What exactly is the point of me paying for a black card membership when the employees just lock the doors whenever they want before the gym is closed? 30 minutes before the gym is closed and the doors are locked? I am writing to formally express my concern about an incident that occurred today at approximately 4:00 PM involving a trainer named Jade at [Gym Location].

While I was using a machine in the 30-minute area, Jade approached me in an extremely rude, unprofessional, and aggressive manner. She yelled at me in front of other customers, telling me to get off the machine I had just started using. I explained to her that I am new to the gym and that she could have addressed me in a more respectful way, but she continued to speak unprofessionally.

I immediately went to the front desk and spoke with a manager, who handled the situation politely and professionally. However, after returning to my workout, I observed Jade again speaking aggressively to customers about the incident. This not only made me feel very uncomfortable and embarrassed, but also left me questioning whether I want to continue my membership at this gym.

I believe all members deserve to feel welcomed and respected, and the way Jade handled this situation was unacceptable. I would appreciate if this matter could be investigated and addressed appropriately so that no other member has to go through a similar experience i also will be contacting corporate

I’ve been really impressed with the Planet Fitness on Power Road in Mesa. The gym is always spotless—everything from the equipment to the locker rooms is kept clean and well-maintained, which makes working out here such a comfortable experience.

The staff deserves special recognition, especially Heather and Deril. They are always welcoming, helpful, and go out of their way to make sure members feel valued. Whether it’s answering questions, offering encouragement, or just greeting you with a smile, they create a positive and supportive atmosphere that makes this gym stand out.

The amenities are excellent for the price. There’s a wide variety of machines, plenty of space, and I never have to wait for equipment. The hydro massage beds are an added bonus after a good workout.

Overall, this location makes exercising something I look forward to. Between the clean environment, great staff, and solid amenities, it’s definitely one of the best gyms in the area. Highly recommend!

I’ve had the opportunity to visit between 5 and 10 different Planet Fitness locations across Oregon, Washington, and now Arizona, and I’ve consistently found the employees to be both pleasant and helpful. That said, the team in Mesa truly stands out. At the Mesa, AZ location, which is currently my primary fitness center, Heather, Daril, and several others have been especially engaging, conversational, and welcoming. I genuinely enjoy attending this location. A big thank you to the management and the corporation for assembling such a fantastic team!

This is a beginner’s gym. There are no bench presses, just benches you place under a Smith machine. They have just one fly/rear delt machine that is ALWAYS busy. They have only two sets of dumbbells. I’m told it’s a new gym and no new equipment coming anytime soon.

There are dozens of empty machines and treadmills/cardio machines. Sure wish there was were more area for weightlifting. The 30 minute workout room is always empty and a waste of space.

The staff is friendly; but, I’m frustrated with the lack of resistance training options.

If you’re not serious about adding muscle, this is the gym for you.

Showers here don't work right 2 of 3 don't even have shower heads the only one that does is the handicapped shower and as someone with a disability i have been forced to used the other showers because other people who are not disabled hog them and on at least 4 or 5 occasions I got here and the showers water was Luke warm if lucky and would turn to ice cold randomly. I reported that a week ago. My last visit I was told this would be taken care of and if not by next visit they would make the shower hotter for me when I came in. Well tonight no hot water AGAIN. they called the manager which assured me id be taken care of my next visit and no one could fix it so I'm stuck naked in a ice cold shower with no answers I have severe ptsd and had a traumatic child hood some of which consisted of forced cold showers and I told the manager that I was assure id be ok. I was not. The staff that call him said they would get someone out to fix it probably take about 2 weeks. I thought that was going to happen when I reported it a week ago? Do they not care about their disabled members comfort i mean at this point that's just human decency to make sure the water temp is fixed no one likes cold showers and as a black card member that really upsets me I'm paying extra for???? A cold shower. And a staff member there made gagging noises while cleaning up in the shower I just used she stomped by me with a wad of hair and an attitude like it was mine it wasn't even my hair color. it was very hurtful and management had to talk to her about it. I'm sad about this experience but if they can't handle the showers what else is being neglected that I'm paying extra for. I had to go 20 plus miles to another location tonight to shower that's my gas and my time my partners time who gets up at 5 am everyday he now gets to goto bed at 1130 or later because this location can't keep it's word about fixing showers when they promised they would. The manager did comp my membership for a couple months because their employee was gagging at me he seemed like he really cared and understood but the fact that no one tried to fix it since I reported it and only trying to get something set up now that's taking advantage of me as a disabled member my comfort and concerns were dismissed and not fixed I'm tired of taking cold showers here this is inhumane. They said it was because of showers being used so much but i had been trying to get to the gym and looked at crowd meter all day today and it was lowest bar most of the day what are they talking about why the excuses.

