider before signing up at a facility that won't take any time to follow up with you if you have concerns, or even bother to call you back when you leave voicemails pleading for answers.
It saddens me that they had no compassion and at the end of the day, showed just how little they truly care for their members.
**also, if you look at all of the positive reviews, most are well over a year old. The new management at this location is just awful and so bad at communicating with members.

This place is a scam. The coaches and staff are nice for the most part, but at the end of the day it comes down to money for them. They have no sympathy during these COVID times. If you want them to consider giving you a refund for the unwanted month they charged (because the pandemic were in and trying to social distance) be prepared to call them every hour on the hour everyday for two weeks, you will need to call them that much because they wont actually take action until the 13th phone call. Persistence is key! It's also pretty dang shady that they were eventually able to refund me, but they still wont refund my friend for not one, but TWO months of unwanted membership charges (her mistake though, she only called 5 times not 19 times like me). AND she actually has a chronic illness making her high risk. So, if you're looking for a heartless company to waste your money on, this place is for you!! Good luck!

So fustrated with this location. I am a nurse in Phx AZ and I have been working with COVID patients since this pandemic started. When Orange theory opened back up, I did what I thought was best and froze my account, however I was still charged. I have been trying for the past month to get a refund from this location and have been ignored by the manager, treated like absolute trash, and quite frankly havent been able to get any help. I am exhausted from dealing with all of this.

Do you lack internal motivation? Do you need someone to help push you along? Do you mostly just want to sit and eat ice cream all day? I do. I workout harder here than anywhere else. Add to that I travel, and Orange theory is in all the cities I travel to, so I can always make a workout fit in my schedule. I burn 700-900 calories in 55 minutes consistently and feel great!
I used to be crossfit person, but wanted the flexibility to go to multiple gyms with more variety of times to workout. However, just know that this is not a big weightlifting class. There are weights, but you will rarely use heavier than 40# weights, so if powerlifting is your thing, come here for a crazy good cardio and then keep up your lifting on the side.

I was really nervous my first time at Orangetheory but the staff here are incredible! Lolo was my trainer for today and I cannot recommend highly enough! I felt like I worked really hard, and really enjoyed it! Going back again tomorrow π

Orange Theory is the best gym experience Iβve ever had! Their program helps you hold yourself accountable for your workouts and even burn calories days you arenβt working out!! It is an hour that I give to myself, where I can challenge myself to push harder. I burn about 800-900 calories, and the workout is always different. I also use my unlimited subscription to visit many other gyms when I am travelling for business. As a professional that used to make excuses when I travelled, I now work out almost every trip!

As a woman who was previously over 200 pounds and now 120, I have literally tried everything. I know that for me I am most successful when I have a good community to work with and a trainer who pushes me. It may be more expensive than a gym membership, but I definitely work harder and more intentionally in this environment. Itβs way more worth the money, in my opinion. I like not having to decide what Iβm going to do. The trainers are good about giving individual attention even though they may be working with 10+ people at once. I think itβs a great structure.

OTF has been a great experience for me and my girlfriend. We joined 1year ago and have both loved the experience, the workouts are a great mix of HIIT and weight training, and EVERY single trainer we have encountered has been motivating and awesome to work with. I like the quick-paced, coach-guided workouts. The workouts are always changing, so you never know what you're going to get. That variety keeps me motivated as I'd get bored with repetition. The coaches are positive with on-the-spot feedback, and I like that they give modifications based on skill, comfort, and need. Lastly, I love all the different times of the day that classes are available. I can always find a class that fits my schedule.
UPDATE: after going roughly 3-5 times a week for 2.5 years, I'm definitely seeing a difference, and it's all due to OTF. They offer workshops/clinics to assist with form, fun games like Bingo and Orange Voyage, push you through Mayhem and up Orange Everest, and celebrate every single victory - on the scale, in the mirror, around the waist, with the weights you pick up, and the effort you give.
This place is family, and I love the members, coaches, and staff. They are always friendly, willing to help, positive, and genuine. Their attitude is infectious, which makes working out so enjoyable.

I was intimidated by the idea of working out with a group of people I don't know. Once I tried my first workout all the fears went out the window. It is fun, hard, sweaty, exhausting but worth the effort to go. My body has changed in the short 9 months I have been going. The instructors are inspiring and concerned with my success and yet hold me accountable to working hard and getting results. This isn't your typical gym, it is a family atmosphere where young and old work out together at your own pace and desire. I highly recommend you try it sooner rather than later. I wish I had signed up years ago.
