Multiple issues.
1. The girl working the front desk is always on her phone and acts like its an inconvenience when you need to check into anything
2. Checked in for the tanning bed, went into room 9, waited 15 minutes, the employee never set the time, called from the room, they had to call her to get it set, said she forgot, then waited another 10 minutes for it to come on.
3. Went in to downgrade my membership, the lady printed the paper, wrote my phone number, said the manager gets in at 1:30pm amd it should reflect within 2 days. August 6th, prior to billing. I waited a week, got charged full black card prices, called again, said the manager would give me a call and also take care of the billing issue. No call, called 3 more times, left 3 more messages, no answer.
I ended up canceling on the website account. Hopefully I dont get charged again and I will definitely not be going back.

Great gym, it's quite and has a great staff. When you join, they even take the time to give you a call and welcome you. Never had a problem with any financial issues, unlike eos. Strongly recommend planet fitness. Used them for about 3 years now. Keep going dont stop reach your goals you got this!!!

New management is the most miserable ever. Place is poorly maintained, men's room is filthy. Urine catch pads never changed, soaked with urine. Mirrors with spit dripping on them, never cleaned. Equipment never cleaned. Only one of the gym employees looks like they ever worked out. Others are more interested in their lunch and cell phones than the members. The trainer is excellent, one employee is good and actually works out, the rest of the team sucks.
Do yourself good, go to EOS Fitness on Signal Butte. 1000 times better facility and staff.

Was a 5 star review.. apache junction was always the gold standard gym for me..I do high level cardio 7 days a week..normally 4 hours a morning...I went to the east coast for 6 weeks came back and now rate below average...saddened to see self check in in the 5am hour,and normally do pre and post red light therapy but have to hunt down person to set machine for me...also large ceiling fans speed have been decreased and a/c is inconsistent..I come here to workout not socialize so if your to cold dress appropriately, don't penalize the rest of us...as a side note I know of 2 people who have left do to the stench of sweat in the stretching area...it's sad that after 2 years such a negative change in short order.. if I switch gyms I can't support another pf location due to the other options if I have to travel...I hope to see some positive change back to the old pf I knew and enjoyed..

He goes to this branch, but the manager didn’t let me in because she says I have to bring the app on my cell phone otherwise I can’t make use of the service, at that moment I couldn’t defend myself because my English is basic, after that she goes to another branch, I talked to the employees of the place and they told me that it’s not true indifferently I’ve done to many places and they have let me in, this person was rude and has a very bad attitude it can’t be that this type of person is in charge and is in customer service of a commercial network as large as Planet fitness

I have quite a few things to say about this location. First is my concern of safety in the parking lot . It is one thing to be nomadic or homeless living out your cars , but TRASHING the parking lots is another. I’ve seen this get more and more traffic and dirtier every weekend I visit AJ. Not sure how to approach that as I hate to see a few really crappy people ruin it for others

Interior, they have really hard water and the showers show it. Only having one total body enhancement and the inability to prop open the door make for one very overheated piece of equipment for use - every time. I love this machine but I will no longer use the ones here because it always over used and uncomfortably hot with little ventilation. Most other locations have two. I do not care a ton for the location bc of the lack of mirrors / it feels small and it’s hard to watch form if you’re not in one quarter of the gym. I know, a planet thing, but it just feels awkwardly small . There’s also not one long clear path for a walking farmer carry and lunge warmup so lots of break up and turning around if you do that

I canceled my membership at the desk because I am never able to make it in. I've paid for two months and have been there two times. They did not cancel as promise and billed me again. My card was locked, causing the transaction to fail and they charged me a late fee on a canceled account. I will never enroll in a gym membership EVER again.

I canceled my membership in person in July I was told it was to close to my payment being due that I would still be charged for July but moving forward I was canceled I was charged again in August I called the manager Billy he said they were having issues but he will make sure I’m canceled but again no refund he gave me an email address to submit my request as well I have my email to prove I sent it on 8/17 and today I was charged again I’ve now been robbed of $75 that they better refund to me I’m done being nice I followed the guidelines and should never have been charged any if the fees!