This review will remain 1 star until the concerns are addressed. Over half The lights in the women’s locker room turn off at 1 am, just so happened to be WHILE I was showering. So now I’m in a dark shower, alone, woman in her 20’s, in a mostly empty gym, with mostly men in it. This did not bring about a feeling of safety or security. Not only were the lights in the showers off, but the lights over the toilets and the lights in the changing stall all off. Maybe 6/20 locker room lights remained on. This is unacceptable, and employees were not able to turn them back on for me. I have NEVER. In the over 50 planet fitnesses I have visited across the states, and the multiple dozens of times I’ve showered late night into the early morning, I have NEVER had the light turned off on me. THIS IS NOT OKAY! You say open 24 hours the lights need to be on 24 hours!!! Also, the hot water stopped working. Luke warm is GREAT in a dark shower exhausted at 1 am!!!!! Unbelievable

I moved more than 2000 miles away and now live where there is not a Planet Fitness nearby but they will not cancel my membership. I have been going to this Planet Fitness location since July 2023. After my total knee replacement and rehab I began a weekly routine to keep motion in my legs. This gym is not judgmental and does not push personal trainers on the customers. The staff is friendly and the equipment is kept in good working order. It's the perfect place for someone that just needs to do their specific workout to stay in shape. It's nice to just be allowed to get in and out at the time of your choosing without staff or other gym members trying to push their ideal workout on you.

The staff was so helpful in changing my membership over to my insurance provider-paid membership. These guys and gals are great. They still don't push you to train harder, which is much appreciated. They are always open when you want to work out. The equipment is well cared for and ready when you need it. The entire gym is clean and regularly maintained, including the restrooms and showers. It's still the perfect place to workout.

I like this gym's easy "scan" entry, and the wide variety of options they offer. There aren't any classes, but they do have a suprisingly efficient setup that allows you to pick and choose how to want to approach your workout. Other pros include: clean, big locker room, plenty of bathrooms, easy access to water, hydro massage chairs, etc. I also love the ability to look and see how busy the gym in right on the app so it's easier to decide when it's the best time to go.

The Staff is consistently helpful and friendly every time I visit, regardless of the time or day. I am impressed with how spacious this place is. During busier times, there are still machines available. I also like how the app shows a Crowd Meter, so that you can know what to expect before arriving. They have large ceiling fans, and air conditioning, so it’s always comfortable workout temp.

I am currently taking advantage of the free 2 month Apple Music they offered me as a Black Card member. I do need to take advantage of the water massager located in the back. I heard it was amazing.

I wish they stuck to their own rules. There's constantly teen-agers in sandals, jeans, pajama pants; leaving their bags in the middle of the floor. Someone brought their Doberman in today, and it definitely was not a service dog. Plus so many people not wiping machines.

Also, if you come after 7 pm, be prepared to hunt down paper towels and cleaning spray after each machine. Half will be empty while the employees hang out with their friends at the front desk.

Unfortunately, when I first signed up, one of the Hydro beds was broken with 30 days two of them were broken. The tanning beds are like from 1910. They did a whole remodel didn't replace the tanning beds. In fact I can't figure out why the remodel was important because they opened with the walls, not even finished, but they were closed for a long time.

This is me least favorite PF in the greater Phoenix area. Every time I come in for a day pass it’s a different protocol and the employees always do things differently and have to ask their manager how to even give a day pass. Worst showers as well, they sometimes aren’t even hot! And always dirty in my experience. I actually told myself I wasn’t going back to this PF again my last time there so I guess this is just a warning if your looking for clean showers go to another gym.

This club has really gone downhill the last month or so. I mean it’s Planet Fitness so you know it’s not top tier but this is pathetic. I’ve been coming here for years and they either got new management or fired all their previous employees because the new ones are awful. There’s no less than 5 employees crowded behind the desk every time I come in and yet there’s no paper towels, the spray bottles are empty and best of all they all stand there when you walk up without acknowledging you so you stand their like an idiot waiting to scan in. Tonight I just scanned my own tag and walked in without anyone saying anything despite 3 people standing behind the counter. I miss the old employees they were so friendly and cool. I even went to a location in another part of town and it was such a breath of fresh air so coming back to this one is just such a bummer.
