It's an ok alternative from an overcrowded EOS. The downsides are the showers don't have curtains, or maybe the showers don't work at all. The sauna doesn't work, unless the receptionist at the desk turns it on for you, because it's on a one hour timer. I'm not gonna wait for it to heat up

I am a paraplegic and called the gym on a Wednesday inquiring about their pool. I was told it had a handicap lift that would lift me into the water. I asked the young man if the gym offered a free pass so I could try their pool and see if I could get in and out of the pool. He said no I'd have to pay $16 and change to test out the gym. I told him okay and that I'd be in on Thursday with my two sons to check it out. I ordered a medical transport and showed up today just to find out their two handicap lifts were broken. What the heck. Not just one lift but two are broken and the person behind the counter said she had no idea when it would be fixed. Why wasn't I told this yesterday and who is going to reimburse me for the medical transport

Avoid this gym at all costs. The staff is always breathing down your neck, ready to pounce on any perceived infraction. The noise policy is ridiculously strict, and they'll hassle you for even the slightest sound. I've had employees try to kick me out multiple times, despite being a paying member. The constant complaining and nitpicking make for a toxic workout environment. Given the poor service and overly aggressive staff, I'd strongly advise against wasting your time and money here. Not worth the hassle. I did cancel my membership at the end.

Gym equipment is okay. However, late fees are outrageous, and the owner will not work with you or reason with your situation. You had better pay on time or he will rob you. Very high employee turn over rate. Machines are never fixed, just taped over. There are much better options. I worked out here because I lived across the street. I now refuse to go here, I'll drive the extra few miles for a better ran facility.

This is an ok gym if you are looking for a quiet and empty place to workout. I have been a member here since 2020 and ended my membership this year as this was my secondary gym when others were too crowded or closed. This gym could have a lot more potential if it were kept up. Some of the same things (i.e. bikes, treadmills, weight machines) that were broken in 2020 are still out of operation. The same paper signs that were up during COVID are still hanging up on the walls. The bathroom and sauna aren't the cleanest. Equipment pads are fixed with green duct tape instead of being replaced. Also the air does not seem to work to well during the summer months so it can be a little warm while you're working out. There is also high turnover with employees due to the owner not leading with integrity and honesty, as most of the employees stories tend to be the same when speaking about the owner. Overall, its an ok option, but you can definitely get better for the same price at other gyms. I was hoping to see some improvement over the years, but literally nothing has changed since I became a member there.

Been going to this gym for almost a year, the equipment is a bit worn but they serve their purpose. The membership price is fair, I pay month to month $10(ish). It’s NEVER too busy where you can’t get a good workout in, I’ve gone in at different times of the day but mainly during the “rush hour” (3:30-7pm). It’s a great gym for what you pay for! I use the weights, bar, machines… there’s rarely a time when you’re waiting for someone to be done.
However, the bathroom (womens) isn’t the cleanest and is always out of soap and TP and the toilets don’t really flush. Also I requested 7.5 or 8lb weights in the women’s section (not a big ask) and it’s been over 8 months and still no in between weights. 5lb was too easy and 10lbs was too hard.

This gym has so much potential. I wish management put more effort into maintaining the equipment and facilities.

The gym is empty and affordable. But the machines, locker rooms, and amenities are in rough shape. For example, instead of replacing ripped pads on machines they choose to cover them in green duct tape.

After talking to the staff, it sounds like simple maintenance is “out of their control” and don’t care enough to make a difference.

If you can get over these issues, then you might like this gym.

For anyone considering joining this gym beware the employees sell memberships with 0 integrity. The most basic membership is month to month but if you choose not to continue they will keep charging you. Likely you signed the tiny pin pad, unknowingly signing a contract for a month to month pre paid supposedly non contract membership. So if you catch it before collections ruins your credit you have to go in on the exact day of your payment cycle, pay and cancel your non contract membership. The most unethical buissness iv ever dealt with. Also the gym is trash ran by a bunch of lazy,lying children. Not owner doesn't respond to any reviews on here...weird. you know what your doing!

