This was our first time visiting PF in Flagstaff. We are from another state. We love using the black card to enable a familiar work out even out of town. We enjoyed the environment and opportunity.

Friendly staff, but there was trash on the shower floors, no shelves of metal bars to put your soaps on, and worst of all, the shower drain was totally clogged.

It backed up and got nasty, filthy shower water all over my feet and shampoo bottle. Come on guys….

SUPER SCAMMY!! *google this company- there is a class action lawsuit against them!!* The manager refuses to come out and talk after I was told to come in and talk to him at a certain time. They said my bank info was expired (it wasn't) and charged me a late fee. They said they would waive it, but they didn't. Then they charged me *after* I canceled! Synopsis: I gave them my bank info twice, same info, no changes. Got charged nearly $100 for 2 monthly memberships for one month, not including the yearly fee. Manager refuses to even speak to me. Disputed with my bank and got the charges reversed because this place is a SCAM!

It's ok. Fairly clean depending on what day you go, which varies. Employees are nice enough. It's just that the location sucks. I mean, some days if you get there really early and the mall is closed, you can find a good spot. Once the mall is open, you might be walking forever and you really don't want to come back and find people walking around where you are parked screaming at each other. Some days it feels safe, others it doesn't. Which makes us hesitant to go. Not our normal PF, we spent some time camping in the area before heading back home.

An absurd excuse for a gym , might qualify more as a truck stop than a gym. As that's what its become for the OTR drivers . This place is in trouble with the locals!!! constantly having hot water issues for 6+ yrs then have to fight for a changing both because someone is only there to shower and shave and make the lockers thier personal hotel room bathroom?? It’s cheap compared to most other gyms in the area which is a plus. They only have 4 smith machines which sucks and there are wayyyy too many cardio machines that are never used. Also the desk staff were super rude and when I called today to ask a question and the guy on the phone was super dismissive and was having a conversation with another person while on the phone. Upon returning to the call he just said “yeah what’s up”. Pretty rude and not helpful at all.

1st time at this location. Staff friendly and helpful. 1st time in the total body light box. Hit the massage chair&hydro massage bed and lounge. Performed a nice shoulder and chest workout. Got the treadmill and the cycle for cardio. Overall tired lol good experience.

I've been to PF locations at all four corners of the country from from Long Beach CA to Orlando FLA to Seattle WA to Jersey City NJ and more then I can remember in-between all that.
The problem you people have with Flagstaff overcrowded issues is you need to forget about the owner and his/her/it two faced stellar comments and touch base with corporate. You people need a second PF location no two ways about. Your nearly a 100 miles from the next PF and the railroad could care less about either one of us. Good Luck with it 👍

LADIES BEWARE OF PERVS IN THE LOCKER ROOM!!!!!
A woman was face timing some guy in the shower/women's locker room and staff was unable/unwilling to stop it (only guys on duty). The call was VERY sexual with the guy panting and moaning the whole time. Why isn't this illegal? Why is Planet Fitness ok with random guys watching women undress? Is it because they're not physically there? It's even worse via a video phone call because he could be RECORDING the whole thing! I don't feel safe there anymore knowing some guy watched me undress!!!!

I already reached out to management and have gotten ZERO response!

Too busy at all times and too many machines down. Very difficult to use the most popular machines at any time of the day. Water fountains down for a week, but you can buy a water bottle for 2.75... half the stair steppers don't work

Edit: crowd meter doesn't matter. It is 11 am on Friday and every smith bench and every dumbell bench have been occupied for 30 minutes. Do something about it. Get rid of half of the cardio machines and get more benches.

This gym has TERRIBLE etiquette when it comes to equipment camping. This might be a Planet Fitness thing, and I am sure the manager is not going to care. Just know you will not be able to use the smith machine or squat sled or chest fly or 30lb dumbbells or an adjustable bench, etc. because there will be a camper on that equipment for 30-40 min. Literally for half of your workout, the same person will be using that piece of equipment you are looking for. Everyone else is wandering around trying to find other things to do...

Honestly, Planet Fitness has done such an excellent job of getting people to wipe down equipment that this too seems like it could be addressed. Do better Planet Fitness!

