I love this gym! The coaches are top tier and supportive. I started a month ago, and from my first class to now Iβm continued to feel like I belong, and the coaches care about me and my fitness. Starting a new workout routine can be intimidating, but OTF makes it approachable. Be prepared to sweat.

Foothills Orange Theory has excellent instructors. The music volume is just right - not like one of the other studios that has one instructor that blasts the music.

I recently signed up online for what was clearly promoted as a free introductory class. The registration page stated multiple times that a credit card was required only to hold a spot, and that there would be no charges for cancellations or no-shows β the class was described as complimentary, no strings attached.
Unfortunately, my experience was the opposite. I was charged despite never giving consent for payment, which completely contradicts what was advertised. Practices like this are misleading and create an immediate sense of mistrust before even stepping through the door.
Itβs disappointing to see a boutique fitness studio β especially one that positions itself as a premium, community-focused brand β engage in this kind of deceptive billing. First impressions matter, and instead of fostering a welcoming environment, this experience left me questioning their professionalism and transparency.
For potential new members, I strongly recommend clarifying any βfree trialβ terms in writing before providing your card information. While I understand certain requirements for current members , I donβt believe non members should have these same requirements.
Iβd give zero stars if possible & would never recommend this franchise to anyone.
I could easily get the same or better workout at nearby studios and franchises with better billing and customer service practices such as F45 , BFT , Vasa studio red , Chuze fitness team training and so forth .

Had my first class ever this morning. Brody was informative at the front desk with my questions and very friendly and welcoming. The instructor Denice did a great job checking in on me throughout the workout session. Clean facility. Signed up for a year unlimited classes membership. Highly recommend to those who are plateaued on their fitness journey.

The workouts themselves are great - very motivating and takes all the stress out of planning gym time. The coach turnover is insane - as soon as you find a coach you like, corporate moves them to a different studio. This happens over and over again at all OT studios, and breaks the small but reliable relationships you can build with your favorite coaches.

I have had a great first year at this Orange Theory. All of the coaches have been encouraging and helpful, and I appreciate being pushed to challenge myself more than I tend to do when working out alone. I want to give a shout-out to Coach David who has been most often the early morning coach. His enthusiasm and humor make the sessions especially fun.

Warning: Deceptive Practices at Orange Theory on Grant
Iβm sharing my experience to warn others about the shady practices at the Orange Theory location on Grant. On December 29, 2024, I signed up for a free trial class scheduled for the next day, December 30, with hopes of starting a new fitness routine for the new year. After registering, I was prompted to enter my billing information, which seemed reasonable at the time as there was no mention of any penalties for not signing up after the free trial.
However, the day of my scheduled class, I began reading the Google reviews about this location, several negative reviews stood out β mentioning poor management, unauthorized charges after cancellations, and unresponsiveness to complaints β based on the reviews, I decided to skip the class and not attend. I thought my decision would be respected.
Since then, Iβve received relentless phone calls and voicemails almost daily, asking me to reschedule. I didnβt respond, assuming they would understand I was no longer interested.
To my surprise, today I found a charge of $12.31 from this location on my bank statement. This charge makes no sense, as the class was advertised as free, and there were no disclaimers about cancellation fees or charges for missed free trial classes, and I have never even stepped foot in the building! Despite the numerous messages left for me, none of them mentioned any charges for missing the class.
This feels like a scam β deceptive and unjustified. I have already filed a complaint with the BBB, and itβs worth noting that Orange Theory on Grant currently has an F rating with the BBB. This location is giving a bad reputation to the entire Orange Theory brand.
Iβm requesting a full refund of the $12.31 charge and the immediate removal of my billing information from their system. I also expect a clear explanation for this charge, as there were no disclosures about fees tied to the free trial class.
I hope that by sharing this review, I can help others avoid dealing with this business and the headache.

Is management aware of the legal call hours? Their telemarketer called me today, Monday, at 7:24 a.m., which is illegal. They also called shortly after 8 a.m. and on both Saturday & Sunday. This needs to be addressed.
Update:
I received a call back from the manager, as requested. Instead of offering an apology for poor management, she attempted to shift the blame onto a new employee, as if that person hadnβt been hired and trained by management. When I brought up the early morning calls on the weekend, she insisted that they were compliant with the 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. rule, which is ridiculous. The management is not only ineffective but also rude.