Good basic gym and affordable price. However. It is disappointing as a Diamond Level (highest cost membership with the most perks) you can't really take advantage of what you pay for since only 1 of the 4 masage chairs works, the hot tub is either seriously stained or in need of a major cleaning since the white interior is brown, more than half the treadmills are out of order, most of the water fountains do not work, bathroom stalls have broken off purse hooks so there is no where to put your stuff off you decide to not change in the locker room, and no hooks to hang your towel in the showers so they sit on the floor getting dirty while you're trying to get clean. When I asked the front desk staff when things like machines and the massage chairs would be repaired/replaced, they just loomed at me blankly and shrugged saying that the owner was aware but they had not been told if they would be fixed and that it had been in that state for a long time.
Good place if you are looking for an affordable gym that is relatively quiet to get a decent workout in, but I'd think twice about paying for anything more than the most basic package since you can't really access the majority of the "perks" the more expensive package offers due to lack of maintaining machines and facilities.

If you are a new mom this is NOT the place for you! they only have childcare weekdays 4-8pm and they only have one childcare worker Alaijah Ulloa. I never complained that she sits on her yoga ball and barely interacts with the kids. I have a toddler child and yesterday 4/18/24 I did a diaper change toward the end of my workout and a few minutes later received a phone call that my daughter was “forcing her way out of the door.” 60 seconds later I arrive at the door and my child is screaming and crying but no where to be seen and no where near the front door where Alaijah was sitting on her ball. I ask her where my child is and ask who is watching her and she points to an area of the room not visible to either of us. We expressed that small children need to be watched at all times and she replied “I don’t care it’s my last day.” Today I called and apparently it was not her last day because she is still there. There are no cameras for childcare and this woman should NOT be around children. It’s very unfortunate because my 3 sisters, my mother and myself all had memberships here. I will be looking for a place safer for kids. The front desk workers are not helpful and did not provide me with the owner’s email rather a just a phone number.

Joined this gym about 3 months ago, and yes, it is more of an "Average Joe's" than a "Globo Gym", and while it definitely has seen better days, it's still a good gym with everything you need to get a workout in. One star is a lot for this place. Owner always complained about my husband noise when working out. He would send a worker to notify him to please stop making so much noise. Which was really annoying! 😠 It felt like he always watched over our shoulder to say something. The equipment there is old and hardly ever cleaned. And let’s not talk about the billing. That’s why we decide to move to another gym where we don’t get harassed by anybody.

This place is great and clean. It’s never crowded the way conventional gyms are nowadays. My only complain would be the lack of moving air in the establishment. I really enjoyed being greeted by Juan, he was one of the gems of this place. Now there will be 5 employees by the front desk, talking amongst themselves, and not one of them will greet or acknowledge you. They’ll also leave the front desk alone and hang out by the massage chairs. Again this place is nice and cheap so the employee thing definitely isn’t a dealbreaker.

I enjoy going to this gym. Their workout equipment are up to date, its clean and as a woman I do feel safe and not judged there. I do have a couple of suggestions. A little face life wouldn't hurt, fresh paint, maybe bring your logo colors in to the gym. Also the paper signage is a little out of control. I know you want your clients to know certain things and/or event, but there are a lot of them up. Other than that, love your gym and the staff are very nice.

If you are looking for a place to go in, get your work out done, and leave this is the place. I signed up here because of how busy it is at 6pm compared to any of the EOS gyms. Its like night and day when comparing the two. At EOS I have to sit there and wait for a bench or a squat rack. Here I can walk in and easily get a bench or a squat rack.

Fabulous gym! I love this place. I started coming in August...I had checked out several other gyms. I was not concerned about the cost. I am looking for the right feeling tone. Phoenix fitness has it. Not pretentious. The patrons and staff are friendly and you don't have to try and "fit in". The equipment is a little dated (compared to some other "big gyms") but it has everything you would expect from the other places.
The prices are great. It's got everything you need. It is very clean. The environment is comfortable and it's not completely packed like many other places. I highly recommend checking place out and say "hi" to Q and Manerva!

