Staff are judgmental and dont follow their own judgmental free zone policies. Some prune tattled on me when i was relaxing in the showers in the locker room. A pf worker came in and told me(while i was in the showers btw) i couldn't sit down in the showers. the showers were nasty nobody cleans them after showering like theyre supposed to and i had to clean that shit myself. Pretty sure theres no rule that says i cant sit ether, in fact theres a pop up bench shower too am i not allow to sit on that? And i noticed the mirrors in the changing rooms are(strangely) hollow on the other side. The picture was of a different stall from the one i was in and was left there when i found it like that for a full hour, and probably then some but i left and never saw it cleaned. Also saw a guy come out of the womens locker 45 minutes ago as of writing this.

EDIT: that nasty stall was cleaned, but its now permanently stained and has become an eyesore.

Edit 2: as of sept 22 2025 a woman just walked in the male locker room while i was showering

Edit 3: on october 23 2025 had an understaffed planet fitness member blatantly lie to me about the disinfectant sprays bc he didnt want to help me in favor of getting some old man with a slow phone to get a membership. There were only 2 visible planet fitness members in the whole building and 1 wasnt in uniform so i assume he wasnt working. Ive also recently had a newly hired planet fittness member undergoing initiation try to talk to me and be friendly while im showering. What is it with planet fitness members and talking to people showering??.

I have been a member here for over a year and I enjoy the gym, the equipment, and the Black Card facility. However, they are lacking maintenance recently. A few of the hand sanitizers are dysfunctional and today, Sunday, I went after 2 pm only to find the men's two toilets in an unusable condition. Front desk kids said sorry, have to wait until maintenance person comes in next week. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? Oh well, Taco Bell next door worked.

I got taken care of. Layla was exceptional service to me all week I was in town. Bobby was extremely nice too. They are cool people. The gym itself is fabulous too. Nice new equipment, but that’s where it ends. In general staff is not friendly. Members not friendly. I was brand new. Only a few said hello. Basically I didn’t enjoy working out there. Someone would not get off a machine. My daughter and myself asked to work in. They said go away. Management said they a not kick anyone off a machine. Planet fitness is a woke company. Many bad reviews too. Billing is suspect.

Seems like a relatively new location. Equipment is new although it’s not being maintained very well, starting to accumulate dust. They do not have the traditional arc trainer, just the modified arc, which isn’t the same in terms of quality of the cardio experience. Staff is generally rude and they’re using chemicals that are causing a film on the metal. Members are decent enough although I was followed around by some of the younger members. This location allows giant bags on the floor, which makes it look cluttered. Staff likes to monopolize the Rockbot app, automatic dings for that since Rockbot actually is not for the staff. It’s decent, but it could be a lot better in terms of attitudes and general gym culture, was also a little tricky to find.

Definitely clean & low odor area, which is great for my COPD & the reason I joined this particular gym in the area.
The staff have been knowledgeable & supportive, taking my age and health in consideration while working with me.
I am comfortable with the changing rooms and greatly appreciate their cleanliness.
Overall, a well maintained gym with up to date equipment and many options available for a multitude of workout regimens.

Poor black card area, very small and limited equipment compared to other gyms, especially as there is a huge wasted space right there! Equipment in gym needs better cleaning plan, and staff should be trained to monitor people Not wiping equipment and hogging equipment way too long.

Not too happy about the new equipment. No more padding on the handles, ergonomics on alot of the machines are terrible. On the shoulder press, you almost have to hyper extend in order to get into position. Was alot better when machines weren't mixed together, to do a circuit you have to zig zag across the entire interior, walking through crowds of people standing around machines. The new hard plastic handles are awkward to grip and throw off the mechanics of what the machine is designed for.

This is my favorite Planet Fitness by far. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The place is always clean and the equipment is always working properly and not down with signs on them. It isn't fancy or newly renovated and the equipment isn't the latest greatest, but it all works. I feel comfortable here.

This place is still has a great staff but the hydrobeds seem to have issues on a pretty constant basis and the stand up tanning bed has been cutting out @ 2 to 4 minutes rather than giving me my full 9 minutes for the past 2 weeks. This is not only frustrating but also a waste of my tanning lotion that I have already applied because you only allow us to tan every 24 hours and it cannot be reset again. No alternative, I'm just done tanning for however long the bed decides to run for. I was told that until they get enough complaints it probably won't get fixed...well that's super impressive. You need to do better. My Black Card doesn't seem to really have any benefits. Im becoming more and more disenchanted every week with this place.

