I’ve been going to planet fitness for years ! Chris the manager there and the staff are amazing!! They are organized and knowledgeable about everything! Chris has been more than willing to always help and answer questions! I never seen a manager always walking the floor and greeting people! This planet fitness in Buckeye is well taken care of and managed. The way the staff is and how they greet people makes it feel very family oriented ! Chris thank you for always making this gym as a second home and a great staff under you !

Great gym with the exception of an employee named Chris. To say he is rude is an understatement. I observed him totally disrespect a United States Navy veteran last week. Her sin? Temporarily taking off her shoes to use a weight machine. He approached her like he was a rouge police officer and in a loud voice for all to hear he yelled at her to immediately put her shoes on. The female Navy vet in a calm voice tried to explain the situation to him but Chris yelled back at her and, I quote “ I’m giving you a direct order!!” Others were looking at him and he could be heard all over the gym. He embarrassed himself in front of several people. How he was hired by Planet Fitness with this sort of unstable mental condition I do not know. For future reference I’d say stay clear of this whack-job. Had he yelled at me like that his afternoon would have been quite ugly. Shame on Planet Fitness for hiring such an unstable individual.

I saw an employee berate a member there. While she did have her shoes off (like lots do when lifting) and I understand the safety concerns it was the most unprofessional thing I’ve ever seen. Following her around the gym instead of just being a normal human and giving a warning. I’ve worked at a planet fitness before and this guy behaved in a way that contradicted their mission statement. CHRIS was on a power trip and told me he gave me a “direct order” to put my shoes back on while deadlifting. Meanwhile other patrons enter this gym half clothed and record their workouts and in the locker rooms.

No, I was not walking around with no shoes on, simply lifting on a flat surface (no shoes). He called the cops and had me trespassed. Although I’ve been a member of PF for 5+ years. Buckeye PF doesn’t want your business! Nor do they want you to workout! CHRIS acted as if he was a superior to me.

I’ve been going to this location for 2 years. Sadly in the last 12 months I am seeing a lack of care in maintaining some of the equipment and facilities. I frequently use the Total Body Enhancement and tanning booths. Bulbs are supposed to be replaced every 500 - 800 hours, before bulbs burn out. This is clearly not the case at this PF. Bulbs are burnt out and/or flicker in all but one booth and have been so for several months. I’ve mentioned this to staff more than once over the past several months. It appears to be falling on deaf ears. I’d be surprised if the bulbs have ever been replaced in the last two years. I haven’t seen evidence in my usage. Bad bulbs can cause skin damage and burns due to inconsistent UV exposure. In addition, bad bulbs can lead to electrical issues/short circuits while in use. You are putting me and other members at unnecessary risk!!!! Needless to say I don’t appreciate the lack of care, safety, and attention. This is a direct reflection of the management and ownership of this location.

Was a member at the planet fitness on Indian School rd and 48th ave.I called to cancel my membership on 08/13/25 at 12:30 pm the manager there was so rude and unprofessional that I couldn’t wait to pay the cancellation fee and be done with planet fitness in all. I tried to pay the cancellation fee online but it wouldn’t work so I called back multiple times to get no answer. I then called the store on Watson rd and spoke with Jessiah. His customer service skills and attitude was so good I didn’t cancel my membership I just switched this store to my home location…As a store owner he is the kind of manager you want on your team.It seemed like he actually cared about what I was going through. Jessiah has the type of integrity that a business owner could only dream of.He should definitely be rewarded if you ask me cause he kept a member that was on his way out the door and I’m not easy to convince

Busiest PF I've ever seen, anywhere & I've visited many. I've gone twice this week & at times, every strength station is occupied & many have people waiting. It's time to expand or build another. The manager is buddies with patrons and allow them to act however they please.

I was a member November 2022 but after a while I had to take some time off for medical reasons. After rehab I decided to come back to planet fitness in Buckeye... I was amazed! The renovation that took place here all new equipment! More overhead entertainment, Great staff. I love the attention to detail, cleanliness most of the patrons sanitizing the machines voluntarily for the next patron that says a lot about this establishment. I recommend the "Black card" membership, this allows you to attend other PF facilities. It's my home gym now.

I go to the Planet Fitness in Buckeye, AZ. The parking lot, facility and restrooms are always clean. There is plenty of parking. There are plenty of lockers - bring your own lock. There is always someone behind the desk to check you in. The staff behind the desk always greet you and say goodbye. I have never been on any equipment that wasn't clean and working properly, including massage beds/chairs and tanning beds/booth. They have lots of machines - various cardio machines, weight machines, and free weights. I highly recommend Planet Fitness.

