Pam has been training me for about 3 months now. I was looking for a personal trainer because I’ve fallen off from working out regularly and was feeling like πŸ’©. My back, shoulder and hips were in pain (and I’m only in my mid-30’s!). My posture was starting to become terrible. My sedentary job was not helping.

Pam is very forthright and passionate about helping people. Under her guidance, I’ve lost several percentage of body fat and have strengthen my muscles. Not only am I in less pain, but my physique has greatly improved! My glutes have never looked so perky 🀩 I’m now going 5-6 weeks between my chiropractic appointments (before, I was going almost every week).

Pricing is very reasonable. She usually trains 2-3 people during the same appointment slot. We all have our own individual plans that we follow under her guidance. Everyone has been very friendly and kind. Few times I needed to change my appointment due to work/life and she has been very flexible.

In the four months I've been working with Pam, I have made more progress towards the body I want than 5 years going to the gym myself, including taking group fitness classes. She knows exactly what to do to get your body to look good! I also used to get pretty severe neck stiffness from working at the computer all day and Pam has solved that problem too by isolating different muscles and strengthening weak areas. I have been fluctuating between obese and morbidly obese for the past decade or so. I have tried crash diets, exercise, and personal trainers. When I got really serious this time, I looked for someone to hold me accountable.

Pam is an excellent personal trainer. Her first question was about my goals, and she immediately set out to meet me where I was. She spent a good amount of time prepping me to really get into the exercise that would help me meet my goals, which is so important when you weight as much as I do. She made sure I wasn't going to hurt myself, set me up with better habits, and worked me slowly up to doing the HARD work. Currently, I am down 20 lbs, and losing more every week.

In my time with her, I have seen incredible results. I am feeling so much better, and we've recently started on the weight loss portion of it. She has been patient, supportive, and an excellent cheering section, but firm where needed. She is interested in long term results and relationship building. I really enjoy the energy that she brings to the table.

I love the gym itself. It's very clean and it has all you need to get in a really good workout without doing the same thing every time you go. I don't like being at the center of attention in a workout, so the fact that there are one or two other people there lets me straddle the 'getting into the zone' part of the workout with corrective exercise and accountability. The people are excellent too. Pam really works with you to find a good time to schedule.

For anyone looking to lose weight, get in shape, or develop better habits, Pam is your lady. She is an excellent trainer with a good program and a very good partner in your journey. If you put in the consistent work and stay honest with her, she is going to get you the results you desire, no matter what your goal.

Pam guides your work out to correct your posture, taking you at your pace and focusing on what you need. She has the latest equipment, and and there is never more than around 3 or 4 people at a time. I've been working out with Pam for over 4 months now, and find working out with her a very valuable part of my week. Her class sizes are small (around 2-3 people), with workouts just under an hour. Despite working out with others, she keeps me fully engaged with strength training during the classes, and I find small group training to be a fun and more cost-effective way of getting a complete workout. She is very much invested in each client and makes it clear that she really cares. She is very big on form to prevent injuries, and will work around any injuries her clients currently have. I recently started working out with Pamela, at first I was skeptical because I didn't know her any one who went there. I went off some reviews about her that I saw online. Prior to working with her, I was in so much pain. I tried physical therapy and other means of managing pain, but nothing worked. I hate gyms but totally recommend this one, with no hesitation!

I've been training with Pam for about 5 months. I signed up after seeing the results that my husband got - after a few months working out with her, he became visibly more muscular (he's approaching six-pack territory), and he had a big reduction in the back pain that's bothered him for years.

I am also seeing changes in my body and the way I feel - I'm noticeably stronger, and my posture is better. The gym itself is also great, not huge but everything you need is there. I really like the small group format (there are usually 2-4 people working out at the same time, each working on their own programs with Pam's instruction). It's a great setup, because it's cheaper than hiring a 1:1 trainer, but you still get the benefit of a totally individualized program.

The clients are varying ages and abilities - some are complete newbies, some are serious athletes - but everyone is friendly and it never feels intimidating. The workouts are hard (WAY harder than what I'd do alone) but Pam's very attentive to any injuries or limitations, so I don't worry that I'm going to hurt myself. Basically all I have to do is show up, do what she says, and see the results!

I worked out with Pam Young for almost 4 years. When my husband started going to Pam, I saw results on him really fast. I agreed to start going to weekly boot camps. It was such a fun time and my stamina and strength started to increase so well that I started going in 2-3 times a week for personal training as well.

I was so impressed with Pam's technique and personal attention to MY workout. She always shook up the sets and I quickly started to lose my fat. I didn't realize how much I had put on (my turtle shell of a belly) but progress pics don't lie! Finally about a year in she said to me, "You know you don't have love handles anymore, right?" I didn't realize, but she was right! Over the next 2 years we pushed and I got my body fat % down to 11! I couldn't believe it. And I still say to this day that I owe everything about my physique and workout ethic to Pam. I always thought my best physique was from my 20's. But I'm 45 now and know that THIS is the best I've ever looked.

The best thing about going to Pamela Young Fitness is that it's FUN. Not only does Pam keep things interesting by mixing it up with different exercises, going to her gym is like working out with your friends - I actually look forward to showing up instead of dreading going to the gym. (I even get mad about it if I'm running late because I want to get every single minute in!) Having scheduled sessions with Pam every week keeps me accountable and looking and feeling my best. She even offers help with diet and stretching to give you a well-rounded program that can help you achieve all of your goals.
The difference between PYF and other trainers is that you can truly tell Pam cares about changing and strengthening your body, but also about protecting you from injury. She watches your form carefully to make sure you're not overdoing it and stays up on all of your aches and pains to make sure she's not stressing the wrong parts of your physique, all while targeting the areas you want to work on but also using her professional knowledge to shape your body the way it should be shaped. The muscle development, stamina and endurance increase, and flexibility I've gotten from seeing her makes me feel strong, confident and, best of all, way less guilty about indulging in one of my other favorite hobbies: EATING!