I had gotten the black card membership sometime in April of 2023 I kid you not I went to the fitness center 2 times in 12 months. They say that they're a judgment free zone..... THAT IS A BOLD FACED LIE. I not only got judgemental remarks from some of the other people in the gym, but I heard the judgemental remarks from the employees, they thought I couldn't hear them.

They had no problem taking my money. They took the yearly "maintenance" fee without my knowledge; they did that twice.
I had called my " home" gym to cancel my membership with them and they said that their computers were down and that I could do it online and not to worry there won't be a fee.
The next thing I know they are taking out $64 out of my account.

So I will not recommend anyone to go to this gym. They lie, steal and judge people.

It might be time for a change. ALL of the staff members are fantastic, especially Bobby, Jesus, and Emily! The new GM seems great, as well, however, SEVERAL pieces of equipment are “out of order,” and have been for quite some time. Also, the water pressure is ridiculously low, not to mention the air conditioning system. I’ve been a PF member for years, and travel to many different locations across the U.S. I won’t cancel my membership, but local members deserve MUCH better. Again, I’m not blaming the day-to-day people, but some of these problems need to be addressed.

Gym is consistently dirty. Things are always broken. Right now that's both urinals in the men's room AND the water fountain. Cross your fingers if you want a hot shower after your workout. Staff never leave the front desk. Two, three and sometimes four of them standing around chatting and on their phones. Don't bother making them aware of issues. It has no effect.

The Bullhead City PF staff is really great! I attend PF right after my normal workday during rush hour 5-7. The young, thin, friendly female leader is the best..her workers are attentive to members’ needs & concerns. The paper towel dispensers & cleanser bottles are always full & functioning so I can do my part to enjoy a clean gym while exercising. I also appreciate how equipment and exs machines are maintained well & repaired in a timely manner when necessary. One thing I like most about Bullhead City PF location is the music provided through the overhead speakers. The music choice makes me particularly happy because I hate country music with a passion & I don’t really enjoy metal either. Please continue with the same music of recent provision. I feel it creates a positive atmosphere with the right beat/ pace conducive to exercising. I’ve been very happy attending Bullhead City PF. Thanks to the staff for a pleasant environment . Kudos guys! Keep it up, you’re Awesome :)

Just went to tan, the machine was held on pause from previous client. I got dressed and ready for my time and machine didn’t go on(the 3rd time this has happened to me ). When I called the girl said I paused the machine and told me to push the bottom. I told her I hadn’t gotten in the bed. So I pushed the bottom and the bed bed went for a much Ute but she said 3 minutes. She would not reset it ! I had to come out and then was told I had to wait for 2 more people. I was pissed. Those 2 girls didn’t know what they were doing and didn’t care about customer service! Stay away from them!

THE GOOD:

Overall, this is a decent place to get in a workout. The "floor staff" is usually friendly enough to warrant recognition, the equipment is kept in good working condition, and the facilities are always very clean. Those points of recognition are a direct result of the hard work that is put in by the front-line workers.

THE BAD:

Despite the hard work of the floor staff (A special nod should be given to Dillon and Tay), it is clear to me that not enough attention is being paid to the quality of managers that are being hired to manage the excellent floor staff.

As a long time member of this facility (3 years), I can't help but notice that the facility has a hard time retaining their floor staff. There have been several hard-working floor staffers (recently Dillon and Tay) that have disappeared, despite appearing to be satisfied with their job, while providing excellent service to the members. As a former manager of a very large organization, I recognize the symptoms of BAD MANAGEMENT.

Hopefully, someone who is in the position to make decisions will take note.

The good, bad and the but ugly. The good; there is a large variety of machines, it's clean and well staffed. The bad; the massager beds are broken and there is no estimate when they will be replaced or repaired. (The massage bed is a big reason I joined). In addition; The music is annoying. There are not enough mirrors in the work out spaces. Mirrors are valuable to correct form while exercising. Lastly, butt ugly; the decor is nauseating., The florescent yellow and purple is a fashion disaster. Stupid signs like "no judgement zone and "lunk alarm" are insulting to my intelligence. All in all it serves a purpose of fitness. I would welcome improvements to their business model.

I have been a member in Ashland Kentucky,Ocean Springs Mississippi, Florence Kentucky & Now Bullhead City Arizona. This club is a bit older but it's just as clean and well staffed as any I have been. We have been going to this gym for about a year and we love it! The manager Steven is amazing and always helpful. The gym is fairly clean. My husband and I love to do the 30 minute circuit however we always find that we have to remind people that the section is for 30 minute workout only. We brought it up to the manager Steven and he is always good about running people out of there if they are not doing the circuit. Thanks to the nice staff there you guys are doing a fantastic job!