This company is a joke. Social planet is very unhelpful. Seems like they are there to be a safe of complaints. The complaint goes no where. What type of company moves off of zero resolution. There is no one to make a complaint to about this horrible manager. That's why he is so arragnot. I highly recommend no one ever use a planet fitness. Use a real gym not this money pit!

I came to him to make a complaint about a group of women (Amy) making up rumors about me and talking about my personal information with other members. In that whole conversation he never asked me their names because he is friends with these people. He already knew what was going on but lied and claimed he never heard of these people. All he kept saying was that doesn't sound like a gym and What are you going to do to change the situation. I was floored by his condensing tone. I canceled my membership to get a email of termination due to policy violation. I wish that surprised me but I didn't due to the manager being completely unfit for that job. I suggest he learns how to speak to members or you will have a empty gym! He also needs to go by FACTS AND NOT FEELINGS!

I'm pleased to report that the machine has finally been fixed! Although I didn't reach out via email as requested, the issue has been resolved. As a result, I've upgraded my rating from 1 star to 3 stars. If the quality of the equipment and service continues to improve, I'll consider increasing the rating further over time. Had this issue been addressed more promptly, I would have likely raised the rating to 4 or even 5 stars right away. However, the delayed response has led me to hold off on a higher rating for now.

You know what's fun. Having a membership for 2 years. Then they send out a email asking how much you would recommend to a friend. So you tell the truth and say if there was another gym in buckeye I would be there instead. The owner? Manager? Calls me and then proceed to call me stupid and yell at me. I really like this gym, there are a lot of them all over Arizona and they are all set up pretty much the same.
With the Black card membership (which is quite reasonably price) you get all clubs all hours and they have tanning,hydromassage and total body enhancements at no extra charge.
I have worked in and managed fitness clubs all over the Phoenix area and this gym is for everyone.
I only have 1 issue with planet fitness and that is the amount of water that comes out of the faucets they are those automatic ones and they don't run long and don't give you enough water. The people are great and so are the members I highly recommend planet fitness

My husband and I have been members at this Planet Fitness for about a year now and don't usually have any issues with the staff, as they are normally kind and respectful. We have a routine and usually go in from Sunday to Thursday. Sundays the staff are always different. We went in around 7 today, October 22, and when we go to check in the girl at the desk always says that they are closing at 8. 15 minutes before closing they always walk up to me to tell me they are closing in 10 minutes. This happens every single Sunday. However, today I went in with my husband, and when we were nearing the end of our workouts on the bikes, the male staff member stopped near me. I didn't pay much mind to it because I thought he was cleaning a machine in front of me. I start to realize that he is still standing there and not moving, mind you I have my AirPods in and am looking at my phone but I felt like he was staring after many seconds went by and looked up to see him looking at me raises his hands up with 10 fingers and motions to tell me that they are closing in 10 minutes. I found this encounter to be quite creepy and felt harassed when he did that. I don't understand why he would just stand there to stare and wait for me to acknowledge him. I told my husband what happened and he went up front to share his grievances with how I'd been treated. Instead of apologizing, both staff members continued to try to talk over my husband and deny any wrongdoing, further inflaming the situation. We both left feeling dejected and not wanting to go back. My name is listed as it shows on this review and my account can be found. I don't think its right that I don't feel comfortable going back on Sundays and I hope that the staff members do better to create a more positive experience.

This gym is very laid back, clean, and quiet. Always machines to workout on at night. The day time can get packed, so I recommend going at 10pm or later. VERY CLEAN!!!

Too many unused cardio machines and limited weight machines. Weight machines are poorly maintained and often broken. Most the people that go want to use weights. They need to get rid of half their cardio and add weights and get some friggen fans on the weight part of the room. The only fans are over the cardio machines were there are hardly any people. No air circulation over weights and some areas are unbearably hot. They need to get with the times….cardio is not popular anymore. Strength training is where it is at.

Been a member here for 3 years. Staff is mostly friendly. Probably the worst gym if you are looking to constructively workout. Worst group of patrons by far. Mostly kids with no direction that wonder around in large packs and sit on a machine for +30 minutes with zero sense of common courtesy. Honestly, it’s just a big social club for the local high school. The moment they open any other type of gym in Buckeye, I’m gone.