This branch has some issues compared to others.
1) no one picks up the phone
2) after transferring here from a different studio I provided credit card info and they couldnβt figure out how permit me to book classes online via the app.
3) buy your packages elsewhere because they were charging more than my home studio.
4) coming to OTF for 5 years and this was the first and only studio to not let someone in at 6 minutes late. βSafetyβ reasons. Management would not refund the session. Was not helpful in providing additional contacts within OTF corporate. Simply told to look it up online. Inconsistently applying policy is not okay.
5) They are lucky to have David. He is a great coach.

Be cautious of your credit card on file with Orange Theory as they will make cancellation difficult and owed refunds nearly impossible.
My wife was being charged her monthly twice on her card for 3-4 months before she noticed the error, and it took corporate 5 months to figure out how to reverse the charges.
I provided a medical letter for a hip injury that required a hip replacement to cancel and but despite this they 'froze' my membership instead, which unfroze 2 months later and they charged me for 5 months while I was on known medical leave after that.
Instead of an easy refund in this situation, they kept trying to bump me up to corporate who would simply not respond to my emails or talk to me directly. They have yet to refund the funds a year later despite it being a ADA violation. Unfortunately, they are are corporate run company who is focused on collecting dollars as their top priority and taking shortcut (ethical or not) to keep those dollars.
They have certainly lost me as a customer and a fan as a result what I believe to be unethical business practices.

I do not recommend orange theory. It is a corporate business run by people who are crooks. I absolutely loved workouts and it was very hard to leave because of the quality. However these people will steal your money. I canceled my membership and they build me for 6 months after I had canceled. They then refuse to give back the entire 6 months only returned three of them I finally went to my credit card company and got those additional 3 months back. These people still email and call me personally on a regular basis trying to get membership back. Stay away is my advice!

Just as many others have said about this location, this location will steal your money and then it will be nearly impossible to get a hold of anyone helpful. It is now 3 months after cancelling that this location has continued to charge me even after filling out 2 cancellation forms in person, multiple phone calls, and an online inquiry. With both in person visits and phone calls, I am told they will call me back in 10 minutes or they will call me back the next day to discuss my refund, but I am met with radio silence. I have nothing against the classes itself, but trying to cancel a membership here is a nightmare. It is clear that this location is very poorly run as there is at least 10 other reviews by people that express this same exact issue or other shady practices. If at all possible, I would avoid this location all together as it seems the other locations do not have this issue. At this point, all I want is this location to stop falsely charging me after I cancelled months ago.
Update: I emailed twice to the email that was provided to me in this review reply. Again, no one contacted me. Nothing was ever resolved.

My wife and I loved our first class, Chase Anna and Lexi were extremely welcoming and professional in introducing us to Orange Theory. Although we are moving from an area we were incredibly impressed with their kindness and flexibility leading up to our class. Sean was extremely polite and informative as he walked us through how the class would take place. The class was WAY better than I had imagined and extremely advanced. Monitoring heart rate and the use of technology enhanced the workout dramatically. The workout was very successful in muscle confusion, Sean was a great coach and created an awesome atmosphere for pushing yourself while maintaining a balanced workout. WOULD recommend 1,000%. The employees were friendly and empathetic, made us want to come back.

Out of all the Orangetheory studios Iβve been too I will never attend another after getting the wrong information about my membership and what can be done if Iβm unable to attend the classes due to work. I wanted to cancel my membership because I travel for work. It was the start of a new month when the $150 was deducted from my account. I asked if there was a way to save those classes because I wouldnβt be able to attend. I was told yes just to call ahead of time and it wouldnβt be an issue. Currently itβs been an issue, Iβve spoke to 3 people so far and itβs still unresolved. I was told a manager would give me a call which havenβt happened. Completely dissatisfied and I feel ripped off.

Orange theory Fitness is steal money business more than athletes business. They charge you 12$ if you reserve a class and don't attend class while you're buying unlimited classes. So they don't care of you when you talk to them but they care about money likewise they telling if you attend 5 days classes you will win a bottle from Orange theory Fitness. So how you win this bottle, you need to buy 15$ and attend following 5 days as a attending challenge. Otherwise you talk to them about leaving them they telling you that you will notice 30 days before. Why? It's the policy that you were signed on when you registered with them, when you try to read it they insist you to not care of it but if you want to. they will required you of the policy that they haven't let you know of the details in sides. Then they wants to charge you for another month. Unfortunately It just worst experience of being clients with them, so they treat you as money business not clients or as you work for them not buying them to training you.