Gym is very dark, the location is not in a great area. Get a lot of transient people hanging around the parking lot. Don't be too fit or train to hard or you'll be targeted by staff. I personally was harassed by rude a staff member for having a small bag..which I need for medical reason to keep with me & told her such & she rudely snapped at me & went to retrieve her manager. I asked the manager why other gym goers who clearly had purses or small bags on them were not targeted to which I get no answer and inquired why their team members have such poor communication. Now I had been going here for over 3 months, same bag multiple days a week with no issue. I cancelled my membership immediately following this incident. Back to a real gym....I'd give 0 stars if I could

Remodeled in 2024. This is by far my favorite planet fitness in the east valley. Clean, well laid out and relatively not very busy on Fridays or weekends. Weekday afternoons can kinda get busy but, there are plenty of machines to use. The staff is very friendly and they vacuum and clean many times throughout the day.

Joined in January 2016 and have never skipped more than a few days going there. The Black Card membership has allowed me to visit the Avondale location near where I work. Beats sitting in hours of traffic if I were to leave from AJ later in the afternoon. Staff is friendly and dedicated to pleasing members. I never thought I would enjoy the experience as much as I have.

I’ve been going to this gym for over a year and always enjoyed coming to this gym as a result I want to include though a huge shout out to JUSTIN AND LINDSEY who work during the week early mornings, have been phenomenal and kind. They are the perfect example of what a real staff member should thrive to be. But Today I had an issue with a creep that clearly didn’t understand the meaning of personal space. He thought it was funny to get in my personal bubble and make me uncomfortable. Last I checked this is called harassment. This is NOT okay in any form or way however, I did go up to the font desk to file a complaint and it was shrugged like it was no big deal. The staff member was ignorant and almost annoyed by my compliant as if this type of behavior is okay absolutely disgusting and unprofessional. I did not catch this idiots name but he works there every Saturday morning blondish hair blue or green eyes and khaki pants. He just blankly stared at me and said “I’m sorry” did not take any notes down or asked who the creep individual was. I’ve known someone who has worked at Planet Fitness and they are suppose to take the complaint down in writing in case this becomes a repetitive issue. And clearly this was not done at all. When this happens staff need to be hold accountable and need to understand and lean this type of behavior does occur and needs to be taken seriously when someone is being harassed or made uncomfortable. I’m truly concerned how it wasn’t taken seriously. This is the main reason I’ll be returning to EŌS as they have proven to me my feelings my wellbeing is important as every member should be. This was a huge disappointment for me.

So originally I gave this location 100 stars but todayTyler the man up front was rude or just didn’t care at all.. we wanted a hydro massage and they have been down for 2 weeks now plus the closure bc remodeling. I go to schedule one for me and my guest like we had been doing and TYLER looks me square in my face and said no guest can use those I told him the staff let’s my wife use the message machines here and theres never been a problem he says yeah bc they are being very nice but no u can’t. Not like ok hey this last time but that’s it I literally just paid my yearly fees and monthly fees yall been closed for 2 weeks and also since re opening none of the those massage chairs even been in working condition and u can’t grant this for us ? Like where is ur customer service skills. Ur politeness? To be so dismissed is terrible I thought y’all wanted ur customers to come back? Or continue memberships? I’m probably going to EOS and cancel my membership with planet fitness. I didn’t like that rude way TYLER approached this situation. I have been working out at this planet fitness for 15 months and I will say the staff is great except one who loves drama.The people who go there love to stare and not workout.Now this gym is closing for a week so I can’t workout so goodbye gains.Ill be honest EOS is opening just down the street I joined in dec and For 15.99 a month I got there top service 10 bucks cheaper a month and they have a pool sauna and so much more then pf I can’t see them staying open much longer as soon as EOS opens watch the people leave.
