They accept ALL service animals in there, including anxiety dogs. Who wants to work out beside a long haired dog inside a gym that is poorly ventilated? The people that actually need service dogs should only be allowed in there. The woman needs a service dog when she’s on the treadmill at a 16 incline and hanging on for life but she needs her service dog. She is NOT handicap. The people that actually need service dogs have proper documentation on the dog and it is helping them out. Evelyn, the so called “club manager”, accepts all kinds of animals. She doesn’t care as long as you’re paying your monthly payment. I refuse to go back. I will include a picture of her business card, not that it helps. She wants to manage a zoo.
Also, your TV selection stinks! You have all news channels and very few other options. Plus the TV Land on is NOT the correct choice. You obviously don't know or don't care.
I hope the night shift guy, Robert, can find a better job outside of Planet Fitness. I will also get in touch with the corporate office and the BBB.

Horrible customer service. My wife has a black card whatever membership. I came with her so she could use the shower before an appointment. I asked if i could use the equipment while i waited the response was no she has to be here. I said she is here using the shower. They said no sorry. Im pretty sure PF if you want to just try it out one time you can. That could have been an option or look up my wife and see she is here and a member and go right ahead. None of these options were offered just no sorry. I think the girls behind the counter need some customer service training. It was too easy to make a customer happy and it all washed iver their heads. I guess they were too buisey behind the counter gossiping about other customers and how they dress and what they wear. Yet another bad customer service quality.

I've been PF member for over a decade now. That being said I've been to quite a few facilities across the nation. I do not like this gym! The staff is awesome, very very nice, helpful and professional. On some level I feel bad for them because of the facility itself. The gym is small but it still fits the bill. My major gripe is the amount of equipment squeezed inside. Every piece of equipment is right on top of the next. No exaggeration, while using the cardio elliptical machine my knuckles were hitting the adjacent machine. Personal space does not exist here. God forbid someone unknowingly frequented the facility while sick. The equipment in the 30 min circuit area is no better. The space is severely small for the amount of equipment shoved in. I will not use this gym again and would advise others not to as well until the spacing is adequately addressed.
In terms of the equipment; Some of it is old but still functioning and well maintained.
Again my major concern is one of health and safety as far as proper spacing for equipment and maintaining a safe, comfortable, and healthy personal space.

I only give this location a 3 since it’s smaller than most other locations so there is limited equipment to use which also causes crowding around the equipment, especially the weight machines as people wait. Additionally, I feel it is due for an equipment upgrade like many other PF locations have already done.
Plus, since it’s summer there were a lot of high school aged kids on their phones more than working out. And of course they sit on the machines to do this.

Huge shoutout to Planet Fitness for having the Arc Trainer — easily the most underrated machine on the floor.

As someone with back pain and proprioception challenges, I’ve tried treadmills and ellipticals, but nothing compares to the Arc. It’s low-impact, spine-friendly, and when I use a low incline with higher resistance, it lights up my glutes and hamstrings in the best way — no quad takeover, no joint drama.

It feels like a mix of smart cardio and therapeutic movement, and I always leave feeling stronger, not wrecked. I just hope it never gets removed — I’d love to see more of them at every location!

This place has really gone downhill! I don't mind paying the extra for black card amenities if the equipment is in good working order. Their tanning bed has had more than half the lights burned out for more than 2 months. The "manager" has been saying the bulbs are on order. She really doesn't seem to have a clue. Nobody in management knows how to return a phone call. Just be aware that the contract they have you sign obligates you to pay to use the gym. They are under no obligation to keep their equipment in working order.

No enforcement of requiring people to clean the machines they use after sweating all over it. When brought to the attention of the person they threw a paper towel on the machine and stated “ you want it wiped down, you do it”.

The staff did nothing and they saw it happen.

I’m not going to get a sickness or disease from someone’s lack of common sense and their dirty / sweaty machines.

They allow people to hog machines between sets while they play video games. So people have to wait till they reach the next level in their game.

My only complaint is, it is soooo hot. If they are using AC, it's not hardly kicking on. It's very uncomfortable and stuffy inside. Not easy or enjoyable to work out in.

I’ve been going to this PF for around 10 months, I’m 60 and I appreciate the weightlifting machines, issues with my hands can make lifting free weights difficult. My only complaint is how hot it feels, but then I see folks in workout jackets/ long pants and figure it’s just me😆 I like being able to get in, get done, and enjoy my “me time”. The employees are very polite.

