I had done pilates with Eda for a few years remotely and had only 2-3 in person sessions before my shoulder was injured in October 2024. I had problems with it and had been working on mobility with Eda for some time. During a session in late October 2024she was "aligning" my shoulder. I told her 3 x during the short episode I had a lot of pain but she stated she "had to" align it. I had thought a lot of her and had a lot of improvement in core strength and spinal mobility. Unfortunately, during this session there was an exacerbation of my shoulder pain and as of now, June 2025 I am still recovering. I have had to go to PT and spent a considerable of time and money to relieve the pain. I had early on in this process let her know that I had been in considerable pain with in 12 hours of the session and tried to gentle tell her I thought it was because of the "alignment". Her only comment was that I, "didn't say anything during the session" which is not true.
I believe she means well but she often does not listen and on several occasions when I was sore or tired she pushed me harder. I hope that she learns to be more aware of her students emotional state and listens when they are in pain. I had again thought a lot of her until this incident. I have not had a session since and had to modify my workouts for a long time. An MRI shortly after this showed tears in the rotator cuff and labrum. I do not think she caused this but I do think it was an exacerbating factor.

So, I can't edit/reply to my Original Review 11months ago when I started. I wanted to give an update.
Awesome-sauce! My lower back has improved greatly (= And when it flares up, my back recovers much quicker than before. But what I have noticed more, was the improved core strength which has helped my walking and stability a lot with my CP. And I've gained slightly better balance which has always been a huge issue with me. That's helped my confidence a bit more with my mobility without using any aides till I exhaust/fatigue to where I need them for my safety. But Eda truly shines not in her ability to teach pilates, but her background with how muscles interact with the body which has helped me with my unique issues from the CP. That knowledge is pure gold!

I'm new to pilates, and only a month in, but I've already notice improvements with my mobility. I have mild Cerebral Palsy (Spastic & Ataxic), as moderate to severe Lumbar and Cervical Spinal Stenosis with Degenerative Disc Disease. After a couple of weeks, I already feel stronger in my core. Not only does Eda know pilates effectively, she's very knowledgable in what muscle groups as what's happening during those moves she's teaching in her pilates session and points them out to you. Along with that superb knowledge, her caring and empathy has been incredible. If you got White Coat Hypertension, she'll put you at ease and make you feel super comfortable!

Eda was a great Pilates instructor for me as a beginner student. I have a herniated disc in my low back and she has been the only trainer to help with my pain. Not only this but she made sure I was pain free during my workouts and kept my back safe. She has a great personality and is excellent at motivating you to push yourself. Eda is an exceptional instructor and extremely knowledgeable. She keeps you motivated and makes you laugh, even on days you’d rather have stayed in bed. I started working with Eda over a year ago after battling back pain for years due to herniated discs. After a few months of working with her I am so pleased to say I have almost no back pain! I thought I had tried everything but pilates was my savior. She paid close attention to details and would change positions if it hurt. I met Eda after a long recovery from Cancer in my tibial nerve of my right ankle. I have now seen her twice a week for over a year and a half. Eda is amazing. I was nervous trying Pilates due to my size however Eda made me feel so welcome and over the time I have spent with her I can't begin to describe how much stronger and more confident I am. She is always pushing me but she has not asked to me to do anything that I could not complete. She is hyper aware of how you move and will call out when you have pain as it is happening and adjusts what we are doing to ensure that I am safe the entire time I am working out. I can't say enough great things about her, her patience, her knowledge and the care she shows during your session is unmatched by any other personal trainer I have had. My doctor recommended that I should do Pilates because of the herniated discs on my lower back and tightness on my neck. So, I came across Eda. She is the best thing that ever happened to me. Eda is the most knowledgeable and helpful Pilates instructor I’ve ever worked with. On top of it all, she’s a wonderful person so she’ll fill your day with joy and a contagious positive energy. I was dealing with a hamstring injury and she worked with me and knew exactly what to do AND WHAT NOT TO DO for the injury to promote health and healing. I had been to several other places for treatments from chiro to dry needling, and Eda’s Pilates sessions worked better than everything else combined.