Wednesday July 30 6:45pm. Went in. Your 2 boys at the front are having social hour with their friends and with each other. Meanwhile, mens room is looking awful. Trash all over the floor, trash in the changing cells, inner toilet rim covered in you-know-what. No toilet paper. Was there for an hour. When I walked out the boys were just hanging out at the front desk enjoying each other's company. You need to have a button in the restrooms that customers can press to get things taken care of. Nobody wants to be "that guy" who has to go make a report at the front desk.

Slow Wifi when the place was nearly empty. Bad Verizon signal as well. The showers are hot now. They were not hot for several months though. The staff stated to me several times they were having hot water problems. So, any reviewers blaming other reviewers for not knowing how to use the showers is nonsense. I use planet fitness showers all over the country and they are not that complicated. The hot water problem was not a user issue. I use the showers at this location now and they are currently working.

I’ve been a member here for years and the quality has consistently gone downhill. Workers can’t be bothered to do their jobs, the hot water was broken for MONTHS (told it was fixed so many times only to come In and get an ice shower) they refuse for some weird reason to put a broom in the total body room, which is always covered in hairs! I even complained about it months ago after asking six times…and a manager contacted me asking me to change my review if they put a broom in. I did, and the broom they added magically disappeared after like 3 days 🤦‍♀️ Then when I asked them again for a broom today, I was “assured” that it was just cleaned yesterday. Well, this is what that looks like!! Tired of having to walk on pubes and switch the mat (couldn’t even flip it because the other side also has hairs so I opted to wear sandals) The new massage chairs constantly break and people are not being asked to wipe things down and the staff isn’t checking on things enough to make sure they aren’t gaslighting their own customers 🙄 kind of tired of the immaturity! And having to show my tanning goggles for RED LIGHT therapy which makes zero sense as it uses no UV. They can harass you over that but can’t leave the front desk to clean when people complain that it’s gross! Just a hot mess lately!

most of the reviews I read were negative because of the shower situation… honestly maybe that’s just on yelp at this point but the women’s locker room was incredibly clean and I had a much needed hot shower. The water pressure was also great and the best of any planet fitness I’ve been to. The equipment is also in great condition and it’s a very spacious gym. Best one I’ve been to on my travels!

Smith machine plates are always disorganized likely due to the addition of 5 lb plates and 2.5lb plates, maybe a plate tree would resolve this issue. Curl bars only go up to 60lbs. Only one straight legged calf raise machine, no bent leg provided. Only one pec fly machine. Staff is generally high quality, the manager with curly hair is always doing the house chores and hope her hard work is recognized. Only affordable gym in Flagstaff.

Tried to freeze my account since I was gonna be out of state for a few months. They continued to charge my account monthly as well as the yearly fee without my knowledge. Went in to try and fix it and they basically told me I was SOL. Couldn't even talk to a manager. Then I find out I was under two different accounts and being charged twice. Great variety of aerobic equipment. They have both upright and recumbent bikes as well as a huge complement of weights-free and machine. Love the 30 minute circuit and stretching benches. Staff is friendly and helpful. The gym is quite clean. Most people are good about wiping their sweat off the machines when they are done. The massage beds after a workout are excellent! My only complaint is that I wish the gym was closer to my house.

Best gym in flagstaff for price. It is very spacious with lots of equipment and friendly staff. The only issue is dealing with all the non-gym transients coming here to bath/shower. it’s a small town so it’s probably the only place in town for them to shower. Just annoying trying to wash my hands after a workout and witnessing a lady shampooing here hair in the sink. No joke. I try to stay away from the locker room/restroom as it sometimes feels like a hostel back there.

Message for management / who controls parking lot-
Earlier there was space provided at corner for semi trucks to park while working out, it was enough to park four or five semi trucks, but two months ago there were boards everywhere for new semi truck, parking and security guard always come and say is that in get towed if you will park here and work out.

There is no other gym on this freeway till Albuquerque where truckers can work out, I feel it was a good way to appreciate the truckers and even once a week, we had a chance to work out and relax ourselves.

Are all the products on the shelves of this mall are here because of a trucker, all the equipment in the gym are here because of the truck all right I don’t I don’t like the restriction, because the half of the parking is always empty and there’s plenty of space it’s not a congested parking the you guys need to come from miles for truckers.
Hey, two or three trucks are parked here for like an hour or two that won’t make a traffic busy or see if you have some extra space in the parking .