This is by far my favorite gym that I have been to. It may not be the flashiest gym compared to others but this gym whatever time i go to, there is just not a lot people in there. Even when there is a lot people there which is usually around evenings on the weekdays. It still doesn't get crowded. Gym is huge, plenty of machines to go around, basketball court, plenty of cardio and the gym is spacious. I have worked here as well. Most of my time working here has been pleasant. Some co-workers in the past did not like working here towards the end of their time working here. It got bad to the point that they swore to never work out here again. Sure that's fine. But you have to ask yourself. Are you working out to see the co workers and the boss and how they are doing and what's happening behind the curtain or are you working out to improve yourself and get stronger. I hope it's the latter because there is always going to be drama at any workplace you go to. I was affected by it but I still love this gym. I still say hi to my former boss and all. Why 4 stars... well I just hope to see the gym get more business and see nice positive changes/improvements around the gym that I hope gets met soon which from the looks of it, it is. Slowly but surely.

The kids club doesn’t have anything more then just small toys and toddlers toys … No TV , No slides nothing for kids from 2years and up . Sadly.. also After the tour , I signed some papers to join for 12ms plan and they told me “our System is down today so the manager will give you a call as soon as it’s back again to enroll you in “ and she have me card key , but it won’t work until I am enrolled in . it’s bean whole week and no one called . And the change safebox or where you put your stuff to keep it Secure for $5 and not even that is for free . But what really makes me feel bad is the kids club $10.50 each child and nothing for my kids age will entertain them in there . My kids have more toys and things at home to have fun with 😕 . Hhhhmmm am disappointed

Phoenix fitness is the best gym I’ve ever been to!
They have all the equipment you’ll ever need; full court basketball, cardio equipment and free weights, you can deadlift and power clean there too. The best part about this gym is that it’s not as crowded as EoS or la fitness, they’re isn’t a bunch of high school kids in the gym on their phones and taking a bunch of selfies in the gym locker rooms. Every time I go work out here there’s always equipment open I’ve never had to wait for a bench or a squat rack.

Well as anyone can see, I have never left a review before for anything! However in this case it felt entirely appropriate to do so.

First I was going to this gym with my sons for a while before covid hit and we loved it. Equipment was excellent, bumper plates, Olympic bars, platforms, plenty of space and more amenities than I need. Staff has been friendly and helpful as well and overall I have really enjoyed going there.

Unfortunately covid hit, life happens, things got busy and I was away from the gym for a while. Upon returning to the gym, there were some issues with my membership.

Turns out I had an old card on file, late fees accrued etc. Ultimately much of what occurred was my fault, especially because I ignored multiple phone calls from them trying to tell me I had an issue to begin with.

However it appeared as though I was going to have to look for another place to workout.

Fortunately after talking to "Q", the owner, who worked with me and treated me more than fairly, I was convinced that I was in the right place.

"Q" managed to get my account back in order and I am fortunately back at a gym I enjoy.

I have been in and around the fitness industry for many years and can say that as commercial gyms go, I have not yet had a better experience.

Basically if you are looking for a place to workout, without question consider Phoenix Fitness.

Phoenix Fitness has new equipment and tons of it. The right machine is always available. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The place is clean and the pool is maintained weekly. I've seen the pool guy myself most weeks. I'd recommend this place to anyone. It’s been a very good facility and equipment is clean and well maintained, hours are great and very cool staff, unfortunately I had to cancel my account today due to employment. I met with Q, he seemed understanding and easily cancelled my account. In the account agreement, or at least in my agreement- Which I have emailed copy of, I had to notify on site 30-day cancellation. So my cancellation will be 1 day ahead of the monthly renewal. So I wouldn’t continue starting November 28, 2021. I have heard of people having trouble canceling their accounts with Phoenix Fitness, I am logging this review on the same day as I turned in my cancellation notice and requested a copy from them of the form so signed on site. I have 1 more payment to make to them and will update if there are complications from Phoenix Fitness.