EVERY time i go in:: Only 4 stair climber machines, one or two are always out of order. (meanwhile there are TONS of elliptical and treadmills that aren't in use). This has been going on as long as I've been a member.
Wish they'd replace a few treadmills with stair climber machines. The last 6 times I've been in, the few working stair climbers were occupied and I couldn't use them.

I tried to cancel my membership to Oro Valley Planet Fitness over the phone and the associate said I had to come in person. I told him I’d be out of town for a couple weeks. He said I had to come in person so I did and then they said sorry it’s now too close to your cancellation date, so they made me pay for a extra month that I didn’t need. So I humble appeal to the Manager and they said sorry, It’s in the contract. So I’m Done with planet fitness in Oro Valley, the manager is very rude !!! 😳

This is the worst location in Tucson. It does not have as many of the same machines as other locations, it is smaller, and the water fountain has been broken for an extended period of time. The main detractor is atmosphere as almost every person in here stares at others more than they work out. Every single time I come here I have someome following me around the gym or blatantly staring from across the room. This location has a dedicated base of locals and the majority of them are rude.

Honestly, I love this gym. I always leave with a hefty pump and sore muscles. The protein drinks are always in stock, there are a good amount of machines for variety, and almost everyone is very nice. Sometimes, it does smell like someone is farting with a piece of ketchup engrained but it never stops me from pumping that sweet iron, baby girl. I’ve met some great people here and I’ve learned a lot on my fitness journey. Usually, the equipment is open and people move relatively quick onto the next machine they want. Sometimes there are people who hog the squat racks, and you can tell people are annoyed, so if that’s you, cut it out hahaha. When I enter the doors, my smile re-emerges and my teeth chatter with excitement. Let’s jump.

Most of the staff is friendly with a few exceptions. There is not nearly enough space for members to stretch. There is no enforcement of members wiping down or replacing equipment so many times it is a bit chaotic and unorganized. I recommend always wiping down your equipment both before and after use! The price is appropriate for the service.

We showed up one morning and our cards were inactive. The young man working there was unsure of the problem so he handed us off to an experienced young lady who knew exactly what the problem was. We’re back on board and loving the new experience (never worked out at a fitness center before). The place is very clean. We see employees vacuuming and wiping down equipment most days that we go there. I even saw a young man clean a table- not just the top but he tipped the table and wiped down the legs of the table. Now that is awesome. That was a first in all my 69 years!! The equipment works well and one employee showed me how to use various pieces of equipment that I was unfamiliar with. I have some health issues and wanted to be safe using the equipment. He was extremely kind and helpful. Love this place. Keep up the good work!!

The Rooney Ranch Planet Fitness is very close to my home, making it more convenient for my husband and I. It is very affordable and judgment free. There's a great variety of equipment, the staff are always friendly and the facilities are very clean. It's a great place to work out.

I just joined. I love this gym, fabulous treadmills! BUT....PLEASE OH PLEASE put hooks in the shower stalls. A metal bench would be nice too. Those of us who shower after a workout have no private place to hang our towels nor our clothes. No place inside the shower to put our stuff. So frustrating.

Very dissapointed. Previously I have been a member here and was very happy. I took a break due to my inability to utilize the membership for a time because of my schedule. I was hoping to return but recently became aware of the national policy of men being allowed to use the Women's locker room and vice versa. I was hoping that our local PF would not be endorsing that. Sadly I was told very clearly that men are allowed to use the Women's locker room if they choose to.

Stopped on our way to Climb in Mt Lemmon. Small gym. Nice staff. But really what I went for was a shower- so Ladies Locker room was ample, they do have hair dryers. Changing rooms were off to the side but very nice and THANK you for the stools/chairs in there. Great water pressure and the water was hot. Clean restroom. Great place. Lots of equipment, showers, training rooms, massage chairs, and helpful staff. Only drawback is that if you want to cancel your membership you have to go in person to the location that you signed up at or send a letter to them. They require your bank routing number for sign up. Returned as a guest with a Black card holder. Guests and regular members are not allowed access to massage chairs or hydromassage tables. Only Black card members have access to these.

I have had an excellent experience at Oro Valley Planet Fitness. The staff is very welcoming and friendly towards all the new and returning customers. They greet everyone who enters or leaves the facility, which is nice. The workout area is always clean and tidy. The staff works hard to maintain it, whether working alone or as a team of two. However, I have noticed that the hot water in the men's shower area used to be better. It might be due to overuse in the morning by other customers.