It's a nice addition to Flagstaff but just poorly managed.

When something breaks, it stays broken for a LONG time. Doors, sinks, showers, workout equipment.

They've run out of paper towels and hand sanitizer as well. At least the staff has been friendly.

There's way too many cardio based equipment that's hardly ever in use. Mostly everyone else is left fighting over the weight machines and it's only worse when one of them is broken for weeks.

I was deployed and froze my membership in the middle of August, but they still billed me in sept 25.52 plus 49.00, I called them and they said no worries I'll re freeze it, still got billed in Oct 25.51, again i called, still got billed in Nov 25.51 called and told same story everything is fine and will be taken care of, but now I said cancel my membership via Jordan the manager, but he didnt, how do i know you ask, got billed again in dec but now through my bank with late fees $38.49, I then told jordan to cancel my membership again, still got billed, called them again still got billed, 14 calls latter I'm still short alot of money. Now they bill my bank with late fees plus the monthly.
I continue to be billed every single month since Sept, plus the annual of 49.00. I've made numerous good faith attempts to cancel my membership and only have one small refund from one of the months. It's poorly run and crowded, especially when they give out free memberships to the local college, I wouldn't go here again and can't possibly recommend it. Homeless people just walk in and use the facilities and walk out. It's Dec and I assume I'll still get billed for Jan, I've called my cc and my bank to try and block further billing and have only received one small return for only one month. I'm still over billed 138.51 and Jordan refuses to give my money back for a gym I haven't used since September. It doesn't even deserve one star. :( nice way to treat a soldier.

The front office PF staff has been disconnected and right out rude. Since management doesn't hold them accountable, I see no change in the employees' behavior.
The gym is also extremely dirty (floors, bathrooms, equipment, etc.). Maybe the employees' behaviors would be shaped for the better, if they spent a little more time working with their hands instead standing behind the counter trying to look like skibidi sigmas.

Again the locker rooms are an issue. I have been coming since they opened and the fact that the hot water issue hasn't gotten better and there are multiple machines down just doesn't make sense. I left over the summer and the hot water was an issue and now I'm back in winter and the hot water is still an issue with showers that have been closed. Here are two oit of 4 stairmasters out of commision and who knows what else. It's a good gym but the inconsistency of broken equipment and no hot water is horrible.

I've mentioned it to management a number of times. They don't care. They find the cheapest and fastest way to fix it just for it to break right away. Can't work out without taking a shower before work. Time to look for a new gym that actually cares about there customers.

I had a very bad experience. There was no hot water and no warning until I learned about it when I got in the shower. I asked the staff about it and they said it’s an ongoing problem. I asked why do they don’t warn people. They said they will put up a sign but I saw no activity towards that. Very strange locker rooms with some of the changing rooms far from the showers. I will not be back.

Love planet fitness but they are very sloppy with their cleaning in the woman’s restroom. I’ve come for months and have seen the same things on the walls, floors, showers, etc. I know it’s very public for members but y’all really got to step up your game. It’s disgusting.

Terrible gym worst place ever very unsanitary and never hot water. The restrooms looks like it never gets clean and smells. There was an incident where someone left their feces (poop) in the shower and they left it there until it washed away; not bothering to disinfect that whole shower after. Not like they clean them anyway it’s always dirty and has stains. Also don’t like the fact that the men go to the women’s restrooms to “clean”. My wife feels very uncomfortable and i honestly find that disturbing get a woman to “clean” the woman restroom not a man. Let the men go clean the men’s room only! What’s wrong with this place…

Recently way down hill. Broken doors, broken sinks (for 3 weeks), equipment moved to weird places. Bathroom is usually a mess and out of soap. I’ve only seen staff cleaning once, and it was the treadmill bases. I know it’s cheap. But man… it’s just getting gross and unsightly. Just take a look at the stains on bottle fill station.

The women’s showers here are crappy and disgusting. All the shower heads need to be replaced and the water doesn’t even get warm. You can tell it has highly been neglected and not cleaned in days. There was hair everywhere. I am extremely grossed out by this.