So far, I'm really enjoying working out at Orange Theory. The visual data that is available in real-time tells me how effective my workout is, allowing me to have targets for each class, and track my progress easily. The appointments also help keep me accountable. Brian, my trainer, is really great, and I love his music selections! People keep talking about how expensive it is, but I think it's a good value. You are essentially getting the same effects as if you were paying for a personal trainer, but at a much lower cost. Recommend!

Like other people have said you have to read the fine print. They will bill you for two months of membership even if you donβt use it even after canceling. Not worth the hassle if you arenβt 150% committed.
They also charged my boyfriend close to $200 for two months of unused membership.
Donβt sign up unless youβre absolutely sure you are going to use the membership. Otherwise other gyms are 1/4 of the cost and donβt have strict commitments. I got charged almost $100 for a membership I never used. Very disappointed and wonβt be returning again.

Really enjoyed the workouts offered here, but had the worst experience with staff/billing. When the COVID-19 pandemic first closed down gyms, I was charged by Orangetheory despite being shut down. I could not get in contact with anybody during that time. When they reopened a few months later, I had to physically go in to the studio, even though I live much farther away now, and demand a cancellation. I also tried for a refund. I was told that my account would be cancelled and that I WOULD NOT have to pay for the following month (they have an incredibly backwards policy that does not entail immediate cancellation; a "30-day notice" is required). However, I was charged again after I had cancelled. I have tried 3 times now to get a refund, and no one will help me. I am a healthcare worker and need this money back. I feel strongly that gyms should not even be operating right now. With this being said, I implore readers to really think before joining Orangtheory. It has caused me nothing but problems since the pandemic started, which is incredibly saddening.

I came in to cancel my membership in January and was told that would be my last charge. I got charged again a month later and the sales associate again told me βthat charge was a mistake on corporates end, and youβll be refundedβ. The charge was not removed so I called and was told that when I went to cancel in January it was technically my 30 day notice, which is why I was charged again.
I am really upset because of the wrong information that was given to me twice. The manager on the phone really didnβt seem to care that her employees Ali and Kat gave me wrong information. If I had been told from the beginning that I had to give 30 days notice I would not be so upset.
Otf is way over priced, and now that Iβve been through this hassle I would not recommend it.

On October 31, 2019 I did a "Free First-Time" Orangetheory Fitness Class and I really enjoyed it. I had been researching the Orangetheory methodology on the internet and my expectations were more than met. The staff at Central Tucson Grant Rd Orangetheory were very welcoming and that's a key to signing on to anything new. I felt lots of personal attention from everyone I had a chance to meet. It was an easy decision for me to sign up for additional Orangetheory classes. An unexpected promotional offer of a free Orangetheory wristband made it a definite yes. The first class left me feeling very energized for days later. I look forward to my next class. I was also happy to learn that the wristband works with the Orangetheory App which allows me to track my performance while doing home workouts. Overall Orangetheory Fitness is state of the art and I recommend it highly.

My boyfriend recently gifted me a membership to Orange Theory. One morning this week while I was in class at the Central location, someone broke the window of my car and stole all my belongings. While the staff were generous in allowing me to use the phone to call the police, my bank, etc., no one has bothered reaching out to me since the incident to follow up regarding cameras on the property (they had emailed the property management company and were awaiting a reply), the loss of my valuables, my safety, nothing. I heard from staff and other members that car break-ins are common there, and I also saw car window glass in the parking lot indicating other incidents, but there are no signs or warnings anywhere. Doesn't exactly make me want to return there ever again. BE CAREFUL!

I love everything about my workouts at OrangeTheory Tucson (Central). Each instructor has been upbeat and motivational, the facilities are clean and excellent, and I always leave feeling like sweaty jello and excited for my next workout.

I like the great variety each workout has! I tend to get bored with doing the same exercises over and over again but OTF always finds a way to switch things up! The staff and coaches are all so nice and helpful! The coaches are especially good with giving you any modifications you may need or any encouragements you may need to keep going!

I love working out here! Itβs great to not have to think about it and have a coach give you instructions. I started with a good knowledge of weight lifting. I love strength training and hate cardio. When I did cardio machines at regular gyms, I would just watch tv. Ha! This class helps me stay accountable so that I move fast on the weight floor and donβt skip or slack on cardio.