I have a friend who has been trying to cancel his subscription. And instead of them cancelling, they charge every month! Terrible. Would not recommend! I just want to know how that can be fixed and why nobody has fixed it yet?

please Pay Attention !! These place has the worst and most unethical business practices ! I only used my membership 2 times and call in 2 times to cancel . Came in 2 times to cancel , only to be told I need to see a manager who is not here ! I came back and spoke with a manager who told me they charge me account for a WHOLE ANOTHER month , I decided at the time to cancel for the end of next month . However I come in and they give me ANOTHER balance thst I have to pay before I can cancel ! So far I gave this gym over 300$ DOLLARS and used the service ONCE or TWICE but CAN NOT cancel because of 40$. They then told me they will send it up to have it cancelled now ! However the keep trying to charging my account for what went from 30$ to now 100$ for a gym service I havent used and been BEGGING to cancel ! WHY AM I FORCED TO KEEP PAYING ALL THESE MONThs? I feel SO LOW AND EMBARRASSED ! I’m an adult who is being force to pay and keep a membership I been tryin to cancel for months ! It’s emotional distress to the max !

I been going here for about a year. I just recently switched to another gym. The reasons I switched because I felt the equipment never got cleaned. They set out 2 rags for 2 diff stations and expects everyone to use the same rags to wipe down there equipment before and after use. Sometimes looks like the same rags for couple days. I asked why they don't have paper towels and they say because it cost to much. It would be a nice gym if it was sanitary. Deffff don't drink out the water machinesss!! Peace out phoenix fitnesss!!!

I've been attending this gym for about two weeks straight now and I've really been enjoying it. It's extremely spacious, there's a variety of machines, a women's only section, sauna, massage chairs, and a full basketball court. The music playing throughout the gym is always great. I really enjoy not being surrounded by airheads who show up to stare at themselves in the mirror for an hour. The members here really want to make a difference for themselves. My only complaint is the water fountains are disgusting...if someone could clean and unclog those regularly that'd be nice.. please and thank you.

The gym is spacious. However, I am not happy with their service when handling the payment. Before we upgraded it, we asked them how many days notice that we need to give them if we want to downgrade it (I am leaving). They said we could walk in anytime to downgrade it. We did, even with a few days (3-4 days) notice before the payment date. However, they still charged us at the highest rate.

I have been with this gym for a while now. I moved out of state and called about some information. Normally I would of given 5stars but Michelle was very rude over the phone and only semi helpful. She even gave me wrong information She should of left the attitude at the door. However, after talking to James and Q everything got squared away in a professionalmanner. I joined and am leaving satisfied even after that minor bump.

Sadly had to cancel but I would like to say that this is the best gym I have ever joined. Always clean and never crowded. Good music and amazing customer service. The owner was very professional and friendly. . He made me feel very welcome. I will join again once I am able to. Easy to sign up and easy to cancel. I recommend this gym!

Literally go to any gym other than this one. My brother got a better deal at Esporta with guests and all Esporta locations around the US at less than I did here without a guest. The equipment is subpar. When there was a problem with my cancellation, they didn’t even call me to tell me about. Other than that, Michelle and the other staff were nice when I double checked my cancellation, but everything else is worse than other Gyms like Esporta and EOS

Horrible. Random charges, even after cancellation (which takes multiple attempts, I guess... going 7 months since my original request to cancel my membership and hundreds of dollars later). Poor management and less than ethical accounting practices. Lies, incompetent staff/owner, questionable actions by all parties involved. Would not recommend this gym to anyone.

Very friendly staff and owner. Members are always greeted when walking in and appreciated when leaving. Very clean equipment and good amount of people to not have to wait for equipment. Wesley is super cool and makes everyone feel welcomed by being genuine and funny. Where are the 22.5lb dumbels and inclined back extension to do obliques though????
Love to workout and then dance a little before taking off.

I’ve been coming to this gym for a little over a year and love it. Always clean and it’s big. I’ve never been very fond of the employees that have worked here. Majority of them need a lesson on how to be professional. This time Brandon helped me and he was very informative, helpful, super kind, and actually seemed like he enjoyed his job.

Charging $16.39 for a day pass is insane, especially after I showed them a free 3 day pass I got off their own website to try the facilities but they told me it wasn't valid. I only paid because me and my friends already had plans to go here. The basketball court has slippery and hot. Just watch out when visiting may get charged extra.