I've been all over the country the past 2 yrs and this is easily the worst I've ever been to. I complained to corporate, but they never contacted me. The shower curtains are old and missing half the rings, nowhere to put soap as the soap/shampoo that should be on the wall are broken and only screws remain in the wall. Showers are dirty and never clean and the last straw was no hot water 2 weeks in a row when I came in. I was told it's because the building is big and the hot water heater is small....ridiculous! Oh, the front door has been broken for at least a month too.

The actual gym itself is nice but the women’s bathroom was atrocious. I saw the google reviews but since the last one had been a while back I thought maybe the issue had been resolved. I thought so especially since the management had responded requesting they contact them for more information. I was sorely mistaken. The showers were filthy and there were multiple hangers and fixtures broken. It did have warm water but it was just slightly over room temperature. I travel and use PF for their showers facilities. I have never seen one of their bathrooms this dirty. I’ve contacted them from their website but seriously, just clean your bathrooms on a regular basis and fix the broken fixtures. It’s really not a difficult fix if management cared.

Bathrooms are a little dirty, staff has no manners, h/c shower is super small and does not have a place to hang the shower head because the piece is broken. You have to freeze while washing since it has to be turned off. Hard to wash and hold on at the same time if you are disabled and need to hold on to something. Not a place if you are disabled, as they cannot really accommodate you. There is plenty of space to make this shower a little bigger.

Clean gym. Water in the showers was hot, but have you ever seen the vegetable mister at the grocery store? Well, that's the water pressure at this gym.

Went back to this gym because I really needed a shower, have there been improvements, no, there have not been. If anything, the showers now stink (I don't think anyone cleans the grates or the showers, and the water is cold.

Fabulous gym all around for users, but three concerns for management to note to make it even better: 1) this location has a few more dust bunnies than the 3 other locations around the country that I've been to, especially in the areas like free weights and stretching where you are near the ground. Machines still feel clean so 4 stars. 2) they need a west side location. The gym isn't too crowded or anything, but I'd actually get a membership instead of just going with my spouse with their black card membership if I didn't have to drive across town. I suggest the old Summit gym location on University or the old Goodwill by Galaxy Diner or under Fremont Station. The only affordable gym on the West side is Anytime and it is crowded.
3) other planet fitness have some amenities id like to see here: the self locking lockers, the TV stations labeled, and one even had the yellow 30 minute workout equipment in line with the purple equipment so you could use it for overflow if no one was on it or give space if someone was using it. Total body enhancement room didn't have a place to hang or place personal items. Other locations we scan ourselves in.

99% of the time it’s a great facility with great staff. I see some reviews saying it’s not clean enough. I’ve never seen that issue. Sometimes you even have to alter your routine due to the pesky staff doing their cleaning. How dare they you say?!

Seriously though, to nitpick, I notice recently some people (usually the same people) hogging the weight machines and literally camping out with their clothes, and their giant water bottles spread out everywhere for 45 minutes or more. Also not wiping down machines after use. Not often but more than before. I have mentioned it to them. Also I’ve mentioned that the Music totally sucks and is usually too loud in the stretching areas but I’ve been to gyms where it was so loud you couldn’t hear yourself think so it’s not too bad. Guess my age shows here.
So really not much to harp on. They really care and do try to please everyone which is a rare thing in this crazed country. Go give it a try. But don’t be a machine hog.

Only reason for staying a member is the price. Most days the crowd meter reads low but you go in and it's packed so it's not accurate. I stopped coming a few months bck due to no hot water fr showers,I hav to shower after a work out bcuz I crash n my ride for work.came bck,waters hot but it's now so slimy its unsatisfying. Shower head got fixed but pressure isn't tht great. Also bring my lent roller bcuz ppls hair get on my stuff n clothes. In certain spots u can see dust bunny's. Water fountain was not working last week, there was no paper towels the week before, Staff is friendly,u only see certain ones up and about cleaning and certain ones staying behind the counter.

My first expirience with Planet Fitness was great. The location in Flagstaff was very clean and the staff was friendly. It has everithing you need for a quick workout. would not be my first joice gym though.

Used this fitness center while on vacation in Flagstaff. The employees are all very friendly and definitely keep the place extremely clean. Not a large facility but plenty of equipment in great condition for a good workout. If your visiting Flagstaff I highly recommend using this facility, you will not be disappointed. Special recognition to Shane who is an exceptional employee!