Gym is okay. What's with the 8 PM closing time on Fridays and the weekends? Those days should be the ones open until midnight if anything. Especially Friday nights. Unacceptable for a gym

I signed up when they opened because some kids were handing out flyers and the place looked amazing. The flyers advertised fitness classes on demand, a cardio movie theater, a spa, a juice bar and some other things. I went and checked it out and it looked really nice, so I signed up. The next day, i regretted my decision. The pool was out of service, no juice bar, NO CLASSES whatsoever. Just empty rooms. NO cardio movie theater. I was told he bought a screen but never put it up and the "spa" is just a dry sauna. Im told by everyone I ask when these things will be happening and I was told every time "any day now". That day never came. I was there the day they had to close because of the virus and the pool was JUST fixed. Still no classes, still no juice bar.....isnt false advertising illegal??
Oh and one other thing I found strange. The flyer says Peoria, but then lists the address as Glendale...but the name is Phoenix.

This place is good for workouts, but the children center is somewhat okay.

The hardest part of traveling to distant lands is keeping one’s body ready for battle at a moments notice. All I required of Phoenix Fitness was some heavy iron for less than an hour. The establishment was empty. I walked in and was greeted by two lads who seemed friendly. I stated my case. A weary traveler in need of a place to train. They looked me over and offered this. $16.39 for a one day pass to their facility. I countered, if I pay the $16.39 can I come back tomorrow when I need to train as well. He declined. I said no thanks and left. For $10 I could get a one month membership at Planet Fitness or EoS. Alas, I traveled down the road a bit and received a ONE WEEK free pass to LA Fitness.

Hands down terrible customer service. Went in with a 3 day pass that was offered online. Front desk staff declined it saying due to their December promotion that they don't accept the guest passes. None of this was online and I drove out from Scottsdale visiting some friends to workout. They didn't offer anything to help and were monotone the whole time. Terrible service from this gym. I'd rather pay at La Fitness for a 2 week pass which I will do instead of offering these people business. Highly recommend you do the same

Gym isnt very busy so if you dont like crowds like la fitness or eos has, this is the perfect place for you. Even at peak times its very tolerable. It offers a lot of affordable plans and has a lot of perks the further you go up. They offer to bring in a guest to check it out for a week prettt often also. Only problem i have with this gym is the air circulation. Air feels like it gets stagnant and stale, especially in the summer. Overall this is my definite go to gym.

This new gym is very nice and well laid out. It has a lap pool with water aerobics classes as well as a full court basketball court in addition to all the machines and weights. There is more available so check it out. My insurance nurse referred me to this gym and I'm glad she did.

1. They have air conditioning problems which feels like the whole gym is a sauna
2. They play the same songs every single day & they are not motivational songs that will pump you up . It does not hurt to try different genres like hip hop, r&b , country , ect.
3. They need a permit to open the pool which makes absolutely no sense because they should’ve had the permit when they opened the gym . It’s about to be two months since they closed the pool and I’m paying a gold membership.

The gym equipment is very good along with the customer service but these things need to get fixed ASAP.

Outstanding gym. Super clean. Like the cleanest most sanitary gym I’ve been. Very affordable rates including packages for personal training & to bring a friend. Unlike some of the other gyms it doesn’t get too crowded. Even at peak time I never have to wait for equipment. The pool is the best I’ve seen for lap swimming in the valley, & there is an excellent aquatics class, the teacher is great. Hot tub. Separate make and female saunas. There’s a women’s workout area and a private workout are option. Very pleasing and latest equipment. They literally have everything. Sleds, platform, Olympic weighted and i forget the names of the new machines that are so fun to use, they won’t let you cheat but reduce pain. The gym is welcoming to kids. My boys love it. A play area for kids care is there. Also there is basketball science classes most evenings for kids, so cool. The staff is very friendly, humble, not pushy, & just cool. There’s a great attitude in the gym, no egos. Very encouraging & inviting for any level of fitness. Very safe and comfortable for woman. There is just plenty of space. At EOS or other gyms like that the environment & attitudes aren’t as pleasant and everything is crammed in a crowded. Also included in memberships are the use of massage chairs. Please join this gym. I’d love to see you there and meet you. You won’t regret joining.
